Natalie Ann (Sobala) Janik, 75 years old, passed away on December 20, 2019 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital.  She was born in Niagara Falls on February 3, 1944, the daughter of the late Victor and Julia (Zdrojewski) Sobala.  

Natalie was a graduate of Madonna High School where she was a member of their first sophomore class.  She worked as a secretary and receptionist for many years at Gross Plumbing and Heating and SIHI Pumps, Inc.  She was a member of
St. John De LaSalle Church.​

Natalie was predeceased by her husband,
John J. Janik, Jr. who passed away on December 22, 1994.  She is survived by her sisters; Julia (late Edward) Kubica and Virginia Henry; several nieces and nephews; her brothers-in-law, David Slowik, Sr. and Peter Henry.  ​

Friends may call on Friday from 2 until 5 pm at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. John De LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, with Rev. Slawomir Siok officiating.  Please assemble at church.  Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery.

12302 Natalie Certo, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Victoria (Wiegel) Bator.
Natalie attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On October 18, 1952 she married her beloved husband, Andrea Henry ‘Hank’ P. Certo at the former Holy Trinity Church. Mr. Certo predeceased her in 2009 after 57 memorable years together raising their eight children and supporting her husband in operating Certo Brothers Distributing Company. Natalie was an avid reader, excellent cook and happy homemaker who enjoyed knitting, traveling with her husband, as well as wintering in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 
Natalie is survived by seven children, Cathy (late Ron) Vilardo, Andrea ‘Hank’ (Shayne) Certo, Marie (Ken) DeMont, Joseph (Nancy) Certo, Ken (Tracy) Certo, Dr. Margaret Certo and Mark (Kristin) Certo; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was sadly predeceased by her son, Peter I. (Rose) Certo and her two sisters, Lillian (late Walter) Bryk and Charlotte Strassburg.  
The family wishes to thank Natalie’s dedicated care aide, Kathy Ruggerio for her love and support, as well as the nursing staff at N.F. Memorial Hospital and Schoellkopf Health Center for their care and compassion. 
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 3 from 10-11 AM in St. Raphael’s Parish, 3840 Macklem Avenue Niagara Falls, NY, where Natalie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. 12303 Natalie S. (Mietlicki) Gornicki 81 of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Lewiston, NY on January 16, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Mojeski) Mietlicki. Natalie worked as a waitress at the former Beverley Lanes. She enjoyed her home in Florida, playing bingo and going to the casino. Natalie especially enjoyed going to the casinos & resorts in Biloxi, Mississippi with her husband Casimir.


She is survived by two daughters, Julia E. Duguay and Lydia J. (Thomas) Watson ; son, Gary(Tina) Mietlicki; grandkids, Brianna, Lia, Nina and Hayley; sister, Betty(Tim) Zettel ;brothers, Richard Mietlicki, Frank(Barbara) Mietlicki and Henry(Janet) Mietlicki. Also survived by her nephew Ronald Luzak and several other nieces and nephews.


Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband's James M. Gall Sr. and Casimir Gornicki; son, James M. Gall Jr.; brothers, Chester Mietlicki and Edward W. Mietlicki Sr.; sisters, Irene Ohol Schlegel, Helen Stopa, Mary Luzak, Lottie Luzak, Pearl Cieslik and Dolores Meller.

12304 NATHAN OLIVER FERCHEN "Ollie", age 95 of Bergholz, was called peacefully to his heavenly home on July 6, 2018, while at the Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 21, 1923, son of the late Eric and Elsie (Mueller) Ferchen. He was united in marriage to Shirley (Brooks) Ferchen on June 7, 1947. She preceded him in death on December 26, 2004. Ollie served in the United States Army during World War II, and received the Purple Heart. A lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz; he was employed as a truck driver for Staffen Trucking, Tonawanda, the Town of Wheatfield, and Prezezio Trucking. Ollie was a member of the American Legion- Wheatfield Post 1451, the Bergholz German Band, and was an avid Yankees fan.
Survivors include four children, DeEtte (husband Francis Giles) Ferchen, Charlene (Randall) Scherrer both of Bergholz, Russell (Karen) Ferchen of Lockport, and Justine (Richard) Wright of Bergholz; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Bethany, Vanessa, Stephanie, Michele, Cindi, Joseph, and Tyler; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Muriel) Ferchen of Bergholz; and a brother in law, Joseph (Carole) Brooks.
Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Tuesday (July 10) from 3-7 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Services for Mrs. Ella L. Schulz, 74, of 1816 18th St., will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Schulz died Saturday July 10, 1965) at the Restwell Nursing Home after a two year illness. She was born in Niagara Falls, June 9, 1891, the daughter of George and Albertine Mueller Collins. She was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Her husband, Martin F. Schulz, died In 1951.
Mrs. Schulz is survived by two sons, Rev. Leonard J. Schulz, Nayudupeta, India, and Paul M. Schulz, Niagara Falls; four daughters, Mrs. Emery (Lydia) Hughes, Niagara Falls; Mrs. Albert (Gertrude) Fetzer, Sanborn; Mrs. James (Ruth) Robinson, Rochester, and Mrs. Harland (Florence) Allen, Kenmore. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ambrose (Frances) Franke, and two brothers, Raymond G. Collins and Benjamin Collins, all of Niagara Falls; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

12306 NEBELECKY - Alfred Age 94, died at his home March 22, 2019 under the loving care of his family. AI was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. He was born in the family home of Vasil and Anna on Payne Avenue. He attended public schools until his senior year when he was drafted due to the outbreak of World War II. His father proudly went to graduation to receive his diploma. While in school AI excelled in academics and athletics. He was a 2004 inductee to the North Tonawanda Football Hall of Fame. AI enlisted in the Army and served, he would tell you 3 years and 28 days. He reached the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 78th Infantry 310 Lightning Division-Company D. During WWII AI served in Europe. His infantry division was the first to cross into Cologne, Germany at the Remagen Bridgehead. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge at Hurtgen Forest. At the end of the war his unit supported the liberation of the Buchenwald Nazi Concentration Camp. He was a Bronze Star recipient. Upon returning home from the Army, AI met and married Virginia L. Newton of Buffalo. They were married for 63 years and had three children. AI worked into the 1990's as a cement mason, through the Plasterers and Cement Masons Union Local 111 out of Niagara Falls. During retirement he and Virginia spent time at the family cabin, taking family vacations, playing cards, bowling and going to the Niagara Casino. AI loved to watch sports on television. His favorite teams were the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. For the past four years AI has been a client at the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Adult Day Services Center. AI's wife Virginia, eldest son Craig, along with his siblings; Mary Ann St. Peter, John Nebelecky, Josephine Burnell, Rose Kline and Walter Nebelecky, all predeceased him. He is survived by his son, Dennis (Wendy) Nebelecky; daughter, Deborah (Gary) Proefrock; daughter-in-law, Marjorie (Philip) Proch; four grandchildren, Gregory Nebelecky, Sara (Jeffrey) Nebelecky Whipple, Heather Proefrock and Jeremy Nebelecky; sisters and brothers-in-law; along with several nieces and nephews. 12307 NEFF - Donald Omer August 6, 1946 - December 24, 2017, Donald Neff passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in Nolensville, TN on December 24th, 2017 at the age of 71. Don lived life to its fullest, always moving from one adventure to the next. He was the life of every party, with an endless supply of entertaining stories to share. Don spent the last couple years extensively traveling the world with friends and family in retirement, visiting Croatia, Greece, The Netherlands, Hawaii, and many other exciting destinations. A Navy veteran, Don had a lifelong love of boats and water. He previously served as Commodore of the Seal Beach Yacht Club in Seal Beach, CA. He was also a lover of cars, devoting his entire career to the automotive industry. Don is survived by his loving wife Nancy Neff, sons Jason Neff of Colorado and Jeremy Neff of Hawaii, sisters Helen Bremner of Florida and Marilyn Raymond of Colorado, and nine nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Merrill and Marion Neff. 12309 Neil J. Demmin, age 69, of Cambria died unexpectedly following a house fire on Wednesday, October 12th, 2022, at his home. Neil was born November 14th, 1952, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Clifford and the late Mabel (Gotts) Demmin. He was employed by the Union Sun & Journal and Niagara Gazette, first as a maintenance worker and then moving to the mailroom. 12310 Neil L. Arnold of Fort Myers, FL entered peacefully into rest at the age of 93, Saturday, December 7, 2019.  He was born in Ransomville, NY on November 3, 1926.  Beloved husband of the late Patricia; dear father of Lynn Arnold, Katherine (Rev. Dr. James) Stevens, and Jane (Terry) Ford; grandfather of eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his siblings and spouses Melva (Edgar) Beecher (Kirby) Craft, Elwin (Mattie) Arnold, and June (Charles) Champlain. On September 4, 2014 Neil and Patricia celebrated 62 years of marriage.  Neil was a minister for 40 years in the Western New York Conference of the United Methodist Church, faithfully serving the Belmont/Phillips Creek, Hume/Fillmore, Perry, Newfane, Walworth/West Walworth, East Rochester and Clarence Center United Methodist Churches.  After retirement to Burt, NY, Neil and Pat moved to Fort Myers and enjoyed living in the Shell Point Retirement Community.

12311 Neil M. Gruppo, 95, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Pasqualina (Bianco) Gruppo.
Neil was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II, until his honorable discharge in 1947.
Upon his discharge, Neil returned home and was employed by the N.F. Board of Education where he served as the Union Leader. Neil then became the Niagara Falls City Parks Director for many years prior to retiring in 1991.
On June 23, 1951, he married his beloved wife, Mary H. (Brooks) Gruppo, in St. Joseph Church. Mary later predeceased him in 2016, after 65 loving years together.
Neil was a former chairman on the board of directors of the Niagara Community Action Program and served as a past president on the board of the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Niagara County (Intandem). He was also a former board member for the Niagara County SPCA.
Neil was an accomplished baseball player competing in several leagues throughout the area where he contributed to many of his team’s championship titles. In 2009, he was inducted into the Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame.
Neil was an avid golfer and looked forward to organizing an annual trip to Cross Creek Resort in Pennsylvania with his son, Neil, his nephews and countless friends. He was also a passionate fan of the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills and Notre Dame Football.
In his younger years, he enjoyed vacationing to Florida and Italy. Most memorably was a trip to his parent’s hometown in Italy, with his grandsons, Adam and Mario.
Neil lived for the time spent with his family, especially during the holidays. His utmost pride and joy in life were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who he was so proud of.
Mr. Gruppo is survived by his children, Linda (Keith) Radford, Cheryl (Mario) Nardelli, Neil (Rhonda) Gruppo and Nancy (John) Colucci; his grandchildren, Noelle (Eric) McGuire, Dr. Adam (Michelle) De Fazio, Daniel (Lindsay) Gruppo, Mario (Jillian) Colucci, Cara Nardelli, Anthony (Danielle) Gruppo, Alexa (Tony) De Fazio-Abrego and Katie (Anthony) Sanford, and was predeceased by his cherished grandson Eric De Fazio. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Maximus and Mia McGuire, Azzurra, Lucia and Julian De Fazio, Liliana and Carlotta Colucci, Stella Gruppo, Emiliano Abrego and was happily awaiting another great-granddaughter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Neil was predeceased by all of his siblings, Josephine (late Rocky) Caprio, Dolores (late Joseph) Brigante, Bessie (late Peter) Nicosia, Constance (late John) Barber, Nancy (late Anthony) Travis, Marion (late Richard) Buscemi, Mae (late Louis) Trapasso and Daniel (late Lillian) Gruppo.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Neil’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. 12312 Neil Richard Neumann, of Ransomville, NY, entered into the presence of his precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 23, 2020. He was born on July 25, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY. Neil was the son of the late Laurence and Lillian Neumann; the faithful husband of Cynthia for over 55 years.
Neil went to Wilson High School where he excelled at basketball, baseball and continued to play both into his 50's. He served his country honorably aboard the USS Northampton CC-1 from 1964 to 1968.
After the Navy, he worked at Harrison Radiator for 30 years, until his retirement. He kept busy teaching Sunday school, avidly playing his trumpet and enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He came out of retirement at age 69, driving bus for the kids at Lewiston-Porter. Neil was a dedicated member, elder, and Sunday school teacher at Niagara Frontier Bible Church. He enjoyed visiting Fort Niagara, where he read and watched sunsets with his wife.
Survived by his wife, Cynthia (Hill) Neumann; his siblings, David (Carol), Richard (JoAnn), Mark (Lonnie), Marcia (late Ken) Hockenberry and Kelly (Mark) Ritchey; his children, Stephanie (Jeff) Gifford, Todd (Kippy) Neumann, Renee Neumann (Joseph Wraith), Aimee (James) Stefanski, Paula (John) Gifford, Stephen (Melissa) Neumann, Cherie (Joel) Garven, Michelle and Crystal Neumann; along with 28 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three on the way.
A memorial service for Neil will be held at Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Dr., Lewiston, July 3rd, 2021 at 10 AM.

12313 Nellie Shaheen Elias, 97, passed from her earthly life to a heavenly one on February 2, 2015 after living with dementia for the last 7 years. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on September 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Abraham and Shafika (Fadel )Shaheen.

Nellie was happiest when she was cooking or baking or in the presence of children many of whom she was care-giver for. She was loved by all for her infectious laughter, her multi-course lebanese meals, her chocolate cake and her cream puffs.

She was the wife of the late Soad Elais, who died in May of 1961. Nellie is survived by her children George (Mona) Elias, Robert (Kathleen) Elias, Madaline (Richard) Staniszewski and Mark (Beth) Elias as well as eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, godchildren and close friends. Nellie was the sister of the late Jeanie Batrouny, Juliette Wainwright, Helen Anthony, Sylvia Haick, Ethel Anthony and William Shaheen.

Nellie donated her body to the University of Buffalo School of Medicine, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2015 at 12:00 PM Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish, St. Joseph’s Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nellie's name may be made to the Alzheimers Association, WNY Chapter 2805 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville, NY or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY.

12314 Nellie A. Morreale, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 10, 2021 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale Pannazzo and late Pasqualina (Angerilli) (late Antonio) Restaino.
Nellie was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On September 12, 1953, she married Joseph S. Morreale.  Mr. Morreale predeceased her on May 17, 1998.  Nellie was employed as a Cutter/Bundler for Treasure Knits in Niagara Falls, NY.  She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her family.
Nellie is survived by her children, Dominick M. Morreale and Geraldine Morreale; her sister, Angelina (late Samuel) Amantia, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was predeceased by her son, Patrick J. Morreale, her brother, Anthony (Rose) Restaino, her sister, Rose Giovannucci, and her brother-in-law, Carmen (Louise) Morreale, Ret. Chief, NFFD.

12315 Nels E. Newman, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.  Born on May 24, 1927 in Clow, MN, he was the son of the late Einer and Vina (Beck) Newman.
 
Mr. Newman was raised in Minnesota and enlisted in the United States Navy on May 4, 1945, serving until his honorable discharge on July 5, 1946.  Nels then earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and went on using his trade as an employee of E.I. DuPont. He loved going to the beach and being outdoors and apart of nature.  Above all, Mr. Newman was devoted to his family.
 
Mr. Newman is survived by children, Sally Mastrangelo, Mary Lynn (Robert) Marcolini, Nels A. Newman and Patty Jo (David) LeGault; grandchildren, Joseph, Koresa, Nina, Tricia, Mary, Anna, Christy Jo, Jacob, Cloe, Michael and Calista and 6 great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Nels was predeceased by his two spouses, Mary F. (Figler) Newman and Marcia M. (Leverentz) Newman and his sister, Dorothy.

Of North Tonawanda, New York passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 89. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Artha R. (nee Rumbold) Nassiff, and was a loving father to his six children; Steven N. (Deborah Wanecski) Nassiff, Philip A. (Doreen) Nassiff, Cynthia E. (Fred) Adcock, Pamela R. (John) Kasprzyk, Rebecca S. (Jason) Senft, and Peter D. Nassiff. Also survived by his sister-in-law Marilyn L. Rumbold, his nephews; Donald (Lynn) DePaolo and family, and David (Debi) DePaolo and family, as well as being blessed with seven grandchildren; Jeffrey (Chloe) Hazel, Jeanette Nassiff, Joshua (Kimberly) Kasprzyk, Autumn Kasprzyk, Ashlea Senft, Noah Senft, Brennan Senft, and two great-grandchildren; Jack Hazel and Leilah Kasprzyk.
Nelson was the son of the late Alice (Monsour) Nassiff and Elias Nassif. He is predeceased by his sisters; Lila (Robert) MacDonald, Lorraine (Dominic) DePaolo, Olivia Nassif, and his late nieces; Alice MacDonald Walters and Sue (James) Nickel.
Nelson was a 1952 graduate of North Tonawanda high school and was a member of Ascension Catholic Church. As a musician, he was a singer and saxophone player in the bands, “midnight” and “generation gap”, and a member of the Ganson Street Tigers, having organized the annual picnics. He enjoyed martial arts and was an expert in judo and karate. Nelson was an automobile mechanic and service station owner and operator for fifty years and worked as a groundskeeper for the North Tonawanda City School District.
We will always carry his memory in our hearts.

12318 Nelson G. Dockstader, 81, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life, suddenly, on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born on October 29, 1937 in Howard, NY, he was the son of the late Stanley and Ernestine (Pierce) Dockstader.  On April 6, 1974, Nelson married the former Barbara A. Britton.
 
Mr. Dockstader graduated from Avoca High School and earned his Bachelors Degree in Travel, Trade and Tourism from Niagara University. Following his education, Nelson began working on the railroad . He ended his career with CSX Transportation, retiring on October 1, 1999.  Throughout his career, Mr. Dockstader was the recipient of several awards for his service and dedication to safety. Nelson and Barbara were congregants of Grace Lutheran Church.  He was a member of the Niagara County Sportsmen’s Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.  Above all, Mr. Dockstader loved spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionally knew him as “papa.”
 
In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. Dockstader is survived by children, Mona (Timothy) Schmelzle, Mark (Dawn) Packer, Michael (Jennie Lee) Packer and Maxine (Jeff) Menshon; grandchildren, Jacob and Kyle Schmelzle, Kristina Packer and Kayla and Kelsey Menshon; siblings, Phyllis (late Lt. Col. William) Koenemann and Carl (Candice) Dockstader and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Nelson was predeceased by a brother, Stanley A. (late Dee) Dockstader.

Nelson J. Linza, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 12, 2024 at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Oscar Linza and Florence (Jankowski) (late Charles) Guagenti.
Nelson was a 1969 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On October 8, 1983, he married Diane M. (Klejdys) Linza at the Niagara Falls Wintergarden.  Nelson was employed by Union Carbide and later as a Chemical Operator with DuPont Chemical in Niagara Falls for over 30 years until his retirement in 2012.  In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, volleyball and softball in local leagues and coaching his wife’s baseball team at the Crazy Horse.  Nelson loved golfing, boating, and socializing with his many friends, and was affectionately known as “The Mayor of Niagara Falls”.  He will be remembered most for his larger-than-life personality.
In addition to his beloved wife of 40 years, Nelson is survived by his children, Cara (Grant) Gibson, Yvonne (Dan) Sorensen, Carrie Ann Scrivano, and Anthony Scrivano; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Cain, Sarah, Rob, Niki, Brandon, Lilian and Rhiannon; his great-grandchildren, Derek and Julia; his sisters, Joanne Haferkamp and Marilyn Linza-Delahoy; his mother-in-law, Elaine (late Bill) Sdao, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

12321 Nelson S. Goodrich passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2022. He was born on May 14, 1932 in North Tonawanda to Chauncey and Gladys Goodrich. He was confirmed at Saint Martin's Lutheran Church in 1949. He was a 1950 graduate of North Tonawanda Senior High School. He attended Bryant/Stratton College where he received an Associates Degree in Business. Nelson proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956, as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. He served on 4 different destroyers, including the U.S.S. Rowe, assisting the Captain with office duties. After his discharge from the Navy he married Faith Gath and raised their family of 4 boys. He worked for Rich Products in Buffalo as the Director of Distribution. His hobbies included gardening, painting the barn, and golfing. He absolutely loved watching the movie "My Cousin Vinny" and various sports on TV. From 2001-2013, Nelson enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with his wife Faith. An innovative knack for repairing broken objects, he usually found a way to get things working again. A man of great faith in God, Nelson loved his family deeply.

Eric M. Warburg, an international banker and a member of the German banking family, died on Monday at his home in Hamburg, West Germany. He was 90 years old.

He died of cardiac disease, his daughter, Dr. Marie Warburg, said.

Mr. Warburg retired in 1982 as a managing partner of M. M. Warburg, Brinckmann, Wirtz & Company, a private banking house in Hamburg. From 1939 to 1973 he was president of E. M. Warburg, Pincus & Company in New York.

Born in Hamburg on April 15, 1900, Mr. Warburg was educated at the Heinrich Hertz-Realgymnasium in Hamburg, served in the German Army in 1918 and learned the banking business in Berlin, Frankfurt, London and New York.

Awarded Legion of Merit

From 1929 to 1938 he was a managing partner of M. M. Warburg & Company in Hamburg and of Warburg & Company of Amsterdam. A Jew, he fled Germany in 1938 and in World War II served as a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army. He was an intelligence officer and took part in the interrogation of leading Nazis, including Hermann Goring.

As the war in Europe drew to a close, he helped arrange for German scientists and their families to be taken to the West. He was awarded the Legion of Merit by the United States, the Order of the British Empire and the Croix de Guerre. He was an ardent proponent of United States reconciliation with Germany and was a founding member of the American Council on Germany in New York. He also served as treasurer of the International Rescue Committee.

He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothea Thorsch; a son, Max, of Hamburg; two daughters, Dr. Marie Warburg of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and Erica Warburg of Hamburg; two sisters, Anita Warburg of Manhattan and Gisela Warburg-Wyzanski of Cambridge, Mass., and four grandchildren.

Gisela Warburg Wyzanski, a leader in Zionist women's and youth activities for several decades, died yesterday at her home in Cambridge, Mass. She was 79 years old.

She died of leukemia, her famlly said.

Mrs. Wyzanski was a longtime national board member of Hadassah, the American women's Zionist organization, and worked in Berlin in the Hitler era with Youth Aliah, a group that resettled Jewish children in Palestine and other countries.

She was born in Hamburg and came to the United States as a refugee in 1939. She served for a quarter-century as chairman for the Boston area of the greeting-card fund-raising campaign for Unicef.

Her husband, Charles E. Wyzanski, a former chief judge of Federal District Court in Boston, whom she married in 1943, died in 1986. She is survived by a son, Charles M. Wyzanski, and a daughter, Anita Robboy, both of Cambridge; a sister, Anita Warburg of Manhattan, and four granddaughters.

For the last 10 years, Mr. Klumpp had lived with a daughter, Miss Freda Klumpp, at 24 Bell St., Buffalo. He was born in Buffalo, Jan. 24, 1875, a son of Bernhardt and Mary Gulkelberger Klumpp. He married Katherine Heck, in Buffalo, Oct. 25, 1899. She died in 1952 at Ridgewood, where they were making their home at the time. Mr. Klumpp was a farmer throughout his life, retiring in 1953. He was a life member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ridgewood, where he served as trustee for many years. This community was greatly shocked Wednesday by the sudden death of Anna B. Schwenk, wife of George E. Martus, of this village. Mrs. Martus, after dinner, accompanied Mrs. L. F. Schmidt to attend a tea at the home of Miss Margaret Traxel for the benefit of the Woman's Auxiliary of Saint Paul's church. As they came to the house, Mrs. Martus complained of a severe pain in her chest and Miss Traxel, bemg a trained nurse, attended Mrs. Martus, who suffered a severe heart attack and she passed away before Mr, Martus or a physician arrived. Mrs. Martus was born in Constablevllle, November 23, 1862, daughter of the late Andrew and Elisabeth Weber Schwenk. She had always resided in this place. November, 1882, she was united in marriage with George E. Martus, of this place. Two daughters were born to them, Miss Jessie Martus, who passed away July 18, 1918, and Miss Bertha E. Martus, of Washington, D. C. Mrs. Martus was a lady of quiet unassuming manner and made many friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and the sympathy of many is extended to the bereaved ones. She was a member of the Lutheran church, and for past years she affiliated with St Paul's Episcopal church. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Miss Bertha E. Martus; a sister, Mrs. Anthony LJnck, of this place, and three brothers, George J. Schwenck, Constableville; Charles, Ilion, and Rudolph, of Taberg; also several nieces and nephews. Miss Elisabeth Zlmmer, niece, resided, with her aunt. The funeral services were conducted from her late home Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. George Dudley Barr, of St. Paul's church, officiating. There were many beautiful flowers and floral emblems surround ing the casket. Among them was a piece from neighbors, the Woman's Auxiliary of St Paul's church and many from relatives and friends. Interment was made in the family lot in Constableville Rural Cemetery, in charge of Undertaker Clarence L. Trainor. Edward Kraeger, William Greene, John Van Zandt, Nelson Hayes, Arvln Kirk, and James O. Traxel served as bearers. Percy Page, 72, of 473 26th St., died today (Sept. 6, 1958) at his home after a short illness. Born in Dover, England, Mr. Page had lived in this city for 51 years and was employed in the maintenance department of the Carborundum Co. until his retirement seven years ago. He was a veteran of the Army and served overseas in World War II. Falls Woman, 79, Dies After Year's Illness
In poor health for a year, Mrs. Amanda Lange, 79 of 8721 Pershing Avenue, died today in Memorial Hospital. Born in Walmore, she had resided in Niagara Falls most of her life.: She is survived by two sons, Alfred F. and Alwinnie E., both of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Meitz, Akron, N.Y.; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The Rev. Lawrence Herfurth, Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home, 8721 Pershing avenue. Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery.

Grobengiener (sic), well known in Niagara county, where he has visited many times and where he has many relatives and friends. Mr. Grobengiener (sic) died Monday after a long illness. He was 69 years old. He is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Bertha Milleville. and two daughters and three sons, all of Altemont (sic).

Aged Lockport Merchant Dies
Albert E. Williams Founded Store in 1857
LOCKPORT, June I6.-Albert E. Williams, 81, who with his late brother, William A. Williams, founded the mercantile firm of Williams Brothers company in 1857, died at 9 o'clock this morning at his home at 327 High street. He had been ill for several years and was forced to retire in 1928 because of poor health.
Born in Speppin (sic), Germany, Mr. Williams and his brothers came to this country with their parents when but small boys. The family settled near Sanborn, coming to this city a few years later. He was an extensive traveler.
A Republican in politics, Mr. Williams for many years gave liberally of his time and money for the Y. M. C. A. and Grace Episcopal church of which he was an active member. He was a member of the Town and Country club and the Tuscarora club.
Surviving are the widow, Emily Dameron Williams, of this city, and two brothers, Gustave H., of Sanborn, and Ferdinand W., of Niagara Falls. The funeral services have not been arranged for.

Albert L. Haseley, 86, of 2035 Lockport Road died today (Jan, 3, 1980) in the Mount View Health Facility after a lengthy illness.
He was a native of the community of Walmore, where he was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was interested in and had studied the heritage of many of the German families of the Walmore and Sanborn area.
He had operated a farm on Lockport Road most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kroening Haseley, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore, with the Rev. Paul F. Wittenberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Friday at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn.

Amanda Mielke
PEKIN - Mrs. Amanda Mielke, 80, of Upper Mountain Road, died today (March 22, 1979) in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.
She was a native of Bergholtz and had resided in Pekin for the past 62 years. She was the wife of the late Elmer Mielke who died in 1965.
She was a member of St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and Altar Guild of the church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Marian) Ellman, Mrs. David (Norma) Stoltzenberg and Mrs. Marvin ( Phyllis) Stoelting, of Pekin; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donald Mielke. There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Albert H. Gaal officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family said contributions to the Lutheran Service Society will be acceptable as tributes. Arrangements are being made by the Rhoney Funeral Home.

BERGHOLTZ. Jan. 30.-The funeral of Mrs. Auguste Burow (Ferchen) 75 years old, who died of pneumonia at her home, was well attended. Pallbearers were Albert De Vantier, Herman Schimshack (sic), Albert Dubois, Rudolf Kuhlman, John Ferchen and John Moll. Chevrolet worker, 41, resided in Sanborn
SANBORN - Bruce V. Wolf, 41, of Griffin Street, died Wednesday (Nov. 25, 1992) in Buffalo General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born on April 3, 1951, in Niagara Falls, the son of Edwin and Alice (Haseley) Wolf. He had resided in Sanborn throughout his life.
He was a life member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
He worked at the Saginaw Plant of the Chevrolet Division in Buffalo for 10 years.
Wolf is survived by his wife, Laurie R. (Feger) Wolf; three daughters, Michelle Wolf, Melinda Wolf and Jessica Wolf, all of Sanborn; a son, Jason Wolf of Sanborn; his mother, Alice Wolf of Sanborn; a sister, Susan Wolf of Sanborn; several aunts and uncles.
His father died in 1986.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Dubois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Sanborn (sic). The Rev. Herbert R. . Maxwell will conduct services at 4 p.m. Sunday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or to the American Cancer Society.

NORTH TONAWANDA, April 10. -Christian Frederick Ferchen, 68 years old, died Sunday night at his home in Bergholz, where he had been a lifelong resident. For 15 years he was teacher of the St. Jacob's parochial school in Bergholz. He is survived by a wife, Augusta; two sons, Hugo, Sanborn, and Errick (sic), Bergholz; two daughters, Miss Adelia Ferchen, and Mrs. Arthur Williams, Bergholz; eight grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Hattie I. Heidenfeldt, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. August Burow, Bergholz. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and half an hour later at the Holy Ghost church, Bergholz. Rev. John Kuchenbecker officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Ghost cemetery.

BERGHOLTZ, April 14.-The passing of Christian Frederick Ferchen, who peacefully passed away at his home in this village, at the age of 68 years, removes one of the most popular residents of this vicinity, whose life was in every respect an exemplification of Christianity and civility. Mr. Ferchen was born in this village on the 12th of August, 1859. His parents were among the first settlers of this vicinity. He at one time was a parochial school teacher for 15 years for the St. Jacob's congregation. Being of a kind, loving character, he not only endeared himself to his own family, but also to everyone with whom he came in contact. He was a talented musician, when nine years old, he started to play in a band. He also played a violin and bass viol. Mr. Ferchen had been in good health until about two weeks ago, when he was taken ill with erysipelas. The funeral services were held from the home at 2 o'clock and at 2:30 o'clock at the Holy Ghost church, Thursday. The services being conducted by the Rev. J. Kuchenbecker. He leaves a wide circle of friends, besides his wife, Auguste, two sons, Hugo of Sanborn and Erich at home, two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Williams and Miss Adelia Ferchen, at home; one brother, William Ferchen, two sisters. Mrs. Hattie Heidenfeldt and Mrs. August Burow. He also leaves eight grandchildren.
Flower bearers were: Edgar Milleville, Theodor (sic) Heuer, Herbert Strassburg, Alfred Heidenfeldt, Martin Milleville, Clarence Wittkopp, Lester Wurl and Wilmer Wurl. Pallbearers were: John Moll, August Mueller, Fred Wurl, August Williams, Philip Mueller and August Sy. Burial was in the Holy Ghost Cemetery.
