Mrs. Wilhelmina S. Haseley, Well Known Resident of County, Passes.
Mrs. Wilhelmina S. Haseley, 67 years old, of the Lockport road, Sanborn, died suddenly at the home of her daughter Mrs. Fred Farnwald of the Lockport Road, Sanborn. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Haseley family home and at the St. Peters Lutheran Church at 2:30 pm. The Rev. Edward Grabau will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Walmore cemetery. Mrs. Haseley had resided in Niagara County for many years and was widely known in the Sanborn and Walmore localities. She is survived by her husband Ferdinand, two sons, Anthony of the LaSalle section, and Hubert C., Walmore, and six daughters, Mrs. Fred Farnwald, Mrs. Arthur Wendt, Mrs. Edward DeVantier, Mrs. Albert Kroening, and Mrs. Carl Milleville, all of Niagara County.

Sanborn Woman Passes in Hospital after Emergency Operation.
SANBORN, N. Y. - Mrs. Minnie Wendt, 51, of the Lockport road near Sanborn, died last night in DeGraff Memorial hospital, North Tonawanda. where she underwent an emergency operation on December 23. She was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Minnie Haseley, of the Town of Niagara, and resided in the Saunders Settlement road, to her Lockport road home ten years ago. She was a member of St. Peter's German Lutheran church, of Walmore. She is survived by four-sons, Ervin, of North Tonawanda; Relnert, of Niagara Falls, and Arthur and Herbert, of Sanborn; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Cvetan and Miss Minnie Wendt, of Sanborn; two brothers, Anthony and Hubert Haseley, of Niagara Palls, and five sisters, Mrs. Fred Fahrnwald, Mrs. Philip Fahrnwald and Mrs. Albert Kroening, of Sanborn, and Mrs. Carl Mllleville and Mrs. Edwin DeVantier, of Niagara Falls. Ten grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held from the family home at 2 p. m. Sunday, with services in St. Peter's church at Walmore at 2:30 p. m., the Rev. Edward A. Grabau officiating. Burial will be in Walmore cemetery.

Rites for Former North Tonawanda Man to Be Held Tomorrow
North Tonawanda, Dec. 7 - The funeral of Ernest Deutschmann, 82, a resident of North Tonawanda for nearly 60 years, who died yeaterday at the home of his daughter Mrs. George Kohler, in Elma, N.Y., will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Lon Barret , 50 Bryant street. The Rev. Clarence A. Braun, superintendent of the Lutheran orphanage and former pastor of Grace Lutheran church in North Tonawanda, will officiate and interment will be in the Sweeney cemetery. Mr. Deutschmann was born in Germany. He came to America at the age of 22 and located in Tonawanda, where he continued his residence until a few months ago, when he went to Elma to live with his daughter. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kohler and Mrs. Charles L. Sommer of North Tonawanda and a brother Herman, of North Tonawanda.

Eliza Kathryn (Aunt Kit) Craft, 90, of Marion Center, Pa., died yesterday (Aug. 6, 1984) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in South Mahoney Township, Pa., she had lived in Ambrosia, Pa., and Marion Center, Pa., before coming to Niagara Falls last November. She was a member of the Marion Center Presbyterian Church and the Ambrosia House and Garden Club. She was the wife of the late Harry Craft and sister of the late Emma Mcintyre and the late Fibur Wadding. She is survived by two sons, Raymond Craft of Sanborn and Elgie Craft of Niagara Falls; a brother, Thomas Wadding of Home, Pa.; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Bowser Funeral Home, Plumville, Pa., with burial in Oakland Cemetery, IN, Pa. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave. and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Thursday at the Bowser Funeral Home Plumville. North Tonawanda, Feb 12. - Fred Kriedeman, 78, died today at his home, 292 Payne Ave. after a long illness. He was born in Germany, and had resided here for the last 50 years. He was a member of St Peter's American Lutheran Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles Gaylord and Miss Edna Kriedeman of this city. two sisters, Amelia Kriedeman and Mrs. August Neubauer of Niagara Falls, a brother Julius of Niagara Falls, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 pm from the Gaylord home, 228 Bryant St. The Rev Robert Hein will officiate. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park cemetery.

Born in the Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Schultz resided in the Town of Pendleton for 30 years. She was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. Surviving are her husband, Ernest Schultz; three brothers, Henry Krull, North Tonawanda, Chris Krull, Lockport; and Philip Krull, Clarence Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the John O. Roth Funeral Home, Tonawanda, by Rev. Luther Knauff. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.

WHEATFIELD - Albert N. Pfuhl 68, of 2134 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, died Saturday (Feb. 15, 1975) In Memorial Medical Center after a short illness.
He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield and had been employed as a production worker at the Carborundum Co. He had worked for many years on a farm.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude (Jagow) Pfuhl; a son, Herbert Pfuhl of Webster, N.Y.; a brother, Martin Pfohl of Sanborn; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Edna) Wienke of Sanborn; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Clifford Pfuhl.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's E. V. (sic) Lutheran Church. The Rev. Harold L. Baum will officiate. Burial will be In St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Rhoney Funeral Home Sanborn, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Monday.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church memorial fund, the family said.

PEKIN. Feb. 2 - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Werth. who died at the home of her son, Philip Werth. of the Lockport road, on Sunday, were held at the home of her son. Philip, on Tuesday. Mrs. Werth was born August 16, 1859. Besides her husband. William, she is survived by another son and one daughter, Paul Werth and Mr William Schultz, town of Pendleton; two step-sons and one stepdaughter, Benjamin Werth, town of Cambria; Edward Werth, town of Wheatfield, and Mrs. John Schraeder, Upper Mountain road, and also by 10 grandchildren. The Rev. Schmidt, pastor of St Andrews Lutheran church, had charge of the services at the home at 1:30 o'clock and at the church at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Schmidt and Miss Margaret Schraeder sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" at the house and 'For Me to Live Is Jesus" at the church. The pallbearers were Glen Hall, Edward Moje, George Wittkop, Lawrence Klinamitch. William Krull and Adolph Schraeder. Burial was in St. Johnsburg cemetery.

Airman's Body Awaited By Parents
WHEATFIELD - Parents of Airman 2nd Class Ronald Jendrian, 19, who was killed Thursday (Feb. 1, 1962) in an Oklahoma auto accident today were awaiting'information on return of their son's body. Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Jendrian were notified by telegram of their son's death shortly, before noon Thursday. A later telegram notified them that the body would be shipped here. A letter was to follow with time of arrival. Airman Jendrian was killed when he lost control of his car on Oklahoma highway No,. 44,, southwest of Lone Wolf, Okla. The car plunged 125 feet down.the side of a mountain. Airman Jendrian, whose home is at 7146 Schultz Road, was stationed at Altus Air Force Base, Altus, Okla. He attended Burgard Vocational School, Buffalo, and enlisted in the Air Force Dec. 13, 1960. He had been home on leave for Christmas. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tondwanda. In addition to his parents, surviving are two brothers, Specialist 4th Class Gerald Jendrian, with a radar squadron on Okinawa, and Richard Jendrian, at home; a sister, Mrs. Gerald W. Daniel, Tonawanda; and his grandfather, Fred Jendrian, Tonawanda. Funeral services will be arranged at the Roth Funeral Home, Tonawanda

Richard Hugo Ferchen. 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo C. Ferchen. of 1115 Haeberle avenue, who has been reported by the Navy department as missing in action.
Born in Sanborn. N. Y , the youth was a resident of that village until the time of his enlistment in the navy three years ago. Since the notice from the Navy department reported the youth as missing, several letters have been received from the radioman. His parents and other members of the family have hopes that he is still alive. He is a graduate of the LaSalle high school and is a member of the a capella choir of that school and of the choir at the First Methodist church prior to his enlistment. He is a radio mechanic, second class. The youth has two brothers. Walter, an air cadet at

NORTH TONAWANDA - Norman E. Koepsell, 43, of 16 15th Ave., died unexpectedly Monday (Feb. 26, 1968) at his home after suffering a heart attack. Firemen were called to the house and administered oxygen. He was pronounced dead by Coroner Oscar Bell. He was a lifelong resident here and was employed at the city water pumping station. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. LOCKPORT - A retired bank custodian, Herman F. Bugenhagen, 84, of 223 Waterman St., died Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 13, 1965) at his home. He had been ill one year. Born Jun 18, 1880 in Clarence Center, the son of Theodore and Louisa Brunning Bugenhagen, he has lived here 60 years. He was formerly employed at the united Board and Carton Co. here for 15 years and later worked as custodian
of the Lohrman Building for five years. He was employed as custodian at the Niagara County bank office of the Marine Trust Co. of Western New York for 30 years before his retirement 10 years ago. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Lockport. He and his wife, Lydia Dewitz Bugenhagen, were married Nov. 29, 1922, in Buffalo. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Howard Wendel and Mrs. Harold Conlin, both of Lockport, and Mrs. Arnold Luskey. Middleport; two sons, Emory F. and Raymond H. Bugenhagen,

Sanborn. N.Y., Jan. 20.- On Wednesday afternoon was found the body of Wm. A. Hasley at his home in Walmore. From all appearance Mr. Hasley had been dead since last Saturday. The neighbors failing to see him about broke into his home and found his body on the bed. He was fully dressed and it is supposed that he died from asphyxiation. The Funeral was held from the home of Philip Haseley on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He is survived by three sons.

Mother Dies Soon After Birth of Son

A mother died Saturday less than five hours after the death of her one-day-old son at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Ninfa Shomers, 42, of 1029 92nd St., died at 3:45 p.m. (Jan. 24, 1959) apparently of a heart attack. The infant was born at 12:23 a.m. Friday and died unexpectedly at 10:55 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 24, 1959). Surviving are Mrs. Shomer's husband, John P. Shomers, a city fireman; three children, Janet Mae Shomers, 16 Yvonne Carol Shomers, 14, and John P. Shomers Jr., 8; and her father, Sebastian Moceri, Niagara Falls. Services will be arranged later today. They will be held at the Magaddino Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Jerald E. " Jerry " Cuddahee, 74, of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY, died peacefully Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and children, while under Niagara Hospice Care.
He was born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on May 20, 1932, the son of Jeremiah and Grace [ Warner ] Cuddahee, where he attended local schools. Jerry lived with his older brother Dan and his wife Julia for 12 years, after his parents had died, and considered his cousins as his family. He was employed as a printer at the Niagara Falls Gazette during high school and following his graduation for two years.
He was inducted into the United States Army on November 17, 1952 and served during the Korean War prior to being honorably discharged on September 23, 1954. Following his discharge, Jerry returned to the Niagara Falls Gazette where he worked for a total of 43 years, prior to his retirement in 1993. He was a member of St. Peter's Church in Lewiston, Niagara County, NY and the International Typographical Union.
He enjoyed playing softball, gardening and spending time with his family, grandchildren and many friends.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joanne [ Scanlan ] Cuddahee; two sons, Thomas [ Annette ] Cuddahee, of Town of Niagara; Patrick [ Karen ] Cuddahee, of Niagara Falls; two daughters, Sharon Sciarrino, of Niagara Falls; Colleen [ Michael ] Penzotti, of Lewiston; a sister, Catherine [ James ] Miklitch, of Niagara Falls; sister-in-laws, Julia Cuddahee and Dorothy Cuddahee; 6 grandchildren, many nieces nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Dan, Lawrence and Bill Cuddahee, Norma Atkinson; Agnes Riley and Thelma Manaressi.
The family will be present 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM Friday at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, LEWISTON, Cayuga and So. Ninth Streets. GASPORT-Clarence L. Huth, 47, of 8824 Haseley Road, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Friday (July 14, 1967) in Lockport. He was stricken while in his car in a parking lot. He was born April 7, 1920 in the Town of Royalton. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army in Europe for three years. He was employed by the New York State Electric and Gas Co. in Lockport for the last 14 years and was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville. Surviving are two sons, Arnold and Albert Huth, both at home; his mother,' Mrs. Edith Huth of Gasport; a brother, Carl Huth of Akron; a sister, Mrs. Howard Haseley of Gasport, and several nieces and nephews. NORTH TONAWANDA, July 26. - John Doebler, 46 years old, 77 Felton street, died yesterday at the DeGraff Memorial hospital. He was Injured on Monday of last week while working at the plant of the Buffalo Bolt company. His injuries were not regarded as serious. Plans were made yesterday to remove him to his home today. His condition took a sudden change for the worse this morning. The unexpected death of her husband prostrated Mrs. Doebler and her condition became so grave that several physicians were called in during the day. besides the wife, a son Alvin survives. Mr. Doebler was a member of Gratwick Hose and St Marks Evangelical Lutheran church. he was well known in the Gratwick section of North Tonawanda where he lived many years.

NORTH TONAWANDA - A happy vacation ended in tragedy last night for Howard Kohler, St., 42, and his family, of 533 East Thompson street, when Mr. Kohler was drowned while fishing off Morgan's Point, Lake Erie, Ont. The body has not been recovered. Mr. Kohler and his wife, Mrs. Lillian Kohler, and two sons, Howard Kohler, Jr., and Richard Kohler, were on vacation with Harvey Minor. 24 Felton street, Tonawanda, at the latter's cottage at Morgan's Point. Mr. Kohler, his son, Howard, Jr., and Mr. Minor were fishing about half a mile off Morgan's Point at 7:30 o'clock last evening. The sea was rough and a heavy wave capsized the boat. Kohler went under but Minor and the boy managed to get hold of him and held him up for some time. Finally he was torn from their grasp by a wave and disappeared from sight. They yelled for help but it was not until 10 o'clock last night that their plight was discovered by persons on shore. Another cottager, whose identity was not learned, put out in a rowboat and brought the exhausted man and boy to shore. They said that they could not have hung on more than a few more minutes. Mr. Kohler was employed as a foreman in the tube department of the Spauldlng Fibre company plant at Tonawanda, where he had worked for the last 22 years. His wife and two sons survive.

Hung Self in Barn While Family Was Away From Home - Is Found by Young Son

Sanborn. June 10. - Hanging to a beam in his barn, by a piece of clothesline, the body of William Beutel was found about two o'clock yesterday afternoon by the dead man's youngest son, and when the nearest neighbors - summoned by tho terrified youngster - had arrived, the body was still warm, but all attempts at resuscitation failed. Beutel was about 45 years old and resided with his family, on the Lockport road, near Walmore. He had been confined in the Buffalo State hospital on two different occasions, but since his return home two years ago, his mental condition has appeared normal. Mrs. Beutel and her oldest son were in Niagara Falls when the deed was committed. Deceased is survived by his wife and four sons - Edward, Rudolph, Walter, and Erwin - all of the town of Lewiston; one brother, John Beutel of Cambria, and one sister, Mrs. William Wendt of Sanborn, He was a lifelong resident of this township and was a member of the Walmore Lutheran church.

Walck, 3 daughters, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Wendt of Niagara Falls, Mrs. Walter (Martha) Winnes, Chambersburg, Pa., Amanda Walck, Sioux City, Iowa, one son, the Rev. Alfred Walck Jr., Madang, Territory of New Guinea, 3 sisters, Mrs. Thekla DeVantier, and the Misses Elsie and Helen Mlllevllle, all of Niagara Falls. 3 brothers Carl Mlllevllle of Niagara Falls, Rev. Edgar Mlllevllle, of Ceaderburg, WI, and Martin Mlllevllle of Lewiston, N. Y., also survived by 11 grandchildren. Friends may call at
the Pike & Jones Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Rd., Sanborn, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore, where services will be held at 2 P.m. the Rev. Donald G. Rehkopf
