She carried an arm bouquet of Briar Cliff roses, pink larkspur and baby's breath, tied with white tulle. Miss Katherlne Corp, maid of honor, was gowned in pastel green moussellne de sole with yellow accessories Her arm bouquet was of Johanna Hill roses, yellow snapdragons, marigold and baby's breath, tied with yellow tulle. The groom was attended by Ralph Hager. Mrs. Florence Smith played the wedding march and preceding the ceremony, Miss Alice Davidson sang, "I Love Vou Truly" and "Oh, Promise Me" Mrs. Williamson, mother of the bride, was attired tn a navy blue eJiscmbie with powder blue accessories with which she wore a corsage of sweet peas and roses. Born on September 1, 1922, in Hannibal, MO, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Josephine (Walley) McGee, Sr.Mrs. Hewitt came to Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY in 1942. On January 1, 1943, Lola married Alfred L. Al Hewitt in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. She was a longtime member of the former First Christian Church and currently a member of The Church at Shawnee Landing. For over 30 years, Mrs. Hewitt was a volunteer for the American Red Cross at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Lola and her husband, Al, also belonged to the Niagara Frontier Country Club. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, square dancing, baking, quilting and sewing.In addition to her loving husband of 66 years, Mrs. Hewitt is also survived by four daughters, Barbara (Peter) Baker of Ransomville, NY, Linda (Campbell) (Greg) Mikolajek of North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY, Marjorie (Larry) Minor of Holly Springs, NC and Bonnie (Jim) Sands of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one expecting great-grandchild. 13966 | Niagara Gazette - 1/31/1930 Mr. and Mrs. Henry Strassburg celebrated their golden wedding at the parish house of the Zlon Lutheran church. La Salle. About 100 persons, members of the congregation and friends, of the couple-partook of a dinner which was the feature of the celebration. The interior of the parish house was attractively decorated in white and gold and yellow roses were on the tables. Mr. and Mrs. Strassburg were married on January 22, 1880, in Bergholtz. by the Rev. Mr. Welnbach, and resided for a short time on the Niagara Falls boulevard. For the last 35 years they have lived in the La Salle section. Their descendants number six sons, three daughters, 27 grandchildren and one great grandchild. At the dinner guests were present from this city, Lcckport, the Tonawandas, Town Line and Buffalo. The Rev. Mr. Hoyer briefly addressed, the assemblage after which a hymn was sung. The church was filled with members of the family and friends and pupils of the high school department of St. Mary's parochial school. The solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Cornelius F. Kllleen, pastor of St. Mary's, assisted by the Rev. Francis Ryan, assistant at St. Mary's, and the Rev. David Cahill, Buffalo. In the sanctuary were the Rev. John Peel, Buffalo, and the Rev. George A. O'Neill, pastor of St. Joseph's church, this city. An unusually large number of beautiful floral tributes attested the sympathy and respect of many friends. The bearers were H. A. Hughes, D. A. McDonald, Otis Smith, W. H. Jewell. J. J. Sullivan. F. H. Haseley. Charles BOwen and William Murphy. The Rev. Fathers Killeen. His reputation as an authority in the paper-making industry was nationwide He was an inventor of a number of modern devices for the manufacture of paper and a number of manufacturing methods introduced by him are now in universal use. 13976 | Niagara Gazette - 1/31/1962 The seven-month-old son of a Niagara Falls Air Force man recently transferred to Alaska, d i e d unexpectedly this morning (Jan. 31, 1962) at the home of his grandparents in the Town of Cambria. He was Francis Galleciez III, son of Airman second class Francis Galleciez Jr. and Mrs. Galleciez. The. child died at the home of the father's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Galleciez, 4825 Lewiston-Cambria Town Line Road, where he had been living for the last few weeks. Airman Galleciez, who had been stationed at Condon, Ore., with the 636th Radron unit for the last 2-1/2 years, was transferred to Anchorage, Alaska, slightly more than two weeks ago. Before leaving, he had returned his wife and son to his grandparents' home. The Red Cross was in process of notifying the father of the child's death today. Coroner F. Eugene Ingram listed pneumonia as the cause of death. Survivors include, in addition to the parents and grandparents. (UPD- A Medina man, described by police as "a midget," walked into a police station Thursday night and told police he had strangled the woman he had been married to less than a year. Terrence B. Kenney II, 34, was charged with murder, police said. The body of his wife, Joyce, also 34, was found in the couple's car in a parking lot. The couple, who police said were "only three to four feet high," had been married last Fe. 24 in Medina, in Orleans County. Police said Kenney was held in Niagara County Jail pending arraignment. An autopsy was ordered. The police station is only a block from the Walnut Street parking lot where the body was found, authorities said. Kenney had previously been employed as an election super- visor in the county clerk's office in Trenton, N.J. His wife was the former Joyce Baehr of Medina. She was born in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY on November 28, 1918, the youngest daughter of the late John and Josephine (Cacamise) Pulvino. She was a graduate of St. Mary of the Cataract High School. During World War II she worked for Bell Aircraft as an inspector on fighter planes. After the War, she worked for Moore Business Forms for many years. She is survived by brothers, Russell (Gloria) of Palm Coast, FL, John (Josephine) of Lakewood, CA; sister-in law, Rita Pulvino and numerous nephews and nieces; great-nephews and nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Thomas J. Pulvino; sisters, Clara Thorn and Marie Scott. Suzanne had worked at Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston as a Nurse’s Aide and had also worked as a private Home Aide. Most recently, Suzanne had worked in the hospitality industry. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls. Suzanne enjoyed music, reading, animals, and gardening but most of all she loved being with her two sons and family.She is survived by her sons, Tyler R. and Joshua S. Masterman, 55 years old, 2 Hoyt street, Buffalo, well-known in this city, where he spent the greater part of his life, was fatally injured yes- terday In Troy, N. Y., when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver In one of the mam streets of that city. He was taken to a hospital and died shortly after being admitted. Mr. Masterman was born In England and came to Niagara Falls when a child. He had been an employee of the New York Central here, In Tonawanda and Buffalo lor the past 39 years, starting as a messenger in the Suspension Bridge station. He was freight agent successively at the Echota station, the Fans street station and Suspension Bridge station, going to Buffalo 1924. He was then freight agent in Tonawanda and later tn Black Rock, recently being appointed freight agent of the Adams street yards, Buffalo. He had been In Troy only a few days on business when he was killed. The deceased had a wide circle of friends fn Niagara Falls and was very popular among those who worked under him to the employ of the railroad company. He is survived by bis wife, Mrs. Nellie Masterman. and two children, Donald and Dorothy Masterman, of Buffalo. One sister, Ethel, of Los Angeles, Calif., and three brothers. Michael W. Cassell of St. Peter's Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. 14000 | Niagara Gazette - 1/5/1942 The marriage of Mtss Lola May McGee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse U. McGee. of Elmwood avenue, and Mr. Alfred L. Hewitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Hewitt, of Mountain road, Lewlston, N. Y , was solemnized New Year's evening at 8 o'clock at the Church of Christ, Disciples, with the Rev. William F. Saye officiating. The musical setting for ceremony was furnished by Mrs. Grace Y. Banks at t h e organ and Mrs. Gladys Prindle, soloist, while palms, beautiful tall groupings of white gladioli with laurel formed the color note for the decorations In the church In candlelight. The double ring ceremony used. White satin was worn by bride, the bodice designed with lace yoke, fitted sleeves, with fullness at the shoukler. Her fingertip veil of French tulle fell from a crown of tiny white pom poms. Her bouquet was of white pom poms, white rases and servla, with a shower of tiny ribbons. Mrs. Don Frisbie, matron of honor, wore a gown of pale apple green taffeta with full net skirt, the bodice of taffeta. She wore a floral headdress of pale green pom poms with bouquet to match. Miss Bonnie MacGillivrary and Miss Ruth Schul. bridesmaids, wore gowns with taffeta bodice and full net skirt, the former in pale pink He and the latter in gold shade. Sequins trimmed the fitted bodices. Each wore a floral coronet of matching pom pom.s and carried a bouquet of pom poms of the shade. Mr. Gerald Hewitt, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man, with Mr. Welford McGee. brother of t he bride, and Mr. Donald Hewitt. brother of the bridegroom, as the ushers. The mother of fhe bride wore a gown of navy blue romalne crepe and the mother of the bridegroom wore a gown of light brown Immediately after the wedding there was a lovely reception, held in the church parlors, where attractive decorations of ferns and white gladioli were used. The bride's cake and the bridegroom's cake centered the bride's table. Miss Patricia Garrow provided the musi- cal setting for the reception with selections on the piano. Mr. and Mrs. Hewitt left for a trip to Washington, D. C.., the bride traveling in a suit of powder blue with wine accessories.
