Barbara was a Nurse’s Aide at DeGraff Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, and a member of North Presbyterian Church. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Lane R. Janowsky, and former husband Richard Vanderlip, sister Carmen Monette, and brother James Hudnut.

Mrs. Norgren was born in Buffalo, New York on April 13, 1935, to Albert and Mildred (Davis) Lemon. Barbara was a graduate of Kenmore West High School and a proud homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for 58 years. Barbara enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a member of the Amherst Museum Quilters Guild, receiving a Volunteer Recognition Award in 1998. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, bowling, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, James Norgren, and her brother Ronald (Margaret) Lemon; loving mother of Jeffrey (Roxanne) Norgren; Jill (Dan) Bentley, and Jennifer (Roy) Woods; grandmother of Amie (Mike) Dunham, Joseph Bentley, Bridgett Norgren, Jeremy Norgren, Alicia (David) Oddi, Emilee Norgren, and Alex Woods; great-grandmother of Ava, Michael, Jacob Dunham and Caleb Oddi; also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Bonnie Budnik (née Nobles), 71, of North Tonawanda, passed away on Monday August 5, 2024, at home, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on December 24, 1952, in Gowanda, NY, she later moved to North Tonawanda, where she graduated from North Tonawanda High School and Bryant and Stratton College. She became a cherished member of her community and a beloved figure in her family.
Bonnie dedicated over three decades of her life working at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Center, where her kind and caring nature left a lasting impact on both colleagues and patients.
She was a devoted, loving and kind-hearted individual who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Often putting others ahead of herself, she enjoyed spending time together with family and friends, as well as her beloved children and grandchildren. In her free time, Bonnie enjoyed walking, cycling, and traveling, often accompanied by her husband, Raymond. She was also deeply involved in gardening; splitting her time between her own garden as well as the Imagine Community Garden of North Tonawanda.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Raymond Budnik; sons, Bryan (Cori) Budnik and Richard (Amanda) Budnik; grandchildren, London (Benjamin) Streebel, Brenden Budnik, Cailin Budnik; and siblings, Ronald (Patricia) Nobles, Colleen Nobles, and Janet (Robert) Beach. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lorenzo "Larry" Nobles and Jane (Michael) Delaney; and parents Austin and Marion (Stearns) Nobles. Diana dedicated 33 years of her life to the residents of Niagara County helping the families receive the home health care they much needed. In her spare time she practiced the power of gratitude, enjoyed the sun, camping, and going to the casino.
Diana is survived by her children Michelle Rinallo, Nicole (Patrick) Ranney, and Amber Jufer, her sisters Deborah (Ernie Sidote) Curry, and Dawn (Don) Ingersoll, grandmother of Ericka (Justin), Ricky, Dominic, Liliana, Alyssa, and Koda, great grandmother of JJ, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Diane L. Biniecki (nee May), 77, the beloved wife of the late James Biniecki, of Amherst, NY passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 23, 1944 she was the daughter of the late William May, the late Dorothy Woolcutt and step-daughter of Charles Woolcutt. Diane graduated from Lewiston Porter High School and attended Niagara University.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons, Mike, Chris and Steven Nowak. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed dancing.

She is survived by daughters Penny (Ron) Nowak, Sue (Steve) Moretti, brother Darry (Pam) May and brother Ken (Ruthie) Woolcutt. She is also survived by numerous cousins and family members.

Diane was a Teacher's Aide at Niagara Orleans Boces, a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, member of John Berg Memorial American Legion Post #976 nicknamed the Crosby Legion. In her spare time she loved to travel, going to the casino, spending time with family and friends, Crosby Camp, she loved being a grandmother, and enjoyed her close group of friends.

Before retiring in 2003, Dorie travelled by bus each day, for over 30 years, to her job as a Purchasing Agent for Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. Prior to that she worked in the main office of NT High School where she monitored the shenanigans of many teens that would become life-long friends.
Doris was kind-hearted and a friend to all; her door was always open. As a member of the Dom Polski Social Club, she enjoyed many nights of laughter, shuffleboard, dancing & music. She served on their Board of Directors and volunteered many hours assisting charitable events and weekly Bingo games. Dorie backed the Buffalo Bills & was able to rouse the entire room with her unique chant. She was proud of her Irish heritage, was always up for an adventure, a campfire, a party, and a few beers. She listened and advised without judgement and always said to “keep the faith”. Dorie will be greatly missed.

Of North Tonawanda, NY, entered into rest, after an active life, on April 17, 2021 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Dianne Ramsay (nee Lebrenz) for 68 years; Loving father of Amy (Anthony) Ramsay, Susan (Daniel) Ramsay, Jack (Kathy) Ramsay, and the late Matthew (Rosemarie) Ramsay. He was also blessed with five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A lifetime native of North Tonawanda, Mr. Ramsay was the son of William L. (Pop) and Mildred Ramsay (nee Zimmerman). He was the brother of Mary (Kenneth) Hering, William (Geraldine) Ramsay, Vera (James) Oldenburg and Elizabeth (John) Wactawski.
Mr. Ramsay was a WWII Navy veteran, who was stationed in China and helped to protect the country from Japanese and the Chinese communist invasions. At the end of the war, Mr. Ramsay attended Buffalo State College on the GI Bill. He captained the Bengals basketball team and earned a doctorate in Art Education. He was nationally recognized as a Teacher of Excellence for bringing the art experience to his students through unique projects which included science , nature and the outdoors.
Mr. Ramsay also brought innovation and success to the gridiron, having coached varsity football for Tonawanda, Bishop Gibbons and North Tonawanda High Schools. His dedication to the youth of the Twin Cities spanned three decades and his legacy was honored in September 2016 by the North Tonawanda Football Hall of Fame.
A member of the First United Methodist Church, Mr. Ramsay treasured a life that included his family, the arts, sports, nature and the contemplation of new ideas. Nothing thrilled him more than being the first youth to jump into the Erie Canal, going fishing on the Niagara River, perfecting his study of the human figure in pen and ink, golfing with his buddies from The Third Warders Social Club or cooking up Chuck’s Chowder (a secret recipe, of course!) for the annual family Fourth of July picnic.

He coached hockey at LaSalle Senior High School, and coached Babe Ruth Baseball. Frank was an avid Bills, Sabres, and Yankees Fan. In 2012 he got the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the Yankee Stadium. He also enjoyed golfing and going on the yearly golf trips. Most of all Frank loved to spend his time with his friends and family. Frank was a longtime member of Third Warders Social Club, where he participated on many of the sports teams over the years, and was a member of the GAC Club. Frank always looked forward to his weekly get-togethers with the guys.
Frank was a loving father, brother, uncle, and devoted friend. Frank leaves behind his children Erik (Jamie), Joanie (Ernie), Ryan, and their mother Lynda (Tussing) Sumi. Devoted grandfather of Ava, Dylan, and Riley, brother of Wayne (Maureen) Sumi, and Joan Wisniewski, also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Gary R. Rice, 78, of North Tonawanda, went to his heavenly home on Monday, March 21, 2022, surrounded by family and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Gary was born in North Tonawanda on January 25, 1944 to Sidney and Velma (Summers) Rice. Gary retired from Durez Corporation in 1996, and was a member of Bible Presbyterian Church, where he was an usher, and Awana leader. He enjoyed volunteering at North Tonawanda Inter-Church Food Pantry for 20 years. Gary was predeceased by his brothers Robert (Carol) and James Rice.
Gary is survived by his wife of 57 years Susan M. (Holtz) Rice, sons Jeffrey (Sandra) and Rick (Stacy) Rice, brother Douglas (Jackie) Rice, and sister in law Dolly Rice. Papa to Zachary and Emma Rice, he also has several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 1 P.M. at Bible Presbyterian Church, 1650 Love Rd, Grand Island, NY 14072. Interment will be held privately at Elmlawn Cemetery. Gene Lewis Roberts 63, of North Tonawanda, Sunday (October 23, 2022) . Gene was born in the Town of Tonawanda to Wilford Lewis and Margaret (Williams) Roberts. Gene worked as a Machinist for Shannon Global Energy Solutions, he was an avid Buffalo Bills, Sabres Fan, and a New York Yankees fan. In his spare time he was a avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Gene was predeceased by his parents.
Gene is survived by his children Zachary G. Roberts, step son Michael (Katie) Burnham, and Amanda (David) Wolfe, long time companion of Dawn Burnham, grandfather of Taylor James Klute, Richard, Giovanni, Allyson, and Terra Wolfe, also survived by many friends and other relatives.

1743 Obituary for Genevieve DePaolo
Genevieve ‘Genny’ DePaolo of North Tonawanda passed away peacefully on November 4, 2023. Genny was born February 6, 1931 in Johnstown, PA to the late Helen and Roy Hawks and the sister of the late Anson Thomas Hawks.

Genevieve worked as an airline stewardess for Capital Airlines in the 1950’s until she met Robert ‘Bobby’ DePaolo (deceased) of North Tonawanda, NY, a returning Marine from the Korean Conflict. After marriage, Genevieve spent many years volunteering for the Catholic Church, NT School system, Niagara County Election services and the former Melody Fair. As her children grew, Genevieve decided to attend NCCC where she achieved high honors and graduated with two Associate degrees.

After the death of her husband in 1978 , Genny returned to the work force in temp positions for many companies until she found her place at the North Tonawanda Housing Authority. In this position, Genevieve was very passionate and found that working to assist others who were struggling gave her a sense of purpose. Genny managed to work full-time, as well as being a religious education teacher for both children and adults at St. Christopher and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

It was with great sorrow that Genevieve was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Denice DePaolo-Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn DePaolo, her sons, Robert and Scott (Jacqueline), and daughter-in-law Beth DePaolo. Genny was sadly predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Jacqueline, who passed away in May of this year. She was a loving and passionate grandmother to Erin Smith, Ryan, Mitchell and Elena DePaolo, Nicholas DePaolo, Michael and Blake Fitzgerald. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Genevieve will be remembered by most for her spirited debates, supporting and encouraging others, her strong willed personality and radiant smile.

All are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, November 25, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Christopher's R.C. Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda NY 14150. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice in Genny's memory.

Geraldine L "Gerry" Heller, 100, formerly of North Tonawanda, New York, and Ransomville, New York, Friday (March 7, 2025) in Beechwood Nursing Home. Gerry was born in North Tonawanda, New York on September 21, 1924 to Milton and Winifred (Kohler) Karre. Gerry was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing pinochle, doing crafts, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, and gardening. Gerry was predeceased by her husband W. James Heller, sister and brother Anita (Albert) Miramon, and LaVerne Karre.

Gerry is survived by her children Jeffrey (Sharon Barrett) Heller, Cindy (the late Dennis) Gaston, and Karen Toye, grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 9, and one great great grandchild, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Gloria Diane (Davignon) Hunter, 75 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away unexpectedly in her home on September 10, 2024 ending her long struggle with FTD.
Gloria enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband and family. She was the perfect co-pilot on long road trips to many various zoos, aquariums, museums and of course, Vermont to see her chosen son Larry Davignon. Her love for babies and children made her the perfect sitter if you ever needed a hand with your kids. She was devoted to her grandchildren and played a pivotal part in their lives and upbringing.
Beloved wife of Clarence William Hunter Jr. formerly known as Junior, renamed “Bill” by Gloria, the love of his life. They were married for 55 years. Mother of Diane M. (Stephen) Dietrich and William D. (Robyn) Hunter Devoted grandmother of Kenneth W. (Sara Campana) Dietrich, Kelsey L. Dietrich and Stephen H. Dietrich. Sister of Gary (Sharon) Davignon. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was born May 15th 1949 in North Tonawanda; the daughter of Gerard and Alice (Strasser) Davignon.
She was predeceased by her siblings Ross, Paul, Joel, Sylvia, Cynthia and Suzette.

Gregory J. Lloyd of Town of Wheatfield passed away on Friday, May 19th, 2023 after a long battle with lung issues. He was 75 years old. He was born on December 6th, 1947 to Russell and Ann (Fundak) Lloyd in Philipsburg PA and was the oldest of 9 children.
Greg was a deputy in the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department for 22 years and retired in 1997. He was also the owner and president of G.J. Lloyd Enterprises, Inc., which is a trucking company in the Town of Wheatfield.
He was an avid weight lifter for many years in the past and a race car enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time at the shop and being in Florida. He was a great mentor to many that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda (Brzezinski) Lloyd; Children Gina (Michael) Walck and Gregory (Margaret) Lloyd II; Grandchildren Holly (William) Cleary, Gregory Stiver-Lloyd (Emma Perez), Briana (Joseph) Gravino, and Ryan Lloyd (Jessica Menshon); Great-Grandchildren Madison Cleary and Benjamin Gravino. He was preceded in death by great grandson, Charles Gravino.
Per Greg’s wishes there will be no formal services. If interested, donations in his honor to Niagara Hospice in Lockport would be greatly appreciated for the supportive services given to his family.

Gregory was born in North Tonawanda on July 12, 1967 to Gloria (Phillips) Myers and William Myers. Greg was a Senior Wastewater mechanic for the city of North Tonawanda, member of Third Warder's Social Club, avid Cornhole player, member of the CSEA union, Nascar fan, sports fan, and die hard Ford guy. In his spare time he enjoyed sitting in the garage with his friends having that Budlight listening to Genesis. 
Greg was survived by his wife of 32 years Maria A. (Miranto) Myers, children Amanda (Alex) Tsarev, Matthew (Cassondra) Myers, and Alyssa (Ryan) Farrell, parents Gloria Myers and William Myers, brother and sister Todd (Carrie) Myers, and Christine Myers, proud Papa of Peyton, Camryn, Matthew Jr.; Frankie, and Vinny, also surviving are many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Son of the late Frank and Mary DeBoth; husband of the late Patricia DeBoth; dearest father of Kevin DeBoth and Suzette (James) Vlaovich; loving grandfather of Michael, Korey and Haley; great grandfather of Skylar; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Mr. DeBoth was a proud veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He had worked at Bethlehem Steel for many years. Mr. DeBoth was actively working as a Real Estate Broker with the Howard Hanna Company.
Private Services are being held at the convenience of the family. Interment Elmlawn Cemetery.

Henry J. Lorenc, 92, passed away on May 22, 2024, in his hometown of North Tonawanda, NY.
In 1961, Henry married his beloved wife, Mary Ann, in a beautiful ceremony at their hometown church. Together they raised four children: Mark, Tom, Lynn and Michelle. Henry was a devoted grandfather to Elizabeth, Michael, Bridget, Joseph, Margaret, Jacob, Allison, Benjamin and Katherine. He is survived by many loved nieces and nephews.
The wake will be held on May 24 from 4pm - 7pm at Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, NT. Henry will be laid to rest with military honors at Mount Olivet Cemetery on May 25 at 11am, please assemble at the cemetery office parking lot, 4000 Elmwood Avenue. There will be a reception immediately following at Banchetti by Rizzo’s, 550 N. French Rd.
