Attending Physicians Say There is No
Chance for the Woman to Live-
Family Troubles Given as Motive
Drank Acid in Husband's Presence

Mrs. Adelaide Spark, thirty-two
years old, wife of Clayton Spark of
No. 219 Main street, is dying at the
DeGraff Memorial hospital in Tre-
mont street this afternoon from the
effects of a fose of carbolic acid
which she took while in the fit of
despondency at her home this morn-
ing. Family troubles are given as
the reason for the woman's act. Every
effort is being made at the hospital
to save the woman's life but the at-
tending physicians say she cannot
five.
It is said that Spark, who makes his
home in Sandusky, O., was try-
ing to get Mrs. Spark to return to
that city with him and it was while the
couple were having words, that Mrs.
Spark drank about an ounce of pure
carbolic acid. Sparks called Dr. Wil-
cox and every effort was made to
save the woman. Hamp's auto-ambul-
ance was called and she was removed
to the Degraff hospital. Dr. F. W.
Bentley assisted Dr. Wilcox.
Mrs. Spark was formerly Mrs.
Dellia Zaggel, wife of George Zaggel
oi Tremont street. The couple separated
about five years ago, and a little
n.ore than a year ago, they were divorced.
She was married about a
ago to Mr. Spark and moved to
Sandusky, O., where the couple lived
for some time. A few months ago,
according to rumors, the Sparks part-
ed and Mrs. Spark returned to th e
home of her mother at No. 219 Main
street, where she had since lived. Mr.
Spark came here about ten days ago
and had been living at the same place.
Mrs. Spark has one daughter,
Estella Zaggel, thirteen years old.
The child has been living with her
grandmother on Main street.
