Her gown of Chantilly lace and taffeta was styled with a Sabrina neckline and lantern sleeves. The sides and back of the bouffant skirt were accented in panels of lace termin- ating in a chapel train. Lace mitts matched her mantilla and she carried a circular bouquet of white roses, orchids and stephano- tis arranged with a cascade of roses, dracena leaves and varie- gated ivy. Orchid dotted Swiss ballerina length gowns were worn by the attendants, Misss Gail Blair, maid of honor for her sister, wore a gown designed with puff sleeves, a ruffle at the scoop neckline and a flounce accenting the himline of the circular skirt. The bridesmaids, the Misses Sharon hare, Karen Essenburg, the bride's cousin, and Norma Pullo, the bridegroom's sister, wore identical costumes and white chiffon hats and shoes. All carried circlet bouquets arranged with pink rose sprays and white French carnations and ivy. Micharl Pullo was best man for his brother, Dennis Carr, Vincent Crossley, Niagara Falls, the bridegroom's cousin, and Robert Pullo, his uncle, were ushers. Mrs. Blair wore a champagne color Chantilly lace sheath dress and taffeta overskirt. The bodice was designed with a scoop neck- line and scalloped bracelet length sleeves. She chose light blue ac- cessories. Mrs. Pullo's navy lace dress over kelly green satin was made with a fitted bodice and full skirt. She wore navy accessories. Both mothers complemented their cos- tumes with cymbidium orchid cor- sages. Attending the wedding were the bride's grandmother and grand- father, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Blair; the bridegroom's grandpar- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ferloin Sr. and Mrs. Rose Pullo; and his great grandfather, M. Maione. White glamellia corsages were worn by their grandmothers. An open house party for 60 guests was given immediately af- ter the ceremony in the bride's home. A pink and white theme decorated the american Legion Hall for an evening reception for 550 guests. A four tiered cake in pink and white decorated with fern centered the table. Dolls flanking the cake, dressed in the orchid colors of the attendants, were made by the bride. Guests attended from New York City, Syracuse, Lewiston and Rome. For going away, the bride chose a beige suit, bllue accessories and a cymbidium orchid corsage. The couple traveled to the Pocono Mountains and will visit New York City before returning Sept. 8 to make their home in 367 Broad St. Hostesses at pre-nuptial parties for the bride included the brides- maids, Mrs. Rose Padwa, and Mrs. Wilbert Brenon. 20715 | North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 4/30/1945 John H. Bollier, 77, a prom- nent resident of North Tonawanda for 55 years, died yesterday morning at his home, 34 Felton street. Mr. Bollier had been in failing health for the past year but it was only during the last month that his condition became serious. Born in the LaSalle section of Niagara Falls, Mr. Bollier attained prominence by b e i ng named highway commissioner of the Falls to fill the vacancy caused by the death of his father John Jacob Bollier, a leading citizen of that city for many years. The office was an elective one and Mr. Bollier was elected to the position at the election following his appointment. At the expiration of his term as highway commissioner, Mr Bollier took up his residence, 55 years ago, in the house where He died yesterday. He operated a shoe store in the Gratwick section of North Tonawanda for many years. From the time he located in that section of North Tonawanda, Mr. Bollier took an active interest in civie affairs and was a leader in securing un- Continued from page 1 provements for that part of the city. A leader in the Democratic ranks, he served as chairman of the party's city committee for a number of years. He also served ten years as supervisor from the old Third Ward. When Charles F. Foley was elected sheriff of Niagara county on the Democra- tic ticket, Mr. Bollier was ap- pointed undersheriff. Mr. Foley resigned the office of sheriff and Mr. Bollier was elevated to the position made vacant by the former's resignation. Mr. Bollier then served as undresheriff during the term of Dennis Daley, who was next elected to the office of sheriff. In co-operation with the late Charles Stoll and the late Ed- ward Mye, Mr. Bollier organized the Third Presbyterian church on Felton street. His wife also became a charter member of the church. For 37 years he was a trustee of the church. Mr. Bollier was also a charter member of the Gratwick Hose company. He was one of the active promoters of the firemen's organization. He is survived by his wife, Anna M.; two sons, Harold E. Bollier, North Tonawanda postmaster; Chester A. Bollier, supervisor of physical education in the Kenmore high school; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Jedele of North Tonawanda; four sisters, Mrs. Rosa E. Parkes of North Tonawanda, Mrs. L o u i s a B. Reister and Mrs. August Kropf of Tonawanda and Mrs. Clara Ward of Buffalo, and six grandchildren, Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. from the' residence and at 2:30 p. m. from the Third Presbyterian church. Fusco of North Tonawanda, a 48- year-old highly-respected criminal investigator for the Niagara County Sheriff's Department. Investigator Fusco, a 15-year veteran of the department, died early yesterday afternoon at DeGraff Memorial Hospital shortly after being stricken with an apparent heart attack at Vandervoort and Ganson Streets n North Tonawanda at about noon. Firemen and police administered first aid at the scene. Investigator Fusco was a lifelong resident of North ronawanda and was active in Knights of Columbus Council 2535 and the Renaissance Club. He was described as one of the Sheriff's Department's best Investigators by Dean J. Gavin, lead of the criminal unit. . An investigator for nine years he was credited with being instrumental in solving some of the major crimes in the county, including a number of burglaries and a murder in Youngstown. Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Jane Benthin; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Kenney of North Tonawanda, and Roberta and Jacquelyn Fusco, both at home; one son, S. She had been in failing health for some time Mrs. Hardleben was a life-long resident of North Tonawanda and a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church.
