The bride's finger tip veil of illusion was held by a white beaded coronet. Her only ornament was a rhmestone necklace, a gift from the groom. She carried a white shower bouquet of white roses, pom poms, and baby breath. The bride's sister, Mrs. Clark Schoonover, matron of honor, wore a golden yellow taffeta gown which was fashioned after the bride's gown. Her colonial bouquet was of pink rose buds, white gladiolus pom poms, and baby breath. The bridesmaids, Miss Bonnie Smith, cousin of the bride, and .Miss Jean Gebhardt, the bride's sister, were attired in aqua taffeta gowns. They carried colonial bouquets of yellow rose buds, yellow pom poms, and copper colored dahlias. The attendants wore headpieces of ostrich tips and elbowlength gauntlets to match their gowns. Single strands of peails completed their costumes. The bridegroom was attended by his brothers James, as best man; Reginald and Robert as ushers. The mother of the bride wore a gray afternoon dress with gray and black accessories, and a mixed coinage. The mother of the groom was attired in a brown suit with pink and brown accessories and also wore a mixed corsage. Immediately after the ceremony, a reception for 200 was held at the Labor Hall. The couple left for a trip to Perry Sound, Canada. After returning from their honeymoon, the bride and groom will reside at 194 East Niagara Stret. Along with his father and brother, Wythe operated Wythe Tire and Battery Service in Tonawanda for 50 years, before retiring in 1973. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, the Tonawanda Auxiliary Police and was a 50-year member of Niagara Hose and Fire Company in Tonawanda. White carnations decorated the main altar and pews and red roses were placed on the altar of the Madonna. The bride's gown of pearl white silk organza was designed with a yoke of sequins and p e a r l trimmed re-embroidered Alencon lace. Long sleeves were accented more. She smiles very prettily in with lace at the shoulders and wrists and a sweep back fullness type skirt with cut-out lace at the front featured a puff bustle back falling into a chapel train scat- tered with jeweled lace motifs. A jeweled queen's crown, imported from Augustria, held her four tiered boouffant veil of French silk illu- sion. She carried a prayer book covered with a white orchid, ste- phanotis and ivy. Miss Anita De Luca, niece of the bride and maid of honor wore a floor length gown of white sheer and two-tone orchid daisy print over white tulle and taffeta un- derskirt. Accents were tiny shoul- der bows, a V-neckline and two- tone sash caught at the back and extending into streamers. She wore a woven hairbraid picture hat in Bo-peep style, tied under the chin. Wearing identical dresses were the bridesmaids, Miss Carmelita Anastasi with a yellow daisy motif; Miss Janet Ginestre, petal pink, and Miss Joyce Urbano, blue. They carried cascade bouquets of carnations dyed to match their gowns. Patricia Malone, the bride's niece was the flower girl wearing a miniature of the attendants dresses with tangerine print and accessories. Thomas Anastasi, a cousin of the bridegroom, was the best man. Raymond Schmacher. Leon Bourdage and Donald Miller were ushers and John Anastasi, the bridegroom;s brother, was the ring bearer. 21195 | North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 7/10/1929 Tonawanda Business Man Drops Dead In His Store While displaying some of the new currency, which he had just drawn from the bank, to clerks in his flour, feed and seed store at 48-50 Young street shortly before 11 o'clock this morning Fred Pfanner, Jr., dropped dead. Several physicians were called but Mr. Pfanner died within a few minutes after being stricken. Born in Tonawanda 66 years ago, Mr. Pfanner had resided here all his life. He had been in business in the store where he died since 1884, first in partnership with his brother, Alderman George Pfanner, later alone and for the past ten years with his son, Richard Pfanner, under the firm name of Pfanner and Son. Mr. Pfanner was stricken with paralysis six weeks ago but recovered sufficiently three weeks later to walk to his place of business where he visited two or three times a week. He walked to the bank of the First Trust company this morning and returned to the store. Physicians expressed the belief that the effort proved too much for him. Booth, w h o , h a d been in ill health for several weeks as a result of a broken hip, died in a Long Island nursing home where he was convalescing. His wife died Memorial Day. also having suffered a broken hip shortly before her death. Capt. Booth's death marks the end of a long line of skippers in the Booth family. The call of the sea was also answered by his father, four brothers and one of his own sons, who died six years ago. A native of Lambton. Ont.. Capt. Booth be-fan his more than half-century career as a Great Lakes skipper shuttling lumber boats from various logging ports to North Tona- wanda when it was the "Lumber City." His own ship, "The Hazard." was retired when he began a career as captain on lake-going ships for the Huron-Portland Cement Co. out of Port Huron. Mich. When he was 65. Capt. Booth and his son. the late Capt. Fletcher W. Booth of North Tonawanda, joined forces to pilot destroyers and PT boats from shipyards at the Defoe Shipbuilding Co., Bay City. Mich., to the Navy yards in Chicago for use during World War II. Their World War II task completed. Capt. Fletcher W. Booth opened the Pilot House Re s t a u r a n t in Nor th Tona- wanda. The restaurant still is op- erated by his widow. Capt. William H. Booth and his wife first retired to Saginaw, Mich., later moving to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Donald Hauffe of Baldwin, Long Island. Besides Mrs. Hauffe, Capt.
