Joelle Christen DeBusschere-Boehnke, age 36, of Phoenix, AZ and formerly a Lockport resident and attendee at Royalton Hartland Central School District, arrived at her life's sunset on June 8, 2015.

She is survived by her son Devion Boenke; parents Connie Rosenbeck and David Arnold Boehnke; sisters Lisa Roselli (Areiella Arbeter), Danielle (Taloren) Govan, Amy (Marvin) Mitchell; niece, Madison Boehnke, nephew Jaden Govan ,and Angel Nephew waiting for her in heaven, Jaylen Govan; wife Tiffany Debuscherre; Aunt Donna Christy, as well as her beloved four legged furballs. Joelle had family members and several very close friends both old and new in WNY, Arizona and sprinkled all over the globe.

She will be remembered as a funny, kind and loving spirit who treasured her friends and loved ones. She was a music and old Skool enthusiast who had a passion for riding her Harley.

Joelle graciously became an organ donor and her gift of life has now blessed the lives of 7 others.

There will be a Remembrance and Life Celebration on Sunday June 14th beginning with a motorcycle and car procession from Royalton-Hartland Central School District beginning at 6:15 pm and traveling to Wide Waters Marina in Lockport where a memorial will be held around 7:00 pm.

A Remembrance and Life Celebration will be held in Phoenix, AZ the following weekend, details forthcoming.

Molly Ann Toenniessen McIntyre, age 64, passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Roseland, Florida, on March 10, 2015. Molly was born in Lockport, New York, on February 22, 1951, to Donald and Corinne Scholtz Toenniessen.

She lived in Lockport and married Garry Donald McIntyre in 1968 ,who passed away in 1973. In 1974, she moved to Orlando with their two children, Todd Anthony and Patrick John; grand-son Chance Braswell. In 1983, they moved to Vero Beach, FL, where she built a life in law enforcement at the Vero Beach Police Department.

Molly enjoyed an active lifestyle. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed fishing, photography, reading and writing. She was a police officer and detective for a total of 22 years and retired the late 1990's.

Molly is survived by her two sons; Todd Anthony (Patti Warren, fiance) and Patrick John; grandson Chance Braswell; her brothers, Peter (Michelle) Toenniessen and Ken (Tara) Toenniessen; her step-brothers, Bob( Karen) Schultz and Richard (Primrose) Schultz; and her step-sister, Karen (Gary)Gardner; many close friends and her loyal four-legged companion, Elle. She was preceded in death by her mother, Corinne Scholtz Toenniessen, father and step-mother, Donald and Helen Toenniessen, her brothers, Raymond and John Toenniessen and step-brothers, Ronald and Randy Schultz.

There will be a visitation 3:00-4:00 PM, with a service following at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home. Carol (nee Buckley) Confer, 75, of North Tonawanda, NY, wife of the late Raymond Confer, passed from this life on Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Clare Bridge of Niagara, where she was residing, while under the loving care of Niagara Hospice. Born on September 17, 1939 in Angola, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dorothea (nee Rugemer) and Albert Fest.

Mrs. Confer attended schools in Angola, NY and later moved to North Tonawanda, NY, where she resided until her passing. Carol was employed as a secretary for Confer Plastics, until her retirement in 2001.

Mrs. Confer is survived by3 children; David DiGiuseppe of Columbus, OH, Lisa DiGiuseppe of Lockport, NY and Carolyn (Christopher) Stone of Wheatfield, NY, and 2 grandchildren; Brandon and Karissa Stone. In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was predeceased by her former spouse, Anthony DiGiuseppe.

There will be no prior visitation. A private funeral service with Carol's family will be held on Monday in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY. Betty L. Davidson, age 77, of Lewiston, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a long illness.

Betty was born January 12, 1937 in the Town of Porter, the daughter of the late Loren P. and Ruth E. (Clark) Myers. She married Guy E. Davidson on her birthday in 1963. Betty worked as Nurse's Aide at the former Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston for 21 years. She was devoted to her husband and they had a wonderful and fulfilling life together. Her children and grandchildren will always remember her for her loving, giving, and generous ways.

She is survived by her husband, Guy, her children; Kim M. Faery of Youngstown, JoAnn (David) Ruble of Lockport, Gregory P. Davidson of Niagara Falls, NY, and Mark A. (Tricia) Davidson of Tonawanda, a sister; Andrea (Donald) Moshier of Youngstown, a sister in law; Gertrude Myers of Ransomville; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. "Cubby" Myers.

Helen Furlong, a long-time hairdresser in Lockport, N.Y., passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Oddfellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. She was 91.

Born Helen Elizabeth Fleischman on December 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Fleischman and the late Elizabeth (McEachon) Fleischman. She is also predeceased by sisters Catherine White and Margaret Fitzgerald and a brother, Donald Fleischman.

She started her career of many years at Ben's Beauty Salon, later establishing a salon in her home.

She is survived by her children, Paul Furlong (Orchard Park) and Ann Furlong (Lockport) as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be a mass celebrated in her honor at All Saints Church, 76 Church Street, Lockport, NY at 10 AM on Saturday, November 21. Catherine Rose Andalora, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on July 25, 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Alexander M. and Mary Rose (Conroy) Fleming.

Mrs. Andalora loved to watch her family of musicians perform. She enjoyed singing, dancing, bowling, cooking for her family and salmon fishing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her children and grandchildren.

Catherine was the wife of Charles Andalora; they were married on May 26, 1959.

She is survived by two sons, Charles J. (Catherine) Andalora, Jr. and Vincent J. (Karen J.) Andalora; two daughters, Susan Rose (Grant) Obee and Debra M. (Richard) Blech; grandchildren, Cory Cruise, Jesse (Caroline) Obee, Richard Blech, Jr., Darryl Blech, Kristin Blech, Eric Johnston and Kelli Young; great-grandchildren, Collin Blech, Delaney Blech, Keenan Mitchell Obee, Allana, McKenzie, Cadence, Jayda, Christian, Lucia and Emma; brother, Alexander (Donna) Fleming. She was the sister to the late Robert Fleming, Helen Strope and Mary Fleming. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John S. Beczkowski of Niagara Falls, NY, was called to his heavenly home on November 5, 2014 under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice.

He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 15, 1927 to the late John and Sophie (Monko) Beczkowski. John attended local schools and was drafted into the United States Army on April 26, 1946. On June 5, 1946 he enlisted into the United States Air Force. While serving the rank of Corporal, his tour of duty included being stationed in Panama where he was a crash and structural firefighter driver. He was honorably discharged on June 4, 1949 and received the Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal for his service and Sharp Shooter Award. On September 3, 1949, he married Genevieve Bernat whom he was married to for 54 years before her death in August 2004.

He worked for 36 years for Kimberly Clark/ Cellu/Niatec. John later was a bus driver for Opportunities Unlimited, picking up senior citizens in Niagara County for six years before he retired in 1991 to take care of his wife suffering with Parkinson's disease.

John was an avid hunter and enjoyed vacationing in Northern Canada fishing with his wife and children. He was a handy man and enjoyed woodworking, remodeling and had a knack for being able to repair just about "anything". He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also took pride in his gardening.

He is survived by three children; Diane (Robert) Smith, Gloria Beczkowski and John C. Beczkowski; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grand- children. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by a brother Matthew and sister Pauline Ciskiewicz.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 7, 2014 at ZAJC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319- 24th Street, corner of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, 14303. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 9:30 AM, which will be celebrated in Divine Mercy R.C. Ronald M. Sikora of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the age of 77, at Niagara Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda he was the son of the late Marion "Molly" and Helen (nee Rzepecki) Sikora. A U.S. Army veteran, Ronald was stationed in Germany from 1956-1958. Mr. Sikora retired from Emmet Belknap in 1994 after twenty-seven years of teaching technology and was a retired member in good standing of NYSUT. He was a fifth grade religious education teacher at the former St. Albert the Great Church. Ronald was a supervisor and swimming instructor at the former Wurlitzer pool for fifteen years. He was a past president and member of the Third Warders Social Club, enjoyed traveling with his wife, playing Euchre and adored his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Sandy (nee Abram) Sikora; dearest father of Michael (Linda) Sikora of Rochester, NY, Daniel (Susan) Sikora of Pittsburg, PA and Julie (Glenn) Dolata of North Tonawanda; proud and loving grandfather of Grayson and Molly Dolata and Brandon Sikora; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family of Paul Prozeller Sr. sadly announces the death of Paul Prozeller Sr. on September 22, 2014 at Waianae, Hawaii at the age of 92 due to a stroke. Born on June 6, 1922 at Niagara Falls, New York he was the son of Peter J and May (Newcomb) W. Prozeller. Paul had been a long time resident of Youngstown, New York before retiring to Hawaii.

Paul attended both Niagara Falls High and Newfane (New York)High where he completed his secondary education. Pursuing undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) he received his BS (ME) degree. He was president of his fraternity, Sigma Chi at Michigan. Following his undergraduate studies, Paul attended radar technical school for the Navy at Cornell University followed by several enlistments as Lieutenant Junior Grade on the J Douglass Blackwood in the Panama canal zone and following World War Two in the Pacific theater principally Tokyo. He was honorably discharged.

Paul was the youngest of 7 children and predeceased by all, Elsa, Peter, Newcomb, Clare, May and Jean. He had 3 children: Susan Yamane Carpenter of Waianae, Hawaii, (with Cynthia Merritt) Paul Prozeller, Jr of Lyon, France, Karen Olin of Lewiston, New York, (with Marbud Gagen) and one stepson David E Levine of Asheville, NC.

The majority of Paul's career was served in the capacity of mechanical engineer as it related to the specialty metal alloys industry. Employed by Pittsburg Metallurgical, Union Carbide, and later Elkem Metals all of Niagara Falls. Besides being based in Niagara Falls, New York, he completed various short term assignments in Calvert City Kentucky, Alloy, West Virginia, Ashtabula, Ohio and Oil City, Pennsylvania. He traveled extensively in Europe purchasing industrial equipment in his capacities as lead project engineer. Of particular note was his project leadership achievements building an extensive metals smelting facility in Grundartangy, Iceland as well as Chicoutimi, Quebec.

Paul enjoyed rebuilding vintage Ford model A vehicles as well as gardening, cooking and extensive hikes around the Niagara Area and while on work trips throughout West Virginia.

He will be sadly missed by his family.

Donald Marvin Heschke Sr., age 81, of Gasport, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport after a 9 year battle with Parkinson Disease. Born March 4, 1934 in Lockport, NY, Don is the son of the late Harold and Gertrude (Miller) Heschke.

He married Mary Cummings on October 28, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport. Don served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958 achieving the rank of Private First Class.

Don worked at General Motors retiring in 1997. As a jack-of-all-trades, he enjoyed working on the farm and loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren. A kind man of gentle demeanor, Don's patience and willingness to help will be remembered by all.

Surviving is his wife Mary, and children, Donald (Shari) Heschke Jr. of Gasport, Debra (Jeff) Piggins of Lockport and Michael (Connie) Heschke of Medina; brother of William Heschke of Gasport, Mary Wood of Lockport, Ida (Fred) Giertz of Middleport, Richard Heschke of Middleport and Shirley Doty of Gasport. He was predeceased by a brother: Clarence Heschke. Grandfather of Tristan, Ian and Casidhe Heschke Stephanie and Hannah Piggins and Brandon and Samantha Heschke. Several nieces and nephews also survive Don.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Sunday, November 1,, 2015 from 2-6 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church 4447 Central Avenue, Gasport, NY on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 10:00 am with the Reverend Rod Klinzing officiating. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.

Diana (nee Modi) (Niland) Sollars, age 89 of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, Monday October 27, 2014, at Northgate Manor. Diana was the wife of the late Edward F. Niland and the late Ralph D. Sollars, and was the sister of the late Theodore (the late Joanne) Modi.

She is survived by her son, Preston (Jan) Niland and her granddaughter Briana Niland; 2 step- children, Rebecca (Roger) Belling and Robert Sollars; and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, November 3rd from 3-7PM at John O. Rosemary L. Bernard of Middleport, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 29, 2014 at Niagara Hospice House. Mrs. Bernard was born in Medina, NY on December 13, 1943, daughter of Merton and Nina (Baes) Walker and she has lived in Middleport for the past 47 years before that she resided in Gasport. She and her husband, Robert J. Bernard, were married on April 29, 1967.

Mrs. Bernard served as Library Director for the Royalton Hartland Community Library for several years and she enjoyed her family, loved to knit, crochet and read. She also enjoyed playing cards, board games and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Bernard; two daughters and one son, Laura (Daniel) Zorn of Pendleton, Beth (Brett) Benedict of Rochester and Robert J. Bernard of Buffalo. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Erin Zorn, Zachary Zorn, Hannah Benedict, Avery Benedict, Christopher Joy and Katie Joy; two brothers and one sister, Norman (Martha) Walker of North Carolina, Claudia Hall of Lockport and Steven (Phyllis) Walker of Gasport; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald Upton, formerly of Wilson, passed away September 27, 2015, after a two year battle with cancer. He was born January 26, 1963 to Melvin and Jean (Zastrow) Upton, who predeceased him. Don graduated from Wilson Central. He moved to Arizona 20 years ago, where he worked a a commercial electrician.

Don is survived by his wife, Alyssa (Farace) Upton; his stepsons, Ryan and Anthony; and his beloved pets, Lucky and Bella. Also surviving are his siblings, Barbara (late David) Schendel, Bonnie (George) Smith, James (Yvonne) Upton and Randy (Tammy) Upton; his in-laws, Barbara (Terry) Kyte, John Farace and Joe Tinker, Gina (Glenn) Higa, Anjanette (David) Valenta, Myra Johsnon, Kyle (Jennifer) Farace, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Elizabeth L. "Betty" Meyers, age 90, of Pekin, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on October 7, 2014 at her residence, while under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Pendleton, NY on April 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Human) Benthin.

A graduate of North Tonawanda High School, she was a devoted homemaker and employed at Harrison Radiator, retiring in 1989. Betty was a long time member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Pekin.

Survivors include her husband, Carl H. Meyers, they were married July 29, 1950; five children, Janet (Randy) Schultz of Wilson, Marilyn (Jack) Pardee of Ransomville, Beverly (Mark) Walter of Pendleton, Cindy (Neil) Haseley of MI and Dale (Mary) Meyers of CT; nine grandchildren, Karla, Robert, Jacklyn, Kristen, Nichlas, Shawnee, Michael, Margaret and Sarah; three great-grandchildren, Damian, Christian and Rory; and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth E. (nee Peter) Lorenz, age 91 of the Town of Wheatfield and formerly of Martinsville, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Northgate Manor under the care of Niagara Hospice. She was the wife of Robert W. Lorenz who died in 2000 and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.

She is survived by three children, Timothy (Renee) Lorenz of Wheatfield, Pamela (Larry) Doel of Florida and Paula Stange of Getzville; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Kimberly (Geoffry), Marci, Corey, Kelly (Marcus), Katie (Steve), Tracy (Steven), Amanda and Bradley and eight great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Abigail, Austin, Rachael, Ryan, Carter, Colton and Kennedy.

Eleanor (Ziehl) Szeliga, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in North Tonawanda on November 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Wurl) Ziehl. She attended and graduated from North Tonawanda High Schools.

Ms. Szeliga was employed as a waitress at several local establishments including Old Greenwalls Restaurant, Dunkin Donuts and the former Country Kitchen. She loved to camp, play bingo and feed the many squirrels that greeted her every day at her door.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Dennis) Weber of Niagara Falls, Anthony Szeliga of Lockport, Larry (Joanne) Szeliga of Niagara Falls, Thomas Szeliga of Niagara Falls, Mary (Andrew) Kisiel of Lewiston; her daughter-in-law, Joanne Szeliga of Oregon; a sister, Lois Ziehm of North Tonawanda; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear friend, Adolph DeMartin and children, Martin Szeliga, Marcia Cavagnaro, Chester and Timothy Szeliga; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Bootes.

Patricia was born in Lockport, on May 10, 1941 and the daughter of the late Carl and Frances Boyer. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and playing bingo, watching the NY Yankees and football.

Mother of Christopher Hughes of Seattle, WA; and grandmother of Brianna, Landon and Isabelle Hughes. Betty Jane (nee Rappleyea) Cech, of Tonawanda, passed through this life and departed from us on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the age of 84. Betty was born in North Tonawanda and married her teenage sweetheart, the late Casimer Cech. Her joy in life was her family, followed closely by bingo, tending to her garden and throwing tea parties for her grandchild and great-grandchildren.

Robert retired from the Carborundum Company in Wheatfield and enjoyed golfing, bowling and square dancing.

Robert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Aveen (Leeson) Edwards; several children, step-children, grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and will be missed by family in England and Australia. He was predeceased by two brothers.

Helen May Cescon, age 94 of Lockport, entered into rest on August 10, 2015 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born May 3, 1921 in Belfast, NY, Helen is the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Foss) Carley.

Helen was a graduate of Arcade High School. She married Harry Cescon in March of l962. He died in 2004. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for the Frederal Credit Union #1 in Lockport, retiring in l982.

Surviving Helen is her daughters, Anita (Richard) Rybolt of Medina, Ohio and Nancy (Frederick) Haas of Lockport; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Carla) Rybolt of Tampa, Florida and Nancy Ulmer of Medina, Ohio; Laurie (Patrick) McCabe of Clarence and Larry (Barbara) Haas of Lockport; 9 great grandchildren and one niece Linda (Roy) Mack of Elkland, Pa.

Barbara M. (McGovern) Carella, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Buffalo General Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls on March 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Bednarz) McGovern. Barbara was a bank teller for 25 years at M&T Bank until her retirement.

Art W. McGill, 86, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, departed this life for his eternal rest on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in Melbourne, FL. Art was born in Eldred, PA to the parents of Arthur D. and Audra L. McGill.

Upon leaving high school, Art served in the United States Navy from April 9, 1945 until his honorable discharge on December 1, 1948, and was awarded the American Area, Good Conduct, Navy Occupation and World War II Victory medals. He served as Chairman of the Niagara Falls City Democrat Committee and as a committeeman with Niagara County Democrat Party. He also served as civil service commissioner for Niagara Falls and Niagara County. He was a 65-year member of the IBEW Electrical Union 237, and a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association. In 1975, he started Art McGill Electric Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY, a business which continues to be operated by his family. In 1991 he became an electrical inspector for the City of Niagara Falls until retiring in 1994.

Art was a life member of the John J. Welch American Legion Post #381, VFW Post #917, member of the Main Street Business Association, member of the Police and Judges Association and served as trustee and usher at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, all in Niagara Falls, NY. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #117, VFW Post #1005, member of Our Lady of Grace Church and St. Joseph Church, and a lifetime 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Grace, all in Palm Bay, FL. Art was also a member of the Cruiser Sailor Association, USS Helena Association, La Societe Des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux, 40 and 8, and enjoyed traveling to his biennial ships reunion. He also enjoyed his participation on the Honor Flight for WWII veterans.

Art leaves to mourn his loving wife of 18 years, Sandy (Breed) McGill, and was predeceased by his first wife of 44 years, Patricia (Ball) McGill. He is survived by nine children, Patricia McGill and Mary (Don) Zewin, both of Las Vegas, NV, Chuck (Barbara) McGill of Youngstown, NY, Grace (Rick) Feldhousen of Town of Niagara, NY, Teresa (Jerry) Petre of Ivor, VA, Michael McGill and Margaret (Steve) Pashkutz, both of Garden Grove, CA, Elizabeth Browne of Las Vegas, NV, and Roderick (Missy) McGill of Lewiston, NY. She was the wife of the late James J. Nassoiy, they were married for 52 years. She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Sue) Nassoiy, Daniel (Lee) Nassoiy and Michael (Dorothy) Nassoiy; two daughters, Mary K. Nassoiy and Karen (Michael) Terrana; grandchildren, Michael and Christina Terrana, Gerard and Crystal Smith, Elisa, Renee and Alea Nassoiy; sister, Joanne (late Jerald) Cuddahee; sister-in-law, Patricia Diez. Margaret V. (Murphy) McKinney, 82, of the Town of Wheatfield passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville, NY. Born in Morgantown, WV she was the daughter of the late Orlando C. and Gladys (Rinker) Murphy and step daughter of the late Adah Murphy.

Margaret came to Niagara Falls at the age of eight years old with her family and attended local schools. On April 9, 1952 she married Robert McKinney at St. Paul's Chapel in Niagara Falls, NY. She and her husband, Robert "Bill" owned and operated McKinney's Tavern and the Embassy Bar on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. McKinney predeceased her on September 13, 2001. She later worked as a housekeeper at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and retired in 2010. Following her retirement Margaret volunteered her services at the hospital mainly in their gift shop. In her leisure time, she loved ceramics, camping, crocheting and knitting. But her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Edith A. Thompson of Lockport passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Buffalo General Hospital.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Gasport, NY on August 4, 1932 daughter of Roy and Irene (Retzleff) Wollenberg and she lived in the Gasport area most of her life. She was employed as a Sales Clerk at Woolworth Company in Lockport, NY. She and her husband Lavern Allen Thompson were married September 19, 1959 and she enjoyed her family and crafting.

She was predeceased by her husband Lavern Allen Thompson in 2011 and by a sister Marylou Kropp and a brother Carl Wollenberg.

She is survived by one son and one daughter William A. Thompson and Audrey (Robert) Evans both of Lockport, three grandchildren Lucille Thomspon, Mitchell Evans and Maxwell Evans all of Lockport.

Also surviving is a brother David (Norma) Wollenberg of Middleport, a sister-in-law Norma Wollenberg of Gasport and Shirley Thompson of Lockport and several nieces and nephews.

Emily [Buja] Broda, age 105, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY and most recently of Lewiston, NY passed away peacefully on December 20, 2014, at Newfane Nursing Home, Newfane, NY, where she received loving care.

Mrs. Broda was born Emily Pauline Buja, one of ten children, the daughter of the late Alexander and Josephine Buja on January 5, 1909 in Niagara Falls, NY. She was married to the late Martin J. Broda, the former owner and founder of the Broda Machine Company on Packard Rd. for 47 years and co-owner of the Plantation Restaurant on the corner of Niagara Falls Blvd. and Military Road. She was a member of St. Peter's R.C. Church in Lewiston, NY and formerly a member of St. John De LaSalle R.C. Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

Emily served many years as a volunteer for the St. Francis Guild of St. Mary's Hospital working in the gift shop and crocheting items for the annual fund raising bazaars. Emily was a warm and loving person, giving of herself to others. Her favorite pastimes include spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting afghans for her friends, family and charitable organizations in addition to participating in the activities of the Senior Citizen Center of Lewiston, NY.

She is survived by a son, William (Mary Pat) Broda, of Charlotte, NC; a daughter Carrie (Robert) Weber of Lewiston, NY; and late son James Broda, granddaughters Michelle Broda (Dan) West of Richmond, VA and Janelle Weber and husband Marlow Miller of Tampa, FL; a grandson Derek (Amie Gilliland) Weber of Wakefield MA, one great-grandson Michael Broda West of Richmond VA. Marohn who died in 1967 and daughter of the late Fred A. and Agnes (nee Johnson) Rech. A 1937 graduate of Tonawanda High School, Dorothy had been employed as a Dental Hygiene Teacher in the City of Tonawanda School System for 24 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was a former Elder and Deacon. She was also a member of the Circle Three Women's Group of the church and a founding member of the Memorial Garden Foundation. She was also a member of DeGraff Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and several Dental Hygiene Associations.

Herman E. Kroening age 86, was called to his heavenly home on December 22, 2014 while at the Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on February 12, 1928, he was the son of the late Philip and Minnie (Pfohl) Kroening. Herman was a self employed agricultural farmer in the Town of Wheatfield, and raised various farm animals. For many years he worked in his family's lumber yard with his father and brother.

Survivors include a daughter, Amy Consier of Newfane; a sister, Esther (dec. Donald) Schneck; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Norma E. Kroening on July 27, 2003 and a brother, Rudolph Kroening.

Altha J. Kline age 97 of Niagara Falls, was called to her heavenly home on December 22, 2014 while at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 21, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and May (Fry) Kline Sr. Altha attended local schools and was a high school graduate. She was employed at Moore Business Forms until retirement.

Survivors include a brother, David Kline of Niagara Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth Gross, Martha Williams and Gertrude Mason; and two brothers, Daniel Kline and Ralph Kline Jr.

Keith Marsh, age 54, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Niagara Hospice House surrounded by his family, after a hard 4 year battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Born in Niagara Falls on July 26, 1960 he was the son of the late William and Helen (Felvus) Marsh and also son in-law of the late Robert and Marilyn (Krohn) Reinbolt.

Keith was a mechanic for 18 years at Modern Disposal Corporation and owned Keith Motors. Through the years he also worked for Future Tire, Alongi Motors and LaSalle Taxi. Keith was a member of Ransomville Free Methodist Church and the 3F Gun Club, along with their youth shooting club. He loved NASCAR, golf, bowling and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sherry(Reinbolt) Marsh; children Sarah (Chris) Charles, RJ Marsh and Brian Krohn; papa to Layla, Masen and Travis Charles; eight siblings, Debbie( Jim) Shaughnessy,Patricia(Joe) Allan, Butch Marsh, William(Becky) Marsh, Victoria Marsh-Chesser, Joey Gaines, MaryAnn Gaines and Joann Torcasu ;sister in-laws, Laura(Kevin) Dabill and Roberta(Tom) Reinbolt. Amanda Margaret Walck, age 97, formerly of Sanborn, was called to her heavenly home in Iowa, on December 23, 2014. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 5, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Pastor Alfred and Amanda (Milleville) Walck.

In addition to several secretarial positions, Amanda served as Parish Worker in Waterloo, IA, Fremont and Columbus, OH, Sioux City, IA and Morris, IL. She served on many committees and boards. In 1979 she retired and moved to Sanborn, NY, the area where her parents and many relatives were born. Down through the years and at St. Peter's Lutheran, in Walmore, she was involved in teaching Sunday School, circles and Bible studies. Her recent activity was with the Seniors at St. Peter's, where she taught Sunday School until she was 91 years of age. She also sang in choirs and groups through the years, and enjoyed making banners for churches.

She was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Gertrude, Martha Winnes and Dorothy Wendt. She is survived by her brother, Alfred (Marion) Walck.

Donald F. Priddle, 98, formerly of Lockport, NY, died Friday November 21, 2014 in Orange City, Florida.

He was a graduate of DeVeaux School in Niagara Falls before becoming Employment Manager of Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corporation. Leaving there to serve his country, he entered the Army serving in the Southwest Pacific for four years during World War II, and was recalled to active duty in 1951 during the Korean conflict. Upon returning to Lockport, he purchased and managed Mecorney's Decorating Center, 22-24 West Main Street until his retirement in 1983.

He was preceded in death by daughter Kathleen Rau and sister Louise Priddle. Surviving are his wife Berniece, a daughter Terry Eldridge of Eaton Center, NH, two grandchildren; Gretchen Janssen of Crane Lake, MN, and Christopher Merrill of Boynton Beach, FL, and five great-grandsons.

Chester Orzulak, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at home under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls on May 30, 1923 he was the son of the late Anthony and Sophie (Walezak) Orszulak. He entered the United States Army March 10, 1943 serving during World War II. Receiving the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged on February 28, 1946 as a T-Sgt. After his service Chester worked at DuPont until his retirement.

He is survived by numerous friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his three brothers, Matthew, Victor and Vincent Orszulak and one sister, Genevieve Stack.

NO PRIOR visitation. A Memorial Mass with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Dorothy Barbara Jex passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Born in Medina, on February 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George and Dora Houseman.

Barbara worked and retired from the Lockport School District, retiring to Punta Gorda, FL where she was very active with the "Lockport Days". Barbara belonged to the Moose Lodge and was a member of the piano and organ group at CCCC FL. She enjoyed her many friends and enjoyed playing cards and playing her organ. She enjoyed traveling to various places with her companion and family. Especially loved the water. Barbara lived life to the fullest with her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Albert William Jex, who passed away January of 1997 and her grandson, Spec. Albert Ronald Jex.

She is survived by her children; Nelson (Cindy Farina) Jex of Lockport, NY, and Cindy (Robert Gotts) Jex of Barker, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicole (Steven) James of Barker, Megan (Peter) Trifiro of Wake Forest N.C., and Michael (Melissa) Perkins of Utica NY; great grandmother of Brayden, Alexander, Kaylee and Christopher. Barbara is also survived by her companion Wendel Heady in Florida. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Roger, Robert and Lavern Houseman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, Lockport NY. A second service will be held in Florida in January 2015 at a place and time to be determined. Frank A. 'Pop Man Frank' Borgese, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born on September 11, 1921 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Anthony and Alberta (nee Certo) Borgese.

A Niagara Falls native he was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. During WWII, Frank served in US Navy on the Sub Chaser US SC 733. Frank worked in the family business Star Bottling Works which was founded by his father and served as president from 1973 until his retirement in 1983. On June 7, 1997, Frank married the former Jennie (Morreale) Cicchetti in St. Joseph Church. His first wife, Marie (Paradise) passed away on December 2, 1971. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed family traditions, and spending time with his family and friends. In 2002 Frank received the "Cittadini Speciale" Award from the Pine Avenue Business Association at the Annual Italian Festival. After his retirement, Frank enjoyed the outdoors he could often be seen walking on Goat Island which he did faithfully. He was an avid NY Yankees Fan, and a member Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish and John J. Welch American Legion Post #381.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Jennie E. (nee Morreale) Borgese of Niagara Falls, NY; three daughters, Alberta (Murray) DeMartino of Grand Island, NY, Irene (Frank) Felicetti of Lewiston, NY and Marie (James) Massaro also of Grand Island, NY; two stepchildren, John J. Grace L. Tylec of Middleport passed away Monday February 23, 2015, at the Briody Healthcare Facility in Lockport, NY.

Mrs. Tylec was born in Medina, NY on March 27, 1923, daughter of the late Timothy and Blanche (McKnight) Tracey. She was a homemaker and has lived in Middleport most of her life.

She and her husband Stanley J. Tylec were married October 17, 1942. Mrs. Tylec enjoyed her family, tole painting, making rugs and was an expert seamstress and she also enjoyed baking.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish/St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Middleport and was a member of it's Altar and Rosary Society.

Mrs. Tylec was predeceased by her husband Stanley J. Tylec in 2008, a daughter Mary Pamela Belfield, her sister Mary Hughes and two brothers, James Tracey and Timothy Tracey.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons Colleen (William) Lewandowski of Medina, Patricia (Thomas) White of Florida, Vincent T. (Cynthia) Tylec of Middleport and Mark (Gail) Tylec of Florida; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; also surviving is a son-in-law, David Belfield of Middleport, sisters-in-law Geri Tracey of Scotia, NY and Virginia Tracey of Lockport and several nieces and nephews.

Rose (Pannozzo) Giovannucci, 89, formerly of Pierce Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully Saturday Jan- uary 31, 2015 in Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lock- port, NY, after a brief illness. She was born June 2, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Pasqualina (Angerille) and Pasquale Pannozzo. A Niagara Falls native Rose attended local schools and received her secretarial certificate from Kelly's Business Institute. On October 25, 1945 the former Rose Pannozzo married Albert Giovannucci in St. Joseph's Church. He died December 28, 1979. Rose worked as a secretary for many years for the 7Up Bottling Company and later the Niagara Falls Civil Defense Office until her retirement in the mid 1980's. He pastimes included reading and quilting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Albert Giovannucci of Wilson, NY, Gerald (Rod) Giovannucci of Niagara Falls, NY, Patricia (Gary) Antonelli of Berlin Hgts., OH.; five grandchildren, Marcia (Tom) Antonelli-Vaccaro, Marc (Devin) Antonelli, Lisa (Tony) Strangio, Vincent Giovannucci and Albert Giovannucci; six great grandchildren, Mariella, Luciana, Antonio, Stella, Xavier and Izzabella; two sisters, Nellie (late Joseph) Morreale, Angie (late Sam) Amantia and many nieces and nephews. Ronald J. Janik, 79 years old of Grand Island passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. He was born in Niagara Falls on August 21, 1935, the son of the late John J. and Gladys G. (Klejdys) Janik.

Ronald attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and was a graduate of Bishop Duffy High School. He then attended Iowa State University on a football scholarship. For several years he worked at Hooker Chemical before joining his uncles in running the family business, The Johnnie Ryan Co., Inc. which he later operated with his brothers, John and Paul, and which is currently being operated by his nephews. For many years Ronald enjoyed bartending at John's Flaming Hearth and being a starter at River Oaks Golf Course. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church and their liturgical committee. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, his annual golf trips to Arizona, traveling to Poland and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Ronald's best memories were of taking care of and spoiling his grandson, Ryan.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Claudia (Kevin) O'Neil of Grand Island; his grandson, Ryan; his brother, Paul (Marietta) Janik of the Town of Wheatfield; his sister, Kathy (Thomas) Tedesco of Niagara Falls and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Alyce A. (McKoski) Janik who passed away on September 26, 2001 and his brother, John Janik (Natalie of Niagara Falls).

Harold F. Wagner, 89, entered into rest on January 18, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. He was born July 5, 1925 in Wolcottsville, New York to the late Henry and Clara (Beurhing) Wagne. A lifetime member of St. Michael's Church in Wolcottsville, he married his late wife, Evelyn Heim there on June 17, 1950, where he served faithfully as a Board Chairman, Trustee, Cemetery Caretaker, and Volunteer. He was a lifetime member of The Wolcottsville Fire Company where he held the offices of President, Vice-President, and Treasurer for 27 years. Harold worked on a farm in his early years and at National Gypsum and Harrison GMC. He retired after 30 years from Norco Machine and Sheet Metal.

Harold is predeceased by his beloved wife, Evelyn and is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Katherine's life will be held in the way of a Catholic Service on Saturday, January 30th at Noon, St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adams St., Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Katherine's name to Niagara Hospice.

Linda May Aaron age 75 of the Town of Niagara, entered into rest unexpectedly at her residence on January 27, 2015. Born in the Town of Niagara on April 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Lu (Craig) Wagner. Linda was united in marriage to John A. Aaron on June 14, 1958. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and flower gardening.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tami (Thomas) McNamara; five grandchildren, Nicholas and John Zaccarella, Brooke McNamara, Ashley Burleson and Marylynn Aaron; two brothers, Carl (Geri) Wagner and Melvin (Cathy) Wagner; and sister-in-law, Betty (Paul) Manchester. Also predeceased by a son, Anthony Aaron; and her mother and father in law, Judy and John Aaron.

A private service will be held with the family, with the interment in the Ransomville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenal Diabetes Association. Arrangements were with the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234).

Virginia M. Uschold, age 94, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehab & Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born in Williamsville, NY on June 5, 1920, the daughter of Martin Degan and Marion (Zent) Degan Fitchlee. She was a 1938 graduate of Williamsville High School.

Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband Duane J. Uschold on May 21, 1998. They were married on July 16, 1960 in Lockport, NY. She also was predeceased by her beloved son and daughter, L. James Bowers of Jamestown, NY and Karen Zapp of Lockport, NY. Also predeceased by her sons-in-law, Chuck Restivo, John Zapp and Gerry Beutel, all of Lockport and her siblings, Robert Degan, Mary Jane Van Dusen, Delores Patterson, William Degan, Richard Degan and Raymond Degan. She was the loving mother of Carol (Gerry Zanow) Restivo, Gail Beutel, both of Lockport, Robert (Judi) Uschold of Bushnell, FL, and Nancy (Jack) Poyfair of Lockport. She is also survived by her many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren who will all miss her dearly. She also leaves behind her beloved Chloe.

Virginia worked at Cordays Dress Shop in Lockport in the late 1950s and loved working there. After she married Dewey she was happy to stay at home and be a wife, mother and grandmother. She had lived at the Lockport Presbyterian Home since October, 2013, where she loved being and loved all of her new "family" who cared so lovingly for her and her new friends who lived there. She was a little social butterfly and loved getting involved in everything. Most recently she was cared for at Odd Fellows Home. She loved everyone there and they took such wonderful loving care of her during her last days, especially her granddaughter Stacey Kleitz.

Virginia was a member of the Lockport United Church of Christ, 98 East Ave, Lockport, NY, where a memorial service will be held Thursday January, 29, 2015 at 11AM with the Rev. Stephen Hall officiating. Entombment immediately following the service at Glenwood Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Virginia's favorite restaurant, Cammarata's. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in her honor to the Lockport Presbyterian Home Resident's Fund or to a charity of one's choice.

Duane A. Fuerch age 58 of Niagara Falls, was called to his heavenly home on January 4, 2015 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born February 5, 1956 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Norbert and Arlene (Ausderau) Fuerch. Duane was a 1974 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, and received his associate's degree from ITT Technical Institute. He was employed as a pipe fitter at Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Co., Inc. until his disability. A life long member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Bergholz; he enjoyed reading, the Bible and music.

Survivors include his wife, Janine (Jasulevich) Fuerch. They were married May 12, 1984; two brothers and a sister, Gerry (Sharon) Fuerch of Pavilion, NY, Linda (Randy) Jasulevich of Pendleton and Les (Mary) Fuerch of Bergholz; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also predeceased by is mother and father in law, Robert and Mary Lou Jasulevich.

Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234), 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach, on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Luther Street. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran School.

Craig Kelkenberg of Akron passed, suddenly, January 4, 2015. He was born in Buffalo on October 7, 1967 to Helen (Krull) Kelkenberg and the late Louis Kelkenberg.

Craig was a member of the Akron High School class of 1985. He especially enjoyed hunting fishing, and snowmobiling. Craig loved spending time with family and watching his nephews grow. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and loved ones.

Craig is survived by his mother Helen and two brothers; Scott (Kelli) Kelkenberg of Akron and Aaron Kelkenberg of Angelica; nephews, Preston, Trenton and Mason Kelkenberg of Akron. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive him.

Friends and relatives may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron. A Funeral Service will take place at the Zion Lutheran Church, 9535 Clarence Center Road, Clarence Center on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Zion Lutheran Church or The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
