Schulz; mother of Judith (late David) Georger, Paul (Peggy) Schulz, Amy (Samuel) Folby, Jane Shaffer and Peter (Craig) Menzies) Schulz and 13 grandchildren; sister of Barbara V. Keyl, Rudolph J. (Barbara) Keyl and the late Theodore H. Keyl; sister-in-law of Ruth Patterson. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, January 9 from 10 AM-11 AM at First Trinity Lutheran Church, 1570 Niagara Falls Blvd. in the Town of Tonawanda, where a Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM. Wife of 56 years to Gary Schulz, mother of Robin Schulz and Amy Spencer, grandmother of Joshua (Patricia) Spencer, Kaitlyn Trunzo and Jacob Spencer and great-grandmother of Liam and Dwayne, daughter of the late Chesley and Marion (nee Keller) O'Bryan, sister of David O'Bryan and the late Chesley "Archie" (late Pamela) O'Bryan and Annette "Anne" (living spouse Richard) Graff. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Maureen was a 1965 graduate of Tonawanda High School and a retired Manager of Wilson Farms Convenient Store in Tonawanda. She was also a life long member of Salem United Church of Christ and a die-hard Yankees and Bills Fan. There will be no prior visitation. He was born in North Tonawanda on October 21st 1961 and is survived by his parents Francis "Bud" and Joan (Hardy) Scheller. He was the beloved father of Caitlin (Richard Jimenez) Scheller and Mallory (Charles Pearce) Scheller and amazing grandfather and “SaSa” to his 4 grandchildren – Elizabeth “Liz” Shear, Richard “Bubby” Jimenez, and Charlotte and William “Wilby” Pearce. He is also survived by his sisters Laurie (Ted) Deverell, Jo-Ellen Laderer, and Chris (Fred) Stanley and his niece and nephew. Scott was a Retired Union Electrician for IBEW Local #237. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling and going to Walt Disney World, and spending time with his 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren. 23963 Scott Daniel Hawkins, 52 of Lockport, NY, suddenly passed away on October 15, 2017, after having a great day of riding his Dirt Bike. Born March 4, 1965 in Lockport, he was the son of the late Gene Duane and Carol Ann (Woodcock) Hawkins.
Scott graduated from Wilson High School and owned his own business Scott's Tint Service, for over 30 years, a business where he was very proud of his work. Scott loved racing Motocross and riding his snowmobile. Scott could talk up a storm, had an unforgettable personality, many friends, a contagious smile and was very proud of his children who he cherished. He will be truly missed by all whom knew him.
Scott is survived by his life partner of 25 years Laura Alexander. Beloved Father of Nicholas and Karie. Step Father of Alicia Alexander. Dear brother of Lisa (Kirk) Twardowski of Mountain View, CA., and Tim (Bill Paul) Hawkins of North Tonawanda. Also survived by a nephew, Jarek Twardowski and many relatives.

23965 Scott Stamler Shafer, of Ransomville, NY died on December 05, 2018 after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family and lifelong friends.
Born on June 12, 1959 in Niagara Falls, NY Scott was the son of Patricia Shafer of Youngstown, NY. He is survived by two children, Jennifer (Jonathan) Payne and Dr. Jonathan Shafer; sister Dr. Starrin Shafer; brother Steven (Stephanie) Shafer; grandchildren Natalie and Emilee and extended family. He was predeceased by his father Roy Shafer and a sister Suzanne Koepsell.
A graduate of North Tonawanda High School, Scott earned a degree in Applied Science, Computer Aided Design and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Niagara County Community College and began his career in the engineering and construction industries. Scott worked construction for Herbert F. Darling Inc. and Schmoyer Construction Co., engineering for Delphi Thermal and most recently as a Project Manager with Shannon Enterprises in North Tonawanda.
An avid sportsman, Scott enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved tending his garden in the summer months, snowmobiling in the winter and supporting the Buffalo hometown teams.
Scott loved spending time with his family including his special Aunt Jill, his mother Pat and was especially proud of the accomplishments of his daughter Jennifer and son Jonathan.

23967 Sean E. O’Shea, 59, of Youngstown, NY passed away on May 3, 2018 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he is the son of Doreen (Berthot) Michailof and the late Senan O’Shea.

Sean attended local schools and graduated from Lew-Port High School. He served as Vice-President and supervisor of Citi Group. He also enjoyed trivia, reading, music and cooking for his family. 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Judy Olejar O’Shea; his son, Brendan J. O’Shea; his siblings Siobhan O’Shea Lee (Gregory); Kevin O’Shea (Rhonda) and Shannon Thompson; son- in -law of Ida and the late Frank Olejar; brother- in- law of Diane (Joseph) Achytl, and Stephen Olejar as well as his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

23980 Selma Hamilton, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020, at O. L.P Nursing Care Residence. Born in Central City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Angelo C. and Lena (Barrecca) Rizzo; and beloved wife of the late Hamish Hamilton.
Selma was raised in Pennsylvania and moved to Niagara Falls with her family as a child. She graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School and moved to Orange County, CA, for a short period before returning to Niagara Falls.
Selma was employed at Keller Agencies, and also owned and operated the Wayne Hotel and Hamish’s Inn alongside her husband. She later retired from the Occidental Chemical Corp as a Lab Technician for many years.
Selma was a former member of the Eastern Star women’s auxiliary and enjoyed fishing a traveling with her husband. She also loved spending time at the Casino but above all, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Selma is survived by her children, Annie Pappineau, James (fiance Kathy Rush) Hamilton, and was predeceased by her infant daughter, Lori Jean Hamilton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tylor Pappineau, Samantha Regan, James (Brittani) Hamilton and Kristian (fiancé Aleigha Sexton) Hamilton; her great-grandchildren, Bentley and Aubrey Hamilton, and Kaeson Hamilton; her son-in-law, James Pappineau; siblings, Frances (late Stanley) Koshinski, Verna (late Biagio) Grossi, Mary Ann (late Douglas) Pike, Dominic “Mickey” (Gilda) Rizzo and Joseph (Maria) Rizzo, and many nieces and nephews. Born Jan. 6, 1885, in the Town of Lewiston, she was the daughter of Gottlieb. and Fredericka Haseley Schuetz. She was the widow of Walter Preisch. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery.

Beloved husband of the late Janice A. (nee Fraas); dearest father of Kathleen (Brian) Senefelder, Edward (Gail) Dahlke, Donna (late Raymond) Geschwender and Charles A. (Paula) Dahlke; grandfather of 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; brother of the late Joan (Richard) Schubert.

Marjean E. Leissle, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed to the arms of the Lord, December 26, 2020 surrounded by her husband, Manfred and her loving daughter, Linda. Born on July 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marjorie (Frawley) Andres.
Marjean was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and a 1952 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She began working at the NY Telephone Company as a service representative and observer. In 1959, she married her beloved husband, Manfred H. Leissle at the former Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Niagara Falls.
After raising two children, Marjean returned to work at Jenss Department Store as department associate and buyer. Following her Jenss tenure she was employed by “Cardsmart on Delaware” in Buffalo as manager and buyer. 
Marjean’s love for her Catholic Faith became paramount in her life. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. John de LaSalle Church, where she was an active volunteer for different social events and fundraisers. She was also a former President of the School Mother’s Club supporting children and families. 
Following her retirement, she loved tending to her flowers and gardens. She also loved sporting events and spending time with her loving friends of many generations. Above all, Marjean especially spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Mrs. Leissle is survived by two children, Robert of Tampa, Florida; and daughter Linda (Brian) Hohmann of Amherst, NY; her cherished granddaughter, Jillian (Andrew) Smith of Cookeville, TN; her sister, Gail Andres, and several nieces and nephews.   
Visitation will be on held on Wednesday, December 30 from 10:30 – 11:30 A.M. in St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by Marjean’s Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to her home care aides and nurses for the loving care and compassion given to Marjean. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings in Marjean’s name may be made to St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).

Paul A. Mattuccilli, Jr., age 83, entered peacefully into eternal rest on March 28, 2025 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Paul A. Mattuccilli Sr and Madeline Mattuccilli.
Paul graduated from Trott Vocational High School and joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he was employed by the Carborundum Company for over 35 years prior to his retirement.
Paul was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Leo’s Parish. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and had a love for animals, especially his cats and the care he gave to strays. He also looked forward to warm sunny days to sitting on his porch and talking with his neighbors.
Above all, Paul was a deeply proud Veteran who held an unwavering love for his country. He consistently exemplified his patriotism.
Paul is survived by his children, Paul A. Mattuccilli III and Kira (Bob Burke) Mattuccilli; his loving sister, Marie Mattuccilli-Bax, whom they shared a close bond. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Krystal Burke, Nicholas Burke and Paul A. Mattuccilli IV; his niece and nephew, Vicki and Tim Bower, and their children, Ryan and Alyssa, all whom he shared a special bond with. Paul was especially proud of his nephew, Ryan, who is currently serving in the United States Army. In addition, Paul is also survived by his Aunt Lillian Tamburrino and several cousins.
The Mattuccilli family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff of Niagara Hospice House for their continuous compassion and care during Paul’s final weeks.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 4 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 11:00 AM. Patricia E. "Pat" Wegerski

The eldest of ten, Patricia E. “Pat” (nee Patterson) (late Melvin) Wegerski, came into this world on July 11,1928 to the parents of Eleanor (Chew) and Percy Patterson, Sr. on the Tuscarora Nation to the Tuscarora Beaver Clan.  She lived the fullest of lives with the most positive outlook in all aspects of her nearly 94 years on this Earth.  Surrounded by loving family and friends during her transition to the next step of her journey, Pat passed on June 29, 2022.  
To know Pat, you would know that she was funny, kind, loving and the most social of butterflies.  Always adventurous, Pat was ready to go with friends and family on road trips, lunches, bingo, casino or just a visit on a porch.  It was no surprise to see her come home in one car only to jump into another, heading to her next adventure.  Humor and laughter were paramount in her daily life, and her illimitable generosity and thoughtfulness was felt by all.  She was known for her ever-ready smile to family and friends which led to many future friends.  Some of Pat’s other interests included sewing, beading and cooking while tending to her family.  
Pat is survived by her daughters Patti (Elden) Fischer and Sandi (Dennis) Swanson-Isaacs, twenty grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Also, siblings, Sarah (Tom) Kennedy, Kathleen Wheatley, Prisciela Williams, and Pete (late Deanna) Patterson and Great-Aunties Norma (Simon) Brascoupe and Ida Sealoff and many beloved nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sons, Vaughn Skye, Jeffery Skye, Milton “Cow” Jacobs, Gregory Jacobs, Leonard “Eska” Jacobs, and Robert “Bob” Jacobs; siblings, Beatrice (late Ollie) Best, Myron “Monk” Patterson, Chief Stuart (Doris) Patterson, Clara (late Lawrence) Fish and Norman (late Clara) Patterson and two grandchildren.

Angel Martinez, 74, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on June 3, 2022, in Palermo, Italy. Born in San Antonio, TX, he was the son of the late Pedro and Isabel (Garza) Martinez.
Angel was raised in San Antonio, TX. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on May 20, 1966 and was stationed at the Niagara Falls Air Base until his honorable discharge in 1969.
Angel married his beloved wife, Nancy J. (Bickford) Martinez on April 28, 1971 at St. Albert The Great Church. They lived in Niagara Falls and raised two sons together. Nancy predeceased him on October 2, 2021.
Angel was employed by the Niagara Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant as a supervisor for many years prior to his retirement. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. John De Lasalle Church, where he continued to work after his retirement. 
Angel was active in the community and a longtime volunteer of the Police Athletic League and a former Boy Scout Leader. He was also an avid bowler and loved to travel with his wife. Above all, Angel enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Isabel.
Angel is survived by his children, David Martinez and Adam Martinez; his granddaughter, Isabel “Izzy” Martinez; his siblings, Santos Martinez, Robert Martinez, Richard Martinez, Mike Martinez, David Martinez, Eddie Martinez, Roy Martinez, Paul Martinez, Vangie Palacios, Sylvia Teeters, Josie DeLuna and Elizabeth Jimenez; his special niece, Yvette Rocha; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was survived by four siblings, Blas Martinez, Pedro Martinez, Rudy Martinez and Margaret Martinez.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 20 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. David W. Ryals, 43, of Gasport, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Richard A. Ryals and the late Karen (Lepkosky) Ryals.
On July 20, 2013, David married Dawn M. (Stope) Ryals at Potter’s House Christian Community Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  David was employed for 8 years as a Butcher in the Meat Department at Sam’s Club in Niagara Falls.  A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and target shooting, and enjoyed collecting guns and knives.  Above all, he loved his family, and would spend as much time as possible with them with every chance he had.
In addition to his wife of 8 years and his father, David is survived by his children, Cassandra Ryals, Savannah Cook, and Kimberly Ryals; his grandson, Alexander Lee Cook; his siblings, Dawn M. (Thomas) Adamec, Joshua S. (Stephanie) Ryals, Scott A. (Tasha) Ryals, and Kari Anne Ryals; his half-brothers, Richard Ryals, Jr. and Jason Ryals, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celene Ann (DeFilipps) Scolase, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 after a brief illness.  She was 86.  She was born in Niagara Falls on September 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Francis S. and Caroline (DeFabio) DeFilipps. She attended local schools and then graduated from Buffalo State College with a bachelor’s degree in education.  Celene worked as a teacher in the Niagara Falls Board of Education at 79th Street School for over 30 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Scolase was a longtime member of St. John de LaSalle Church, was a member of the Niagara Falls Teachers Union, was an avid New York Yankees fan, loved bowling, and spending time at her summer cottage on Lake Ontario, but her greatest joy was her time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters: Melody (Dennis) Simpson of Niagara Falls and Melinda Scolase Grossman of Lewiston, three grandchildren: Julia Simpson, Celena (Haitham BinAbri) Grossman and Sasha Giannone and one great-grandson Jasper BinAbri.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Michael Scolase (1996) and her brother Frank DeFilipps.

Zebulske, Jr. A graduate and Class President of North Tonawanda H.S., Class of 1971. A 10-year veteran of the United States Army and worked 25 years as a drug, alcohol and mental health counselor. An avid reader, euchre player and loyal fan of all Buffalo sports teams and the Boston Red Sox.

Dale is survived by his wife, Linda (Smith) Zebulske; son of Beverly and the late Edward A. Zebulske, Jr.; brother of Rev. Terry (Faith), Jan (Mark) Parsons, Kim (David, DDS) Boyer, Laurie (David) VanLeeuwen, Todd and Edward (Jennifer); uncle of twenty nieces and nephews.

Dolores E. Marino, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis D. and Mary E. (Piela) Marino.
Dolores was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. She attended local schools and was graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She later received her Bachelor's Degree in education from the State University of New York at Buffalo and Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of Chicago. Dolores worked as a teacher and resource director for the Niagara Falls Board of Education, where she taught Latin, Spanish and German at North Junior and Niagara Falls High School. She served in various elected offices as a member of the Niagara Falls Teachers Retirees' Association, Niagara Women's Club, College Club and the NYSUT Retired Teachers Association.
A lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls, Dolores served St. Joseph's as a lector and a member of the Church's Finance Committee. As a dedicated volunteer on behalf of the Niagara Falls Public Library, Dolores was instrumental in generating over a half million dollars for the libraries located on Main Street and on Buffalo Avenue. Dolores was elected and re-elected as president of both the Niagara Falls Public Library Board of Directors and of Friends of the Niagara Falls Public Library. She was also a member of the Friends of the Local History Department at the library and board member of the three-county NIOGA Library System. She was also a member of the ISDA (Italian Son and Daughters of America) Power City Lodge.
In her leisure time, Dolores enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, tapestry and woodworking. She was a prolific reader and avid collector of a wide variety of books, thus serving as an inspirational model for her numerous nieces and nephews. Dolores will be greatly missed.
Dolores is survived by her three brothers and three sisters, Dr. John A.R. (Michelene) Marino of Lewiston, Joanne Marino McGreevy, Esq. of Carlisle, PA, Louis D. (Linda) Marino, Jr., of Rochester, NY, Richard J. (Barbara) Marino of Ransomville, NY, Lucia A. (Raymond) McGovern of Sanborn, NY, and Mary Jo (Joseph) Meli of Rochester, NY; four aunts, Dorothy Merino, Helen Ciesielski, Elaine Skotnicki and Paula Skotnicki; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

WILSON - Donald K. Beutel, age 72, of Wilson, died Thursday, September 8, 2011, unexpectedly. Born July 27, 1939, he was the son of the late William R. and Gladys E. Beutel. He attended St. Peter's Lutheran School and was a 1957 graduate of Wilson High School. Donald also had additional schooling at Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He worked for the Erie Barge Canal for 30 years as a Lock and Bridge Operator from which he retired. Donald repaired televisions and electronic devices and, along with his family, owned and operated Beutel Greenhouses. A former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, he was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church of which he was a Deacon. Donald was very instrumental in the addition of the front and back of the church. A former member of South Wilson Fire Company he loved people, plants, farming and greenhouses. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing and was the kindest, nicest man in the world. Donald married Ruth Martha Dobberstien in 1958; she predeceased him in February of 2007. Also predeceasing him was a grandson, Jason Hibbard in 1997. He married Sandra Irene Gregory July 12, 2008. Surviving him, besides Sandra, are William (Amy) Beutel of Newfane, Lori (William) Devine of Panama City, FL, Glenn (Joan) Beutel of Devener, CO, Lt. Col. Ret. Kenneth and Lt. Col. Ret. Debra Beutel of Staford, VA; step-children, Deborah (Raymond) Norris of East Amherst, Mary Lou (Daniel) O'Brien of Grand Island, Thomas (Suzanne) Dean of Ransomville, Kevin (Carey) Dean of Burbank, CA. September 18, 2013 Marianne Zipp Hofheins Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Wed Sep 18, 2013, 12:43 PM EDT WILLIAMSVILLE — Marianne Zipp Hofheins, of Williamsville, died on Saturday, September 7th, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 63. Born in Tonawanda, she graduated from Tonawanda High School in 1968. She received her BA in mathematics from SUNY Albany in 1973. She began a computer programming career in Buffalo at Computer Task Group (CTG) where she advanced to Technical Service Manager, providing help desk services and custom programming to business clients using CTG's Basic Four Minicomputers. In 1996, along with her husband, Marianne founded ProServe NY Corporation, a software firm specializing in enterprise software serving small to mid-sized businesses in Western New York. She retired in 2006 upon selling the company. Marianne was an avid tennis player, a frequent walker on our local bike trails, and an enthusiastic reader. She was well-known for her Scrabble parties through which she raised money for the Literacy Volunteers of America. In recent years, she enjoyed traveling with friends to Europe and Aruba. Survivors include her husband, George; a brother, Paul Zipp; nieces, Carrie Rinard and Sarah Hofheins; a nephew, Alan Rinard; and many friends. Arrangements by Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home. NORTH TONAWANDA — Warren J. Hildebrandt, age 89, of North Tonawanda, died on Sunday, September 9, 2012. A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late George W. and Elsie R. (Greinert) Hildebrandt. Mr. Hildebrandt retired as Plant Manager for Teledyne Corp. in North Tonawanda. He was a US army veteran of WW II, and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was also a member of Tonawandas' Post 264 American Legion, the Niagara Frontier Country Club in Youngstown, NY, the Kings Way Country Club in Lake Suzy, FL, and the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club in Punta Gorda, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Vera C. (nee Vigrass) Hildebrandt; and his niece, Pati Vacanti.

There will be no prior visitation. A private graveside service was held at St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery in North Tonawanda. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Arrangements by JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC.

(nee Proefrock) Pettit, age 91, of North Tonawanda, September 12, 2013 in Lakeside Nursing Home, Hamburg. Dorothy was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, generously donating her time to various groups. Dorothy was devoted to her family and very present in their lives. She was the wife of the late Jack Pettit, who died in 1982. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Angela (Jonni) Pettit, Joan (Bob) Walker, Susan Penfold, Brian (Ann) Pettit, Christine (Gary) Griffin and Kathleen (Peter) Bukowsky. Grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Ken lived a good life and took it one day at a time, focused on his family and career. He served his nation in the Air Force for 25 years. He grew up in Tonawanda and graduated from Tonawanda High School before his enlistment. Afterward he made a life for himself and his family in South West, MO. He was an active member of the VFW and retired as owner of the Monett Broadway Gas & Go. In his spare time he enjoyed restoring and maintaining classic hot rods, as well as spending time with his grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth J. Hartel, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Hartel of Tonawanda, NY; his brothers, Dennis Hartel of New York City and James Hartel of Franklin, NY; and one sister, Constance Skinner from Inwood, WV; children, Jacob Hartel, Gordon Hartel, Clifford Hartel, Joshua Hartel, Kenneth J. Hartel III, and Angela Hartel; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Bennett Wormington funeral home in Monett, MO on Thursday, September 12. TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Carol (Devereaux) Quintana, of the Town of Wheatfield and Bonita Springs, FL, died on Monday, September 12, 2011 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. She was 69. She was born in Lockport, NY, on December 24, 1941, the daughter of John Owen and Loriane (Schuler) Devereaux.

She attended Lockport schools and graduated from Starpoint Central High School. Mrs. Quintana was employed by General Motors, Harrison Radiator for 29 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the American Legion LaSalle Post 1142.

Mrs. Quintana is survived by her companion, Nicholas Vanamstel of Bonita Springs, FL; two daughters, Lisa Routhier (Steve) and Cynthia Salie (Barry), both of Niagara Falls; her sisters, Jackie (late John) Spedding, Jeanie Zastrow, Sally McAinch (late Ronald) all of Lockport; her beloved sister, Anne Speer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her brother, John Devereaux (David Wallace) of Winterhaven, FL; grandchildren, Tiffany and Josh Thorman of Niagara Falls, Stephany Routhier, Mitchell Fura of Niagara Falls; two great-grandchildren, Kurstin and Isabella Thorman; her loving cousins, the Brighams, Donna and John Slacziak and her family at the Sunshine Cafe'.

Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM in St. John de LaSalle R.C. NIAGARA FALLS — Leonard Gustin Lapp, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, husband of the late Jean (Pardee) Lapp, who passed away in 2005, died unexpectedly, on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his residence. Born on May 8, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late William and Anna (Boeldt) Lapp.

Mr. Lapp was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Len, as he was known by family and friends, attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. He served in the United States Navy from December 6, 1945 until his honorable discharge on November 13, 1947 with the rank of M/M Mate 3rd Class Petty Officer, serving on a Destroyer Escort, landing crafts and sea going tugs. Following a brief employment at Carborundum and Shredded Wheat, Mr. Lapp acquired permanent employment with the (IRC) Niagara Frontier Transit Co., serving thirty seven years, from 1948 until 1985. Len was active in junior bowling, men and women's bowling leagues for many years and was inducted into The Bowling Association Hall of Fame for his forty plus years of serving as secretary of his many leagues. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 1451. Mr. Lapp enjoyed going to the Seneca Niagara Casino.

Mr. Lapp is survived by two daughters, Virginia (Mike) McNamara and Barbara (Roger) Wojcik; four sons, Leonard (Sandy) Lapp, William (Margaret) Lapp, Douglas (Kathy) Lapp and Brian (Teresa) Lapp; two step-daughters, Penny (Steve) Maluchnik and Nancy (Bill) Guetta; and four step-sons, Ronald (Linda) White, Edward White, David (Tammy) White and Dale White. Len is also survived by thirty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by three step-sons, Ken White, Jeff White and Howard White; two brothers, John and Floyd and three sisters, Elsie, Emily and Mildred.

There will be no prior visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the family's wishes. Arrangements were entrusted to the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007).
