CITY OF TONAWANDA — Janet C. (nee Waterstrat) Suter, age 65, of the City of Tonawanda, on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Buffalo General Hospital. A lifelong resident of the Tonawanda's, she was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School and had been employed as a Sterile Processing Technician at DeGraff Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years. Janet was also an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Walter G. Suter; two sons, Matthew (Cindy) Suter of North Tonawanda and Kevin (Lynn) Suter of Bartow, FL; and three grandsons, Jacob, Dylan and Sean; her sister, Joyce (Daniel) Kolbe of Chicago, IL; and her cousin, Jean of Amherst.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM on Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St. in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. A private burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. "Bob" Urtel, age 86, of North Tonawanda, September 13, 2013 in Northgate Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. Bob was very proud of his service to his country. He served in the Navy Air Force for two years following WWII, flying patrol over the Gulf of Mexico. During these years he says he learned more than he ever did in life. Bob contracted multiple sclerosis while still in the Navy in 1946. He retired from General Motors in 1974 after 27 years of service. Bob had been an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Tonawanda Sportsman's Club and was an avid outdoorsman. He was also a member of the MS Society and the American Legion Post #1451. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Simmons) Urtel for over 62 years. Dear father of Nancy Meyerhofer and David (Kelly) Urtel, all of North Tonawanda. Grandfather of Michael Meyerhofer, Lindsay (Timothy) Bozek and Leah Urtel; great-grandfather of Lillian and Valerie Bozek. Brother of Harold Urtel of Middleport, Helen Bye of Newfane, and the late Lawrence Urtel, Russell Urtel, Delilah Grabowski and Hazel Walker; uncle of many nieces and nephews. SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT — Sharon N. Wright (Neumann), age 66, formerly of North Tonawanda, died, suddenly, on September 13, 2011, in her home in South Burlington, VT. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Neumann.

A resident of North Tonawanda for over 60 years, she was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and an active, founding member of the Twin City Community Outreach Food Pantry and Clothes Closet programs.

Beloved mother of Kristin Wright (Jeffrey Berkowitz), Amy (David) Wright-Parra and Joseph (Lynn) Wright. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren, Emma, Jerry and William Berkowitz, and Annabelle and Samuel Wright. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of the late Rodney (Joan) Neumann, Dale (Fran) Neumann and Paulette (Rick) Bennett.

A service will be held on Saturday, September 17th, at 11:00 AM, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 1208 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda. No prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of American (MSAA) at www.msassociation.org.

Born in Tonawanda, NY to the late Richard J. and Whilamenna (Kohler) Garrity, he was a lifelong resident of the City of Tonawanda, and was the husband of Jessie A. (nee Ross) Garrity, who died in August of 2012. Thomas was a US Navy Veteran of WW II. He had been employed as a letter carrier for the City of Tonawanda for over 20 years, retiring in 1982. Thomas was a 60 plus-year member of Union Hook & Ladder Co. # 1, a member of the Tonawanda Historical Society, and a longtime member of Tonawanda United Methodist Church. He was also an avid golfer and and active bowler. He is survived by one daughter, Letetia (Mark) Dahlquist of Grand Island, NY; three grandchildren, Thomas (Grace) Dahlquist, James Dahlquist, and Nancy Dahlquist; one great-grandson, Henry Thomas Dahlquist; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James, Richard, Margaret, Charles, Gladys, John, William, Catherine, Joseph, Robert, Elizabeth, and Etta. LOCKPORT — Malcolm E. "Bose" Goodman, age 91, of Newfane, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Facility in Lockport, after a lengthy illness.

Bose was born March 3, 1921 in Lewiston, the son of the late Erwin and Florence (Schultz) Goodman and was a lifelong resident of Newfane. A veteran of WW II, he served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service from 1942 until his honorable discharge as a Fireman 1 C in 1945. On October 19, 1946, Bose married Betty Jane (Oliphant) Goodman at St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge. Betty Jane predeceased him on May 28, 2010.

From 1957 to 1972, Bose owned and operated Goodman's Amoco in Newfane. He also co-managed Betty Jane's Cottages with his wife. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge.

He is survived by three sons, Douglas Goodman of Port Townsend, WA, Stephen (Susan) Goodman and Gerald "Ed" (Rebecca) Goodman, both of Newfane; his grandchildren, Sara (Cliff) LaPort, Jennifer Edgar, Emily, Laura and Ellen Goodman, Natalie (Joshua) Verheyn and Gloria (Bart) Langendorfer; his great-grandchildren, Lucas and Nicholas LaPort, Nyx Verheyn and Duane Langendorfer; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Reedy and Janet Schultz; and a brother, Gordon Goodman.

NIAGARA FALLS — Leonard C. Sisler, Sr., 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at his residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice, surrounded by his family and friends. Born on June 23, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Helen (Turner) Sisler. On February 15, 1964, he married the former Mona Eddy of Niagara Falls NY.

Mr. Sisler was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. Leonard worked for Union Carbide and retired from Tulip Corporation in 2007. He was a former member of Frontier Volunteer Fire Company and Cataract Camping Association. Mr. Sisler enjoyed going to Roses Sons Bar, camping, hunting and above all, spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mr. Sisler is survived by three children, John (Diane) Sisler, Tammy (Randy) Seelbinder and Skip (Julie) Sisler, all of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Justina Seelbinder, Michael (Elizabeth Garvey) Seelbinder and Sean, Patrick and Samuel Sisler, all of Niagara Falls, NY; three sisters, Dolores (Wib) Swick of Decatur, IL, Jill Nickles Graves and Linda (Butch) Cracknell, both of Niagara Falls, NY; and one brother, Tom (Sharon) Sisler of Niagara Falls NY. Leonard is also survived by three brothers-in-law, Spencer (Doris) Eddy, Melvin (Nancy) Eddy and Lex (Sally) Eddy, all of Niagara Falls, NY; one cherished family friend who was like a daughter, Mindy Myers of Niagara Falls, NY; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Jane Marshall; brothers-in-law, Charles Nickles and Richard Graves.

Mr. Sisler graciously donated his body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical gift program. The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 4-7 PM in the Chapel of the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007), where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM, with Rev. NIAGARA FALLS — Mary L. (Spencer) Adams, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was 73. She was born in Bradford, PA on March 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary Spencer.

Mrs. Adams moved to Niagara Falls as a child and attended local schools. She married Gordon Adams in 1963, and they were happily married for almost 50 years until her passing.

She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses on River Road. She enjoyed word puzzles and her time with her family and friends, and loved her visits to the Kingdom Hall.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Cheryl (Darryl) Kroening of Bergholz, Linda Garland of North Tonawanda, Jeri Garland of Niagara Falls, David Garland of Buffalo, Mary K. Geschwender, Janie Hickok and Kelly Adams, all of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by her siblings, Gail Luick, Raye Holka; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Joyce (late Bill) Mayne.

James Cronshaw, age 88, of Venice, FL, formerly of Newfane, NY, passed away on September 15, 2013. He was born on September 8, 1925 in Accrington, England.
Jim went into an apprenticeship at the age of 14 and retired from Harrison Radiator Division, GMC in 1982 as a skilled tinsmith. He enjoyed fishing, camping, wrought iron work and loved to travel the world with his late wife, Betty, who passed away in 1994.
He is survived by his two children, Desne Wills of Venice, Lance Cronshaw of Newfane, NY; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Dorothy Hass. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Adrienne Finley.

He enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball. In his spare time, he like to go boating and lift weights. He worked for the United States Post Office in North Tonawanda, Seneca Niagara Casino in long term valet, and The Buffalo Launch Club. He belonged to the Third Warders Social Club. Doug is survived by his parents Herven J. and Patty (Krzeminski) Vaillancourt, Jr.; brother of Pamela, Sarah, and Herven S. Vaillancourt; grandson of Phyllis (the late Stanley) Krzeminski and Shirley (the late Richard) Antonucci; loving uncle of Braxton Vaillancourt, Benjamin Burgasser, Mila, and Myla Vaillancourt. SANBORN — Dorothy Jean Danielewicz, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on September 13, 2012, at the age of 71. She was peacefully surrounded by her loving husband, Flevie, of 40 years and adoring children. Jean was an extraordinary woman of strong faith and values who lived a humble life, which was devoted to nurturing her four children and working a family farm.

Starting from meager beginnings, Jean and Flevie worked hard on a small homestead farm in Sanborn before moving their operation to Wilson, NY, where they established one of the largest dairy farms in Western New York. Jean also enjoyed gardening, catalog shopping, practicing her faith and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed not only by her family, but by all those who called her mother.

Jean is survived by her husband, Flevie Danielewicz; devoted mother of Louise(Chad) Brachmann, Jason Danielewicz, Renee (Brian) Farrell and Christopher Danielewicz; loving grandmother of Olivia, Gavin, Jack, Sophia and Morgan; dear daughter of Viola Stahl; devoted sister of Norma Rehwaldt, late Robert Stahl, Charles and Arnold Stahl. The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the caring and supportive individuals at Niagara Hospice. Thank you for keeping our mother comfortable and at peace.

LOCKPORT — Ernest Charles Forth, 81 of Lockport, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2012 at Niagara Hospice surrounded by family.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy on board the USS New Jersey BB-62, in Turret 1 and was honorably discharged in July of 1954 as a Petty Officer, 2nd Class. Ernie served many years as an advocate for Heritage Christian Services.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert P. Forth; mother, Ida (Schultz) Forth; brothers, Carl, LeGrand, Herbert, Jr., Paul, Edward; and sister, Janet (Forth) Grosskopf. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Carol (Goodman) Forth; daughters, LouAnne Rehkopf (David), Cindy Forth, Brenda Bercier (Gary) and Lisa Forth; four grandchildren, Vicki Lyngstad (Karl), Christopher Rehkopf, Jeremy Bercier (Larissa), Angela Bercier; four great-grandchildren, Devion Bercier, Jacob Bild, Mason Lyngstad and Alexa Lockhart.

LANCASTER — George A. Longley, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011, in the Greenfield Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on July 12, 1926, a son of the late Austin and Dollie (Collins) Longley.

Mr. Longley attended Stella Niagara and later graduated from Niagara University. He served with the US Army during World War II. Mr. Longley was a Sgt. Major with US Army Reserves at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base, before retiring in 1991. He was a member of several military organizations and enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Longley was the husband of the late Jessie M. (Main) Longley, who died in November of 2007.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Violette (George) Janofsky of East Aurora; also four nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of his family. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to the Niagara University Scholarship Fund.

LEWISTON — Howard Richard “Dickie” Barrand, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Pekin, NY, he was the son of the late William and Maude (Roberts) Barrand.

Dickie, as he was known to everyone, was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. He married Mary (Puia) Barrand at Epiphany Episcopal Church in Niagara Falls, NY on August 19, 1949. Mrs. Barrand predeceased him on February 11, 2001. He was employed as a truck driver at Spina Construction and later at Sevenson, and retired after 40 years of service. Dickie was very devoted to his church and in his leisure time he enjoyed hunting.

Mr. Barrand is survived by his caring daughters, Rose Marie Barrand and Barbara Barrand, both of Niagara Falls, NY; his sister, Geraldine (Jack) Rogers of Austin, TX; his brother, Robert (Gail) Barrand of Pekin, NY; and was Poppy to his adored dogs, Mini Spitfire and Peanut. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, William (Ruth of North Tonawanda, NY) Barrand, Jr. and Gordon Barrand.

LOCKPORT — Deborah A. Gaskill, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at home, after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. Deborah was born on January 28, 1951 in Lockport, NY. She was the daughter of Frederick and the late Marie (Hebeler) Rankie.

Deborah was a graduate of DeSales Catholic High School in 1968 and D'Youville College in 1972. She was a member of the Lockport Community Cable Commission, Cold Springs Cemetery Association, Barge Canal Optimist Club, Town of Lockport Republican Committee and a past chairman of the Town of Lockport Republican Committee. She retired from the Niagara County Water District, was a former Town of Lockport Deputy Town Clerk, council member for eight years, Deputy Supervisor for two years and a member of the Town Recreation Commission for 31 years. She was honored by the Niagara County Federation of Republican Women as a "Woman of Distinction" and in 2010, the Town of Lockport Day Road Park soccer fields were dedicated as the "Gaskill Soccer Fields" in her honor.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kenneth R. Gaskill; sons, K. Zachary (Elizabeth) and Evan C. (Luciana); grandmother of Leah, Ellie and Lucy and another granddaughter arriving in November; stepmother, Martha Rankie; aunt, Patricia (late Robert) Nodine; uncle, Clyde (late Virginia) Rankie; brother-in-law, Richard (Pam) Gaskill; sisters-in-law, Doris (Lloyd) Dent, Linda Schultz and Marjorie Loupret; also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and stepsisters.

LOCKPORT — Robert E. Degnan passed away September 20, 2013. Born in Lockport on December 14, 1925, he was the son of John and Irene (Spedding) Degnan. Robert served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946 on the USS Wilkes-Barre during WW II. He worked for Gambino Ford where he was an auto technician for 40 years, retiring in 1987. Robert was a member of the Elks Lodge, Screwball Club, UAW and Lockport Rugby Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura (World) Degnan and son, Thomas John Degnan.

Robert is survived by his sons, Robert J. (Susan) Degnan of Barker and James H. Degnan of Lockport; grandfather of Tommy (Megan) Degnan of Madison, WI; great-grandfather of Dylan A. Degnan; brother of the late John and Ralph Degnan.

LOCKPORT — Bernard W. Zapp passed away, unexpectedly, September 20, 2011 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born August 23, 1925 in Lockport, he was the son of John and Frances (Moran) Zapp. Bernard served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1946 on the USS Lacerta, where he was a radio operator. Upon returning from service he went to work and retired from Harrison Radiator, Div. of G.M. Bernard was a member of the VFW Post 2535 and enjoyed visiting family and friends, hunting, fishing, camping and sports. He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Spade) Zapp on October 7, 2003; and his son, Timothy Zapp on July 9, 2011.

Bernard is survived by his two sons, Terry (Fukumi) Zapp of Arizona and Michael (Christine) Zapp of Lockport; father-in-law of Karen Zapp of Newfane; brother of Jean (late Richard) Brauer and the late John Zapp, Harold Zapp and Rosemary Glena; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

NEWFANE — Leonard G. Enderby, of Lockport, husband of Fontina Pipiles Enderby, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane. He was born in Newfane on February 13, 1925. Leonard married Fontina in 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy. Leonard was a contractor for Glenby Construction, a family owned and operated business. Son of the late Glenn Enderby and Minnie Schultz Enderby.

Father of Glenn (Lisa) Enderby of Penfield, NY and Alice Bottom of Burt, NY. Grandfather of Christopher and Ryan Enderby. He was predeceased by Dorothy Livermore, Marion Hiller, Richard and Kenneth Enderby, Norma Hills and several nieces and nephews.

SEATTLE, WA — Edward Richard Dobrasz was born June 4, 1929 to Alexander and Rosalia Dobrasz in Niagara Falls, NY. He joined the Army in 1946, was sent to Alaska (Wrangell, Adak & Petersburg) as part of the Army Communication System (ACS) as a teletype operator. He met and fell in love with Clara Johanna Odegaard. They were married on August 12, 1950, at Petersburg Lutheran Church.

Ed and Clara made their home in Petersburg along with their three children Paul, Rhoda and Joel until 1958, when they were transferred to Seattle. Other travels for Ed's military family included Taiwan, Germany and France before Ed retired from the Army in 1967. Ed then went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad until full retirement. After 53 years of marriage, Clara, the love of his life, died in 2003.

Ed rekindled an old friendship with Florence Danielewicz, from childhood days in Niagara Falls, NY, and they were married in May of 2008, and lived in Seattle until his death after a battle with cancer.

Ed was a Life member of the Sons of Norway, a member of Petersburg Elks Lodge 1615, and the VFW. He had a big soft heart for people, animals and his family. We will miss his humor, smiles and hugs.

Proceeded in death by son, E. Joel; wife, Clara; grandson, Matthew and brother, Richard.

Survived by sister, Val Stepien; brother, Alex(Barbara) Dobrasz; sister, Mary Jane (Bill) Whaley; brother-in-law, Gordon (Joanne) Odegaard; son, Paul (Karen) Dobrasz; daughter, Rhoda (Wendel) Gilbert; daughter-in-law, Gail Dobrasz; grandchildren, Rosie (Michael Riley), Nick Gilbert, Megan Dobrasz, Mike (Christin) Kamm, Jeff Kamm; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Joan Coolen Kolloff, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the age of 84. She was born on May 19, 1929 in New York City.
Joan worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City before she married her husband, Richard Paul Kolloff in 1952, and moved to Lewiston, NY. After retiring to Cape Coral, FL in 1989, she volunteered at Cape Coral Hospital for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, and had visited places all over the world.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Paul Kolloff; their sons, James Kolloff of Lake Mary, FL and Glenn Kolloff of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Ashleigh Hart of Clermont, FL and Courtney Kolloff of Syracuse, NY; and three sisters, Ethel Brauneiss and Marion Coolen of Staten Island, NY, and Helen Coolen of Cleveland, OH.

NIAGARA FALLS — Ruth M. (Pettit) Lonneville, longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013, after a brief illness. She was 78. She was born in Gloversville, NY on July 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Orville and Violet (Mulholland) Pettit. She moved to Niagara Falls as a child and attended local schools, including Pacific Avenue and LaSalle Jr./Sr. High School.

Mrs. Lonneville married Julius P. Lonneville in 1953 in Niagara Falls, and they remained happily married for 57 years until his passing in 2010. She worked for many years in various local hotels before working as the Head of Housekeeping in the Quality Inn, in Niagara Falls, for 10 years until her retirement. She enjoyed bingo and doing crossword puzzles and ceramics.

She is survived by three children, Linda (late Ron Weston) Lonneville, Keith (Rhonda) Lonneville and Kevin Lonneville, all of Niagara Falls; three grandchildren, Jason (Dana) Bucelato, Brian Lonneville, and Jacob Lonneville. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Mariana and Julian Bucelato; step-great-grandchild, Anthony Tweed and special friend, Darcy Linton and her daughters, Tacy and Jamie. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Ann Lonneville (1956); her stepfather, Peter Becker and three sisters, Joyce D'Angelo, Dina Wooten and Violet (late Leon) Lonneville.

Hurtgam Rites Held In Cambria Church
Services Conducted In English And German For 86 Year old
North Ridge Sept 23 - Services for Charles Hurtgam, 86, who died at his home on the Frog Hollow road, town of Cambria, Sunday, were held on Tuesday at the home and later to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran church, of which he was member. The Rev. Carl W. Oldach, the pastor, officiated. Services were to both German and English. The choir sang "I'm But a Stranger Here, Heaven Is My Home," and "Jerusalem, Thou City Fair." The bearers, all neighbors, were Charles Hillman Jr., Fred Behrens, Chester Demmin, John Demmin, W. Ransom Peterson and Julius Seefeldt. Burial was to St Peter's Lutheran cemetery. Mr. Hurtgam is survived by his widow, Mrs. Augusta Hurtgam, eight children, 13 grand-children, and one great-grandchild.

YOUNGSTOWN — Russell Bars Stephenson, age 94, of Youngstown, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness. Russell was born on June 16, 1917 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Lawrence and Doris (Bars) Stephenson.

He was the last remaining alumni of the 1935 graduating class of Youngstown High School. Recently, he was recognized as the resident who has resided in Youngstown for the longest period of time. He was honored, along with several other long-time residents, with a ride in a special carriage in the Labor Day Parade. He was very proud of this honor and a few years ago he was asked to make a video of his memories in Youngstown, and how he viewed the Village through his many years there.

“Steve”, to all those who knew and loved him, previously owned and operated Old Orchard Beach Campgrounds, a seafood business and a cleaning business. He also had worked for a dairy, and for 40 years was employed by E.I. DuPont Co., in Niagara Falls, until his retirement in 1979 as a Dept. Supervisor. He was a man of many talents and an extremely hard worker. It kept him young, he often said. He was a member of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. and an Exempt Member. Many will remember him for the wonderful fruits, vegetables and flowers he and his late wife, Helen, grew and sold at their produce stand in front of their home on Lockport St. He was very proud of his gardens and tended to them even at the age of 94.

He was predeceased by his lovely wife of 64 years, Helen (Jeffords) Stephenson in 2005. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Kaye (Ian) Kerr of Winnipeg, Canada; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Clark) Jester of Florida; his grandchildren, Tina (Thomas) Oddy of Youngstown, Kim Leabo of Texas, James Stephenson II of New Jersey and Stephen (Melanie) Stephenson of Florida; his great-grandchildren, Kailee and Candace Leabo of Texas, James, Karissa and Karalyn Oddy of Youngstown, Kaitlin, Olivia, Hannah, Victoria and Austin Stephenson of Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, James Stephenson; a sister, Effie Werner; and several nephews.

SANBORN — Helen Miller Smith, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at the Clare Bridge Cottage, in the Town of Wheatfield, NY. She was born in the Town of Wheatfield, on April 5, 1919.

Mrs. Smith graduated from North Tonawanda High School. She was employed at the Montgomery Wards Store in Lockport for 37 years and retired as the inventory control manager in 1983. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ since 1936, the Sanborn-Wheatfield Senior and Friendship Club and the Sanborn American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards.

Mrs. Smith was the wife of the late Wilfred L. Smith, who died in 2011 and the late Marvin E. Miller, who died in 1972. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley M. (late Roy) Richardson of Sanborn, NY; a step-daughter, Darlene (Fred) Forsythe of Coudersport, PA; five grandsons, Guy (Diana) Richardson, Bryan (Karen) Richardson, Kent (Christine) Richardson, Jake and Joseph Forsythe; two brothers, William Lavery and Kenneth (Dolly) Lavery; one sister, Eileen (Donald) Burke; also seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews. NEWFANE — Eleanor Mae Canfield, 94, passed away peacefully at Newfane Rehab Health Care Center on September 19, 2013, after a brief stay.

She was a lifelong resident of Wilson, born April 25, 1919, daughter of the late Frederick and Edith (Mudge) Shoultz. She attended local schools and married Arthur Canfield, who preceded her in death January 5, 1983. Also preceding her in death were brothers, Clarence "Pete" Shoultz and Clifford Shoultz; sisters, Francis Doherty and Corinne McGovern.

Surviving her are two nephews, Thomas (Kay) Doherty of Kalamazoo, MI and Peter (Michelle) Toenniessen of Albion, NY; two nieces, Jeanette (Tony) Pullano of E. Rochester, NY and Molly MacIntyre of Vero Beach, FL. Eleanor is survived by several great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

She loved life, was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining. To most she was known as "Big Momma". Above all, Eleanor was the most devoted Yankee fan in Wilson.

NIAGARA FALLS — George W. Frost, age 87, formerly of Calkins Rd., Youngstown, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 in the Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls, NY.

George was born May 15, 1925 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, the son of the late E. Russell and Winifred (Watson) Frost. After his graduation from LaSalle High School in 1943, he entered the U.S. Army and served with General George Patton's Third Army, 80th Infantry Division, as an infantryman and as a field lineman, running communications wire. A recipient of three Purple Hearts, George was wounded in action three times during the Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy and Rhineland campaigns. One of his Purple Hearts was from the Battle of the Bulge and was personally pinned on him by General Patton. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class on October 18, 1945. George completed his education and graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelor's degree in social work. For 30 years he was employed by Niagara County Department of Social Services, retiring as a Supervisor/Case Manager. He and his first wife, Josephine C. (Johnson), had lived in Youngstown since 1956. Josephine predeceased him in 1993. In 1995 he married Norma (Wesel) Frost and they moved to Clifton Springs, NY. George returned here after Norma's passing in 2011.

He was a member and Past Commander of V.F.W. Lake Ontario Post #313 in Youngstown. George was also very active in politics, serving on the local and county Democratic Committees.

He is survived by his children, Susan L. (Phillip) Internicola of Amherst, Deborah (Timothy) Lozo of Atlanta, GA, Amy L. (Paul) Incorvaia of Youngstown, and Alan G. (Debra) Frost of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Frey and Patricia Berry.

Betty Hare passed away on August 9, 2013, seven weeks shy of age 92. She was born on October 1, 1921 in Middleport, NY.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Waves, being discharged in 1945. She was a General Motors employee for six years, until marrying her husband, Henry Hare (deceased), who retired from the U.S. Air Force. Betty was the religious education director for the base chaplain at Lockbourne AFB in Columbus, OH. She was a Red Cross volunteer for 10 years. She also served on the Glendale Library Board for 10 years. Betty was a past President of the Glendale Women's Club and an active member since 1979. She has been in the Order of the Eastern Star since 1953. She was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her brother, John Dutcher of Eugene, OR; and her son, Tracy Hare of Phoenix, AZ.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on October 1, 2013, her birthday, at 10:00 AM in the retirement home where she lived and was loved, The Montecito, 17291 N. 87th Ave., Peoria, AZ 85382. Doris is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph; her cherished daughter, Donna; great-grandson, Jason; her brother and sister-in-law, Art "Sonny" and Louise Shamrock; and her parents, Arthur and Esther Shamrock. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Vince Pearson; her grandchildren, David (Cindy) Pearson, Scott (Christine) Madole, Jennifer Madole, Deanna (Kirk) Vincent; great-grandchildren, Meagan, Justin, Nicholas, Matthew, Nathan, Nick, John and James; great-great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Aviana; nephew, Mike (Joan) Shamrock; and great-nephew, Michael (Amanda) Shamrock.

Doris was born in and lived nearly her entire life in North Tonawanda. She moved to the Rochester area two years ago to be near family. Doris was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, and many people who knew Doris will remember her from her days at The Sample Department Store on Payne Avenue, where she worked for 20 years.

With an amazing sense of humor, quick wit and kind heart, Doris could talk to anyone, anywhere at any time and place. She would often fondly recall stories from her days working at the Wurlitzer Factory on Niagara Falls Boulevard and Poppy sales with her girlfriends during World War II. She was a joy and inspiration to her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Born on January 6, 1924 in Ridgeway, NY, she was the daughter of Floyd and Marjorie Potter Woodroe. Mrs. Bates was as an Elementary School Teacher and taught at Charlotte Cross for 25 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Niagara Chapter of NYS Retired Teachers, Lockport College Women's Club and the Family Relations Group.

Predeceased by husbands, Robert E. Bates in 1988 and Crosby Steel, Sr. in 1961 and brother, Ross Woodroe, she is survived by her children, Crosby (Ruth) Steel, Jr., Susan Nelson, Debralyn (Thomas) Muscato, Randolph (Karen) Steel, Robert (Karen) Bates, Donna (Ron) Medlin and Judy (Barney) Raysor; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and her brother, Milford Woodroe.

LEWISTON — George T. Faery, age 91, of Ransomville, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, after a long illness.

George was born March 8, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Fred and Grace (Magorian) Faery and was a lifelong resident of the Town of Cambria. He was the owner and operator of Faery Greenhouses in Ransomville for many years until his retirement. George married Lorraine E. (Grauer) Faery on October 31, 1942. Lorraine predeceased him on August 18, 2003.

George was a communicant of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Ransomville. He was a member of the Niagara County Farm Bureau, the National Grape Co-op, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. George loved going elk hunting out west. He enjoyed woodworking and socializing, but most of all enjoyed being with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas A. (Barbara) Faery, Jack E. (Deborah) Faery, Douglas G. (Diane) Faery, all of Ransomville, and Fred J. (Sharon) Faery of Wilson; his daughters, Muriel G. (Larry) Brawn of Anderson, SC and Shirley M. (David) Benton of Wilson; his siblings, Marie Goodman and Jim (Edith) Faery, both of Wilson, and Theresa Melcher of Lewiston; a daughter-in-law, Ann Faery; 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, William P. Faery and a sister, Ellen Diez.

LOCKPORT — Ralph "Doug" Hotaling, of Lockport, husband of the late Donna Dugan Hotaling, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Niagara Hospice House. Doug was born in Lockport, NY on November 26 1935. Son of the late Robert and Mabel Kenyon Hotaling.

Doug retired from Harrison Radiator. He loved RC airplanes, engines, motorcycling, sailing and enjoyed watching Formula One Racing. Doug built and flew an ultra light airplane with his brother-in- law, Tom Reeson. He had an insatiable desire to learn, know and understand everything he could.

Father of Mark (Jill) Hotaling of Gasport, NY, Kyle (Gary) Simmons of Medina, NY, Chad Gorham of Alabama, and the late Scott (Colleen Upton) Hotaling. Brother of Jeanne (Joe) Petrillo of North Chili, NY, Sue Sullivan of Lockport, NY, and Fran (Tom) Reeson of Lockport. Doug had eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Rick, as he was known by family and friends, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, where he attended schools. He worked as a glazier for various companies.

Rick is survived by his wife, Karen Briscall; one sister, Tammy (Duffy) Johnston of Youngstown, NY; one brother, Kevin (Nikki) Briscall of Cape Coral, FL; one nephew, Joe Perre of San Diego, CA; two nieces, Whitney Perre of Ft. TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Beulah DeLelio, resident of the Town of Wheatfield for 65 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2011. She was 89 years old. She was born in Howell, Michigan, on January 10, 1922, the daughter of Ambrose and Rachel (Tribett) Laughlin.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Joseph P. DeLelio; and daughter, Joanne Lum. She is survived by her loving family, Kathleen and Charles Curione of Sanborn, Valerie and James Bielmeier of Williamsville, Joseph and Deborah DeLelio of Sanborn, Tamara Parsons of Waymart, PA; and son-in-law, Daniel Lum of Niagara Falls. She is the grandmother of Lorene Dillon, Daniel Lum, Amy Volpe, Gina Curione, Lisa Struzik, Charles Curione, Jr., Joshua Parsons, Christopher Bielmeier, Sara Parsons, Joseph DeLelio III, Nicole DeLelio, Rachael Bielmeier, and Jenna Parsons and the great-grandmother of Amanda Dillon, Kevin Dillon, Shawn Struzik, Jillian Lum, Vienna Volpe , Aaron Struzik, Jeffrey Volpe, Brielle Lum, Eva Volpe, Zachary Struzik and Alivia Volpe. She is also survived by brothers, David (Esther) Laughlin of Wheaton, Illinois, Velzie (Helen) Laughlin of Lockport and Ronald (Candy) Laughlin of Tonawanda; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, June Schulz; and brother, Daniel Laughlin.

She was a graduate of LaSalle High School. She was employed by Bell Aerospace during World War II. She owned and operated the River Breeze Motel on River Road, Town of Wheatfield for 25 years. She worked at Sears at the Summit Mall and the Beacon Book Store. She was a Foster Grandparent for the HANCI Program for 18 years and 12 of those years were spent at Niagara Children ETC on Lockport Road, Niagara Falls. She was a devoted Christian and member of the Church of the Nazarene in Niagara Falls and Sanborn, where she sang in the choir for many years. She enjoyed her family, reading, crocheting and planting flowers. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker and will be sadly missed by her family.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at The Chapel at CrossPoint, 500 CrossPoint Parkway, Getzville on Friday, September 30th at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Chapel. Arrangements by Lombardo Funeral Home.

MURFREESBORO, TN — Gloria Ann Kutz, 65, of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of the Town of Wheatfield, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, after a brief illness.

The former Gloria Milleville was the daughter of the late Philip and Lorina Stoelting Milleville and grew up on the family farm on Cayuga Drive Extension in Wheatfield. She attended Lutheran schools in Bergholz and Niagara Wheatfield High School, where she graduated in 1965. She attended cosmetology school in Buffalo and operated her own beauty salon, "Gloria's Hair Fashions" for several years before her marriage in 1974 to Gerald Kutz, who died in 1985. She lived in the Kutz home in Pendleton until she moved to Tennessee over ten years ago.

Mrs. Kutz was a NASCAR and car racing enthusiast, an avid Buffalo Bills fan and an antiques collector. Besides her beauty salon, she worked as a teacher's aide for Orleans/Niagara BOCES and a school bus driver for Starpoint Central School District. In Tennessee, she was a clerical employee at medical centers until her retirement. She was loved for her friendliness, sense of humor and outgoing personality, and made many close friends both here and in Tennessee. She was a supportive, compassionate mother, grandmother and friend who never hesitated to help when needed. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Kutz is survived by two children, Tricia (Doug) Papke of Pendleton and Steven (Rebecca) Kutz of Michigan, and four grandchildren; her companion, Ken Adams of Murfreesboro, TN, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Roy.

Visiting hours for the family are set for 9 AM to Noon Saturday, September 29, at St. James Lutheran Church on Niagara Road in Bergholz, with a memorial service at Noon. NORTH TONAWANDA — John Baronich, Sr., 82, of North Tonawanda passed away on September 27, 2012, with his family surrounding him at Niagara Hospice House.

After his 1949 graduation from North Tonawanda High School, he joined the Army and served in the Korean War earning the Korean Service Medal and the United States Service Medal. He earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Buffalo in 1957, Masters Segree in 1960, 2nd Masters Degree from Buffalo State College in Educational Administration in 1968, and his permanent certificate in School District and Supervision from Brockport State College in 1974.

In his early career he taught physical education and science at all levels at Lewiston Porter and North Tonawanda schools. Throughout his career at both schools, he coached swimming and produced All American varsity swimmers and divers and coached Lewiston Porters cross-country NYS State championship team. In North Tonawanda, he served as Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and wanting to end his educational career involved directly with students, he retired as Assistant Secondary Principal in 1985.

John served his community as Director of Memorial Pool for over 20 years, Director of Family Swim Program, North Tonawanda Athletic Scholarship Committees, past Vice Commander and lifetime member of Stephen Sikora American Legion Post #1322 and Little Valley Cattaraugus American Legion Post #531. He was also a proud member of Third Ward Athletic Club where he enjoyed participating in the NYS Senior Volleyball Championship with his team, the Good Guys. John also proudly served and was a member of the Gratwick Athletic Club, North Tonawanda Football Hall of Fame Committee, NYS Teachers Retirement System, Little Valley VFW #8734, Amvets, Cattaraugus Fire Company, Dom Polski Social Club, and NYSSA Snow Bounders Snowmobile Club. He was also a Niagara County special deputy for the State of New York and an Eagle Scout.

John was happiest at his chalet surrounded by family and friends. He loved to feed the fish, chipmunks and birds, make his own maple syrup, hunt, snowmobile, and was a true lumberjack as he forested his own land. He remained athletic throughout his life and is known for his gentle, kind demeanor. He touched many lives with his gentle guidance as a teacher, coach, mentor, friend, father and grandfather. His was a true family man.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Stephanie (Capuson); and his three sons, John (Shelly), Dale (Debbie), and Joseph (Ronda). He is the loving grandfather of Michael, Alyssa, Emily, Maxx, Mitchell, Cody and Joey. He was the son of John and Mary (Gurba) Baronich; loving brother of the late Steve (Dolores), late Carl, Dorothy (late Donald) Schubert, Robert (Jo Ann), late Paul (Marion); and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Saturday, September 29th and Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 3-8 PM at Colucci Funeral Home 652 Oliver Street North Tonawanda, (692-4917). Stephen Sikora American Legion Post will have a service at 7:00 PM on Sunday. Carl R. Becken, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at his home. He was born in the Town of Cambria on December 10, 1924, the son of the late Charles and Alma (Kruger) Becken.
Mr. Becken served with the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a welder at Simonds Saw & Steel in Lockport for 28 years and then with Niagara Specialty Metals in Akron for over 14 years. Mr. Becken owned and operated his family farm. He enjoyed going to the Clinton-Bailey Market, to sell his grapes and was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Mr. Becken was the husband of 67 years to the late Gertrude M. (Eckert) Becken, who died in April of this year. He is survived by three sons, Ronald C. (Elaine) Becken of Sanborn, Richard C. (Diane) Becken of the Town of Wheatfield and Randy C. (Denise) Becken of Sanborn; one daughter, Cheryl L. (Gerald) Wilburn of Cottondale, AL; one sister, Jean Walck. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Becken was the brother of the late Ervin, Harold and Chester Becken and Violet Steingasser.

Mrs. Ziblut attended local schools and worked at Bell Aircraft during World War II. She later worked at the Carborundum Co. for 29 years as a press operator. She loved to travel to spend time with her family and enjoyed crocheting.
Mrs. Ziblut was predeceased by her husband, Stanley F. Ziblut, who passed away on January 1, 1982. She is survived by her children, MaryAnn (Emil) Ciccoretti of Pinehurst, NC, Patricia (Ronald) Kauffman of Ashburn, VA, John (Elizabeth) Ziblut of Southport, NC and Stanley (Barbara) Ziblut of Oshkosh, WI. ROCHESTER — Mr. Joseph J. LaSpada, Sr. (Tomato Joe, The Jock), formerly of Medina, died Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Unity Health System, Rochester.

Mr. LaSpada was born in Lockport, September 16, 1928, a son of the late Salvatore and Annie (Phillipina) LaSpada. On March 1, 1951, he married Mary Alice Seiler at St. Joseph's Church in DeRidder, LA. He served with the US Army from 1950-52, and after his discharge he returned to Lockport where they resided for a couple of years. He operated a farm in Jeddo during the 1950s and 60s, and moved to Medina in 1971. He was employed by Harrison Radiator Division of GMC, in the stock room, for 30 years.

He was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church and attended daily mass following his retirement. A member of the United Auto Workers, Local 686, he was an avid gardener, enjoyed bowling and loved racing with his son and grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice; three daughters, Diane (Charles) Hage, Debbie LaSpada and Kathy (Darren) Mahoney of Spencerport; a daughter-in-law, Debra S. LaSpada; eight grandchildren, Joe LaSpada III; Chad, Jason, Ryan and Lindsay Hage; Kristina LaSpada; Kevin and Sean Mahoney; a great-grandchild, Kelsey Joe LaSpada; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph J. "Smokin Joe" LaSpada, Jr. on Jan. 29, 2007; four brothers, Tony, Sam, Frank and Tom and sisters, Josephine DeCarlo, Rose LaSpada and Katie Spencer.

Friends may call on Monday (6-9) at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11AM, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish/St. Mary's Church, 211 Eagle St., Medina. Interment will be in Millville Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by members of Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion. NIAGARA FALLS — Thelma A. Owler, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY, following a brief illness. Born on November 25, 1924 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Braeunlich) Owler.

Thelma was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. She worked as a Nurse's Aide for the former DeVeaux Manor. Thelma was also employed as a Home Health Care Aide. In her younger years, she served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was a member of the Women Over 60 group, at Niagara Towers and the Golden Age Club. She enjoyed crafts and painting.

Thelma is survived by nieces and nephews, Donald (Suzanne) Larrabee of Youngstown, NY, William (Nancy) Owler of Quakertown, PA, Garrett (Ruth) Owler of Manchester, MO, Eileen (Mel) Meinheit of Peotone, IL, and Thomas Bonneau of Sloatsburg, NY; and many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, William (Ethel of Youngstown, NY) Owler; two sisters, Mildred (late Howard) Larrabee and Ruth Bonneau Fenical and two nieces, Carole (late Jay) VanOrman and Barbara (late Robert) Jackson.

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Raymond T. Cary, age 83, of the Town of Wheatfield, died on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, to the late Arlington and Sarah (Woodland) Cary, he was the husband of the late Dolores (Sample) Cary. Mr. Cary retired in 1994 as Vice President of Marketing for Columbus McKinnon Corp. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Tonawanda where he sang in the church choir. He was also a member of St. Christopher's Church Solace Choir, All Saints Church Choir, and the Tonawanda Lodge F & AM. Raymond was also a member of the Clearwater Community Band and the Dunedin Concert Band, both in Florida, and for over 50 years had been a member of the award winning American Legion Band of the Tonawanda's..

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Marie A. (nee Bacon) Cary-Giuseppetti; seven children, Jean (John) Kearney of Parma, ID, Thomas (Diane) Cary of Concord, CA, Lynn (Daniel) Cundiff of Naples, FL, Diane (Tony) Alexander of North Miami Beach, FL, Eugene (Cindy) Giuseppetti of the Town of Wheatfield, Sharon (David) Noker of North Tonawanda, and Mary Giuseppetti of Great Bend, NY; and nine grandchildren, Daniel, Kyle, Craig, and Todd Cary, Daniel and Steven Cundiff, and Sarah, Robert A., and Robert W. Giuseppetti. He was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn (late Theron) Miller and Betty Jane (late C. Edward) Flack.

Family will be present on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC. 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in the City of Tonawanda. Beverly Mary Imbert, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away in the loving arms of her family on September 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Stricker) Burns.
Beverly attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1949. She married her devoted husband, Carl A. Imbert on June 17, 1950 at the former St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Church in Niagara Falls, NY. She was employed at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as a switchboard operator until her retirement in 1979 after 10 years of service. As a devout Catholic, prayer was part of Beverly's everyday life. She was a longtime member of the former Sacred Heart Church and a former member with the Mothers Club of St. Teresa's Church School both located in Niagara Falls, NY.
Mrs. Imbert will be remembered for being an excellent cook and baker. She took great pride in baking for her family, friends and local organizations throughout the area. In her leisure time, she enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, reading and corresponding with her family and friends via e-mail. She also enjoyed to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. Beverly had a great interest in current politics and was a faithful contributor to the Wounded Warrior Project. Above all, Beverly treasured spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandsons.
In addition to her loving husband of 63 years, Carl A. Imbert; she is survived by her three children, Colleen (Anthony) Cuccaro of Grand Island, NY, Rhonda (Neil Gruppo) Muto of the Town of Niagara and Paul (Mindy Patton) Imbert of Kenmore, NY; three grandchildren, Vincent (Mary) Nicoletti of Grand Island, NY, Victor (Krissy) Muto of Lewiston, NY and Laura (Shaun) Bielec of Niagara Falls, NY; two great-grandchildren Jackson Nicoletti and Dylan Thomas Bielec; one sister, Veronica (late James) Morgan of Waterville, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She is also survived by many dear friends and neighbors. Mrs. Imbert was predeceased by her sisters, Geraldine (late Ben) Hill, Shirley Wienke, Barbara Burns; and her brothers, Eugene (late Margaret) (late Ann) Burns, Thomas (late Lydia) Burns and Roger Burns.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the third-floor nursing team at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home and to Niagara Hospice for the devoted care and compassion given to Beverly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Tall (Molisani) announce her passing at the Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the age of 83. Born June 13, 1930 in Lockport. She was the youngest of 14 children born to James and Loretta Molisani who emigrated from Italy. On May 12, 1951, she married Raymond Edward Tall.
Mary was a hard working woman who worked many years at Ames Department Store and Super Duper. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making food for everyone. Mary loved Harley Davidsons and enjoyed riding back in the late 1940's. In her later years, Mary enjoyed making beautiful quilts for her family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; and son, John. She is survived by three children, Ray (Alfie), Linda, and Ron (Carol); ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Louis, Carly, Johnny; and also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, September 6th from 3:00-6:30 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will immediately follow at 6:30 PM. Interment will be on Saturday, September 7th at 10 AM in Wrights Corners Cemetery. She was the loving wife and best friend of Richard Frasier, Sr. for 55 years; beloved mother of Richard (Cindy) Frasier, Jr. of Tonawanda, Cindy (Keith) Merkling of Buffalo, Jeffrey Frasier, Sr. of North Tonawanda and Tammy (Paul) Kaczmarek of Tonawanda; and her brother, Robert Ziehm of Niagara Falls. Also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation.
