She worked as a nurses aide at Untied Church Colony Nursing Home in Gasport, NY. For many years after she retired, she drove bus for Ridge Road Express. Hobbies were spending time with family and friends, riding her motorcycle, and taking walks.
Survived by her children, Rick E. Bedford of Wilson, NY, Lori (John) Buffington of Appleton ,NY; grandchildren, Amber (Dan) Wilson, Brandon Bedford, Jason Buffingtion, Ann Buffingtion; great-grandson, Daniel Wilson, Jr.; and her beloved loved dog, Bridgette.

24103 Shauna Lynn Dougherty, 52, of Panama City, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016. She was born on September 7, 1963 in San Bernardino, CA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Ward, her mother, Shirley May Campbell, step-father, Jack Campbell; and a sister, Bobbie Jean. She is survived by her husband, Joel Dougherty; two sons, Michael Shepherd, Joseph Shepherd; daughter, Lacey Lynn Dougherty; two brothers, Lloyd Caldwell, Jr. (Randi), Howard Campbell; sister, Toni Croteau (Jeffrey); aunt, Norma Meeder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3 PM in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Panama City, FL, with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1-3 PM prior to the service. Missionary to Papua, New Guinea.
Louise Schwenkbeck Kuder, age 94, died Thursday, March 1, 2001 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Town of Porter, New York, she was the daughter of the late Jakob Schwenkbeck and Margaret Hosbach. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1922 and worked at E.I. Dupont in Niagara Falls, New York. In 1928 she married the Rev. John H. F. Kuder who was a Lutheran pastor in Hanover, Ontario. They were missionaries in Papua, New Guinea from 1934 until their retirement in 1974. Louise is preceded in death by her husband; and sister Marie Schwenkbeck. She is survived by sons, John (Iris) of Lewiston, New York, Paul (Edna) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, James (Susan) of Fanwood, New Jersey; daughter, Maryanne (John) Friend of Plain City, Ohio; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. Friends may call Monday, March 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Weir-Arend Funeral Home, 4221 North High Street (3 blocks south of Henderson Road). Rita is survived by her sisters, Jane (James) Ostrander of Clarence, Zita Rosenberg and Sally Flechsenhaar, both of Lockport and predeceased by her brother, William (late Jane) Kelley and sister, Mary Theresa Salisbury. 24118 Sheila A. (Alcuri) Raymond, 78 of Wheatfield, NY passed away on September 18, 2017 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Bertha (Dionisio) Alcuri.
Sheila was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools.  In her younger years, Sheila worked as a waitress at the former Bit-O-Paris Restaurant, and later went on to work for twelve years at the Salvation Army both located in Niagara Falls.  In her leisure time, Sheila enjoyed ceramics and crafts, playing cards, the casino and baking.  She was a passionate Buffalo Bill fan and also enjoyed her involvement with HANCI.
 Sheila was predeceased by her husband Daniel Raymond in 1992.  She is survived by two sisters, Louise (Joseph) Mauro and Patricia (Louis) Sciarrino both of Wheatfield, NY, 16 nieces and nephews, as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, cousins and her dear friend, Jean Basiak.  She was also predeceased by two sisters and one brother, Jacqueline (late Mario) Matarese, Leo (late Barbara) Alcuri and Dawn Duncan.

24123 Shelli E. (Osowski) Young, 53, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on October 5, 2024, one day shy of her 54th birthday, with her family by her side at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of Eugene and Diane (Barrand) Osowski.
Shelli graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School. She was an animal lover through and through, and worked in animal care and grooming, at Pet-I-Care for 16 years and for her own business, Doggone Clean, also for 10 years. Shelli loved music, and especially liked going to see her favorite 80’s bands in concerts.  She also enjoyed riding motorcycles and painting ceramics in her younger years and loved cows and the color purple. Known as the life of the party, Shelli was always ready for something fun. Above all, Shelli was an amazing friend and even more amazing mom to her two children and baba to her granddaughter, who she loved with all of her heart.
In addition to her parents, Shelli is survived by her two children, Samantha M. Young (Shane) and Cody J. Young; brothers, Troy (Kristina) Osowski and Chad Osowski (Jen); a granddaughter, Camille Diane Young, her ex-husband, James Young, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Shelvie attended local schools. She was widow of the late Chester S. Bailor, who predeceased her in 1974. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit, and her passion completing Jigsaw puzzles, above all, she loved being with her family her grandchildren and great- grandchildren
Shelvie is survived by her children, Richard Bailor, Sandra Bailor, she was predeceased by her son James (Mary) Bailor cherished grandmother of Kimberly, Michelle, Jamie and Alydia Bailor; great-grandmother of Haylee, Kaitlyn, Savannah and Brooke.  Devoted sister of Judith (John)  Habiuck,  Gaylord Davis,  Lonnie Davis,  Merrill Davis, she was predeceased by other brothers and sisters.

She was retired as a supervisor from Oldham Saw after several years. Sharon loved to crochet for her family and charities. She enjoyed spending her time doing puzzles, crosswords and coloring. Most of all, she loved time with her family whom she loved dearly. 24126 Sheri Lynn Conjerti passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17 with her husband and daughter by her side. Sheri was 63 and is survived by her husband, Frank, her daughter Jennifer Adams (Clyde), sons Stephen (Erica) and Frank (Katie), daughter Andrea (Tanya), and seven grandchildren Max, Lily, Enzo, Leo, Kennedy, Penelope, and Elliott.
Born at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD on March 26, 1959 to Stephen and Penny Cuzzacrea. She would spend the majority of her life in Lockport, NY and attend Newfane schools—where she would meet her lifelong “bestie” Kim Dillabough. Sheri was the love of Frank’s life and his partner in running their moving business for over 40 years. But ultimately, her passion was her family. Not only by raising her four children, but caring for her two brothers, Steve and Mike (Julie), throughout their childhood and beyond. Later, “Gumma” would make sure her grandchildren were smothered with love and always well-fed.
Sheri was happiest on annual family trips to Schroon Lake with her dad and step-mother Pat, hosting the holidays, and, of course, hitting the jackpot on the Seneca Allegheny slot machines. An avid sports fan, she loved cheering on the Michigan State Spartans, Jim Kelly-led Bills, and her father and son’s favorite Cleveland Browns.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday December 20, 2022 from 3-7PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee St. Lockport. Born June 11, 1970 in Niagara Falls, NT she is the daughter of Richard (Christine) Geltz and Beverly (Westmoreland) Geltz. Sheri enjoyed being in nature, going on walks, kyaking, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Besides her parents Sheri is also survived by her daughter Faith Dwyer; siblings Richard (Anna) Geltz, Kevin (Brenda) Geltz, Paul (Erin) Saunders, and Jennifer Geltz; close friend Peter Barret; former husband Todd Dwyer; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, and dear friends.

Sherron is survived by her children, Kimberly (John) Kurzdorfer, Robert (Arleta) Sharples and William Sharples. She was a very loving grandmother of five grandchildren and great-grandmother of three. She is survived by one sister, Shirley Glica; one brother, Kenneth Scott; and several nieces and nephews. 
Sherron enjoyed gardening, needlework; was very involved with the Boy Scouts and the many activities with her children and grandchildren over the years. She was also a former member of the Eastern Star.

24130 Sherry A. Dugan, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 14, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Marjorie L. (Sherry) Fisher.
Sherry was a 1954 graduate of the former LaSalle Sr. High School.  As a teenager, she worked at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital as an Aide.  On May 14, 1955, she married Jerald T. Dugan at St. John deLaSalle Church.  Mr. Dugan predeceased her on December 21, 1991.  After her marriage, she was employed with Bell Telephone and worked as a receptionist at Boniello-Anton-Conti & Boniello Law Firm for over 20 years.  She also worked as a Greeter at the Niagara Falls Wal Mart after her children were grown. 
Sherry enjoyed singing and playing the piano and organ, knitting and crocheting blankets, rugs, and placemats, word search puzzles, and baking her famous Banana and Chocolate Wacky Cakes for her children’s birthdays.  Sherry played hymns at St. Leo’s Church during masses for many years, and also enjoyed performing for residents of local nursing homes.

It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne F. Shiesley announces his passing. Wayne was the loving husband of the late Lynne S. Chiaramonte and amazing father of Nichole, Leah, Matthew, and the late Lynne Mary and Wayne Thomas. He was the only child of the late Wayne Z. and Mary S. Shiesley (nee Stevens); also survived by sister-in-law, Lucia Chiaramonte, brothers-in law, Thomas Chiaramonte and William Gersten and a niece and nephew and second father to Brian (Melinda) Mahon and Dean (Michelle) McClenathan. Born on November 24, 1950 in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Laura May (Tanner) Bane.
She graduated from Holley Central School in 1969 and attended Gram Junior College in Boston MA. Shirley was employed with the Federal Government in Virginia and that’s where she met and married her former husband Robert Edwards and together they raised two sons. She returned to the Western New York area and worked for various law firms in the area. Shirley enjoyed spending time reconnecting with her family, especially with her granddaughters.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Aaron (Danielle) Edwards of Lockport NY. Matthew (Zahra Ramdhany) Edwards of Alexandria VA; granddaughters, Mikhayla and Lexi; siblings, Loretta Lonnen of Waterport NY, Robert Bane of Lyndonville NY, Steven Smith of Churchville NY, Scott (Josephine) Smith of Rock Hill SC, Chris (Barb) Smith of Churchville NY and Eric (Janice ) Smith of Spencerport NY. Also survived are many nieces and nephews.

24137 Shirley Adell Powley passed away on Tuesday January 9, 2018, in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Jeddo, NY on October 8, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Emory and Adell (Robert) Breitsman.
Shirley worked as a beautician & hair dresser for 50 years and retired after running her own shop 25 years. She was very active in her Seventh Day Adventist church in Lockport where she was Secretary, Treasurer, Organist & played piano, lead the special music and taught the Sabbath School class for over 40 years. Stayed in contact with many of her Union Springs Academy alumni and went to Camp Meeting every year. Elroy & Shirley were members of the Olcott Yacht Club for 43 years, and along with the family became avid sailors and spending many summers in Olcott. She volunteered and delivered "Meals On Wheels" for over 40 years in Lockport. Tuesday Night Ladies league Horseshoes at Out waterpark lead her to attend the World Horseshoe Pitching Championships several times. Her Hobbies included Ceramics, Camping, Quilting as a member of the Lockport Quilting guild; she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy. Shirley was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Elroy "Red" Powley, married 65 years. Their children, Kent (Cathy) Powley, Reginald Powley, Shellie (Daniel) Hanley, and Brent Powley; grandmother of Paige Phillips, Justin Powley, Ryan Hanley and Jillian Hanley and great grandmother of six. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Shirley is predeceased by her sister Lorraine (late Les) Seefeldt.

Durow Jr. They were married July 16, 1955; two children, Candace (Stephen) Holtham, and Dean (Sandra) Durow; four grandchildren, Sarah (Mark) Napolitano, Andrew and Joshua Durow, and Chelsea (Mark) Doherty; great-grandchild, Carmine Napolitano; brother, Willis "Don" Batt, and sister, Patricia (Jack) Durante.

Shirley Jane Behm (nee Kumm), age 84, of North Tonawanda on January 31, 2015 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Shirley was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in North Tonawanda. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved her Facebook Friends and keeping up with current events. Shirley had a terrific sence of humor, a great debator, a great cook and a Die-Hard Democrat. QVC and the UPS Driver will miss her.

Shirley was a devoted wife of the late John Eugene Behm who predeceased her in 1992. Mother of the late David Behm. Sister of the late Edward “Junior” Kumm and Gloria Wilson.

A gracious lady, Shirley was a very active and successful gardener.  She took great pride in her beautiful gardens and her home.   She was a social butterfly, loved visiting with her friends and neighbors and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply. 
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (late Giacomo) Alessi of Niagara Falls; Pamela (Raymond) Gillis of the Town of Niagara; siblings, Alice Gilpatrick of North Dakota and Bernice (Elmer) Degenhart of Averill Park, NY; grandchildren, Lydia Truesdell; Laura (Kyle) Gleason; Nicholas D’Apollo and Alexandra Benedict; her son in law, Brian (Kathleen) Benedict; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The daughter of the late Paul A. Walck, mother of the late Bradley J. Lange and sister of the late Patricia Schearer, she was born in the Town of Niagara.
She was employed as a registered nurse at Fairchild Nursing Home, Lewiston. A graduate of LaSalle Senior High School and Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing, she was an active member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and held offices in the Lutheran Church Women's Group.
Mrs. Lange is survived by her husband, William G. Lange of Sanborn; her mother, Evelyn H. (Blank) Walck of Sanborn; a daughter, Kathleen M. Beutel of North Tonawanda; three sons, David P. Lange of Lockport, Steven W. Lange of Sanborn and Brian T. Lange of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Allen P. Walck of Niagara Falls; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was married to Robert Gustave Lindke on August 7, 1954. Robert died November 28, 2015. She was a lifelong active member of the Covenant United Church of Christ. Shirley enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was an avid Buffalo Sabres fan.

Surviving are her children: Douglas (Jacque) Lindke and Barbara Lindke. Grandmother of: Alexandra (Ian) and Matthew Lindke. Sister of the late: Stuart Gaskill. Sister-in-law of: Carol Hussey. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was retired from Degraff Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted Catholic ever strong in her faith. She was an endearing Wife, Mother, Nana, Sister and Aunt. She was witty and fun loving, known as our “Silver Fox”. Shirley treasured all the time she spent with her family and friend and enjoyed playing scrabble, reading books, and going to the casino. She was a lover of animals.

Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert L. Bronschidle; her mother Evelyn and father Louis Thompson; and stepfather Robert Williams; her brother Franklin Thompson; her sister Ellen Hankinson; and her Grandson Elliot Lizauckas.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; adoring sons Terry (Janet) Bronschidle and Timothy (Cira) Bronschidle; adoring daughters Tina (John) Phelps; Tami (Anthony) Stefanucci and Tracie (Robert) Hollar. In addition, her 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

24146 Shirley H. Elia, 89, of Wilson, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  She was born on December 6, 1928 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late James and Helen (Sedlak) Knize, both Czechoslovakian immigrants.
Shirley grew up in the Falls, where she attended Niagara Falls Senior High School, and graduated in 1946.  It was there she met her childhood sweetheart and eventual husband Arthur Elia, of The Albert Elia Building Company, which would later become Sevenson Environmental Services.  The two would marry on June 19, 1948, and they had four children; three sons, Laurence, Michael and Richard and one daughter, Christine.   Mr. Elia predeceased her on December 22, 2011 after 63 years of marriage.
Prior to her marriage, Shirley worked at Marine Midland Bank as a teller.  Upon marriage, she devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Nothing was more important to her than spending time with family.  Loyalty to her husband, family, and faith was the foundation of her life.
She was a lifetime member of St. Francis Guild of Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital.  Her favorite pastimes included gardening, knitting and crocheting, cooking, and traveling the world.
Shirley is survived by her children, Laurence A. (Christina) Elia, Michael A. (Karin) Elia, Richard A. (Christina) Elia, and Christine E. A graduate and life long resident of North Tonawanda, she went to work at Bell Aerospace during WWII followed by Wurlitzer Co, then Carborundum where she met and married Warren “Bud” Allen. Shirley also worked at her Dad’s store – Krueger’s Market – then Snackwagon and Sanborn Greenhouses. Shirley loved to travel and camp throughout North America, taking time to listen to songbirds serenading in the air, smelling the beautiful flowers, and admiring all of God’s creation. She belonged to many camping clubs, including NCHA, Ken-Ton-A-Wanderers, Coachman, and Winnebago. She also enjoyed an uplifting spiritual journey to the Holy Land. Shirley was the oldest lifelong member of St. Mark, being active in the Women’s Ministry, LWML, and the Quilters group. Her faith in the Lord was a role model for her 4 children and others alike. She loved to sing hymns, silly songs, and campfire favorites. In between travels, Shirley loved to watch her flowerbed gardens bloom all summer long and was a charter member of the Wheatfield Garden Club. She was also an active helper in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with her children, and helped 5 sons & grandsons achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Shirley is survived by a son, Gilbert Allen, daughter Kathy (Laird) Burkett, and son-in-law Robert McCall. Also 6 Grandchildren – Jennifer (Jason) Gallo, Daniel (Xue) Allen, Laird “Josh” (Liz) Burkett, Larry (Amanda) Burkett, Matthew (Julie) McCall, and Todd McCall. And her Great Grandchildren, who brought her great joy – Ethan, Emma, and Ella Gallo. Shirley is predeceased by her husband Warren “Bud” Allen, two children Rick Allen and Cheryl McCall, a granddaughter Laura Burkett, and brother James (Carol) Krueger. Visitation will be at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St, North Tonawanda on Saturday, November 28 from 9:00-11:00 with funeral service immediately following at 11:00. Masks required. 24150 Shirley Jean (Melcher) Page, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at home, while receiving care from Niagara Hospice.  She was 81.  She was born in Lockport, New York on May 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Merle and Marie (Boots) Melcher.  She attended Lockport schools. 
 
Mrs. Page worked for the former Water Wheel Restaurant as a cook, retiring 21 years ago. 
 
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Frank W. Page; a daughter, Lynn (late Nicholas) Bonghi of Niagara Falls; a son, Frank E. (Tisha) Page of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Haney; Danielle (Chris) Soro; Ashely Hutton; Alex Hutton; Nicole Page; three great grandchildren, Korben; Emily and Brielle; step grandchildren, Kristin; Eric; Richard; nine step great grandchildren; a brother, William Melcher of Rochester; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Page Soro and fourteen siblings.
