Taylor, 87, formerly of 712 Linwood Ave., died Sunday (March 27. 1960) at Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A native of Tawas, Mich., he had lived in this city for many years before moving to Lewiston to reside with a daughter. Mrs. Eric F. Tiegerman, 41 Kenwood Dr. He was employed at the Carborundum Co. for 40 years before his retirement in 1948. He was superintendent of the wheel department. Mr. Taylor was a vestryman for several years at Epiphany Episcopal Church and was a former treasurer. His wife, Mary Anna Taylor died in 1958. Surviving b e s i d e s Mrs. Tiegerman, are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth O. Gifford, Lewiston; a son, George E. Taylor, this city; a sister, Ella Taylor, Detroit, 'Mich; a brother, Charles O. Taylor, Land-O-Lakes, Wisc.; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Cobler's Funeral Home with the Rev. John E. Mark served in the US Army Air Corp. from 1943 to 1946 receiving the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, World War II Victory Medal, amongst several other medals. He worked for NY Telephone in Lockport for 42 years where he was a manager, retiring in 1986. Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Sally (Kelley) Flechsenhaar of Lockport, whom he married on November 22, 1958. He was the loving father of Terry (Judy) Flechsenhaar of San Diego, CA, Kelley (Scott) Carlson and Sarah (Dan) Finnerty, both of Lockport. Mark was the dear "Papa" of Jarrett, Tessa Mae, Cameron Flechsenhaar, Marissa, Zachary Finnerty and Jordan Carlson. He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard, Edward, Charles, John, William, Agnes Flechsenhaar and Anna Mae Penwright. 24206 | Son of Henry A. Seager (1854-1929) and Katharine Moneca Kilday (1859-1897). (His sister, Mary, is the third name on the gravestone.) In his early years he went by "Sam Seager" but later went by "Maurice Seager" He moved to Buffalo at the age of 13 along with his older sister Matie. He worked at the Pullman factory as an upholsterer then at the Erie Railroad as a carpenter on the bridges. He enlisted in the Army in World War I, was inducted at Belmont on 27 September 1917, promoted to Private First Class on 11 January 1918, promoted to Corporal on 9 July 1918. He served overseas from 27 May 1918 to 14 May 1919 in Battery B, 307th Field Artillery Regiment, 78th (Lightning) Division, 3rd Army Corps, participating in the St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne operations. He was wounded on 28 September 1918 at the Battle of St. Mihiel. He was honorably discharged 22 May 1919. At half past six in the evening of Dec. 9, 1909, Mr. Peter Lux passed peacefully away at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 10 days. Mr. Lux was one of the pioneers of this vicinity, having been born June 29, 1834, in the same home in which he died. Although he had been ill for some time, the end came rather suddenly. The deceased had many friends, being of a jovial disposition, ever ready to give words of cheer to the distressed and lend a helping hand to those in need. Truly it can be said of him he was a good neighbor. He leaves to mourn his loss three children, Emil and Mrs. Dennis Fernbach of Forks and Bertha at home. The funeral services were held at the Chapel, Mary Help of Christians, Monday, Dec. 13, Rev. Father Scherer officiating. Interment took place at the Chapel cemetery. The large attendance of relatives and friends, notwithstanding the inclement weather, testified to the love and esteem in which . the de - ceased was held. The deceased was a member of the Alsace and Loraine Benevolent Society of which, four of the leading members acted as honorable bearers, the active bearers being his grand-children, Edward and Albert Lux, Edward, John, Emil and Joseph Fernbach. Sondra attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On September 3, 1960, she married John W. Smith. Sondra enjoyed bowling and bocce and especially loved get togethers and outings spent with her family. In addition to her beloved husband of over fifty-five years, Sondra is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Cameron) Garcia of Littleton, CO and Kimberly (Jimmy) Vigue of Town of Niagara, NY; four grandchildren, Eric Vigue, Cecily Cotner, Zachary Vigue and Alec Cotner; three sisters, Nancy (late Edward) Stonebraker, Anita (Jerry) Miller and Thelma (Carl) Magno and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Albert Palmer and two sisters, Shirley Matthews and Betty Marlett. 24212 | SOOS, Coleman 87, a retired employee of NCR, died Nov. 22 at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, Fla.. He had Parkinson's and congestive heart failure. Mr. Soos came to the United States from his native Hungary in 1949 with two young daughters and a pregnant wife. He began his new life in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, working on a dairy farm. He came to this country with no money and speaking no English. After two years he moved his family to Dayton, where he worked at NCR until he retired. In Hungary, Mr. Soos was a skilled carpenter and cabinetmaker. In Dayton, he also worked part-time as a cabinetmaker in a small private shop. He attended night school to learn English and he became a proud U.S. citizen after five years. Mr. Soos was a long-time member of the Hungarian Evangelical Church on Troy Pike. His wife of 29 years, Gizella Soos, died in 1972. He was a loving husband and father working two jobs for many years to provide for his family. In the last three years, he delighted in being in Florida among his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his four children, Agnes Soos of Alexandria, Va.; Grace Harber of Rockledge, Fla.; C. John Soos of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Thomas Soos of Miami, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tim Harber of Merritt Island, Fla.; Terry Harber of Fort Myers, Fla.; and Anthony Soos and Katelyn Soos of Miami, Fla.; four great-grandchildren, Dalton Harber, Carston Harber, Bryson Harber, and Logan Coleman Harber, all of Florida; and his sister, Anna of Romania.
