of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sattelberg

The bride was dressed in a
beautiful gown of white satin
made in princess style and trimmed
with lace. She wore a
shoulder corsage of yellow tea
loses and baby breath.
Miss Norma Kelly, maid of honor,
wore piiilf mousseline de soie
and a shoulder corsage of pink
loses and baby breath.
Mr. Carlton Peters attended
Mr. Sattelberg as best man.
A wadding supper was served
for 50 guests with covers for 10
being laid at the bride's table.
A miniature bride and groom designated

Private funeral services for
John W. Buchhardt will be held
at 4:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon
in the chapel at White Chapel Me
mortal park on Niagara Falls boulevard,
near Bush's bridge.
Rev. Theodore Mayer of Frieden's
church, of which the deceased
was a member, will officiate.
Burial will be made in White
Chapel park.
Mr. Buchhardt, who was 31
years old and resided at 128 Rumbold
avenue, was drowned Sunday
afternoon in Lake Erie, off
Cleveland, O., when he fell overboard,
while on a cabin cruiser.
The body was recovered yesterday
morning at Cleveland and brought
to North Tonawanda late last
night.
Besides his wife, Winifred, and
a son, Warren, Mr. Buchhardt is
survived by his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. George Buchhardt and a sister,
Mrs. Norman Oelkers, all of
North Tonawanda.
His father is assistant fire chief
in North Tonawanda.

St. Peter's Evangelical Church in Lockport was the
scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday, August 9, when
Mary Catherine Boyer, daughter of Mr. Norman Boyer and
the late Mrs. Corine Boyer, became the bride of Robert W.
Schoelles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schoelles of Chestnut
Ridge, Lockport. The double ring ceremony was performed
by Reverend Herbert L. Siegner.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a gown combining
an ivory satin bodice, long
pointed sleeves and skirt of marquisette
over satin which fell in
a full length train. Her finger tip
veil was scalloped and caught
with orange blossoms. She carried
a colonial bouquet of white
roses and sweet peas.
The maid of honor, Miss Ann
Fitzsirrtmons of Tonawanda, was
gowned in aqua nylon taffeta with
tight bodice and full skirt. She
wore a short aqua scalloped veil.
Her colonial bouquet was of yellow
roses. Jean Wolgast. cousin
of the bride, was flower, girl. She
wore a yellow taffeta with off the
shoulder effect and a long full
skirt. She also wore a short yellow
veil scalloped and carried a small
colonial bouquet of aqua carnations.
The bridegroom was attended
by Kenneth Gray of Tonawanda.
The ushers were Mr. Norman
Boyer Jr. and Mr. Robert Foote
of Lockport.
The bride's grandmother wore a
black dress with a corsage of
white carnations. The bridegroom's
mother chose a print dress
with white accessories and a corsage
of white carnations.
A reception was held at the
home of Mr. Schoelles' parents
for the immediate families. For
traveling on an eastern motor
trip the bride wore a beige suit
with brown accessories and a corsage
of yellow rose buds. After
August 15, they will be at home
at 152 Erie street, Lockport, N. Y.

Czestochowa Church, Miss Helen Broniszewski, daughter
of Mrs. Bessie Broniszewski of 56 14th Ave., and Stanley
S. Kastelan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Kastelon of 764
Payne Ave., exchanged marriage vows. The Rev. Stephen
Kucharski officiated.
Miss Valentina Swierczynski
sang Ave Maria, The Rosary
and other selections accompanied
by Joseph Prelewicz at the organ.
Given in marriage by her
brother-in-law, Leonard Wokoske,
the bride wore a full skirted gar-
denia satin gown which termin-
ated in a cathedral length train.
The fitted bodice featured a bead-
ed illusion neckline and sleeves
edged with Chantillly lace which
came to points upon the wrists.
Rose appliques bordered the fin-
gertip veil of illusion which was
fastened to a crown of seed pearls
and rhinestones. The bridal bou-
quet of white roses, pompoms and
lilies of the valley was centered
with an orchid.
Mrs. Regina Myers, matron of
honor, was gowned in pink net and
lace. Her bouquet was of pink
roses and pompons.
The bridesmaids, iss Jean Tylus,
Miss Dorothy Cholewa, Miss
Martha Tomaszewski, Miss Peggy
Kwiatkowski and Miss Florence
Kijowski, wore pastel gowns similar
to that of the matron of honor.
They carried talisman roses and
pompoms.
Linda Adamek, niece of the
bride, was flower girl. She carried
a bouquet of roses which
matched her pink net and lace
gown. The ring bearer was Gerald
Ryan.
Stephen Myers attended the
bridegroom as best man. Ushers
were Walter Broniszewski, Alexander
Kastelan, Victor Ketch Jr.,
Nicholas Pukalo and Frank Buryta.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Broniszewski wore a black
and white ensemble. The bridegroom's
mother selected a navy
blue dress with white accesories.
Both wore orchid corsages.
Wedding bells and flowers decorated
Ukrainian Hall for the
wedding breakfast and reception
which followed the ceremony.
Among the 450 present were guests
from Ohio, Depew, Pennsylvania,
Chicago, Lackawanna, Buffalo, Niagara
Falls and the Tonawandas.

will take place this month.
Four tables of bridge were in
play following the luncheon, and
a favor was awarded to Miss Leona
Semon who presented it to the
bride-to-be. Miss Rech's place
was marked with a corsage bouquet
and she was the recipient of
many gifts.

place at 11 o'clock Wednesday
morning, August 15th, when Miss
Bernice Grace Rech, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles- A. Rech of
57 Elm wood Park became the bride
of Bernard Allyn Kain, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Kain of 96 Fordham
Drive, Buffalo. The marriage
took place at the new Saint Joseph's
Cathedral in Buffalo, with
Monsignor Charles EL Duffy officiating.
The bride wore a white crepe ensemble
with a small white transparent
velvet hat and carried an
arm bouquet of cala lilies.
Miss Mildred Kain, sister of the
groom, was maid of honor and wore
a yellow crepe ensemble with
brown transparent velvet hat and
carried an arm bouquet of Talisman,
roses.
Earl Wright of Buffalo was best
man and Donald Williams of Longs
avenue, and Walter Carroll of
North Tonawanda served as ush-
e r s.
Mrs, Lynn Keyes, harpist of Buffalo
and Earl Thompson, violinist,
of Lockport avenue, played incidental
music as well as the weddi
ing march.
Mrs. Rech, mother of the bride
wore a flowered chiffon ensemble
with brown silk hat and a shoulder
bouquet of gardenias. The
groom's mother was gowned in
beige lace with a cream lace hat
and shoulder bouquet of gardenias.
Following the ceremony, a wedd-
ing breakfast was. served to fifty
at the Park Lane. Guests were
seated at a T-shaped table, decorated
with a large bowl of roses
and delphinium and a wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Kain left for New
York and will embark on a West
Indies cruise today. The bride wore
a brown crepe ensemble with brown
felt hat as a going-away outfit.

skirt with chapel length train. Her
three-quarter length veil ef illusion
fell from a tiara of illusion
and the carried a spray of white
roses and white gladioli.
Attending her as maid of honor
was the bridegroom's titter Mist
Cora Brenon oi Detroit, who wore
a gown of orcH!d-pink satin. She
carried a spray of red roses and
white gladioli.

A. Brenon, Jt., brothers of the
bridegroom, attended as best man
and usher.
Mrs. Brenon selected a flowered
silk jersey with white accessories
and wore a corsage of yellow
roses
The wedding breakfast for the
bridal party was given in the
Brenon Home in Utica street at a
table covered with a linen cloth
and centered with a tiered wedding
cake. Garden flowers decorated
the home. Msgr. Weismantel
was a guest at the breakfast.
A reception was held in the eve*
ning. Guests were present from
Detroit, Fredoria and Buffalo.

Wein was a retired employee of
Spaulding Fiber. He is survived by

are several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late
Ann Elizabeth Wein and brother of

was tne scene of a quiet wedding when their daughter Marguerite
became the bride of 1st Sergeant Francis L. Beyette,
713th Military Police Battalion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest
Beyette of Morgan street. The ceremony was performed
by the Rev. Theodore Schroeder, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran
church, in the presence of the immediate families.
The bride wore a Victory-folua
wool suit with, black accessories,
and a corsage of gardenias. Miss
Cora Sahr was her sister's only
attendant, and wore a two piece
dress of black sheer with pink
trimming, black accessories, and
a gardenia corsage. Mr. Arthur
Wood, brother-in-law of the bride
was best man.
Immediately after the ceremony
a dinner was served at Lorenzo's

days at Chautauqua Lake and ere
now at noma in Schenectady
where Sgt. Beyette is stationed.

Frank E. Stahl Jr., well known resident of Tonawanda,
died suddenly last night at his home, 39 Hill place. He had
been in poor health.
Mr, Stahl attained prominence
in the industrial field as works
manager, formerly plant manager
for the Columbus-McKmnon
Chain company, with factories
in Tonawanda, Columbus, 0„ St.
Catherines, Ont„ and South Africa.
He became associated with the
company 25 years ago at the local
factory. The greater part of the
time he was employed by the company
he held responsible cositions,
Mr, Stahl became conspicuous as
an inventor of patents that helped
to place the Columbus McKinnon
Chain company in the front rank
of producers of all kinds of chains.
When the company decided to
locate a plant in South Africa
in 1935, Mr. Stahl took charge and
travelled to the dark continent by
plane and steamship on several occasions.
It was at the opening of operations
in South Africa that Mr.
Stahl, who had been appointed a
member of the Tonawanda Board
of Education by Mayor Christ S.
Warren in May of 1934, found it
necessary to resign. Attorney
Clark B. Bassett was appointed to
succeed him.
Mr, Stahl was a member of
Levant Lodge, F. & A. M., Buff
alo, the Eldredge Bicycle club and
the American Society, Mechanical
Engineers.
Born in the town of Amherst,
Mr. Stahl came to Tonawanda in
his early manhood and had resided
here since. He leaves a wife, Lily;
a son, Harold; a daughter, Mrs.
Edward Smith; parents, Mr, and
Mrs. Frank E. Stahl, Sr., all of the
Tonawandas; two sisters, Mrs. Edwin
Wolf, Buffalo, and Mrs.Fred
Luchterhand, Getzville, and four
brothers, Reuben and Otto, Tonawanda
and Elmer and Allen, Getzville.
Services will be held Wednesday
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the
Hllliard Funeral Home, 147 Delaware
street. The Rev. Theodore
Mayer will officiate.

Impressive services were conducted
at 3:30 o'clock yesterday
afternoon for Frank E. Stahl, Jr.,
39 Hill place, by the Rev. Theodore
Lehman of Kenmore, substituting
for the Rev, Theodore Mayer,
who was taken ill suddenly Tuesday
night. The funeral was conducted
at the Hilliard Funeral
Home, 147 Delaware street, and
WMI largely attended.
Burial was in Acacia Park, and
the following were the active bearers:
Donald Brisben, Albert
Ceatsworth, John Oswald, A. L.
McKinnon and Christ Metiloff,
Honorary bearers, numbering nearly
100, included officials of the
Columbus McKinnon Chain company
and other close business associates
and Intimate friends.
The company's plant in Tonawanda
closed to permit the employes
to attend the services.
Erie County Medical Examiner,
Charlea E, Long has issued a certificate
of death from carbon monoxide
poisoning due to artificial
gas in the death of Mr, Stahl.
Dr. Long issued the certificate after
a semple of the victim's blood
had bean analyzed

hand rolled scalloped veil. She car-
ried a Colonial bouquet of white
roses which she presented at the
altar of the Virgin Mary.
Miss Elaine Bajorek, maid of
honor for her sister, wore a bal-
lerina length gown of sheer white
nylon over pink, made on princess
lines with a full skirt.
The bridesmaids were Miss Syl-
via Bajorek, another sister of the
bride, and Miss Nancy Majorek,
the bride's cousin. They wore
white sheer nylon over blue. Miss
Jody Grabowski, the bridegroom's
niece, dressed like the maid of
honor, was junior bridesmaid. All
wore crowns to match the gowns
and carried Colonial bouquets of
pink and white carnations tied in
pink or blue.
Edward Lorence was the bride-
groom's best man. Fred Wisniew-
sky and Melvin Verall, a cousin
of the bridegroom, were ushers
and Thomas Bajorek, thebride's
brother, was a junior usher.
Mrs. Bajorek chose a brown
polka dotted sheer dress for her
daughter's wedding. At the recep-
tion she wore a blue lace dress
with matching accessories andn
a pink rose corsage.
A wedding breakfast served im-
mediately after the ceremony was
followed by a reception in the
American Legion Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Grabowski trav-
eled to the Pocono Mountains an d
Philadelphia, the bride wearing an
aqua linen suit and matching ac-
cessories. They are a home in 126
Third Ave.
