nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held October 12 at Acacia
Park and Rest Haven Gardens in North Tonawanda and
a memorial service was October 15 at the Martin Luther
Home in Clinton.

wedding anniversary June 15.
Mr. Wittcopp was born on Aug.
31, 1903; his wife was born May
24,1908. The couple were married
at Zion Lutheran Church in
Niagara Falls.
The Wittcopps have two
children, Kathryn Gentry of
Syracuse and the Rev. William
Wittcopp, a Lutheran minister in
the Rochester area.
The couple spent most of their
married life in Niagara Falls.
Mr. Wittcopp worked as a
chemical operator for the DuPont
company and Mrs. Wittcopp
worked for the Board of
Education in the Niagara
Wheatfield school system.
The couple came to Clinton in
September 1983, when they
moved into the Lutheran Home.
Mr. Wittcopp currently lives at
the Martin Luther Nursing Home
while Mrs; Wittcopp continues to
live at the Lutheran Home.

nephews.

today (Wednesday) at 11:30 a.m.
in North Tonawanda. Memorial
services will be Saturday at 11
a.m. at the Martin Luther
Home, 108 Utica Road.

Age 76, of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, November 18, 2019. Father of Kelly (James) Orsund and Brett (Heather) Sprenger; grandfather of Brett, Paris, Tristan and Sophie; son of the late Louis Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Mislin) Sprenger; brother of William (Mary Ann) Sprenger and the late Dorothy Tooke and Richard Braeges; and his faithful companions, Cane, Abel and Montana; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Louie was a 1961 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was a member of the Third Warders Club, Renaissance Club, Tonawanda Aquatic Center and Ashland Oil Retirees Club. Louie played baseball and softball in the Twin Cities for many years, coached Womens and Girls Travel Softball for 31 years, was a Hitting Instructor for Boys Little League Baseball and Girls Softball for over 15 years. He enjoyed playing poker with the boys, avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan, and Sabres season ticket holder for many years. Louie worked at the Erie County Fair in the 1960’s with the Buffalo Turners, putting on a Clown Diving demonstration. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 24th from 2-5 PM at JOHN O. 26460 Springfield, IL - Eleanor E. Haseley, 92, a lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 6:15 pm at her grandson’s home. She was born September 24, 1926 the daughter of Chris and Louise (Hartwig) DeYoung. She married Carl Haseley, Nov. 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death May 26, 1998. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julian Haseley, a daughter Cherie Tichacek and her son, Russell Haseley. Eleanor retired in 1987 from Franklin Life Insurance Co. She was a charter member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She devoted herself to raising her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Barbra (David) Speck of Springfield, her grandchildren: Ryan, Corrina, and Jason Haseley, Michael and Tim Speck, Jason and Eric Tichacek. There are many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. MARYVILLE, Mo. - Zella Mae Bomar Hilsenbeck, 93, of Maryville and formerly of the Whitesville, Mo., area passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Golden Living Center, Maryville.

Zella was born on April 28, 1918 in Fillmore, Mo., to Alva and Fleeta A. (Wright) Bomar. She and her husband farmed for 51 years south of Whitesville, Mo., before moving to Maryville in 1998.

On March 16, 1936, Zella was united in marriage to Elvin Bruce Hilsenbeck in Savannah, Mo. They spent 65 years together before his death in 2001.

Zella was also preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Lloyd Bomar, Lavella Rauch, and Melvin Bomar; and her son-in-law, Herb Roup.

Zella was a homemaker; she loved to quilt, crochet, and to cook for large groups on friends and farmhands. She was a former member of the Widowed Person Group of Maryville.

Zella dearly loved her kids, grandchildren, and was proud to be a fifth generation family.

Left to mourn her passing are her children: Barbara L. Roup, Cave Creek, Ariz.; Henry (Beverly) Hilsenbeck, Rea, Mo.; and Betty (John) Praisewater, Maryville, Mo.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; also numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, at the Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 21, at the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville.

SAVANNAH, Mo. - Edna May (Clary) Hilsenbeck, 92, Savannah, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Savannah.
She was born Aug. 6, 1914, at Savannah to the late Edward and Stella (Patterson) Clary.
Edna married John Hilsenbeck on Feb. 8, 1933, at Savannah. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1980.
A son, Charles Hilsenbeck; three brothers; two sisters and a great-great-grandson also preceded Edna in death.
Edna was engaged in farming for several years with her late husband. She also worked as an aide at La Verna Village Nursing Home and at the Golden Rule Store, Savannah. Edna was an Avon representative for 15 years.
She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed gardening, sewing and crafts.
Edna was a very loving person and very spunky.
Survivors: daughter, Melissa Grishow, Rea, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Frost, St. Joseph; sister, Mabel Smalley, State of Oregon; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: 2 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2007, at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah. Interment: at Fillmore, Mo., Cemetery. Public visitation: after 9 a.m. Monday; and the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.

She passed away September 14, 2020. He is the loving father of Susan H. (Michael) Stromberg and Larry J. (Susan) St. Cyr; cherished grandfather of Ashley (Nick) Ardino, Jordan Stromberg, Logan (Nicole) St. Cyr and Madison St. Cyr; adored Papa of Aubreyelle and Milana. He was a retiree of General Motors Lockport plant after more than 30 years of service. Sandra was a 1962 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield Central School and then received an Associated Degree from Bryant and Stratton in 1964. She married her beloved husband of 55 years, Larry F. St. Cyr, on June 5, 1965 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield. Sandra loved to go out to local restaurants, spend time with her children and play games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by everyone. She is the loving mother of Susan H. (Michael) Stromberg and Larry J. Mr. Duckwitz was born March 17, 1905 in the rural Bethlehem community, near Altamont, the son of George and Louise Milleville Duckwitz. He was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont. He was a former director of the Square Deal Milk Association, and was a retired farmer. He married Alma Bernahl in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 1930. She preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 1975. He married Lenore A. Grobengieser in the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altamont on Aug. 7, 1976.
Surviving are his wife; son, Lester and wife Betty of Altamont; sister, Mrs. Henry (Louise) Rettinger of St. Louis, MO.; grandchildren, Cheryl and James Duckwitz of Mattoon; David Duckwitz of St. Louis, MO.; Mrs. Jerry (Jayne) Edwards and Vicki Duckwitz, both of St. Elmo; Mike and Mark Duckwitz, both of Altamont; Todd Duckwitz of Sandoval; Mrs. Darrel (Tonya) Gressel of Mason; R.J. Teets of Altamont; seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, one son, Kenneth, daughter-in-law, Shirley, granddaughter, Marilyn Duckwitz, brothers, Martin, Edgar and George, and one sister, Eleanor Goers.

A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, she is preceded in death by husband Harvey, brother Wesley, and companion Roger Behm. She is survived by sister Winifred (late John) Grzebinski, sons Daniel Stahl and James Stahl (Cathy Knight), and daughter Rachel (Robert) Brennan. "Gram" will be greatly missed by grandchildren Edward Stahl, Vicki Mims, Joshua Stahl, Stephanie Brennan, and Nicole Keleher, and 9 great-grandchildren. 26480 Stanley Krajkowski Jr., 74, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at home, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on September 17, 1948 he was the son of the late Stanley and Genevieve (Gawrysiak) Krajkowski Sr. Stanley served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged. He worked for 30 years as the Senior Plant Operator at the City of Niagara Falls Water Plant, until his retirement. He was a member, a eucharistic minister and ran the bereavement programs at the former Sacred Heart Church and currently at Divine Mercy Parish. Radomski, a retired pipe fitter and welder, will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 3840 Macklem Ave. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston. Radomski, 72, died Saturday (April 20, 1996) in his home on Lewiston Road. He was born in this city and attended local schools. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and piloted a landing craft at Normandy on D-Day. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard before the war. Radomski worked at Vanadium Corp. for 13 years and at Union Carbide Corp. for 19 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Church. Radomski enjoyed fishing, hunting and walking. His wife, Concetta Grana Radomski, died in 1990.

26482 Stanley passed away at 99 years of age on Thursday August 4, 2016. He was born in Amsterdam, NY on March 23, 1917 the son of the late William and Stella (Stefanowski) Blonkowski. He married the former Lillian Groff on August 27, 1949, they were married for 53 years before she predeceased him on January 23, 2003. He is survived by his children; Kathryn (the late James) Berhalter, William and AnnMarie Blonkowski, Elizabeth and Thomas Marks. Ten grandchildren; Karen and Adin Bradley, Margaret Berhalter, Nicholas and Caroline Blonkowski, Thomas Blonkowski and Nicole Svajlenka, Peter Marks, Laura and Bradd Gower. Four great-grandchildren; Ava and Alexander Bradley and Charles and Quinn Blonkowski. He was the older brother of eight sisters; Loraine and Edward Sherman who survive him, the late Genevieve and John Kowalski, Mary and Raymond Nowak, Lota and John Bienacki, Frances and George Sahr, Dorothy Blonkowski, Helen and Matthew Dubaj, Delores and Adam Dubai and many nieces and nephews.


He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. that built the Hoover Dam, cleared the Alleghany Forest. He was a veteran of World War II attaining the rank of Captain. He served in the Army Air Corp as a navigator bombardier on a B-25 in the African and Italy invasions with the 9th Air Force. After the service he attended Erie County Technical School which became Erie County Community College. He graduated as a Mechanical Draftsman. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, a charter member of the Lockport Disabled Veterans Chapter 157, an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. Most of all he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather.

Even after retirement, he served as the interim Superintendent for the Maine Endwell School District and taught at Binghamton University and SUNY Cortland. He was an avid golfer and a 25 year member of the Binghamton Country Club. The family would like to thank the staff of Vestal Park Rehab and Nursing Center for their extraordinary care and kindness shown to Bill. NIAGARA FALLS - Mary Rose Steinbrenner, 101, a 97-year resident of Pierce Avenue and a resident of the Lockport Presbyterian Home since 1997, died Saturday (Dec. 8, 2001) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

A Niagara falls native, Miss Steinbrenner attended German church school, then enrolled in public schools, and was one of two students enrolled in the last Greek-language class at Niagara Falls High School.

She was a clerk for the Carborundum County, working in production planning and inventory control during her years with the Coated Abrasives Division, where she was respected for her cost-control skills.

In May 1962, she was honored with the annual Tony Clark Award, given to her by William H. Wendel, company president, for outstanding dedication and service for best exemplifying the spirit of Carborundum.

She retired in 1967 after 50 years of service.

In retirement, she gardened and enjoyed household chores, painting lawn furniture and shoveling snow into her 90s.

She enjoyed reading and discussing current events and debating politics.

Services will be held at noon Monday in the Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery, 763 Portage Road, Niagara Falls.

26498 Stella (Tracinski) Bartos, 97 years old, passed away on November 10, 2016 at Northgate Manor. She was born in Niagara Falls on November 10, 1919, the daughter of the late Casimer and Agnes (Barscz) Tracinski. She attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. Stella and her late husband, owned and operated Bartos' Esso Gas Station on Third Street for over 50 years where she was the bookkeeper. She also worked for the Board of Elections as a custodian who set up voting machines at polling places throughout the City of Niagara Falls. For many years she volunteered at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church and a current member of Divine Mercy Parish. Stella enjoyed crafting, sewing, attending Niagara University Basketball games and watching the New York Yankees, but her greatest enjoyment in life was caring for her family. Stella is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Theodore) Casamento of the Town of Niagara, Henrietta (Jack) Ingham of Niagara Falls and Kenneth (Linda) Bartos of Lewiston; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, M. Joseph Bartos; her brother, John Tracinski; and her sister, Genevieve Pils. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, where funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM on Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, corner of Niagara and 24th Streets with Rev. 26499 Stella Leffler, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away May 27, 2017 at Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda, New York.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Tedesco) Paradise.

Stella attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She married Ralph J. Leffler, Sr. who predeceased her on April 17, 1992.  Stella worked for over 20 years in the Audio Visual Department at the Earl W. Brydges Library in Niagara Falls, retiring in 2013.  She also worked with the Niagara Falls Board of Elections.  Stella was a longstanding member of St. Mary’s of the Cataract Church.  She enjoyed crocheting, baking, candy making, ceramics, and was an avid reader.
Stella is survived by her children, Diane (Terry) Ward, Ralph (Gretchen) Leffler, Denise (Dennis) Snuszka, Richard Leffler, James (Michelle) Leffler; seven grandchildren, Richard (Keli) York, Ronald (Terri) York, Ryan (Michelle) Leffler, Eric (Julie) Leffler, Nicholas Leffler, and Steven Leffler; eight great-grandchildren, Atticus and Alex York, Anna and Adam Leffler, Alexandria, Micah, Nicholas, and Sophia Leffler; one brother, Joseph (Eileen) Paradise, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband, Mrs. Leffler was predeceased by one grandson, Ryan Leffler, and 4 siblings, Julia (late Ernest), John (late Elsie) Paradise, Covey, Marie (late Frank) Borgese, and Gloria Wittkopp.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30th from  9 – 11 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where prayers will be conducted at 11:00 A.M followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. 26500 Stella M. (Bruno) Maietta, 83 of Youngstown, NY passed away on Sunday April 15, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.  Born June 2, 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late, Vincenzo ‘James’ and Palma (DiPaolo) Bruno.
Stella was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. On October 8, 1955, she married Joseph F. Maietta, Sr. in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Maietta predeceased her on December 6, 1980.  Stella worked in the Student Center at Niagara University until her retirement.  She was a long time and active member of ISDA Cataract Lodge #240 in Niagara Falls, and was instrumental in organizing activities for the lodge as well as trips for their travel club.  Stella was also a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society and especially enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. 
Mrs. Maietta is survived by her two children, Joseph F. (fiancé Michelle Braun) Maietta, and Lora (Russell) Daniels, her three grandchildren who she adored, Russell Daniels, Christopher Daniels and Alexis (fiancé Matt DiFrancesco) Maietta, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Angeline (late Sam) Marinello, Ann (late Louis) Badialli and one brother, Anthony Bruno.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph’s Church, 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY.  EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.
