She was the wife of the late Anton Putz. Mrs. Putz is survived by four sons, Joseph, Anthony, John and William Putz, all of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Elizabeth) Tooke of this city, Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Heiberger and Mrs. Joseph (Katherine) Kornacker, both of Chicago, 28 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9 a.m. from Pawenski Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Albert the Great Church. The Rev. Gerald J. Kreuzer will officiate. 26761 | NorthTonawanda NY Evening News - 9/9/1914 The St. Jacob's church at Bergholtz was the scene of a very pretty wedding at seven o'clock on Sunday evening when Miss Matilda Broecker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Broecker of the Nash road, became the bride of Gregory C. Belling of Martinsville. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Otto Bruss, pastor of the church, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends ot the young couple. The bride was handsomely gowned in white Japanese silk trimmed with oriental drapery outlined with silver beads. Her long tulle veil was caught with orange blossoms and myrtle. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lillies-of-the-valley. Miss Louise Broecker, sister of the bride, was maid cf honor and was gowned in white. She carried a large bouquet of white asters. The bride's maids were Mrs. Henry Belling and Miss Sophia Goerss. The ushers were Mr. Henry Belling and Mr. George Belling. The best man was Mr. Edward Wurl. The wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's parents The house was prettily decorated with asters and myrtle. Sixty guests sat down to the wedding dinner. Among the out-of-town guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Broecker and son and Mr. Haengle of Buffalo and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Broecker of North Tonawanda. Hiller 83. of 314 Primo Ave. died yesterday after a heart attack. He was bom Sept. 4, 1876, in Lachingen, Germany, son of Michael and Anna Hiller. He came to America in 1892, and to Sherrill in 1914. On May 29, 1900, he married Agnes Schwenkbeck m Niagara Falls. Mr. Hiller was a foreman in the black buff department of Oneida Ltd. for more than 50 years, retiring in 1952. His wife died in Jan. 15, 1958. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Utica; charter member of Sherrill Lodge 1073, F&AM. He leaves a son, Carl Hiller of Rutland, Vt. ; a daughter. Mrs. Edward Carlton of DesPlains, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Another son, Konrad, died in 1956 Funeral arrangements by Craig W. Crowell are incomplete. He operated neigh- borhood theaters here for 40 years and operated a shoe repair shop in Niagara Street at the time of his retirement in 1949. He was a musician and one of the founders of the Scalzo Band that played in Niagara Falls during the 1920s and 1930s. Mr. Scalzo is survived by one son, Joseph Scalzo, Niagara Falls, and seven daughters, Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Guidotti, Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Syracusa, Mrs. Frank (Brandy) Bellavia, Mrs. Frank (Anetta) Cottet, Mrs. Jack (Anne) Waldriff, Mrs. Sam (Loretta) Musolino and Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Terrana, all of Niagara Falls. Then on Sept. 15, 1885 John Thomas Simmons married Christina Hilsenbeck who had come to U.S. from Hanover Germany. She had a baby girl Anna Lydia Sept 5, 1884 then Lillian Mae born Dec 13, 1886, who married Roy Messick Oct. 1, 1913. Then a boy Henry Harrison Simmons born Oct. 4, 1888, then James Albert Simmons born March 8, 1891. Dec. 29, 1894 had a baby born dead. Anna Lydia married, but divorced and died Feb. 11, 1950. And a 1/2 sister Stella died June 14, 1960. Lilly's mother, Father, baby Brother and half sister Stella and Anna all burried in Fillmore. Brother Albert and wife live in Savannah.
