Pat was born on February 20, 1937, in Lockport, New York. Pat spent most of her life in Western New York, having lived in Lockport, Gasport, and Akron. She loved to garden and was talented with sewing and crocheting. She also loved traveling and camping with family and friends. After retiring from a career in retailing, customer service, and office management, she realized her dream of moving to Arizona to be closer to her mother and sister. She spent some time traveling around the country from California to New York and Florida to Washington, where she visited numerous state and national parks and landmarks as well as countless lighthouses, which were a special love of hers. In 2004, she settled in Prescott Valley, AZ, to enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains and still experience all four seasons. During this time, she enjoyed going on multiple cruises with her sister, Judy. In December 2021, she moved to Ohio due to declining health. She was predeceased by her parents, Elton William Bentean and Mary Wilson; and her son, Scott Fiegl. She is survived by her children, David Fiegl of Buffalo, NY, Christopher (Scotty Phillips) Fiegl of Fremont, OH, and Jennifer (Michael) Foster of Rochester, NY; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, and Graceanne Foster. She is also survived by her sister, Judith (Jon) Smith of Pearce, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. Born on October 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Delores (Gruppo) Brigante. Patti graduated from Niagara Falls High School and attended Buffalo State College. On August 13, 1965, she married the love of her life, James Silvaggi. Jim predeceased her on May 18, 1992. Patti was a gifted artist who had a home business for many years crafting homemade, wooden Christmas ornaments. She served as the religious education coordinator for special education students at St. Teresa’s Church, and was also one of the original founders of Niagara Cerebral Palsy (Empower). Patti was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. She was extremely devoted to her family, and enjoyed spending time telling stories, cooking and baking. Patti is survived by her children, Jeffrey J. Silvaggi and Karen M. (Mark Abramaitys) Silvaggi-Bush; her granddaughter, Gianna Bush; her brother, Neil Brigante; one uncle, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and her best friend of 73 years, Ann Reele. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Michelina Alongi and her brother, James Briganti; brother-in-law, Frank Alongi and her godson, Frank Alongi. 27563 | Patricia “Pat” A. Garvey, 61, of Loveland, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away peacefully on May 15, 2024, in her home. Pat was born on August 10, 1962, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., the daughter of the late Leo F. Garvey and Jane Zymroz Garvey and devoted sister of Julia. Pat loved meeting new people and exploring new places, which would later become her trademark in life. She found her true calling in the hotel and tourism industry. She enjoyed a long career in the industry, in marketing and contract negotiations with organizations such as Winegardner Hammons, The Commonwealth Hotels, and finally, the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, from which she recently retired. Pat loved to travel, play golf, and was fiercely competitive in trivia and euchre. She enjoyed chats with neighbors passing by while outside with her loving companion, Murphy, her 5-year-old Aussie Doodle. Her humor kept everyone in stitches, and she especially enjoyed little “gotcha” jokes. She was a dedicated member of her HOA Board of Directors and devoted her time and talents to improving the community's fiscal health and encouraging others to volunteer. Pat's deep faith in Catholic beliefs was at the core of her being. As a devoted member of Good Shepherd Church, she enjoyed serving others as part of the Eucharistic Team. She was dedicated to making sure neighbors who could not attend Mass received communion in their homes. Pat was a loving daughter, a faithful companion to her sister, a trusting, kind, compassionate friend and neighbor, and the best dog mom ever. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 30, 1950, the son of Edward and Theresa (Birmingham) Rozyczko. Patrick was a graduate of the former St. Mary's Elementary School, a 1968 graduate of the former Bishop Duffy High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Niagara University in 1973. Mr. Rozyczko was a caseworker for child welfare at the Niagara County Department of Social Services in Niagara Falls for 16 years. Patrick the transferred to the NYS Parole Bureau where he has been a Parole Officer for the past 12 years. A member of St. Mary of the Cataract R. C. Church, Patrick currently was the Head Usher at the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturdays. In his youth, he enjoyed playing street basketball with his friends. PatrIck was also a model-railroading enthusiast and often went to model railroading exhibits held in Niagara Falls. He often enjoyed going to local air shows with his twin brother Michael. Born in Lockport, on September 11, 1963 he was the son of Richard Conley and the late Diane (Morsheimer) Harvey. He was co-owner and incredibly proud of American Concrete in Lockport. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, boating at Honeoye lake, hunting with family and traveling as a pit crew member/racing fan. He was incredibly proud to restore his own Rayson Craft like his family in Honeoye. Pat enjoyed doing many things with his daughters but he loved Erin’s swim meets and drawing with Megan. His granddaughters were very special to him and he loved to fish with them, snuggle and eat ice cream as their “Poppy”. You could always find Pat helping others and taking care of the things and people he loved. Beside his father, Pat is survived by the love of his life and wife of 32 years, Deborah (Semple-Lennert) Conley; daughters Megan (Mitchell) Altman-Cosgrove and Erin (Brian Schooping) Conley and granddaughters Aria and Maisey Altman-Cosgrove. He was the brother of Paul (Roberta) Conley, Tim (Tonya Huntington) Conley and the late Julie Conley. He was a step-brother to the children of the late Margaret “Peg” Just. Born on March 15, 1924 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Armando and Antonietta (Caporaso) Passero. Mr. Passero was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School. Patsy also furthered his education while attending photography school. He proudly served in the United States Army, during World War II, in the 82nd Airborne Division, serving in the Battle of the Bulge, from November 2, 1942 until his honorable discharge on November 15, 1945. Mr. Passero was the recipient of the Purple Heart, 4 Bronze Battle Stars, the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon, the American Theatre Ribbon, the Victory Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. Patsy was self-employed as a professional photographer while operating Peter Pan Studio. Mr. Passero is survived by his beloved wife, Isabelle (Rodney) Passero; one daughter, Lenore (Michael) Brumett; four grandchildren, Nathan, Danielle, Tyler and Gabrielle and five great-grandchildren. Patsy is also survived by four siblings, Theodore (Marie) Passero, Gloria (late Carmen) Fortunate, Lucille Passero and Mario (Carol) Passero and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was born on July 19, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Lester and Asenath (Wills) Schultz and was a lifelong resident of Ransomville.. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1952 and in November entered the U.S. Army to serve during the Korean War. Paul spent most of his military service at Ft. Hood, Texas and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in November of 1954. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. On June 24, 1953, he married Ruth E. (French) Schultz. Ruth predeceased him on November 19, 2006 after 53 years of marriage. After his discharge from the Army, Paul returned to Ransomville to join the family business, Ransomville Bus Lines. He co-owned and operated the business until his passing. Paul was a member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, boating and being with his family.. 27578 | Paul F. Haseley Gazette Aided in area parks development Paul F. Haseley. whose expertise as a civil engineer was vital to the development of many area parks. including the Niagara Reservation, died Tuesday (March 17, 1987) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Haseley. 87, of 87th Street was born in North Tonawanda and spent most of his life in this area. He started his civil engineering career on relocation of the New York Central Railroad under the U.S. Railroad Administration through the cities of North Tonawanda and Tonawanda in 1918. From 1921 to 1926, he was with the Division of Highways and worked on the construction of highways and bridges in Erie, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Niagara counties. In 1926-27 he was a supervisory engineer for the Niagara County Highway Department, and in 1927-28, he was resident engineer for North Tonawanda. In 1928, Haseley became engineer for the State Reservation of Niagara, now the Niagara Frontier State Park Commission. That year, he was also appointed by the Reservation Commission as engineer for the development of the Whirlpool and Devil's Hole State Park, as well as the Niagara Reservation. He supervised the triangulation survey for the collapse of the American Falls in January 1931. and in 1933, he designed and supervised the construction of the Stone Arch Bridge from Goat Island to Luna Island. Also in 1933, preliminary studies were started for the development of Beaver Island State Park, West River Parkway, and Buckhorn Island State Park on Grand Island. A ferry provided transportation to the office headquarters at the former Sidway Estate, which is now Beaver Island State Park. Haseley retired in 1955 from the Niagara Frontier State Park Commission in order to devote his time to a private practice as a consulting engineer. He was a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, a life and charter member of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, a member of the Civil Service Commission of the State of New York, the Ismailia Temple, the Niagara Scottish Rite, the Buffalo Consistory, the Southerland Lodge No 826 F&AM, and was a member of Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church. Jean Andrews, who was secretary at Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church for 27 years, recalled Wednesday how Haseley gave his time to the church as superintendent o( Sunday school. and as church elder. "He certainly was a man to be respected and a very dedicated member of this church." she said. Surviving are his Alma, daughters Mrs. John (Jane) Murff of Irvington. N.Y., and Mrs. William (Carol) Kalberer of Colonial Heights. Va., and four grandchildren. He then was employed at Niagara County Community College in Maintenance for 6 years, and most recently worked seasonally for Delaware North on Goat Island in Niagara Falls for 12 years. On September 26, 2015, he married Carol J. (DeMita) Swartz in Grand Island, NY. Paul was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, the Buffalo Bills, and the Buffalo Sabres. He enjoyed shopping, especially grocery shopping and occasionally frequenting the casino with his wife. Paul loved the holidays and loved to decorate, winning multiple annual awards from the Niagara Beautification Commission for best decorated home. Above all, he loved being together with his family at picnics and get togethers, and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He loved being with his dogs and spending time at his Camp in Southern New York. An avid outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a passion for music and especially enjoyed singing. Paul had a special bond with his niece, Robin Vicaire, who he cherished dearly. He loved going to the casino with Robin, as well as his nephew Johnny Grannis. In addition to his niece and nephew, Paul is survived by his two sisters, Shirley (late John) Grannis and Dixie (late Robert Lee) Jones. Paul helped his longtime friend Don Walck on his farms and could be found helping out his family and friends with various projects and yard work in his spare time. Born December 31, 1958 in Medina, he was the son of James and Pauline Cook Mahar and the late LaVerne "Bernie" Dutcher.Paul served his country in the Army as a sharp shooter and auto mechanic. He entered in the service July 19, 1977 and was honorably discharged January 15, 1979. Paul worked as an Electrician for the New York State Canal Corporation in Rochester until 1999. He married Lisa Page on August 20, 1988. He had many hobbies including astronomy, computers, mechanical work, muscle cars, animals and lighthouses. Paul had a great love of music for all of his life. He had lived in Gasport since 1988; previously of Barker.Paul is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (Page) Dutcher. Dear father of Paige Lynn Dutcher and Anthony Dutcher. In 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and he worked as an office clerk until his honorable discharge and retirement in 1969. Paul’s courage, kindness and humor never waned throughout his 53-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He earned the love and admiration of his family, friends and caretakers. Paul took great pleasure in helping to raise his nieces, Pauline and Alex. He had a passion for completing crossword puzzles, rooting for the Yankees, playing with his dogs and watching classic TV shows. Paul could always be counted on to tell jokes and spark a laugh. His family wishes to thank his many caretakers for their help and friendship throughout the years. Despite the loss of his arm as a teenager, Paul managed to both cross country ski and shoot archery. He was a former member of the LaSalle Sportsman’s Club, the Niagara County Sportsman’s Club and the Buffalo Nordic Ski Club. He was also a member of the Forestview Church of God. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Ralph and Ruth (LaValley) Nicoletti. Paul was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School in 1959. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1963. Upon returning home, he attended Niagara County Community College and obtained his Associate’s degree in business. On April 23, 1966, he married his beloved wife, Marilyn A. (Ricotta) at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Paul served as Vice-President and Branch Manager for Key Bank locations throughout Niagara Falls for many years prior to his retirement after 43 years of dedication. He was a longtime member of United Way and Empower, and also coached Cataract Little Loop football for over 28 years. Paul was a Devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Peter’s Church. He was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Lebanon in Niagara Falls, where he served as an altar boy. Paul was an avid football fan, especially of the Buffalo Bills. In his younger years he played fastpitch softball for Bruno’s, LaHacienda and Marine Midland Bank, and also loved to horseback ride. Above all, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and best friend Robert Mack. In addition to his wife of 53 years, Mr. Nicoletti is survived by his children, Anthony (Assunta) Nicoletti, Mark (Karen) Nicoletti, Michael (Terri) Nicoletti, Julie Ann Nicoletti; his grandchildren, Mark A.
