28301 | Rita May (Rivers) Miller, longtime resident of North Tonawanda, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was 92. She was born in Niagara Falls on May 6, 1924, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Ward) Rivers. Rita attended St. Mary’s Cataract School until her family moved to Kentucky where she attended a one room schoolhouse. Rita and her family returned to Niagara Falls where she attended South Junior and Gaskill Junior High until she left school to help raise her siblings after her father died at an early age. Rita worked for the Warder Paper Box Company in Niagara Falls. She married Walter Miller in 1943 and then she went to work as a riveter at Bell Aerospace during World War II. She also volunteered her time working as a member of the auxiliary at DeGraff Hospital for many years. Mrs. Miller is survived by her great-niece Cathy (Melvin) Wagner, 5 nephews: Tom (late Lynn) Rivers, Robert (late Nancy) Mack, William (Pam) Rivers, and James (Michelle) Rivers and Ken Rivers of California. She is also survived by three nieces: Beverly (Rod) Kucik of North Carolina, Patricia Ventry of Georgia and her great-niece Lori (Richard Drabczyk) Paonessa and many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers: Edward (late Elmira) Rivers and Stanley (late Jettie) Rivers and three sisters: Marie (late Phillip) Dury, Margaret (late Ellwood) Steele and Dorothy (late Benny) Wojton. 28302 | Rita Merino Hager, Esq., of Youngstown, NY, passed away on July 11, 2018 at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Williamsville, NY. Born on October 1, 1954 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of R. Robert Merino, Esq. and Helen (Leone) Merino. Rita resided for most of her life in Lewiston, Niagara Falls and Youngstown. She attended local schools graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1972 and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo in 1975. Rita later graduated from University of Buffalo Law School and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1979. On November 22, 1980 she married John P. Hager. Over the past 39 years Rita has practiced law in Western New York and also worked in Family Court. Rita enjoyed running, biking, skiing and traveling. In addition to her husband of 37 years, Rita is survived by her daughter Lauren (Steven) Svec, brother Hon. Robert (Gail) Merino, Esq.; sisters Mary Ann (Don) Ruff, Edith (Ralph) Penale, Janet (James) Tallerico as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. 28307 | Rob R. McKenzie January 17, 2022 Rob R. McKenzie, 66, of Ransomville, NY, went home to be with his Savior on Monday, January 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Rob was the first son of the late A. Donald and Virginia (Wendt) McKenzie; and the beloved husband to Carolyn (Kreps) McKenzie who he married on July 6, 1974. Rob lived in Niagara Falls for the majority of his life and attended local schools. He proudly served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1978. Rob was employed at Tam Ceramics Inc. for 22 years as the Occupational and Safety Health Supervisor, and also spent 6 years working at Air Sep Corp prior to his retirement. Rob was a faithful member of The Bridge Assembly of God, where he had served as a board member and as a Sunday school teacher for many years. One of his greatest joys was sharing his faith and love of Christ with other believers and non-believers a like. In addition to his loving wife, Carolyn, Rob is survived by his children, Amber McKenzie and Nathan (Angela) McKenzie; and two beautiful grandchildren, Victoria and Rob Roy, that were the apples of his eyes. Bob was born on June 14th, 1935 in Narrowsburg, New York; to the late Raymond and Viola Swendsen. Bob was a veteran of the National Guard, He worked for the Sullivan County Highway Department; Where Bob and Ann also owned and operated Lakeview Diner, He was very involved with the Lions Club, a former volunteer Fireman at Kauneonga Lake; more locally known for his workmanship at Ridgeview Mobile Homes, where he gained the title "Grandpa/Uncle Bob" by many families; from fixing bike chains to sharing a laugh, he touched the lives of so many with his simple acts of kindness. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, from hunting to fishing; he enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with cars, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Bob was preceded in death by his son Michael Swendsen, and his siblings Harriet Swendsen, Clifford (Charlotte) Swendsen, Melvin Swendsen, Dorothy (James) Moreland, Mae (Charlie) Andes, and infant siblings Alfred, Clara and Vera Swendsen. 28310 | Robert "Robbie" L. Hunt, Major, USMC, passed away on January 29, 2021 at the age of 70. Born in Niagara Falls on November 27, 1950 to the late Alfred M. Hunt, Sr. and the late Betty J. (Kelly) Hunt-Beckwith. Robert graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1968 where he excelled in swimming. After graduating he received as scholarship and attended Colombia University, NYC, enrolled in pre-med. While at Colombia, his thoughts changed and he decided to join the armed services, U.S Marine Corp. in 1971 and dedicated himself to that life, beginning with the rank of Sergeant, 1st Lt., Captain and was honorably discharged in 1989 with the rank of Major. With a brilliant mind for computers, he was employed by Burroughs Computer for many years, traveling worldwide, finally retiring as the Vice President of Production. Surviving are his two brothers, Alfred M. (Paulajo) Hunt, Jr. and Phillip E. (Rose Ann) Hunt; a half-sister, Sandra (late Ronald) Granieri; his former wife, Sara Sheldon; and many nieces and nephews. 28311 | Robert 'Bob' H. Schuster, age 96, entered into rest peacefully on September 17, 2016 at his Wheatfield residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Luella (Hagen) Schuster. Bob is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during WWII from 1942-1945, in the Guadalcanal, New Britain, and Peleliu campaigns. Bob met Marjorie 'Midge' E. Heumann, also a Marine, at Parris Island and were married June 23, 1945 on base. They returned to Western, NY and retired from the New York Telephone Company, after working 35 years. He was a Freemason, active member for 77 years with St. Johnsburg Fire Company, and their drum corps marching unit, Boy Scout Troop Master, and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Shawnee. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years; son, Robert M. Schuster; brother, Albert Schuster; and sister, Claribel Ackerman. Survivors include two children, Heidi L. Schuster and David R. (Kathleen) Schuster; two grandchildren, Katelyn R. Schuster and Shannon M. (Charles) Madden III; and two great-grandchildren, Avery Madden and Charles Madden IV. He was a 1978 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and had been employed as a Nursing Assistant by Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for 10 years. He was a former member of the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1. He loved camping in Alleghany State Park and his pet dogs. He is survived by two sons, Robert A. Born on March 14, 1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Alexander MacFarlane and the late Helen (Hibbard) Fagiani. On March 21, 1959, he married the former Ann Boswell. Mr. MacFarlane was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. Robert attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. He later earned his associates degree from Niagara County Community College. Mr. MacFarlane was employed by Moore Business Forms, where he worked as a Machine and Graphic Designer. Robert attended First Presbyterian Church in Lewiston and was a former member of the Lewiston Historical Society. He was a talented artist and had his small plane license and enjoyed local air shows and planes of all kinds. In addition to his beloved wife, Mr. MacFarlane is survived by three children, Robert A. MacFarlane, Amy (Ronald) Pieroni and Scott A. (Jennifer) MacFarlane; four grandchildren, Gregory and Sarah MacFarlane and Alison and Ellen Pieroni; two siblings, Nicholas (Beth) Fagiani and Marcia Dorn and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 28316 | Robert Abersold, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday May 25, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Abersold) Smith. Bob served in the United States Navy with MP 206 in Buffalo during the Korean War from July 23, 1951 until his honorable discharge on July 22, 1959. He began a career in public safety as a deputy with the Chautauqua County Sheriff Department, and then worked for the New York State Department of Correction s at Attica. Bob later worked as an officer with the New York State Parks Police in Niagara Falls for over 21 years. He also served as the former treasurer of the Western New York Police Association. Bob enjoyed hunting, and was an avid reader, which made him the “go to” guy for trivia or any knowledge needed. He was also an avid fan of the NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills and will be sorrowfully missed by all. But most importantly Bob enjoyed spending cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Elaine (Price) Abersold; four children Ronald (Sandy) Cirrito, Richard Cirrito, and Lacinda Armele all of Niagara Falls, NY; Joan (Dominic) Flocare of Clarence, NY and was predeceased by his daughter Carol Hoisington. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 7, 1941, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ackerson. He attended local schools and was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School. Robert began his working career with Union Carbide Corp. In 1971 he started with Harrison Radiator as an electrician, retiring in 2001 with 30 years of employment. He also was the owner and operator of RK Electric. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy M. (Lauzau) Ackerson in 2013 and a brother, Richard Ackerson. 28320 | Robert C. (Zimmie) Zimmerman, 77, a retired Army Sergeant, a 30 year veteran of the military, died Friday February 20, 2015, in Buffalo General Hospital. A native of Lockport he was born on July 7th, 1937, in Lockport, the son of the late Floyd and Catherine (burg) Zimmerman. Upon completion of High School he joined the military service and made a career that lasted 30 years. His military service included, he was a military policeman for over 16 years, also assigned to several missile bases, and aviation units in Niagara Falls, and the engineer battalion in of Buffalo, NY area. After his military career, Zimmie worked as a Security Guard for HSBC Bank and the bus driver known as “Mr. Bob”, for Ridge Road Express. Robert enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards, and volunteering for many senior citizen groups in the local area, especially the Dale Association, in May of 2013, he was honored at the Dale with the Duncan Nixon Memorial Award, and the RSVP Hanci retired senior volunteer program, especially the Challenger Sports League for teens and adults with disabilities which involved his grandchildren and family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 319, the American Legion, A.J. Jurek Post 1672 in East Amherst, NY, along with the 74th/174th Infantry Retires and the 206th Military Police Retired Association, the Dale Association, the Rapids Seniors Association and a Life member of ST. John the Baptist RC Church. He worked many years as an election inspector for both the Niagara County Board of Elections and the Board of Education. Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan (Amsdill) Zimmerman, father of Mark (Brenda) Zimmerman, Julie (Floyd Staats) Zimmerman; three grandchildren, Mark, Mitchel and the late Slayter Zimmerman; brother of the late Judith (Ronald) Phillips and the late Norman (Edith) Zimmerman; brother-in-law George Amsdill Jr. and many loved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was born in Niagara Falls on September 22, 1926, the son of Edward and Gertrude Angevine (Mason) Arnold. Robert served his beloved country with great pride during WW II in the United States Army. He was very proud of his duties done for all of us. He was honored to have witnessed the Peace Treaty. Following his honorable discharge, he briefly worked for Bell Aerospace and later went to work for Frontier Foundries until his retirement. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved baseball, and was a proud cheerleader for all his grandchildren’s games. He worked as a carrier for the Niagara Gazette from 1946-1951 and went on to a 4 year apprenticeship program, sponsored by New York State, graduating in 1955. On August 6, 1955, Bob married his longtime girlfriend, the former Marilyn C. Baxter at Zion Lutheran Church. He then entered in the United States Army in May of 1956, stationed in Yokohama, Japan and was honorably discharged as a corporal on June 30, 1962. For 30 years, Bob was employed as a machinist for General Motors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his boston terriers and traveling with Marilyn in his retirement years. She entered into rest on January 1, 2005. Robert was employed at the Wendt's Dairy, Heuer's Dairy and then became an Inspector with the Niagara County Health Department. He inspected farms, restaurants, swimming pools and became Senior Sanitarian in charge of air pollution, retiring after 35 years of service. He was the recipient of an award for outstanding service in the department. A member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, Robert and his wife enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States. He loved polka music, photography, tinkering with tools and was proud of his Slovenian heritage. On August 8, 1959, he married Nina I. (Dean) Townsend. Bob began his career for Airco Speer in 1959 which later became Carbon Graphite retiring in 1999 as a millwright. During that time Bob was a member of their bowling, golf and baseball teams. Bob was an extensive camper and traveler, taking numerous trips throughout the United States and abroad. He also loved to watch sports on television and was a passionate New York Yankee, Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. In his leisure time Bob enjoyed horse racing, the casino and playing the lottery. Above all, Bob loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. He had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a North Tonawanda letter carrier, retiring in 1988. He had also enjoyed working as a Microfilmer at the North Tonawanda City Hall and worked full-time running the laundry operation at the Niagara County Jail. After he retired again, he worked as a driver for AutoZone until 3 years ago when he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. Bob fought hard and bravely, despite being on oxygen and multiple medications. He was an avid bowler on several teams for over 50 years until last year. Bob was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where he had served as a President, Trustee, Deacon, Sunday School Treasurer, and member of the Altar Guild. He was a member of the American Legion, Sikora Post 1322. Born on January 21, 1967 in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of Robert E. Wade, Sr. of the Town of Niagara and the late Donna Jeanne (Boyd) Wade. On May 14, 1994, he married the former Karen L. Woika. In addition to his father and wife of over twenty-two years, Rob leaves behind his children, Jason, Amber and Alexis Wade; one grandchild, Jordynn Wade; two sisters, Joyce E. (Tony) Rotella and Theresa A. Wade; sister-in-laws, Sue (Jack) Braham and Bernadette Ford; his furry daughter, Sasha and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Game and Elizabeth P. (Sitzenstatter) Game. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. (Billy) Pritchard and his brothers, William J. (Marcia) Game and Paul J. (Judy) Game. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol D. (late Frederick) Voutour. He is also survived by his beloved grandson, Noah Robert Pritchard; and several nieces and nephews. Bob proudly devoted his educational pursuits and professional life to public service. He graduated from Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo. He began a lengthy, decorated career in environmental protection and utilities management in the City of Niagara Falls as an Ass istant Sewage Plant operator in 1972. The following year, he volunteered as a construction inspector on the new $64-million Niagara Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant which utilized a physical-chemical carbon filter process so that he could learn the new system from the bottom up. In 1984 he began a twelve-year tenure as Director of Utilities for the same facility. By 1994, after a decade under his leadership, it would be declared "the most advanced municipal wastewater treatment plant" in the United States by the Environmental Protection Agency. By the time of his retirement in 2009, he had served as a Superintendent of Wastewater for the City of North Tonawanda as well as Director of water and sewage utilities in Niagara Falls, New York; Shreveport, Louisiana; Paducah, Kentucky; and Auburn, New York. Near the end of his career, Bob served as the first Executive Director of the newly -formed Niagara Falls Water Board. Throughout his career, he gained a reputation across the country as a well-respected public utilities executive and consultant. He presented at numerous conferences and was recognized by the New York Water Environment Association in 1993 and the American Public Works Association in 1994 for his visionary leadership. Bob was a friend and mentor to many people. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, loyal friendships, and his passion for life.He loved traveling throughout the United States, writing, genealogical research, music, playing ping-pong and especially spending time with his grandson, Noah.A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held in June 2017 in the Buffalo Niagara region. He attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1937 and later Niagara University in 1950. Robert served in the United States Army during World War II with the 106th Infantry Unit. He was involved in the campaigns of the Central and Western Pacific, and awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, WWII Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Combat Infantry Badge and Good Conduct Medal. Robert was employed as a case worker for the Niagara County Department of Social Services for 33 years retiring in 2001 at the age of 83. He was an avid golfer and bowler, but his true passion in life was baseball. Mr. Wackett was predeceased by his wife of 29 years, Lilian E. (Dixon) Wackett on December 10, 2004. 28345 | Robert Elmer Haseley (1925 - 2011) Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Friend ascended to heaven at 11:35 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 after a long fight with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., June 16, 1925 where he lived the first half of his life and then moved to Simi Valley. Robert served his country well in the U.S. Navy. He was assigned as a Radio Man 1st Class to a Landing Control Craft L.C.C. in the Pacific during World War II. He felt compelled to serve his country at a time needed in the Battle for Leyte Gulf. Coming out of the service, he married Willa I. Fairbanks. In 1949 they had a son, Robert Louis Haseley. Around 1969, they became loving foster parents to Jennifer Griffin (Rudnitzki), Duane Fred Griffin, Diana Griffin (Haseley). In Niagara Falls, Robert was a member of the Plumber's and Steamfitter's Union. He was the Business Manager for the Niagara Power Project. Later he became Plant Foreman on a secret project called Model City where they built a cyclitron to chemically separate fuels for aviation. Also he worked on Nike sites and bunkers as a civilian contractor for the military. During the same years he was an active member of Lewiston Fire Co. #2, a member of Masonic Lodge #132, and with his family, was a really active member in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Niagara Falls, N.Y. He moved to California in 1963, the family joined him in 1964, to find work in the building trades building homes in Simi Valley and Bakersfield. Eventually he went to work for TWA airlines at LAX in ground maintenance from which he retired. He and his family joined Our Redeemer Lutheran Church around 1964 and served many years on council and the other committees. Involved in many other volunteer services that included: Good Shepherd Lutheran School Board, Luther's Attic Treasurer and worker, member of Chapter #55 of the Disabled American Veterans of Simi Valley, and member of L.C.C. Landing Craft Control Boats of WWII organization. During the last several years, he went to the Simi Senior Center to have lunch and play bingo with his friends. One of his favorite things to do was to play bingo every Thursday night with his family where he met many new friends. Then recently he became a Charter Member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church when Our Redeemer and Our Savior Lutheran Churches merged together. After Willa passed, Robert found new love with Vickie Carey who took care of him with much love up until he passed away. She was and is a blessing to Robert and his family. Robert is survived by his beloved friend, Vickie Carey; his only son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Diana; his grandson, Christopher; his great-grandchildren, Ethan Duarte Haseley and Christiana Perez Haseley; his foster children, Jennifer Rudnitzki and Duane Fred Griffin; his two nephews, Kent and Douglas Cairns and their family who are his sister Leah Cairns' children. His sister Leah and Robert's wife of 59 years Willa, have preceded Robert in death. Born April 18, 1916 in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary (nee Fitzpatrick) Batt. He was a decorated Army Veteran of WWII, participating in both the D-Day Invasion of France and the Battle of the Bulge. He worked as a self-employed painter and paper hanger in the Tonawandas before retiring and had been a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Tonawanda. He was the husband of Delores (nee Behm) Batt; father of Kathleen (the late Richard) Patrick of Lockport and the late Pamela Mae Batt, Robert F. Batt, Jr., and Janet (Jay) Holler. 28348 | Robert F. LaDuca, Sr., 98, passed away on August 25, 2024, at Wheatfield Commons under the care of Niagara Hospice. His family and friends surrounded him in love. He was a devoted and caring father, grandfather, and a loving, supportive husband. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph P. (Margaret) LaDuca. He was married to Jilda D. (Diflorio) LaDuca for 60 years. Jilda predeceased him on December 15, 2019. They lived in Lewiston, NY where they raised 5 children before retiring to St. Augustine, FL. in the fall of 1993. His witty sense of humor brought joy to family and friends. As a young man of 18 years, he served as an air force cadet in the United States Army Air Force in WWII. He graduated from the University of Buffalo where he also received his master’s degree in biology and science. He was an advanced science educator and later a school administrator in Niagara Falls, N.Y. school system for 37 years. During his administrative career, one would often find him in the classroom joining the appreciative students in writing poetry and short essays. During his education career, he was twice awarded National Science Foundation Grants to partake in advanced science summer seminars at Loretto Heights College in Denver, Col., and again at Thiel College in Greenville, PA. His interest in young adults encouraged him to devote his time and talent to school youth-related organizations including the N.Y. State Youth Bureau. He was host to a cable television program “Remember When” in Niagara Falls, NY. The program brought together people of various interests. He actively served for several years as General Chairman of the Catholic Charities drive in Lewiston, N.Y. and with public relations United Givers’ Fund. He was also active in the Republican party and served as a Republican committeeman in the town of Lewiston. He was a member of the National Assoc. of School Administrators and the School Administration Association of New York State. When he moved to St. Augustine, he was a volunteer at the University of Florida Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience and Research Center in Palm Coast, Fl. where he introduced school children to the varieties of marine life. He was a keen observer, a voracious reader interested in all forms of writing especially poetry. He also enjoyed golfing with friends. He loved music and was fond of singing and playing his mandolin and violin and his new interest, guitar. He also enjoyed cooking specialty Italian dishes. He and his wife traveled extensively, but his happiest memories were with his children and grandchildren each summer at their Eagle Island Lake house, “On Eagle’s Wings,” Kawagama Lake, Ontario, Canada. He was a member of the Marsh Creek Country Club, St. Augustine Concert Assoc., First Coast Opera, St. Augustine Ballroom Dance Association, and a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church. He was also a member of The American Legion, St. Augustine, and a former member of the Elks Club. Mr. LaDuca is survived by his 4 sons Robert F. Jr., (Barbara), and Ronald W. (Karen) of Lewiston, N.Y., Jeffrey P. (Kelly) of Wheatfield, N.Y., William D. of Atlanta, GA., and one daughter Bonita S. (Amy) of Minneapolis, MN. His brother Joseph P. Jr. predeceased him. He is survived by one sister, Mary Ruth Fortunato of Williamsville, N.Y. He was blessed with five loving grandchildren, Lauren (Reid), Kristen, Bryan, Michael (Michele), and Justin from Lewiston, and six great-grandchildren Lily, Colin, Nolan, Ayla, Maria, and Gianna. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He passed away quietly in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, leaving his family with many memories of one filled with love of life. A private memorial service for the celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial and Entombment with Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven—Holy Angels Mausoleum, Lewiston, NY. 28349 | Robert F. Wasmund, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, under the care of Hospice. Bob graduated from Trott Vocational H.S. as a welder and retired from Carbon Graphite. He also enjoyed working the family business, setting up estate sales and doing antique shows. Bob was a hunter, fisherman, avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed spending time at the casino. Bob was a loving husband, kind and gentle father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bob was admired by everyone who knew him and affectionately known as "Bullet" or "Fonzi." 28350 | Robert F. “Bobby” Gravanti, 70, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Luca and Maria (D’Agostino) Gravanti. Bobby was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1967. Bobby was a collision manager at Clark County Motors A+ Blue Ribbon Collision and Page’s Automotive in Niagara Falls, NY as well as being a co-owner of several local establishments including the Friar’s Club, Biju, Treehouse, Ladies Night, Aladdin’s and Babe’s. He also worked as a ramp attendant at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Bobby enjoyed painting old cars and loved boxing. He also had a passion for music of the fifties. He will be remembered for being a loyal friend with a unique sense of humor and a big heart who enjoyed making everyone around him laugh. But most of all, Bobby loved his family especially his children and grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife Doraine (Mantell) Gravanti, two children Dana (Joe) Falcone and Kyle (Larry) Quarcini both of Niagara Falls, NY; two step children Jamie Naus and Michael (Karen) Naus both of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren Mia and Gianna Falcone, Alyssa and Larry Quarcini, Jonathon Nelson, Emerson and Isabelle Naus, one brother John Gravanti of Niagara Falls, NY, one sister Helen (late Ronnie) Zito of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother Tony (Josephine) Gravanti and two sisters Marge (Dom) Rotella and Terry Palmisano.
