2851 AnnMarie E. Waud, 62, of Niagara Falls, passed away on May 30, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Patricia (Amendola) Custode, Sr.
AnnMarie graduated from Niagara Falls High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Cheryl Fell’s School of Business.  She was employed with Par-Med, Bank of America, and most recently, as a Mortgage Representative for M&T Bank in Amherst, NY.  AnnMarie’s life centered around her family.  She especially loved Christmas time and the festivities.  She was a fabulous cook, baker and cake decorator, and enjoyed hosting parties and entertaining.
AnnMarie is survived by her husband, Glenn G. Waud; her children, Barbara J. Casavant and Laura A. (Patrick J.) Keiper; her grandchildren, Trynity R. Keiper and Patrick J. Keiper, II, her brother, Lewis (Maria) Custode, Jr., as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony M. Custode, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2 from 4 – 8 PM at M.J. 2852 ANOTHER CHILD IS DEAD FROM MEASLES
Albert, the thirteen-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gaul of Lincoln avenue, died suddenly yesterday at the family home from the measles. This is the first death from measles in North Tonawanda in years and the second within a month in the Tonawandas. The funeral will be held from the Gaul home on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. George Evans officiating. Burial will be made in the Tonawanda city cemetery.

2853 Another devoted servant of God has passed from this Earth and is now rejoicing with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. Joseph S. Candella, III, 41, of New Martinsville, WV, and formerly of Wilson, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Born in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of Joseph S. Candella II and the late Bonnie (Simpson) Candella.
Joseph was a graduate of Wilson High School.  He played football at Wilson, as well as Cortland University.  He returned to Western New York and earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in education at Buffalo State.
He was currently employed at Short Line Middle-High school in Wetzel County, WV as a history teacher. God's gift to him was his passion for education.  Joseph motivated his students to learn. Joseph was especially fond of the World War II era.
Joseph was a born-again Christian, who devoted his life to Christ. He was an inspiration to us all. Joseph loved his family, pets, and friends. Above all, Joseph centered his life around his young son, Joseph S. Candella IV, "JoJo" who we know will miss him dearly but will take comfort in knowing his father will always be with him and guiding him throughout his life.

2854 Anthony "Tony "Mr. T" Wieleba, age 65, of Glendale, AZ, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 in his home with his children by his side. He was born September 27, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Anthony and Jean Wieleba.

Anthony was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved Nascar, the NY Yankees, and most of all - all the "Hats" he wore in life.

Anthony is survived by his children, Lennie (Matthew) Wieleba-Lehotzky of Carrollton, TX, Joseph (Andrea) Wieleba of Peoria, AZ and Marie (David) Tabor of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Anthony & Joseph Lehotzky and Vidalia & Mason Detwiller; three Siblings, Dorothy Overton of Surprise, AZ, Patricia White of Las Vegas, NV, and Annette (Richard) Klail of Ft. Pierce, FL. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews. Anthony is predeceased by three siblings, Dolores, Carol Jean, and Richard.

2855 Anthony C. Borgese, M.D., 83, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on October 29, 2023.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Candelor and Anna Maria (Marra) Borgese.
Dr. Borgese attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1956 and Niagara University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences in 1960.  He later graduated from the University at Buffalo with his M.D. Degree in 1964.  After graduation, Dr. Borgese began his internship and residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital, where he became Chief Resident in 1967.  Dr. Borgese served as a Major in the United States Army Reserves at the 365th General Hospital from 1965 until his discharge in 1971. In 1968, he accepted a Fellowship in Clinical Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic.  
In 1969, he returned to Niagara Falls where he began his own private practice in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, which he operated until 1993.  During his time in private practice, Dr. Borgese served as an attending physician at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where he also served as the Head of Cardiology Division and the President of the Medical Staff.  He also was an attending physician at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, a Medical Consultant for Carborundum Corp., and a Cardiac Consultant with the New York State Office of Disability in Buffalo, NY.  Dr. Borgese was a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cariology, and the Royal College of Medicine in London.
Dr. Borgese was a quiet and gentle man that will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Dr. Borgese is survived by his sister, Dr. Alberta A. (late Joseph P.) Micale, his aunts, Connie Borgese and Louise Alaimo, as well as many loyal and loving cousins.

2856 Anthony Charles Ippolito, age 94, of North Tonawanda, July 9, 2016, in Bristol Village Assisted Living. He was the son of the late Fortunato and Lucia Ippolito. Husband of the late Laura (Belstadt) Ippolito. Beloved father of Ronald (Katherine) Ippolito, John (Maria) Ippolito, Laurie (Bruce) Michell and Lary (Shelley) Ippolito. Grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Brother of Lucille Ippolito and the late Charles, Arthur, Fred, Leila, Josephine, and Gloria. Cousin of Nicholas Gervase; uncle of many nieces and nephews, and survived by many in-laws. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a caregiver to many. He retired from the Wurlitzer Co. after a career spanning 40 years, rising from an entry drafting position to Director of Engineering. He had been awarded 22 patents. He was a life-long engineer, experimenting and prototyping into his 90’s. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church for over 40 years, and was a caretaker of its cemetery. He enjoyed golfing for over 50 years and bowling for over 70 years. He regularly worked out at the health club into his 90’s. He was an avid reader, particularly in the areas of health, nutrition, and his faith in God and Jesus. 2857 Anthony D’Orazio, Jr., 86, of Grand Island, NY, passed away on November 5, 2021 after a short illness.  Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Anthony and Angeline M. (Penque) D’Orazio.
Tony came to the area in the late 1940s with his family, and graduated from Tonawanda High School.  He married Delilah A. “Dolly” (McWilliams) D’Orazio in New Jersey.  Dolly predeceased him on March 2, 2020.  Tony was employed as a Driver Safety Trainer for Union Carbide in Suffield, CT, California, and New Jersey for 30 years, retiring in 1991.  Most recently, he was employed as a Butcher at Tops Market on Grand Island, retiring in 2016.  Tony was an Honorary Member of RBMC Motorcycle Club.  He ran as the Independence Party Nominee for Erie County Comptroller in 2013, and was a past candidate for Grand Island Town Council.  Tony enjoyed golfing, tinkering with cars and bikes, mowing the lawn, and walking his dog, Poe.  In addition, he enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and Solitare, and petting his cat Reilly while watching TV. He was also an extra in the Paul Newman and Anthony Perkins movie, WUSA.
Tony is survived by his children, Dawn D’Orazio, Anthony (Lisa) D’Orazio, III, Scott (Dena) D’Orazio, Lisa (Gary) Eckis, and Kim (Brian) Yohe; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; his sister, Ida (late Edwin) Veihdeffer, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his wife of 42 years, Tony was predeceased by his son David (Leesa) D’Orazio, his grandson, Vincent (Jaime) D’Orazio, and his brothers, Albert (Dorothy) D’Orazio and Luigi (late Reta) D’Orazio.

2858 Anthony F. Serrianni, Jr., 71 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away in Las Vegas, NV, on June 14, 2018. Born November 4, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Bernice (Fanclow) Serrianni, Sr.
Anthony was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1964. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on September 20, 1967. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service and Campaign Medals.
Anthony was employed at Carborundum Company until his retirement. Following his retirement, he went on to work as a consultant with Felton Machine Co. Anthony was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting with his nephew, Larry, and the other guys, as well as fishing.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, JoAnn (Lotterio) Serrianni; his children, Deborah Lynn (Robert Borror) Preston of Huntington, WV, Tina Serrianni of Little Valley, NY, Stephen Anthony (Tracey Ventry) Serrianni of Niagara Falls, NY; and step-daughter, Victoria (Brian) Munroe of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren, Daniel, Ian, Christian, Andrea and Luke; brother, Richard (Karen) Colton; sister, Donna (Joe) Nasca; and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one sister, Shirley (late Lawrence) Quigliano; and one brother Gary Serrianni.

2859 Anthony H. "Tony" Liuzzi passed away October 11, 2016 in Absolut of Gasport. Born in Westfield, NY on March 16, 1932 he was the son of Salvatore and Raffaella (Viafora) Liuzzi Sr. Tony served in the US Marine Corp from 1951 to 1952 during Korea. He worked in maintenance at Rochester Products Div. of GM. Tony was a harness driver and also worked at both the Batavia and Hamburg Downs where he was a trainer and driver, and was a member of the USTA. He was an avid Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and Notre Dame fan.

Tony is survived by his wife Geraldine (Klino) Liuzzi; brother of Matthew Liuzzi and late John, Rose Agnello, Salvatore Jr., Michael, and Joseph Liuzzi; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 15th at 11 AM in All Saints Oratory, 391 Market St., Lockport. 2860 Anthony J. Caraglin, Ret. N.F.P.D. passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood in the Town of Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Giovanni and Giovanna (Soro) Caraglin.

Anthony was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1946 until his honorable discharge in 1948. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. He was awarded a World War II Victory Medal and a Presidential Unit Citation. He began working at National Carbon in Niagara Falls as a truck driver from 1948 until being called back to active service during the Korean War from 1950 until September 13, 1951. Following his discharge from the Marines he continued working at National Carbon until he became a member of the Niagara Falls Police Department in 1956 until retiring in 1985.

Anthony was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #247 in Niagara Falls. He enjoyed going to his cabin in the Southern Tier with his family and friends.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife Inez D. (D’Andrea) Caraglin who he married on April 15, 1950 at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. He is survived by one son Anthony J. Caraglin, Jr. and was predeceased by one son Robert (Colleen) Caraglin. He is also survived by three grandchildren Shannon (Bill) Fundis, Janelle (Jeff) Vicki and Christopher Caraglin; one great granddaughter Lillian Fundis, one sister-in-law Zania (late Paul) Schiro and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one grandson Robert Caraglin, three sisters Bonita (late Stan) Kawara, Sr. Jean Patrice Caraglin and Mary (late Anthony) Tedesco, two brothers James (late Kay) Caraglin and Frank (Dorothy) Caraglin. He was the son-in-law of the late Angelo and Angela D’Andrea and brother-in-law of the late Joseph (late Esther) Taddie, Arnie (late Mary) D’Andrea, Lillian (late Mario) DeMarchi and Sylvia (late Joseph) Metro.

2861 Anthony J. Nanula, age 96 of Lewiston, NY, entered into rest on April 17th, 2020 while under the care of Hospice.
Predeceased by only three weeks was his beloved wife, Violet, who passed on March 26, 2020. They celebrated their 68th anniversary together on April 19 in heaven. Theirs was truly a love story.
Anthony was born in Niagara Falls, and went to Niagara Falls High School and attended Buffalo State College. He served in the Army in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska, where he was "The Ping Pong Champ." Anthony was bald, he always told his grandchildren that his hair got shot off in the war.
Anthony moved to Southern California where he met and married Violet and had four daughters. In 1962 they moved back to Niagara Falls to own and operate several Tops and B-Kwik Supermarkets. Anthony loved to golf, play cards and watch his grandchildren. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his siblings, Savino (Virgina) Nanula, Jeanette Cadille, and Richard (Shirley) Nanula; four daughters, Maria (Michael) Murawski, Jeannine Hardy, Nina Nanula, Anne Marie (Gary) Burns; and his seven grandchildren, Laura (Mark) Pyrczak, Michael (Heather) Murawski, Charles (Amanda) Hardy, Anthony (Kianna) Hardy, Britney (Mark) DeGiulio, Nicholas Burns, Gabriel Burns. Anthony had nine great-grandchildren.
They both will be greatly missed.

2863 Anthony M. Custode, Sr., of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully on October 18, 2019.  Born on April 9, 1963, he was the son of the late Lewis, Sr. and Patricia (Amendola) Custode.
In his early years, Anthony worked in the family business (Amendola Printing Co.) and went on to become a tradesman in the graphic arts industry in WNY and Florida.  Specializing in typesetting, graphic design, and die cutting, Anthony was a proficient Linotype and Letterpress operator who took great pride in his work; examples of which turn up repeatedly on nostalgic Niagara Falls social media sites.
A tradesman by profession, his passion was music. As an accomplished musician and percussionist, Anthony was best known as a founding member and the original drummer of “The Junk Yard Dogs”, a popular local blues band.    Under his hard-driving and passionate playing, they won The Blues Society of Western New York’s Memphis Bound Competition in 2001 and Buffalo Music Awards Top Traditional Blues Band in 2006.  Other bands that Anthony performed with were “Brass on Ivory”, “The Unauthentic Dixieland-Ragtime Band”, “Swing Shift”, “Big Tobacco”, “Christina Custode & Re-Run” and “The Custode & Parisi Jazz Quartet”.  
Anthony was an energetic and loving person who was always the “life of the party”.  He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, fishing, playing pool, shooting darts and owned/operated the “Bulls-Eye Dart Center” on 18th street in the mid 1980s.  Whatever the venture, he was a true competitor and pursued every activity with passion and enthusiasm. 
A loving father, Anthony is survived by his children Kelly (Sam) Miller and Patrick Custode, and grandchild Gavin Miller.  Anthony is also survived by his is brother Lewis (Maria) Custode, Jr., sister AnnMarie (Glen) Waud, nieces Barbara Casavant, Laura (Patrick) Keiper, and Christina Custode.  He also leaves behind numerous cousins, his ex-spouse Dianna Regan and his lifelong friend Michael Boyd, along with great niece and nephew Trynity and Patrick Keiper and friends too numerous to mention.  He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all.

2864 Anthony R. Pasqualichio, 86 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on July 19, 2018 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  Born January 26, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Vincent and Grace (Giordano) Pasqualichio. 
Anthony was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools.  Afterwards he attended Niagara County Community College and Buffalo State College where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree.  Anthony served as a corporal and ‘I Corp’ instructor in the United States Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge on July 13, 1954.  For twenty five years, he was employed as a supervisor for the Niagara County Department of Health.  Anthony was active in various local organizations including, serving on the board of directors for the Police and Judges Conference, and was past President and Chairman of the Board of the Sertoma Club, the second oldest service club in the United States.  He was also a member of the American Legion Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus Council #247.  In his leisure time, Anthony enjoyed writing poetry and short stories, woodworking, making birdhouses, jelly cupboards, playing handball and golf.
Anthony was predeceased by his wife Sandra Lee (Nowakowski) Pasqualichio.  He is survived by his two daughters, Toni-Jean (Luke) Nicolette, Laurie Ann (Charles) Bazinet, three grandchildren, Michael (fiancé Chrystina) Nicolette, Luke (Alicia) Nicolette and Andrea Pollard, four great-grandchildren, Nicolette, Cole, Aleena and Amaya, a brother Michael (Debra) Pasqualichio, his former wife Jeanine (Calandrelli) Martyniuk, his dear nephew David (Liz) Stebbins, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was also predeceased by three sisters, Josephine (late Charles) Musso, Jennie Pasqualichio, Phyllis (late Casey) Zygmont, and one brother Vincent Pasqualichio.

2865 Anthony R. “Tony” “Butch” Forgione, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Anthony and Marianna (Cammarata) Forgione.
Anthony attended local schools and was a 1964 graduate of Trott Vocational High School. He served in the Army National Guard for six years until his honorable discharge in 1971. Anthony was employed as a Laborer with Local 91 for many years prior to his retirement in 2007. He also owned and operated Tony Forgione Antiques for many years.
Anthony enjoyed antiquing and collecting model trains. Following his retirement, he also enjoyed going to the local coffee shops. Above all, Anthony centered his life around his family and especially loved spending time with them.
Anthony is survived by his children, Terri (Tino) Stinis, Denise (Matthew) Seelbach and Cathy (Joseph) Paonessa; two grandchildren, Jack and Jenna Seelbach; his sister, Anita (late Anthony) Tavano and many beloved nieces, nephews and several cousins who were like siblings to him. He was predeceased by Lois Skurzewski and his siblings, Frank (late Carmella) Forgione, Armand (late Elizabeth) Forgione, Joan (late Joseph) Moraca, Delores Pietrocarlo, Mary (late Robert) Moore and an infant sibling, Anthony Forgione, Jr.

2866 Anthony S. Mrzygut, 93, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018.  Born on August 21, 1924 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Anthony S. and Antoni Mrzygut, Sr. On August 2, 1946, he married the former Joyce Marie Steele.  She predeceased him on September 21, 2007.
 
Mr. Mrzygut proudly served in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Wasp and USS Tarawa, serving during both WWII and the Korean War, until his final honorable discharge on October 24, 1952.  Anthony was a lifelong auto technician, employed by the Ford Motor Company and a life member of Frontier Volunteer Fire Company.
 
Mr. Mrzygut is survived by his 5 children, Anthony S. (Cynthia) Mrzygut, III, Steven A. (Mary Ellen) Mrzygut, Rick M. Mrzygut, Ronald S. (Jodi) Mrzygut and Chris R. (Lisa) Mrzygut; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents and wife, Anthony was predeceased by a granddaughter, Deana and 2 sisters.

2867 Anthony V. Giannone, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at his home peacefully. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Carmella (Fantauzzo) Giannone; and the beloved husband of the late Linda S. (Kitcho) Giannone, whom he married on February 25, 1969.
Anthony was a graduate of Trott Vocation High School and earned his degree from Kelly’s Business School. On August 21, 1967, he proudly joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War and served as a heavy truck driver. Upon his honorable discharge in 1969, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge.
For the past 36 years, Anthony was a dedicated employee of Helmel Engineering Products, Inc. in Niagara Falls. During the 1980s, he owned and operated the former Mr. G’s Pizza on Lockport Road, alongside his wife.
Anthony was a faithful member of The Way Church of God in Sanborn, NY. An avid golfer, bowler and sports enthusiast, he was a passionate fan of the Buffalo Bills, New York Mets and Buffalo Sabres. He also loved hunting, fishing, and was a longtime member of the NRA.
He was proud to have coached his son Scott’s Midtown baseball team and lead them to a championship in the early 80's, as well as coaching his son Vincent’s roller hockey teams across Western New York and Canada for several years.
In addition to coaching, Anthony loved playing baseball, and was extremely thrilled to play with his two sons in local men’s leagues at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base, Reservoir Park and the Amherst Pepsi Center. 
Anthony was also an original member, and owner of ‘The Mustangs’ in the Niagara Fantasy Football League, which originated in 1992 with his family and friends.  Above all, Anthony cherished the time spent with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren.
Anthony was sadly predeceased by his wife, Linda on October 14, 2022. He is survived by his sons, Scott A. Giannone and Vincent A. Giannone; grandchildren, Anthony S. Giannone, Neyla P. Giannone, Noelle C. Giannone and Sasha M. Giannone; his beloved dog, Hazel; two siblings, Rose (late Basil) Hayes and Sarah Giannone; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Jennie ‘Judgie’ (late John) Alferi, Carmela ‘Connie’ (Marion ‘Bill’ ‘Farmer’) Bresko, Frances (Steven) Jamgochian- Giannone, Antoinette (late James) Vance and Florence (late Roger) Monfort.

2868 Anthony W. Par Dee, of Lewiston, NY, entered into rest at his home on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the age of 66. Mr. Pardee was born on October 14, 1957 in Aliquippa, PA. The son of the late Clayton and the late Beverly (nee Gunzelman) Par Dee, Sr. He married Robin A. Shively on September 25, 1982 at the Niagara Community Church, Niagara Falls, NY. Anthony worked for Modern Disposal Corp. as a Truck Driver for 10 years. He was known as a great mechanic. Anthony had the ability to tell you the automobile just by hearing it run. He could diagnose any issue, just by hearing the details the person was having. He would do wood working with residents of area nursing homes to help their day be filled with fun. Anthony would play Santa Clause every year for his grandchildren, friends and anyone who needed a jolly laugh. He will be missed by all that knew him. Besides his parents, Mr. Par Dee is predeceased by a brother, Clayton Par Dee, Jr. and a sister, Renee (late Keith) Edwards. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 42 years, Robin; loving daughters, Angela M. (David) Awald and Megan E. (Paul) Holland; cherished grandchildren, Riley, Lucas and Emery; caring siblings, Andrew (Linda) Par Dee, Michael (Tammy) Par Dee and Michelle (Matthew) Figura; also survived by many nieces and nephews. 2869 Anthony ‘Tony’ Colosi, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 14, 2025. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Mario ‘Lefty’ and Mary (Scarfone) Colosi.
Tony was a 1967 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  He proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 – 1972 and then in the Army Reserves from 1972-1975.  On July 4, 1981 he married René (Ladouceur) Colosi in Niagara Falls, NY.  Tony was a member of the Lathers Local 51 from 1967-1978 where he was president of the local in the 1970’s.  Later, he became a member of the Carpenters Local 289 in Lockport, NY from 1978 until March 2008.  He was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 844 during the 1970’s and 1980’s. For a number of years Tony and his wife René were especially fulfilled by their work in a number of children charities. Tony was very versed in WNY History and enjoyed telling anyone who would listen about it. He would love to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle around the region for hours.  
The much beloved husband of René, Tony, is also survived by his children, Jennifer Colosi and Nico (Anthony Dalton) Colosi and his granddaughter, London as well as several nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.

2870 Antoinette "Dotty" (Rizzuto) Gara of Lewiston, NY, grew up in Niagara Falls. Her parents, Charles and Jeannette (Manente) Rizzuto pre-deceased her.
She was the wife of the late, Frank Gara. She is survived by her son, Dominick (Diane) Gara; and grandchildren, Melissa (James) Demmin and Nicholas Gara; and a great-granddaughter, Amelia Grace Demmin; and sisters, Neva (John) Grace and Janie (Jeff) Homick.
Dotty was a genuine people person. She was friendly, sociable and caring. Her employment throughout most of her life reflected those traits.
She worked at Stella Niagara, Niagara Council of the Arts, N.F. Visitors and Convention Bureau and Moore Business Forms.
She enjoyed gardening, painting, crafts and golfing. She attended NCCC and graduated with an Associate's degree while she was working and caring for her family.
She was a cancer survivor and assisted others facing that disease.
She donated her body to the University of Buffalo for medical research.
A celebration of her life's journey will be announced at a later date.

2871 Antoinette Cornacchia Tiede, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 16, 2024 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Cornacchia.
Antoinette was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On October 1, 1949, she married Alfred R. Tiede, Sr.  Mr. Tiede predeceased her on June 19, 1997.  Antoinette began working at Ambassador Leather Goods and Hooker Chemical Company. She was also employed for 20 years with AM & A’s and later the Bon Ton at the Summit Park Mall.  She was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society and the Madonna Soccorsso Society.  Antoinette enjoyed sewing, crocheting and flower gardening.
Antoinette is survived by her children, Debra (Michael) Pasqualichio, Karl (Carol) Tiede, and James Tiede; her grandchildren, Eric, Brett, Thomas, Dana, Kimberly, Michele, Joseph and Tiffany; 10 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband of 47 years, she was sadly predeceased by her son, Alfred R. Tiede, Jr, her grandson, Karl William Tiede, as well as her siblings, Theresa (late Nick) D’Aloise, Emily (late Sozzi) Mattoni, Loretta (late Frank) Bruccoleri, Joseph D. Montie, Rose (late John Puglia) Parker, and Joseph Cornacchia.

Antoinette “Dedy” D. Giancola, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, went home to be with the Lord on March 6th, 2016 at Schoellkopf Health Center. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Costantino and Rose (DeNocha) Damiano.

Antoinette attended local schools and earned an Associate’s Degree from Kelly Business Institute. On May 22, 1948, she married Danny G. Giancola at St. Joseph’s Church. Dedy, as she was affectionately known, began working at Sears Department store, the former Jenss Department store and also at the American Cancer Society in the fundraising department. She was later employed at the Niagara County Office of Aging until her retirement. Antoinette enjoyed to cook, but above all enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition her to husband, Mrs. Giancola is survived by three children, Donna (Jeff) Forrai, Sabatino “Sam” (Maralynn) Giancola, Maria (Tom) Arist and was predeceased by one daughter Judy Croft. She is also survived by nine grandchildren Shana Croft, Ian Croft, Jacob Goodman, Faith Goodman, Gabriel Forrai, Teresa (Chris) Niver, Daniel “DJ” (Ashley) Giancola, Anthony (Melinda) Arist, Thomas (Sandi, N.F.P.D.) Arist, N.F.P.D.; her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Gianna, Abigail, Ryan and Emma; brother Thomas (Sheila) Damiano and sister Josephine (James “Vince”) Cimino; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and her special friend Michelle “Mickey” Matthews. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Jeremy and Ryan Croft, as well as siblings Mary (late Octavio) Virtuoso, Anna Damiano, William (Renee) Damiano, and John (Violet) Damiano.

2873 Antoinette Fontanarosa, 92, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 9th.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Vincenza (Palillo) Gagliardo; and beloved wife of Guido F. Fontanarosa, whom she married at St. Joseph Church in 1950.  Mr. Fontanarosa predeceased her on July 19, 2021.
Antoinette was a truly devoted homemaker; a job she took very seriously.  To say she was an extraordinary cook would be an understatement; there was no meatball on earth comparable to hers.  Her entire life revolved around her caring for her family, something that made her happy as well as proud. She will always be remembered for her feisty personality and endless amount of energy as well as her interesting selection of expletives that she used in the most endearing way.  She will be deeply missed.
Antoinette is survived by her children, Peter Fontanarosa, Paul (Susan) Fontanarosa and Mary (Daniel) McGovern; her daughter-in-law, Donna Fontanarosa; and Elizabeth Corieri, who was like a daughter to her; her grandchildren, David (Erika) Fontanarosa, Peter (Emily) Fontanarosa, Mia Fontanarosa, Samuel Fontanarosa, Gino Fontanarosa, Daniel (Christina) McGovern, Jr., and Austin McGovern; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Lou, Juliette, Alice, Lucy, Millie, Olivia Fontanarosa,  Daniel III and Mack McGovern; her brother Armando (Jeanette) Pucci; her sister-in-law Theresa Gagliardo; as well as many dear friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Antoinette attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1959. She began working in the bakery department of Nabisco Shredded Wheat and later retired as a fork lift operator after 28 years of dedicated service. She continued to stay active by working as a cashier at Hyde Park Golf Course for 14 years.
Antoinette was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved bowling well into her golden years. She also enjoyed watching true crime shows. Above all, Antoinette centered her life around her beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Antoinette is survived by three daughters, Debra (James) Milton, Rosalie (Chris Skrzypek) Pharo, Joelle (Patrick DiLaura) Pharo; her grandchildren, Angela (Hamad) Al-Humakani, Antoinette (Jon Hart) Chumley, John (Susan) Chumley, Lindsey (Brett) Woodard, Daniel Pharo, Michael (Jessica) Pharo and Jazmine Brinson; 10 loving great-grandchildren; her daughters-in-law, Shannyn Pharo and Louise Augustyniak; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

LOCKPORT - Anton A. Beutel, 86, of 2668 Beebe Road, Town of Newfane, died Sunday (Oct. 11, 1970) at Mount View Hospital after a three-month illness. He was born Feb. 1, 1884 in Wheatfield. He had operated a farm at the Beebe Road address for 54 years. Mr. Beutel was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ of this city. He was the husband of the late Minnie R. Kruger Beutel, who died in 1963. Survivors include a son, Melvin K. (Tony) Beutel of Newfane, and a sister, Mrs. Ella Behm of Tonawanda. Also several nieces and nephews survive. Friends may call at their convenience at the Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East. Ave., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Richard Scheffler will officiate. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.

Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Matteo and Rose (Previte) Spameni; and wife of the late Joseph Licata. Toni attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She obtained her beautician's license and owned and operated the former Capri Beauty Salon on 19th Street in Niagara Falls. Most recently, she was employed at Michael's Coiffeures Hair Salon for over 20 years. Toni was a longtime member of the Ladies Cristoforo Colombo Society, Club Italia, and also served as Chairman of the "Late Night Woman's Chatter Club." She was an avid Bocce player, and especially enjoyed music, dancing and shopping. Above all, Toni's life centered around her family. Her love knew no boundaries and she was loved deeply by all. Mrs. Licata is survived by her children, Nino (Shelly) Ramseyer and Rosanne (Alfonse) Muto; five grandchildren, Nino Ramseyer, Alfonse (Luciana) Muto, Gina (Michael) Cournyea, Toni (Scott) Bielec and Nicole Diramio; five great-grandchildren, Ariana, Hudson, Alessia, Harper and Wyatt; her sister, Esther (late Michael) Paonessa; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 2878 Antonio ‘Tony’ Masocco, 91, of East Rochester NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 17, 2017 at North Gate Manor in North Tonawanda, NY.  Born in Giuliano di Roma, Italy he was the son of the late Alfred and Angela (Cutonelli) Masocco.
On October 8, 1949 he married Mary Jane (Malazia) Masocco at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mrs. Masocco predeceased him on September 14, 2009.  Tony was the former owner of the Ice Bridge Ice Cream Shop in Niagara Falls, NY.  He also owned and operated Anthony’s Barber Shop in Niagara Falls and later in Lewiston.  Tony was a Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed playing poker, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Masocco is survived by his son, Donald (Rita) Masocco; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Eric) Pellegrino, David (Brenda) Chambers, Jessica (Christopher) Elliot and Steven (Jessica) Masocco; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie Elliott, Eva Pellegrino, and Liam Chambers, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his wife, Antonio was predeceased by one daughter, late Angela (late Jack) Chambers and three siblings, late Antoinette (late Mario) Fabi, late Joseph (late Anna) Masocco, and late Mario (late Lena) Masocco.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. Arnie graduated from Niagara University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. He was Production Planning and Control Manager at The Carborundum Company in the Fibers Division. Arnie was a resident of Naples since1994, coming from Sanborn, NY.

Arnie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mae Walck; his four children, Philip of San Francisco, CA, Perry of Naples, FL, Marybeth Morea (Frank) of Long Island, NY, and Paula of Vacaville, CA; his two grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas; and his two sisters, Corinne Kernin of Niagara Falls, NY and Kathleen Dube of Rochester, NY.

Richard was born in Lockport, NY on August 5, 1932. Son of the late Rollin and Dorothy Weaver Barrell. Richard worked at Harrison Radiator for 37 years as a tooling engineering, he retired in 1991. He enjoyed his Lionel Trains and puttering.

Terry was born on February 2, 1963 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Sue (Harbison) Hurtgam of Ransomville and the late Mervin Hurtgam. He was 1981 graduate of Wilson High School and was an Operations Manager with Kitchen World for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping and being with his family.
In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by his wife, Julie (Heiman) Hurtgam, whom he married on October 22, 1994. Eleanor Nerber, 88, of Newfane, entered into rest, surrounded by her family and those that loved her, at the Newfane Rehabilitation on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born on January 14, 1926 in Trenton, NJ, the daughter of Robert Struthers and Barbara Struthers Mansure. She was predeceased by her husband and the "love of her life", Roland (Ron) Nerber, in 1983.
Precious mother of Lynette (Alan) Soulvie of Wilson and Barbara (Robert) Annalora of Lockport. Grandmother of four loving grandchildren, Michael Soulvie, Karen (Michael) Long, Christi (Gregory) Horanburg and Shanna Quackenbush. Cherished "Grandma-Grandma" to Stephen Lehmann, Haliegh Seeloff, Gabriel Soulvie, Christopher Trzaska, and Evan Horanburg. Eleanor will be greatly missed by her dear sister, Grace Claire Marcello of Trenton, NJ. She was predeceased by siblings, John Mansure, Delores Bennett and Harry Mansure.
Eleanor met her true love, Ronnie, when he was stationed at Lakehurst Naval Base in New Jersey during WW II. They were married in 1945, and soon after moved to Newfane. Their love was eternal and unaffected by his death in 1983.
Until her retirement in 1985, Eleanor worked in the surgical office of Dr. William Stein. She loved spending countless hours caring for her yard, shrubs and her prized home. She participating in the Wrights Corners Presbyterian Church choir and was a member of the Dale Association.
Eleanor was the perfect listener and the family cheerleader. She created memories that her children and grandchildren will carry in their hearts forever. In the tomorrow still to come, you will walk beside us in the sunshine and the rain, we will speak your name often and we will close our eyes and smile.

Irene Miller of Middleport, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Mrs. Miller was born in Medina, NY on March 14, 1921 daughter of the late Percy and Alice (Schegle) Spark and she has lived in Middleport all of her life.
Mrs. Miller was employed at FMC Corp. in Middleport as an Office Manager for several years until retirement. She was a member of the Middleport Universalist Church, a member and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Clute Phillips Post #938 and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Niagara County Office for the Aging and she was a member of the Gasport Senior Citizens. She enjoyed her family and yard work.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Calvin Spark and Percy Spark. She is survived by a son, Jack (Trudy) Miller of Attica, NY; her beloved grandson, Tyler J. Miller also of Attica; a sister-in-law, Lois Spark of Middleport; and several nieces and nephews.

Stanley E. Moreland, Sr. passed away on April 10, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born on March 29, 1950 in Lockport, he was the son of Thomas J. and Veronica E. (Eiffert) Moreland.
Stanley served in the Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970 and worked as a bartender at various bars and clubs in the Lockport area. He was a member of the Navy/Marine Club, Loyal Order of the Moose and also served as the Parade Marshal for the 2012 Memorial Day Parade.

NIAGARA FALLS — Eleanor (Augustino) Hamilton, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Paonessa) Augustino.

Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On December 13, 1946, she married William Hamilton in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Hamilton predeceased her in 1989. Eleanor was a licensed real estate agent and worked many years with various local realtors. Later on she worked as a unit clerk at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, until her retirement. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She also liked to travel on cruises and to Florida, as well as entertainment and socializing. But most of all, Eleanor loved spending time with her immediate and extended family, particularly during the holidays.

Eleanor is survived by her three children, Patricia Hunt of Niagara Falls, NY, William (Jean) Hamilton of Jackson, WY, and Michael Hamilton of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, David Hunt, Jonathan Hamilton and Rebecca Hunt, and was predeceased by one granddaughter, Elizabeth Hamilton. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Kiersten Hunt and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eleanor was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters, Frank Augustino, Joseph (late Violet) Augustino, Sam (late Ida) Augustino, Dominick (late Ellen) Augustino, Angelo (late Ilva) Augustino, Margaret (late Joseph) Zito and Rose (late Celestino) Garcia.

She was a 1946 graduate of Youngstown High School then attended Bryant & Stratton Business School. Jane married Edmund R. Wendt on October 2, 1948. She was employed at Harrison Radiator in Lockport for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Jane was a member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting stamps, crossword and jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. Most of all she loved being with her family.

LOCKPORT — Robert A. Whitehead passed away April 10, 2012, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born November 27, 1935 in Lockport, he was the son of William and Alice (Waite) Whitehead. Robert served in the Navy from 1954 to 1957, and he was the owner of Niagara Orleans Glass Co., taking over for his father in 1976. He retired in 2002. He was a member of the Navy/Marine Club and the NRA.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kathleen J. (Wayson) Whitehead; father of Ronald A. Whitehead and Mark D. Whitehead; grandfather of Alexandra Whitehead; brother of Linda Short and Russ (Judy) Whitehead; brother-in-law of Gilbert Wayson and William Wayson; also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are mourning the death of Dennis Ferrerio, 73, of Largo, Florida, on Wednesday, April 10th, after a long battle with cancer. Dennis was born on August 19, 1939 in Niagara Falls, and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1957.
Dennis joined the Marines after High School, and excelled as a Heavyweight Boxer in the service, winning numerous Titles in his weight class. He worked for a number of years as a Laborer with Local 91 in Niagara Falls, and moved to Florida in 1995.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Darlene; his daughter, Karla (Tony) Stranges, Niagara Falls, Ontario; a son, Eddie (Val) Stamborski, Pensacola, FL; granddaughter, Kayla Stamborski, Niagara Falls; his 97-year old mother, Isabelle Sessman; a sister, Betty Hoff of Buffalo; and a brother, Joe Ferrerio of New York.
All arrangements are being handled by the Taylor Funeral Home in Pinellas Park, FL. Dennis and his family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Suncoast Hospice House, in Pinellas Park, FL. At the request of the family, there will be no prior visitation.

LOCKPORT — Millicent June Pils, age 87, of Ransomville, passed away at Briody Health Care Facility on March 22, 2013. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 5, 1925, daughter of the late Carl and Isabella Schultz. June graduated salutatorian, class of 1941 from Youngstown, (Red Brick School), High School, at age 15. During the war she worked for Moore Business Forms. She married Donald Pils and left the workplace to raise a family. Later she became a part owner of Lakeside Market in Wilson, NY, until retiring in 1982. In retirement she became a Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener and made many friends working at Goodman's Farm Market making flower pots and advising customers. When the weather turned cold, she turned to her needlework, crocheting and mastered quilting, including the unique "Cathedral Window" design. Her extensive travel took her throughout Europe. She walked on the glacier in Alaska, climbed the Acropolis, and rode the Grande Canal in Venice.

June is survived by her sons, Terry (Mickey) Pils, Corry (Velma Hooker) Pils; brother, Carl, "Cam" (Joyce) Schultz and sister-in-law, Judy Schultz; four grandchildren, eight great-grand- children and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Elmer, "Pete" Schultz and Noel Schultz. She is fondly remembered by her dear friend, Orma Ullrich Lee of Terry, MS.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 20, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 220 Young St., Wilson, NY. All are welcomed to share their memories over lunch immediately following. June gifted her body to the UB School of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ransomville Free Library are appreciated.

ALBION —
Sheila M. Haynes of Albion, NY, formerly of Middleport, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Medina Memorial Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Haynes was born in Albion, NY on June 9, 1953 daughter of the late Edmund and Mary (VerCruysse) Edward. She was a homemaker who lived in Middleport most of her life. She enjoyed her family, her grandchildren and also crocheting.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor Haynes in 2010. She is survived by two children Vicky (Ernest) Gursslin of Albion and Victor (Wendy) Haynes of Gasport; four grandchildren, Zoey Haynes, Britnie Gursslin, Ernest Gursslin and Sheila Gursslin. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Robert (Vita) VerCruysse, Louis (Judy) VerCruysse, Florence Shafer and Ruth Leno; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials to Medina Memorial Healthcare, East Wing would be appreciated by the Haynes family. Arrangements by the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, Middleport, NY.

GRAND ISLAND — Victoria Pytlik, of Grand Island, NY, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 11, 2011, in her 96th year, at a People, Inc. Residence, after a lengthy illness.

Daughter of the late Albert and Johanna (nee Swaltek) Pytlik; sister of the late Mary Machinski, Peter Pytlik, Anna Pytlik, Josephine Winters and Frances Odrzywolski; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family will be present on THURSDAY, April 14th from 10-11 AM at the SABER FUNERAL HOME, 549 Oliver St., North Tonawanda (692-0271), where a prayer service will be offered at 11:00 AM. Msgr. Thomas Crane officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
