| 4003 | Brandon Lee Jacobs - Red Lakes Ojibway - (March 25, 1976) of Niagara Falls, NY left us on October 12, 2022. He loved life, his family, and the arts. He loved drawing and doing tattoos. Brandon also liked to cook and share his love for friends and family through food. In his early years Brandon was employed as a tattoo artist. He was very artistic. When not tattooing he made all of the family banner signs for family events and art. Brandon adored his nephew, Lenny, and he took over the responsibility for him. Brandon has remained a major influence throughout Lenny's life after the passing of his father. He lived the fullest of lives with the most positive outlook in all aspects of his 46 years on this Earth. Brandon passed away so suddenly without any of us expecting it. We would never imagine that we would lose him so young and so soon. Brenda worked the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo, Niagara Hospice House and Schoellkopf Nursing Care Facility. She loved attending concerts and listening to music (especially 1980’s bands) and loved men with long hair. She is survived by two daughters: Jessica (Sierra) Pike-Wile and Brittany Wile, her cherished granddaughter Kristin Jaylene Iacovitti and loving Goddaughters Lydia Young and Briana Morring, who she treated as her own. A volunteer at Solomon's Cellar (Hotel Inc.), Habitat for Humanity, and a member of the Ladies Municipal Golf Association and Indian Hills Bowling League. She had been in failing health sinee last fall, .when she had a shock. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Annis, and she was born in Redfield, N. Y., 67 years ago. About 1870 she was united in marriage with Eli Tilbe. They resided in this town in the Amasa Hill District for quite a number of years, removing to the town of Sangerfield on the West place which he managed for several years. About eleven years ago they.removed to North Brookfield, his death occurring ten years ago last April at this place. The deceased is survived by two sons, Lura and Albert, of Clayville, and two brothers, Dat Annis of Tonawanda and Albert Annis of North Bay, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at one o'clock Friday afternoon in the Baptist church. Two of our young ladies, Miss Sarah, Simmons and Miss Catherine Barnes, brought in some fine flowers which they arranged very tastefully, as a token of respect to the departed. There was a good attendance of relatives and friends to pay their last respects to the deceased. The services were conducted by the Rev. Charles Shumway of Brookfield. The music was by Mrs. H. C. Burhyte and Mrs. Roland Sweet, who sang three numbers: "When Fades the Light," "After," and "The Nearer the Sweeter." | 4048 | Bruce Burns, age 79, of Grand Island, NY, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston. Born on October 7, 1940 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Frank and Ruth (Scotland) Burns. Bruce attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School. In 1963 he married the former Maria Perno in St. Joseph Church, Niagara Falls. Bruce was the son-in-law of Frank, Edith and Betty Perno. He proudly served for the United States Army until his Honorable discharge in 1964. Bruce began work as a Chemical Operator for Hooker Chemical and then the Local #129 Plumbers and Steamfitters. In 1986 he went to the New York State Power Authority and worked as a mechanic until his retirement in 2006. Bruce was very athletic during High School, playing various sports. Following school, he enjoyed playing competitive fastpitch for several teams and won the New York State Fast Pitch Championship with the Stadium Grill team. Bruce was also an avid golfer and had a love for the game and played in several local competitive leagues. In 2002 he was proud of being inducted to the Niagara Falls Old Timers Hall of Fame for his years of playing various sports in the area. He also enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees. Above all, his love was spending time with family and friends. Bruce is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maria Burns; his loving son, Bruce M. Bruce had been professional firefighter for the North Tonawanda Fire Department, he retired as a Captain after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Tonawanda Island Launch Club and a life-long member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Bruce loved traveling, boating, golf and bowling. Beloved husband of Alice (Beyea) Ellman. | 4050 | Bruce F. Gorzka, age 69, born April 3, 1953 to Edward Gorzka and Vera (Tuttle) Tontoli in Niagara Falls, NY, died suddenly at home on September 26, 2022. Bruce was a lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara and a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield in 1972. He worked at Delphi Harrison for 30 years as serviceman departmental. Bruce was also a longtime member and past president of the Town of Niagara Lions Club. Bruce and his wife, Shelley, enjoyed having vacationed throughout the United States and Europe, visiting more than 18 countries. His favorite being Venice, Italy and his most adventurous being an African Safari. In addition to the love of his life, Shelley (Brown) Gorzka, who he was married to for 25 years, Bruce is survived by a son, Keith Gorzka of Blandburg, PA; step-daughter, Julie Clark (Walter) of the Town of Niagara, NY and step-son, Ryan Clark (Yulia) of Baden-Baden, Germany; two grandchildren, Jordan Gorzka and Keigan Gorzka; brothers, Randy (Barbara) Gorzka and Rod (Kathy) Gorzka; his special cousin, Matthew Gorzka; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be on Monday, October 3 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
