Schoenfedt, 91, formerly of 132 Hagan Ave., died Saturday evening (July 29, 1961) at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a foreman in various lumber mills in this city for the greater part of his life. Later, he was employed as a custodian in the city schools system prior to retiring in 1946. Mr. Schoenfeldt was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Electric City Lodge No. 663, IOOF, and of the Golden-Age Club. He was a native of Germany, but had lived in this city 90 years. His wife, the former Mary Westphal, died in June 1951. Surviving are a son, Alfred F. Schoenfeldt, this city; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Heinback, Tonawanda; eight grand-children and 15 great-grand-children. The funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Hamp Funeral Home by Rev. Burton L. Baseler. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park. A. Witkop SANBORN - Benjamin A. Witkop, 71, of 3045 Upper Mountain Road, this community, died Thursday (June 11, 1964) in Mount View Hospital, Lockport, after a long illness. Born in the Town of Cambria, March 17, 1893, the son of Henry and Augusta Grossman Witkop, he lived all his life on the farm where he was born until the death of his wife, Veronica Gombert Witkop, two years ago. Since that time he made his home with his children. He was employed by the State Highway Department for 20 years and retired eight years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda, and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Philip Martin and Mrs. William Strothman. both of this community; six sons, Wilbert, Robert, Norman and Kenneth Witkop, this community. Erwin Witkop, Niagara Falls, and James Witkop, North Tonawanda, two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Stoelting and Mrs, Lydia Eggert and a brother George Witkop, all of North Tonawanda; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home,Hoover Road, this community, where services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m., Sunday by Rev. Enno Schmoock. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. 490 | 1910 Census in Wyoming County, NY Niagara Gazette - 11/1969 Funeral services were held Wednesday for Edward J. Roth, 84, of 631 Third St., who died in Buffalo Friday (Oct. 31, 1969). Mr. Roth was born in Switzerland on Oct. 7, 1885, and had lived in Niagara Falls since 1901. He was employed by the Niagara Falls Power Co. from 1903 to 1950 and was a foreman when he retired,. He was a past noble grand of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 81 and was past chief patriarch of Frontier Encampment No. 99. Mr. Roth's wife, Hilda, died Jan. 10 of this year. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William Cecile Lenz, this city; a son, Alvin F. Roth, Fresno, Calif., seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Private services were held at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul R. Swank officiating. Arrangements were made by Cobler's Funeral Home.
