He attended Michigan State University for law enforcement. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1962. Don was a Niagara County Sheriff for 31 years, retiring as the Undersheriff in 1993. He was instrumental in the planning, fundraising and building of ENH Reflection Recovery Center, E911 system for Niagara County and the Niagara County Law Enforcement Academy. He was a former member of the executive board for the American Red Cross. Member of the Niagara County Sheriffs Alumni Association and the Dale Association. Don enjoyed sports especially basketball, hockey and football. Donald is survived by his wife of 26 years; Molly (Turgeon) Plant; his sons; Michael (Carol) Plant and Robert (Cheryl) Plant; brother of Karen and the late Jean Morreau and Robert Plant. 5702 | Donald E. Ryan passed away on Friday June 16, 2023 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Lockport on July 29, 1938 he was the son of the late Percy and Winifred Bloom Ryan. Don served in the US Army from 9/28/1961 - 9/27/1967. He worked at Harrison Radiator for 33 Years, retiring in 1996. He was very active in stock car racing, and was a flag man at Lancaster Speedway for the mini-stocks. He enjoyed woodworking. He greatly enjoyed traveling (acting as the chauffeur on many of the trips). Don is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith (Reed) Ryan; father of Shawn (Lorrie) Ryan and Kevin (Cheryl) Ryan and grandfather of Shaelin Ryan. 5703 | DONALD Eckhardt PROEFROCK, age 79 of Wheatfield, NY, was called to his heavenly home on December 21, 2020 at the Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on September 12, 1941; son of the late Eckhardt and Edna (Beiswanger) Proefrock. A graduate of North Tonawanda High School, he was employed at National Fuel for forty years. Don served in the Army Reserve, was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, where he served as an usher, and on the school board. Don was also an active member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Company for 59 years, holding various offices, and a member of the Wheatfield Planning & Zoning Board for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the quality time spent with his family, especially the grandchildren, and camping with family. Don loved his Friday night outings with close friends at the fire hall, for just "one beer". He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine C. 5708 | DONALD G. MANTE, WHEATFIELD HIGHWAY CHIEF - OCT. 8, 1936 -- NOV. 23, 2004 WHEATFIELD - Donald G. Mante, who headed the Town of Wheatfield Highway Department for 22 years, died last Tuesday while on a hunting trip in Machais. He was 68. Mr. Mante was a lifelong resident of the town and worked for the Highway Department for 38 years before retiring as its elected superintendent in 1999. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also was a devoted Cleveland Browns football fan. Mr. Mante was a member of the Wheatfield Democratic Club, the Niagara County Highway Superintendents Association and the Wheatfield Seniors Club. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, the former Arlene R. Krull; a daughter, Lori Mettler of Sanborn; his mother, Mary of Wheatfield; a brother, Martin Jr. of Wheatfield; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. 5710 | Donald George LaPress, Sr. of Ransomville, NY, loving husband and father of six children, passed away at the age of 78 in Lewiston, NY on Sunday, February 16, 2020. Donald was born on April 26, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY to Charles and Lyla (Reid) LaPress. He grew up in the Town of Niagara and attended Trott Vocational School. He began his career working at Hasely Farms, Olivera Lumber and a couple of years in Oregon building the Dalles Dam. He returned to Niagara County and worked simultaneously at the Niagara Country Club and Carborundum for 14 years. In his later years, he assisted his sons with a small firewood business. On August 16, 1969, he married Linda Ruth Schmidt. Don and Linda had six children, Donald Jr., Charles, Joey, Jodie, Amy and Tracy. Big D had a passion for the outdoors, hunting, cooking and his family. He was an avid hunter with a zest for cooking and growing his own vegetables. He rarely missed an opportunity to spend quality time with his family. Even rarer was a missed clay at the trap range. His favorite pastimes were shooting trap, skeet and pistol at North Forest, Niagara Country, 3F, and LaSalle Sportsmen Clubs. He won many Top Gun competitions and shoot outs. Regardless, Big D was a huge, strong, intimidating man with a kitten-like interior which reflected in his love for his family, his greatest accomplishment. Poppy absolutely adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and never forgot to mention how proud he was of all of them. Donald was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Norman, and sister-in-law Marie (Hasley). He was born in Syracuse, NY on May 12, 1933, the son of the late Howard and Margaret (Sullivan) Carey. He served in the United States Airforce for 22 years. Mr. Carey worked for the Carborundum Company, Wheatfield as a plant operator following his retirement from the military. He also worked for Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, taking great care of them when needed. Don was a member of St. John de LaSalle RC Church and enjoyed walking the mall. 5712 | Donald H. Moshier of Youngstown, NY passed Sunday afternoon surrounded by loved ones after a short illness. He rejoins his beloved wife in the afterlife after missing her for over three years. He leaves behind his daughter Donna Moshier of Niagara Falls and younger son Michael Moshier of Youngstown, NY and rejoins his 2nd child Douglas Moshier of Ransomville in the afterlife. Don also leaves behind his sister Louise Robins who had become much closer and great friends in his later years. 5713 | Donald Howard Larrabee, 81, passed away on Saturday May 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 8, 1941, the son of Howard and Mildred (Owler) Larrabee. Don graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1959 before serving in the United States Navy. He went on to receive his AAS in Chemistry from NCCC. Don spent most of his career at TAM Ceramics until his retirement in 2003.Don and his wife Suzanne (Hickox) Larrabee were married on March 10, 1962, and together they were blessed with three children. The couple settled in Niagara Falls but continued to spend many of their summer days at the family property on Lake Ontario. The pair built their retirement home on that property and Don enjoyed his daily walks along the beach.Don was a long-time member of Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church until it disbanded and now is a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Youngstown, NY. For many years, Don was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America acting as Institutional Representative with the troops at Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church. He also was an amateur radio operator, WB2UQA, and member of Lockport ARA. Don was a skilled handyman and tinkerer and put his skilled hands to use supporting the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum in his retirement. He was also a member of the Vintage Aircraft Group that is now associated with the Niagara Aerospace Museum. Don’s love of planes and flying resulted in him getting his Private Pilot’s license at age 55. Don and Sue loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to beautiful destinations with beloved friends and family. Don is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his three children, Diana J. Larrabee (Lawrence Williams), William D. Larrabee (Elizabeth), and Beth S. Keiper (Keith); and five grandchildren, Matthew, Owen, Jacob, James, and Addison. Murphy, 90, born August 22, 1927 peacefully left this world on July 19, 2018 at Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls, NY, while under the most compassionate care of both their staff and that of Hospice of Niagara County. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn A. (Boyle), his children Dianne M. (Mark) Strickland, Michael P. (Karmell Macoretta) Murphy, Mary Sharon (Samuel, Jr.) Cassano, Matthew P. (Carolyn Warda) Murphy, and his beloved grandchildren Michael P. Murphy II, Marcus James (Nitzya Galaviz) Murphy, Francis Michael Murphy and great-granddaughter Madelyn Grace Murphy, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Anna (Clarke) Murphy, and his only sibling, William (late Esther) Murphy. Donald spent most of his childhood as a resident of Father Baker’s Orphanage in Lackawanna, NY. He attended Our Lady of Victory Academy where he graduated from high school. During that time, he played on the OLV basketball team. He and Marilyn were married on June 16, 1956 and were lifelong residents of the City of Niagara Falls, NY. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1945-1949 aboard the USS Topeka as a second-class petty officer during WWII in the South Pacific, where he received the WWII Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He spent 39 years working for Niagara Junction Rail and Conrail, as both break-man and engineer, happily retiring in 1989. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything else. He took great pride in being the family jokester and top administrator of sarcasm and jest. He will be greatly missed, and remembered as a hard-working and generous man, who took wonderful care of his family. Visitation will be held on Friday July 20th from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. 5717 | Donald J. Weinheimer of Pendleton, NY, 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, under the care of his family and the Visiting Nurses Association at Hospice House in Lockport, NY. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on January 2, 1954, the son of the late Edward F. and Elizabeth D. [Stowell] Weinheimer. He graduated from Starpoint Central School in 1972 and Niagara County Community College in 1974 with an Associates Degree in drafting technology. Mr. Weinheimer was employed by Mesch Engineering, of Lockport, for 7 years and then as a contract designer in the Engineering Department at the Dupont Co. chemical plant in Niagara Falls, for 36 years. He was a member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company for the past 41 years, where he served as chairman of the bar and Bingo committees, Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer of the fire company. He was also Past Treasurer of the Shawnee Exempt Benevolent Assoc. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara [Miller] Weinheimer, three daughters Jennifer Weinheimer, LaRissa (Brandon) Mante and Lindsay (Matt) Moore, his beloved grandchildren Iris and Zander Mante, a brother David (Rebeca) Weinheimer, two sisters Carol (John) Pierce and Ann (David) Martinez, nephews Richard (Heather) Reinard, Jeffrey (Kelly) Reinard, nieces Mary Beth (Ian) Kesterson and Tina Weinheimer and was brother-in- law of Keith Miller and Maureen (Jody) Hand. He graduated from Trott Vocational High School and later earned an Associate’s Degree from Kelly Business School. On May 13, 1972, he married Christine E. (Myrtle) Booth in Niagara Falls. Donald served proudly in the United States Army from 1971 until his honorable discharge in 1974, and was stationed in Fort Hood, TX. After his service, he was a member of the American Legion. Donald was employed as a Laser Machinist for Vishay Thin Film in Niagara Falls, NY for over 30 years until his retirement in 2017. Donald enjoyed working with his hands, especially photography and on computers. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading, and cherished the time he spent with his family. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Donald is survived by his children, Donald L. (Shannon) Booth, Jr. and Le Anna (John II) Dale; his grandchildren, Benjamin Booth, Willow Booth, Cadence Booth, Jackson Booth, Jules Dale, and Morgan Dale; his siblings, Jerome (Lisa) Booth, Donna (George) Hardy and Laura (Will) Waier, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, trapper, and fisherman. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. 5720 | Donald M. Liddell, 85, a lifelong resident of the Town of Newfane, passed away October 4th, 2015, at the Newfane Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Donald was born November 20th, 1929, the son of the late Burt J. Liddell and Ferne E. (Miles) Liddell, and was the brother of the late Joyce A. Liddell. He was a 1947 graduate of Newfane High School, and received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Clarkson College of Technology in 1951. After graduation, he began active duty in the U.S. Army, including service in Korea during the conflict there, ending his term of duty as a 1st Lieutenant. In 1953, Donald married Marjorie H. Pascoe, and together they raised four children, their marriage lasting until Mrs. Liddell’s death in 2009. Mr. Liddell worked as a civilian employee of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, for 33 years. During that time he rose to the position of Chief of Engineering, and made important contributions to such projects as the Mt. Morris Dam, the St Lawrence Seaway, and the 1969 dewatering of the American side of Niagara Falls. He was a member of the International Joint Commission, and in 1988 was inducted to the Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees of the Buffalo District. Donald spent his retirement years working as a tour guide and military interpreter at Old Fort Niagara, in Youngstown, NY. Mr. Liddell was a lifelong and devoted member of the Newfane United Methodist Church, where he served for many years as a Sunday school teacher, lay leader and lay preacher. He was a past member of the board of directors of Camp Asbury, and a former Dean of the Methodist Men’s Retreat, which was held there each year. He also was an active member of Newfane Lodge 947, Free and Accepted Masons, receiving their Dedicated Service Award in 2007. In 1925 he graduated from Trott High School in Niagara Falls. After high school, Don enlisted in the Navy and served on a submarine in the Pacific during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge after the war, he returned to Niagara Falls and enjoyed a long and successful career with Dupont. Upon his retirement Don and Dorothy settled in Mooresville, NC. Don was an active veteran attending numerous submarine reunions in Galveston, TX and other activities honoring veterans in Richards Coffee Shop in Mooresville. He was the last surviving member of his WWII submarine crew. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by Dorothy Haseley his wife of 66 years; one sister and two brothers. 5729 | Donald Schneck (1932 - 2011) Donald Victor Schneck Wappingers Falls - Donald Victor Schneck, 78, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at home in the loving care of his wife, family, friends, aides, and Hospice of Dutchess County. With courage and bravery, he fought a long battle with cancer. Don was born in Buffalo, New York on October 11, 1932 to Victor and Esther Schroer Schneck. He attended public schools in Buffalo and graduated from Erie County Technical Institute. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Tokyo General Hospital in Japan. His main employment was IBM at various locations in the country, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed singing, playing the organ, piano and trumpet, gardening, photography, family gatherings and vacations on the coast of Maine. Don served in a number of churches in various positions including Luther League President, Sunday School teacher, and student and then teacher of the Bethel Bible Series. He has been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsie since 1965, where he also held a number of positions including President of the Church Council. With his wife, Esther, they hosted an in home Prayer, Praise and Bible Study Group for fifteen years under the name of "For Such a Time As This." He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, the former Esther Kroening, whom he married August 18, 1956 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Walmore, New York. He spent most of his years living in Lockport till coming to Newfane. Bill was a member of the Niagara Falls area American Legion he also spent many years as a volunteer member of the Wrights Corners Fire Co. Bill was an honorably discharged World War II veteran serving in the Marine Corps. from 1944 to 1946 where he was awarded the Purple heart for his service. 5736 | Donald Wayne Hicks, age 78, beloved husband, father, and granddaddy died on October 5, 2018. He was born to Artsel and Virgie (Johnson) Hicks in Bristol, VA on February 22, 1940. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965 in Niagara Falls, NY where he met and married Karen (Haseley) Hicks on August 6, 1966. In 1971, they moved to Bristol, TN where he was employed and later retired from Ball Corporation. He enjoyed car racing, hunting, and golfing, as well as RV traveling and Airstream camping. His parents and his beloved daughter, Melinda Jenkins, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Rebecca Whittemore (Matthew), and sons Jonathan Hicks (Renita), Christopher Hicks, and son-in-law H. Neff Jenkins; grandchildren Luke, Kelly, and Avery Jenkins, Colin and Mallory Whittemore; and brother Jack Hicks (Marian). 5737 | Donald William Wendt, formerly of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009, in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born April 20, 1920, in Sanborn, NY, the son of William B. and Grace E. Wendt. Mr. Wendt attended grade school at St. Andrews Lutheran School and LaSalle High School and Trott vocational school. He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers attached to the Air Force from 1942 until 1946 in the Azores' Islands. He was also stationed at Eniwetok, Saipan, Tinian Island and Okinawa. After being honorably discharged he was employed for 42 years as an Engineer for the Niagara Junction Railway and later Conrail, retiring in December of 1981. Mr. Wendt, together with his beloved wife, Dorothy became successful entrepreneurs in the opening of Wendt's Propane Gas in 1952. The company was a major supplier of propane gas to the massive Robert Moses Power Project on the Niagara River in the early sixties as well as many local customers. He was a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sanborn for many years and then joined The First Assembly of God Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Wendt was very fond of traveling, gardening, construction, hunting and fishing. He was the husband of fifty-four years to the late Dorothy Helen (Walck) Wendt, who died in January of 2006. Together they are the parents of Gary (Jacquelyn) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Douglas ( Marion) of Grand Rapids, MI and Susan of Lockport, NY; three brothers, Glenn (Jean), Kenneth (Dianne), Forrest (late Gail) Wendt; a sister, Gracelyn (late John) Bilek, all of Sanborn, NY; brother-in-law of Norine and Darla Wendt; also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marvin (Ruth), Bertram and William Wendt, Jr. The family will be receiving friends and family at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Rd., SANBORN, NY, on Friday, from 2 -4 and 7-9 PM. 5738 | Donald Wurl of North Tonawanda passed away on June 7, 2017 at the age of 78. Don graduated from North Tonawanda Senior High School where he excelled in sports, winning the Niagara Frontier League points title as a HB for the football team. He was also an avid bowler and had many 700 game series and one perfect 300 game. He loved the game of golf too and could always be found during the summer months playing a round at Deerwood. Don worked at the N. Tonawanda Public works as a Foreman for 35 years. His employment with the city was put on hold for two years as he served in the Army. He was a volunteer fireman at Rescue Fire Hall, and lifelong member there for 58 years. Don also was a member of the American Legion. Additionally, after his first battle with throat cancer he became a volunteer driver for Roswell Park shuttling patients to and from their appointments. Donald is survived by his 4 children Andrew (Tracie) Wurl, Alan (Kathy) Wurl, Nicholas Wurl, Charles Wurl; His sister Dolores (Wurl) Ackerman, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and was proceeded by his wife Carole (Waliszewski) Wurl and brother Douglas Wurl. There will be a Memorial service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd, N. Tonawanda at 3:00 PM Friday June 16. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Sabatino and Immaculata (Quaglia) Giancola. He married Antoinette “Dedy” (Damiano) Giancola on May 22, 1948 in St. Joseph’s Church. Antoinette passed away on May 6, 2016. Danny was employed with the Nabisco Shredded Wheat Co. for 44 years and retired in the early 1980’s. Mr. Giancola was a lifelong parishoner of St. Joseph’s Church and a member of their Holy Name Society, Ushers Club and Legion of Mary Societies. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, Altar Server and the Church Porter at St. Joseph’s Church. Danny also volunteered at St. Joseph’s Church serving door to door for Catholic Charities and bingo. He was the recipient of the Diocese of Buffalo’s St. Joseph the Worker Award and the Pine Avenue Business Association’s Cittadile Speciale Award. Danny was a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center for 34 years up until 2018 serving the coffee cart and known there for wearing a numerous selection of hats while volunteering to cheer up the patients and also for making Boo Boo Bunnies for the children. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister at Memorial Medical Center and Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born on January 31, 1932 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Myrtle (Esslie) Marshall. On June 6, 1953, Donna married Robert L. Borks. He predeceased her on May 19, 2008. Mrs. Borks attended schools in Buffalo and graduated from Lafayette High School. Donna worked for the former Courier-Express until her marriage to Robert in 1953. In 1959, she moved to Youngstown, NY with her family. For 30 years, Mrs. Borks worked as a Teacher's Aide for the Lewiston-Porter School District, until her retirement in 1995. Donna served as a volunteer, each week on Wednesday, for the American Red Cross at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of Niagara Frontier Bible Church. She and Greg were married on June 18, 1977 in Cottage Grove MN. Donna and Greg lived in several different locations in the Cottage Grove and St Paul Park area then finally moved to Osceola. Donna worked part time at Wrights Cafe as a waitress and later at 3M, and Eastman Kodak, as a Technical Assembler for numerous years. Donna loved the west side of WI area outdoors as well as the people there. She was very active at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osceola WI. She enjoyed being in the Psalmodikon Musical Instrument Group while playing the Psalmodikon, also enjoyed helping people in need when she could, doing Gardening, attending Car Shows, fishing, very devoted to our golden retriever Dusty and very noted for her specialized Craft Work but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and being a loving mother and wife. 5747 | Donna Jeanne (nee Keppen) Zellner Neal went to be with the Lord of her life and the relatives, friends and pets who predeceased her, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Born at 189 South Niagara Street in the City of Tonawanda on April 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Mary (nee Cudak) Keppen; granddaughter of Louis and Gertrude (nee Fromm) Keppen Fire, and Frank and Eva (nee Mozdzierz) Cudak, and her step-grandfather, Ralph Fire, Sr.. She was predeceased by her husband, Franklin Zellner, Jr., and by her firstborn grandchild, Scott DiNatale. She was a 1958 graduate of Tonawanda High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and was 1958 THS Class Valedictorian. Since September 10, 2003, she had been a full-time volunteer, founding Director, Executive Director, and Trustee of the North Tonawanda History Museum. In 2012, she was honored as an Unsung Hero by the General Pulaski Foundation, nominated for the YWCA of Niagara Tribute to Niagara Award, and was honored as a Woman of Distinction by the Tonawanda News. Although she stated that the most important role in her life had been that of a mother, she lived a full life, which always included music; a special lifelong love of dogs - having had four Chihuahuas; gardening and landscaping; houseplants; photography; and annual and often more frequent trips to Allegany State Park and other similar sites in New York State with her children and later with grandchildren. In addition to her role as founder and Executive Director and Corporate Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the North Tonawanda History Museum, she edited a number of books on the history of North Tonawanda. She is survived by three daughters, Teresa Zellner DiNatale, Catherine Zellner Triviz, and Priscilla Zellner Neal, all of North Tonawanda; four sons, Michel (Doreen Mather) Zellner, Sr. of Corfu, Frank (Carolyn Rogers) Zellner of the City of Tonawanda, Kurt Zellner of the Town of Tonawanda, and John Zellner (Danielle Oney) Neal of North Tonawanda. She is also survived by grandchildren, Valerie DiNatale (Mario) Caracas, Scott DiNatale, II, Matthew (Tiffany) DiNatale, Sr., Michael (Kristine) Zellner, Jr., Jessica Zellner, Zachary Triviz, Sara Triviz, Jesse Zellner, Jared Zellner, Ella Neal, and Callista Neal; and by great-grandchildren, Angelina Caracas, Dominic Caracas, Amelia DiNatale, Evan DiNatale, Matthew DiNatale, Jr., Ava Zellner, Landon Zellner, Lucas Zellner, and Sadie DiNatale; and her Chihuahua, Casper. She was born February 17, 1942, the daughter of the late Mervin and Rachel Rankie. Donna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. She loved the times she spent with her dear family and friends, including breakfasts at Jay's Place and her ice cream from Hoover's Dairy. Donna was predeceased by her husband, Raymond F. Swann in 2010 and a sister, Nancy Poteet. She is survived by her two children, LuAnn (Beryl) Coleman and Brian (Kristin Johnson) Swann; her step grandchildren; and step great-grandchildren; many wonderful friends, Carol, Izzy, Louise, Yvonne and Max; her wonderful neighbors, whom she thought of as family, Lysle and Betsy Newberry. Donna graduated from Madonna High School in 1969 and obtained her Associate’s degree in Computer Science from Niagara County Community College. On August 30, 1975 she married her beloved husband, John S. Maluchnik at St. Joseph’s Church. Donna was employed by Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in all aspects of Patient Accounting for many years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed solving word puzzles, as well as cooking and baking. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. In addition to her husband of 49 years, she is survived by her two daughters, Crystal L. Maluchnik Esq. and Michele N. Maluchnik (Andrew Rzucidlo); two siblings, Matthew (Brenda) Yorio, Carol Ann (Jeff) Reeley; her lifelong best friend Angelo D’Aloise Jr., as well as several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two siblings, Michael (Betty) Yorio and Louis (Loreli) Yorio. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23 from 4 – 8 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:15 AM, followed by Donna’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
