6151 Eileen M. Haak passed away June 13, 2024 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  Born August 13, 1947 in Niagara Falls she was the daughter of Elwin and Margaret (O’Grady) Newman.  Eileen worked for 32 years at Cornerstone Credit Union in Middleport retiring in 2006.  She enjoyed going to the casino, attending yard sales, camping, bowling, always up for a party and especially spending time with her family.
Eileen is survived by her husband of 56 years Gary E. Haak; children David E. (Kimberly) Haak and Susan E. (Matthew Sr) McKee; grandchildren Matthew Jr., Jessica, Adam, Cameron, Kaitlynn, Emily, and Matthew; sisters Esther (late Phillip) Walker and Margaret “Molly” (Donald) Manson; in-laws Sharon Mathews and Ronald (Anne) Haak also several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her other siblings Beatrice White, Jean Filipovich, Carl Newman, Martha Roth; and in-laws Marilyn Parm and Douglas Haak Sr.

6152 Eileen M. Peters, 94, of Wheatfield, formerly of Remington, passed away at 5:12 pm, Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.
She was born May 16, 1920 in Wolcott to the late Amos & Lena (Bergeron) Mathew and was a 1939 graduate of Wolcott High School. She also was a graduate of business college.
Her marriage was to Maurice Peters on November 22, 1945 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Remington. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1998.
Mrs. Peters worked as a Bookkeeper for Siemens Insurance Agency in Medaryville for many years until retiring.
She was a longtime member of St. Henry Parish in Medaryville and former members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Remington.
Surviving are two sons Mike Peters of Wabash, IN and Greg Peters (Wife: Amy) of Pittsburgh, PA; a brother, Marvin Mathew of Wolcott and a sister-in-law Catherine Nagele of Sheldon, IL. Eileen loved spending time with her family, especially her 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death with her parents and husband are two sisters, Marion Mullins and Rosella Nowviskie and a brother, Virgil Mathew.

6153 Elaine J. Pfohl, age 79 of Niagara Falls, NY, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 11, 2017, in Niagara Hospice House, Town of Lockport, NY. Born in Town of Niagara, NY on February 14, 1938, daughter of the late William and Frances (Walck) DeVantier. 
Elaine was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family and her flowers. She was a very active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, in Sanborn, where she loved singing hymns.
Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Melvin, of 60 years; three children, Donna (Robert) Knights of Penfield, NY, Barbara Walck of Sanborn, NY, and Gary (Karen) Pfohl of Asheboro, NC; four grandchildren, Lindsey Knights, Laura Knights, Megan (Peter) Fendt, and Jenna Walck. She is survived by her sister, Virginia DeVantier and predeceased by her sister, Mabel Beutel.

6154 Elaine Joyce Brunn, of Niagara Falls, NY, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Clifton. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, where she attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was predeceased by her first husband, Carson B. Demmin in 1972.
Locally, Elaine was Past Matron O.E.S. #658. Past member of Order of Amaranth. Past member of Beta Sigma Psi and an Executive Secretary at Deaconess Hospital, Buffalo, NY. She then married John A. Brunn on November 25, 1977 and moved to Florida. While in Florida, she was a volunteer at Englewood Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She was also a member of B.P.O. Elks Club #2378, B.P.O. "Does Auxiliary." Past member of Aqua Bells Synchronized Swim team, Englewood, FL, and member of American Legion Post #133, Rotunda, FL. Elaine enjoyed tennis, bowling and dancing.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna D. Wilson of Niagara Falls, NY, and Denise J. Hosie of Starksville, MS; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Jason) Hayek of Bloomington, IL, Wendy (Scott) Strassburg of Wheatfield, NY, Peter A. Wilson of Eden, NY, and Sean Hosie of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Bates of Wisconsin; step-son, James R. Brunn; step-daughters, Judith Dudley and Jerrine Neff. She was predeceased in death by her husband, John (1992) and brothers, Ernie, Arthur and Albert Clifton.
There will be no prior visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family.

6155 Elaine L. (Wackett) Zimmerman, 72, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Julia (Harris) Wackett.Elaine was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. In 1952, she married Harold A. "Zimmy" Zimmerman, Jr. in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Zimmerman predeceased her on January 25, 2009. Elaine was employed at the Globar Division of the Carborundum Co., in Niagara Falls, for thirty eight years, where she had served as a union steward and officer for their credit union. Following her retirement from Carborundum, she worked as a sales associate at the Bon Ton Department Store in Niagara Falls. Elaine was also a volunteer worker for the Niagara County Board of Elections, and in her leisure time enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening and crocheting. Above all, Elaine took great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren.Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by her three children, Keith H. Zimmerman, Darla E. (Kenneth) McCormick and Judy L. Hertel, all of Niagara Falls, NY; and was predeceased by one daughter, Melody (Mike of Burlington, Ontario, Canada) Salfi. 6156 Elaine M. Trippensee, 88, of Middleport, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23rd, 2018 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lulu (Winchell) Trippensee.
Elaine was raised on her family’s farm, Trippensee Garden’s, where she became immersed in agricultural and floral design. She sold flower bouquets and planters at the City Market of North Tonawanda and other local markets. She was extremely hardworking and enjoyed spending time with her customers and friends.
Elaine is survived by her grandson, Robert Mott; two siblings, Maxine Trippensee and Roswald Trippensee, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Dawn W. Mott and brother Royce Trippensee.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 28th from 2 – 4 at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be celebrated at 4:00 P.M. 6157 Elaine Sharon Bishop Wagner, wife of the late Thomas A. Wagner, went home to the Lord Jesus, who she loved with all her heart on April 17th.  Born on April 1, 1941, she graduated from Doyle Beauty School in Buffalo at the age of 16. She went on to work at The Sample and at Vera Whiting's Beauty Salon on East Avenue. She married Tom on December 12, 1962 and became a stay at home mom to her beloved children.
Elaine is survived by a son, Tracy (Gina) Wagner and a daughter, Sharon (Richard) Evans. Grandmother to Aaron and Alaina Wagner and Cory and Krista Evans. She also leaves behind two sisters, Donna Kleinhans and Sue (Robert)Gillings and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Duane Bishop.

She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 7, 1944, the daughter of the late Elmer and Loella [Trudeau] Pressley.
Mrs. Beecher graduated from Niagara Wheatfield in 1962 and was an operator with New York Telephone for several years.
She had lived in Sanborn and  Youngstown before moving to Bradenton in 2003. 
Mrs. Beecher enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Ross Beecher, two daughters Denise (Jack) Savage and Marlene (James) Cardinale, four grandchildren Chelsea, Cody, Colin and Jimmy, a great grandson Jimmy and was the sister of Doreen (Barry) Melton and Eric (Marie) Pressley, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her family will be present on Saturday from 2-5 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.

6161 Elanda (Ventresca) Del Zoppo, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at her residence on January 10, 2018. Born in Introdacqua, Abruzzo, Italy, she was the loving daughter of the late Giovanni and Rosina (Centofanti) Ventresca. 

Elanda immigrated to Niagara Falls at the age of 2 with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948. On June 17, 1950, she married her highschool sweetheart, Rocco Del Zoppo, at St. Joseph's Church and spent 58 memorable years together until his passing on April 19, 2009. 

Elanda began her career with the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a stenographer in the late 1940's, and later as a Home School Partner at LaSalle Senior High from 1983 until 1993. During that time, she was also employed as a waitress at the Como Restaurant for 32 years until retiring in 1992. Elanda always wanted to be a teacher. Even though she didn't have a degree, she impacted hundreds of students as a volunteer in her son Gerrys classroom, where she was affectionately known as GRANDMA. Elanda indeed became a tremendous, loving teacher and cherished every moment. In 2010, Elanda was awarded the Parent/Agency Support Recognition Award from the Niagara Falls Board of Education, and in 2015 the Community Service Award from the Niagara Falls Teacher's in recognition of all her contributions. 

Mrs. DelZoppo was a longtime parishioner and choir member of Prince of Peace Church, as well as a dedicated member of her class of 1948 reunion committee. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and vacationing in Old Forge, NY with her family. Elanda always looked forward to countless family gatherings and celebrations both in her home and elsewhere. She treasured her relationships with many cousins including the, Zuccari, Perricelli and Eugeni families, and lifelong friends, John and Dorothy Manfredo 

Mrs. DelZoppo is survived by her four sons, Robert (Patricia) Del Zoppo, David (Linda)Del Zoppo, Gerald (Gail) Del Zoppo and John (Ruth) Del Zoppo; eight grandchildren,Daniel and Leanne Del Zoppo, Rocco and David Del Zoppo, John Del Zoppo, Ben (Stacey)Del Zoppo, Tessa and Noelle Del Zoppo, five great-grandchildren, Breeanna,Gian, Evan, Ryan and Remi, two brothers, Anthony (Donna) Ventresca, John Ventresca and was predeceased by an infant brother, Anthony Ventresca. She is also survived by several nieces,nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at M.J. 6164 Eleanor "Honey" (Kwasniak) Krzystek, 91 years old of North Tonawanda, passed away on August 21, 2020 at Northgate Health Care Facility while under the care of Hospice.  She was born in Niagara Falls on October 9, 1928, the daughter of the late Julian andIda (Szczes) Kwasniak.​Honey and her late husband, Walter, operated Walt's Deli on the corner of Payne Avenue and Ward Road inNorth Tonawanda for many years.  She was a seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for herself and her children.  Honey loved to play her accordian and she lived to tell a joke.  ​Honey was predeceased by her husband,Walter J. 6165 Eleanor (nee Bobenread) Kimberle, age 95, of North Tonawanda, died Monday, June 22, 2015 at DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Minnie (nee Jendrian) Bobenread and had worked at Sears & Roebuck in Buffalo. She was the wife of the late Norman F. Kimberle, Sr., who died January 18, 1986.

She is survived by her children, Shirley (Bill) Eller of Avondale, Pennsylvania, Diane (late Reno) Vaillancourt of North Tonawanda, Marilyn Kimberle of North Tonawanda, and Norman Kimberle, Jr. of Amherst; and her sister, Elma (Francis) Wyland of Florida. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Friday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. 6166 Eleanor E. (Lange) Moll, age 97, of Wheatfield, NY, was called to her heavenly home on March 16, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Norman Moll.
Survivors include four children, Claudia Moll of Marietta, GA, Sheila Moll (Greg Davis) of Lewiston, Barry Moll of Sanborn, and Randy (Debra) Moll of Scio, NY; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, William Lange of Grove City, PA. Also predeceased by a brother, Norbert Lange; and sister, Gertrude Krull.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach on Saturday, March 25th at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will be present at the church from 10-11 AM preceding the service to meet with friends. attended Holy Ghost Lutheran School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was united in marriage to Marvin E. Werth on August 16th, 1958 in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. June was the secretary of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church and School since 1970, where she was also an active member., including singing in the church choir. She was a former secretary for Branch 965 of the Aid Association for Lutherans, now known as Thrivent, and worked on many other charitable activities, including the Big Brother and Big Sister program. her hobbies and interests included crafts, computers, singing, traveling, and her grandchildren.

She was born in Bradford, PA on January 17, 1940, daughter of the late Samuel Mangel Sr. and Stasha (Bickford) Mangel. She was retired from Fisher-Price of Medina, NY. She was predeceased by her late husband William H. Haag, her son William H. Haag Jr. and two brothers, Samuel Mangel Jr. and Albert Mangel. 6170 Eleanor M. Hanes (Zastrow) passed away peacefully at home, in New Port Richey, Florida, on November 9, 2020 and has reunited with her beloved son, Kevin L. Hanes, in Heaven. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on July 21, 1943.
She is survived by her parents, LaVern and Marge Zastrow; her husband, David; daughter, Susan (Mike); daughter-in-law, Karen (OCallaghan); three grandsons, Kevin II (Jenna), Kyle (Bobbie), and Damien; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Hunter, Ella. Eleanor was the eldest of six, survived by her four sisters and brother, Linda, Connie, Valli, Kim, Ronald.

6171 Eleanor Mary (Lally) Hager, 95, born January 12, 1922, married July 25, 1941, passed away at home in Niagara Falls, NY on July 6, 2017. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High in 1941. She retired from Kmart in 1987. Eleanor was the last of ten children of the late, Frank and Maud (Miller) Lally.
She was a stay at home mom who took in ironing and seamstress work, then went to work when her 2 children were in high school. She made all of her daughters and many of her sons clothing throughout their school years. She created their Halloween costumes each year that sometimes won first prize. She made beautiful ballroom gowns and wedding dresses as well as knitted baby items. Her paintings are on display at her daughter's home. She donated many crotchet and sewing items to worthy causes. She was a multi-talented artist, athlete, seamstress, and bookkeeper. She loved to teach family and friends arts and crafts. Her many afghans warm the beds of loved ones and her artwork hangs in their homes each holiday. She was generous, big hearted and will long be remembered.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, David S. Hager Sr., who passed December 24, 2006, and her son David S. Hager Jr. who passed July 10, 2002.
She had a good life and was delighted by, and often laughed with, her loving family.
Eleanor is survived by her loving daughter Beverly Sajdak of Niagara Falls, and 3 generations of many nieces and nephews; 3 grandchildren, David Sajdak, Kathleen (Ryan) Wiepert, and Athena D (Hager) Legace; 9 great-grandchildren, Ashley and David Sajdak Jr., Anthony Giannone, Brook and Andrew Woods, Elaina and Myleigh Legace, and Branden and Cameron Wiepert.
Each day she enjoyed reading her paper, completing the crossword and celebrity cipher. She kept in touch with many nieces and nephews living around the country with letters, cards, phone calls, and often sent newspaper articles to keep them up to date. She enjoyed talking with her friends. She kept track of everyone's birthday, anniversaries, graduations, and special occasions and sent many cards of congratulations.
The family wishes to thank the many family and friends who kept her happy with visits, phone calls, letters, and cards. She will be dearly missed. We love her so.

Pfohl (DeVantier), age 93, of Wheatfield, was called peacefully to her heavenly home to be with our Lord, on Thursday, April 29, 2010, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family at her side. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on July 30, 1916 to the late Albert and Ella (Milleville) DeVantier. Elenora was baptized, confirmed and later united in marriage to Erwin G. Pfohl on October 12, 1940, in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, Bergholz. Erwin predeceased her on December 15, 1993. Elenora and Erwin became members of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Walmore, in 1940. She was very active in the church, holding various positions over the years, and with the church's Women of the Church and the Women's Quilting Group, sending hundreds of quilts to those in need in other countries. Her hobbies included sewing, playing cards, cooking and baking. Elenora's life was centered on her family and her greatest joy in life came in spending time with them. Lovingly known to many as "Gramma Peeps", she spent countless hours babysitting her great-grandchildren and taught them German prayers. She was admired by her family for her strong faith and devotion to God and her family.
Elenora was the beloved mother of Ann Kroening and Eugene (Candy) Pfohl; admired grandmother of Lynn Hebeler, Lee and Lynette Kroening, and Scott and Joelle Pfohl; cherished great-grandmother of Jarred and Brianne Hebeler, Ian, Colin and Ella Kroening, Ryan and Nicholas Pfohl. She was also predeceased by a son, Loren Pfohl in 1960; son-in- law, Albert (Jr.) Kroening in 2000; and sister, Helma Haseley in 1991.

Born in Columbia, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Otto Bruss, former pastor of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz, and Mrs. Grace (Grabau) Bruss. She was a longtime resident of the LaSalle area of the city and worked for five years as a secretary at DuPont. She was the wife of the late DonaId E. Decker. Mrs. Decker is survived by a son, Ronald Decker of Niagara Falls; a sister, Erna Mielke of Niagara Falls; and two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hoover grew up in Germany and came to the United States in 1949 and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950. She was employed as a Chemist assistant at Hooker Chemical and later worked with her husband at Hoover's Dairy for over 20 years. Mrs. Hoover was active in the PTA and as a Den Mother. She was an active member of Community Bible Church and the American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Hoover enjoyed bowling in the senior leagues, cooking and baking.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Lloyd E. Hoover, two sons Gerald L. (Janice) Hoover of Sanborn, NY and David L. (Wendy) Hoover of Clifton, AZ , five grandsons Eric (Jennifer), David J., Jeremy B., Andrew S. and Joshua J. Hoover, three great granddaughters Riley, Alexa and Amelia Hoover, also many nieces and nephews.

Elgie Craft, 79, of Mang Avenue, died Thursday (Feb. 15, 1996) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 20, 1916, in South Mahoning Township, Pa., E the son of Harry and Kathryn (Wadding) Craft. He moved to Niagara Falls in 1932.
Mr. Craft served during World War II in the U.S. Army.
He retired in 1979 as a driver and mechanic for Weber Oil, where he worked more than 40 years.
Mr. Craft was a member of the American Legion Portage Post. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and repairing cars and furniture.
He was the husband of Stella Craft, who died in 1988.
He is survived by a son, William E. Craft of Niagara Falls; two daughters, Judith Ann Kramer of North Tonawanda and Susan A. Craft of n Niagara Falls; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Ray Craft.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., where the American Legion Portage Post will hold services at 7:30 p.m. today. The Rev. Mrs. Murtaugh was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Elinor attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For 42 years, she was employed by the Carborundum Company. Mrs. Murtaugh was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Elinor enjoyed traveling and going to lunch with her friends. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.


Mrs. Murtaugh was predeceased by her husband, William Murtaugh on April 8, 1975 and four brothers, Howard, Edward, Clarence (Dorothy of Niagara Falls, NY) and Harold Jagow. Elinor is survived by nieces and nephews, Ronald (Linda) Jagow, James Jagow, Beverly (Joseph) Scalzo, Barbara (Daniel) LaBernardo, Robert Jagow, Richard (Rosalind) Jagow and Nancy (Donald) Olivero and many other nieces, nephews great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Born on September 17, 1927 in Pennsylvania, and came to Western NY in 1945. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Jackson) Severance. She was united in marriage to Melvin E. Siegmann on August 12, 1950, and he entered into rest on March 20, 2002. Elinor was a long time member of St. John Lutheran Church, in Wheatfield, was employed as a nurse's aid at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, and enjoyed reading a variety of books. 
Survivors include six children, Karen Chaffee, Gayle (John) Carmody, Laurie (Dennis) Schmidt, Eric (Lori) Siegmann, Andrew Siegmann, and Ross (Lisa) Siegmann; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Howard, Gerald, Jay, and Frank Severance; and four sisters, Geraldine Zubrikis, Loretta Siegman, Betty Martin, and Darla Herstek.

Moeller in Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport, NY. Elisabeth was raised and attended schools in Buffalo, NY. Following their marriage, Eugene and Elisabeth moved to North Tonawanda, NY. She was a congregant of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport and was very active in the North Tonawanda Fire Department Active Hose #2 as a past fireman, current exempt member and active in the former Ladies Auxiliary. Elisabeth enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Above all, she loved spending time with "the lights of her life," her grandchildren. Born on October 3, 1915 in the Town of Wheatfield, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Magdelena Hoffmeister Jagow. Elizabeth was a retired Elementary School Teacher and taught at St. Andrews, Pekin, Trinity Lutheran and St. Peter, North Ridge. She loved to teach children to read and sing. She was Co-owner and Marketer of Williams' Acres Dairy & "Own-Grown" Produce Farm in Ransomville. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, North Ridge, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was also a friend of Concordia Lutheran Church. Elizabeth was a Literacy Volunteer and enjoyed wood carving, gardening, sewing, fishing, and hunting, and loved to cook and bake. Her greatest passion was Bible Study, prayer, and sharing her Christian Faith. In 1977, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Melvin C. Williams. She was also predeceased by her son Thomas (Lorena) Williams, and two granddaughters, Brenda Brawn (Tom) Cervi and Lauries Volls (Mike) Fournier. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Nancy) Williams, Patricia (Gary) Johnston, Nancy (Richard) Reak, Timothy (Donna) Williams and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Carl) Bodie; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Victor (Betty) Jagow and sister, Marilyn (Robert) Winter and many nieces and nephews. 6189 Elizabeth "Libby" Mae Brauen (Hellert), age 88, of Gasport, entered into rest on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born on October 17, 1926 in Royalton, Libby is the daughter of the late Edward C. and Elsie M. (Mietz) Hellert. Libby married Robert Brauen on June 9, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville. Her husband, Bob Brauen, died on May 25, 1997. Together they had three children, Patricia Ann (the late Roger) Schnackel of South Carolina, Bonita Jo (Fred) Dempsey of Lockport and Steven M. (Karen) Brauen of Gasport. Dearest grandmother of Dale (Vicki) Schnackel, Todd Dempsey, Kimberly (Jason) Langhorne, Andrea (Ryan) Degenhardt, Trevor (Kate) Brauen, Tracey (Eric) Waters, Matthew (Jennifer) Brauen, and the late Michael Schnackel; and great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. Sister of Elsie Williams of Florida, Kathryn Thiel of Middleport, Ruby Schultz of West Shelby, and the late Robert Hellert, Donald Hellert, Marion Washak and Dorothy Schuler. Several nieces and nephews also survive Libby. Elizabeth worked about 15 years at FMC in Middleport in data entry. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gasport for over 50 years and served her church in the Ladies Aid group and the Evangelism Committee. She loved spending time with her family having picnics and get-togethers. She enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers. She was a member of the Wolcottsville Firemen's marching band and its auxiliary, and for many years was a Girl Scout leader. 6190 Elizabeth (nee Thomson) Dier McKenzie, 92, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on November 4, 1922 in Stevenston, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late William and May (Cook) Thomson. On December 25, 1941, she married Clarence A. Dier. He predeceased her on April 5, 1972.

Betty, as she was known to family and friends, came to Niagara Falls at the age of five. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For thirty-five years, Betty was employed as a Nurses Aide for Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church on Ward Road in North Tonawanda as well as Order of the Eastern Star. Betty had also served as President and Vice President of the McKenzie Club. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and knitting.

Betty is survived by five children, Elizabeth (Karl) Blair, Marge Cirillo, Beverly Luffman, Robert (Chris) Dier and Marilyn (late Ted) Szpara; six grandchildren, Ken Holt, Ann Cirillo, Kris Gedeon, John Luffman, Shannon Bland and Karolyn Blair; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a very special cousin, Darlene Hathaway, who was Betty's constant companion in her last days and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by one granddaughter, Jennifer Luffman and two brothers.

6191 Elizabeth A. 'Liz' Berard, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on June 22, 2016 in Naples, FL. Born in Jordan Township, PA, on January 19, 1928, a daughter of Willis and Cynthia Diehl (Eagler), she moved to Niagara Falls after graduating high school and resided there for the remainder of her life.
Liz was a homemaker providing a loving home for her husband, the late Emmett Berard, and their daughter. After he retired, she and Emmett enjoyed traveling. Church was a very important piece of her life. She served as an elder, deacon and Sunday School Superintendent over the many years of her membership with Riverside Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia 'Cindy' (John) Obey; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Stark; great-granddaughters, Emma and Anna Stark; sister, Gladys Russo; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Liz was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Miriam Tedesco, Dorothy Russo, James and Barney Diehl.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 11:00 AM at Riverside Presbyterian Church.

6192 Elizabeth A. (Skutt) Bennett Hollenbaugh, age 80, of Lockport, entered into rest on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Roswell in Buffalo. Born April 11, 1938 in Lockport, Elizabeth is the daughter of the late George and Flora (Thompson) Skutt.
She married David W. Hollenbaugh, November 4, 2009. Mr. Hollenbaugh died August 17, 2016. She worked at Harrison’s General Motors in Lockport for 30 years. Elizabeth enjoyed flower gardening, doing crafts, crafts and traveling taking her first cruise at the age of 80 and loving it.
Surviving are her children: Elizabeth (John) Taylor, Cheryl (Daniel) Shoop, Ray Bennett, Daniel (Bessie) Bennett, and the late: Andrew Bennett. Step-mother of: Linda (Douglas) Mault, Cindy (Russell) Harris and the late Peggy Keys. Sister of: Laverne (Bonnie) Skutt, Robert (Gail) Skutt, Eva (Orland) Kipp, Beverley White and the late: Audrey, Fred, George, John, Richard and Shirley. Elizabeth is also survived by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

6193 Elizabeth A. Bevacqua, 62 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Williamsville, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Betty A. (Patsolic) Bevacqua and the late Ernest W. Bevacqua.
Liz as she was affectionately known attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She later went on to receive her Bachelors Degree from Keuka College and Masters Degree from the University of Buffalo.  Liz was employed at Opportunities Unlimited in Niagara Falls for 32 years and most recently at Kalos Inc. in Niagara Falls as an Enrollment Coordinator for the last couple years.
Liz loved music and had a passion for the blues and was a gifted artist who enjoyed water color and oil painting.  In her younger years she was an avid bowler and participated in various leagues.  Above all Liz enjoyed spending precious time with her beloved family.
Along with her loving mother, Liz is survived by her siblings, Lucy (Ron) Soluri, Cynthia (Kevin) Mislin and Ernest (Danielle) Bevacqua; nieces and nephews, Ron (Amy) Soluri, Jr., Theresa (Michael) Schuey, Deena (James) Andrews, LeeAnn (Jeremy) McMaster, Keith (Tina) Mislin, Zoe Bevacqua and Gia Bevacqua; great nieces and nephews, Rachel, Michael, Lauren, Judianne, Anthony, Avery, Dylan, Seth and Ethan; dear friend Lynn Forster, an uncle, aunts, cousins and her beloved dogs Diana, Astra and Natasha.

6194 Elizabeth A. ‘Betty’ Bevacqua, 92, of Grand Island, NY, and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024 in the Erie County Medical Center. Born In Indiana County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Mriz) Patsolic. 
Betty was raised in Clymer, PA and moved to Niagara Falls in the early 1950’s. She later met and married the love of her life, Ernest Bevacqua. Together they owned and operated Betty B’s Bar & Grill on Pine Avenue and relocated to Third Street in Niagara Falls. She also worked for Opportunities Unlimited for several years.
Betty enjoyed bowling in various local leagues, as well as playing cards, cooking and baking. Above all, she loved spending time with her family who will miss her dearly.
Betty is survived by three children, Lucy (Ronald) Soluri, Cindy (Kevin) Mislin and Ernest (Danielle) Bevacqua; her grandchildren, Ron (Amy) Soluri Jr., Theresa (Michael) Schuey, Deena (James) Andrews, LeeAnn (Jeremy) McMaster, Keith (Tina) Mislin, Zoya Bevacqua and Giavanna Bevacqua; her great-grandchildren, Rachel, Lauren and Anthony Soluri, Michael and Judianne Schuey, Avery and Dylan Andrews, Seth and Ethan McMaster; her former son-in-law, David DiMarco, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the beloved wife of the late William Wagner. She was predeceased by her sister, Jane Hayes.Bette worked as a Secretary for Calspan in Cheektowaga, NY. She was loved by everyone she touched as she had a huge heart and was so generous to family and friends. Bette loved music and enjoyed so much; singing and playing the piano and organ. Elizabeth J. (Bedford) Bloom, 88 formerly of Medina, NY, passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015 at Absolut Care of Gasport. Born in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Alicia (Parker) Bedford.
On May 7, 1960, Betty married Bernard J. Bloom at St. John the Baptist Church in Lockport, NY. Mr. Bloom predeceased her in 1994. Betty worked as a nurses aid in the Pediatrics Department of Lockport Memorial Hospital. Afterwards, she worked in home care devoting her time to taking care of her mother. Betty was devoted to her Catholic faith and long time member of St. Mary’s Church in Medina, NY. She enjoyed collecting artifacts of cardinals, painting, drawing and crossword puzzles. As a child, she loved spending time at Bedford Beach in Lockport that was owned by her parents, as well as working on their farm in Gasport, NY. Betty and her husband also enjoyed bike riding, traveling and attending musicals. She took great pleasure going to Crystal Beach in Canada with her family, family reunions held at Olcott Beach and walking her dog Misty.
Mrs. Bloom is survived by her three children, Christine M. (David) Bloom Horth of Niagara Falls, NY, Bernard (Rhonda) Bloom of Park Hills, KY and Cheryl A. (Frank) Palermo of Webster, NY, one step-grandson Jonathan Hampton, two brothers, Robert ‘Bob’ (late Margaret) Bedford of Alpena, MI, David (late Doris) (Evelyn) Bedford of Florida, one sister Sharon (Donald) Tombari of Lyndonville, NY and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by an infant brother, Patrick Bedford, a brother, Marvin (Mary of Florida) Bedford and one sister Mary Alicia (late Red) LaMountain.

6198 Elizabeth J. “Betty” Diemert, passed away peacefully at the age of 99 on Thursday February 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, and under the care of Hospice.  Betty was born April 12, 1919 in Lockport, the daughter of James P. and Josephine (Judd) Degnan.  Betty was formerly the secretary in the Guidance Office at both Lockport High School and North Park Middle School.  She enjoyed sewing, and staying at the family cottage in Wilson, NY, but most of all, she was a loving mother and grandmother.  Betty was predeceased by her husband Forest F. “Fuzzy” Diemert on October 3, 2000.  She is survived by her daughters Dianne (the late Harry) Beirne and Marlene (Robert) Lewis; her grandchildren Mathew Beirne, Elizabeth (John) Doyle, Catherine Beirne, Brooke (Mark) Kilroy, Thomas (Kristen) Lewis, Christen (Johnny) Mueller, Ashley Lewis, Sean Lewis, and Treg Lewis; and fourteen great-grandchildren.   Besides her husband, Betty is predeceased by her siblings James Degnan, Eugene Degnan, LaVerne Bullard and Geraldine Smith.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Niagara-Wheatfield High School.  In July of 1995, she married George ‘Jake’ Putzak in Niagara Falls, NY.  Elizabeth will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful soul and ability to make others smile. 
In addition to her husband of 27 years, Elizabeth is survived by her children, Joseph (Karen) Costa, and Natalie Sansivero (Jerry); her grandchildren, Isabella Costa, Gianna Sansivero, and Louis Sansivero; her siblings, Mary Melloni and Nicholas (Evelyn) Buffone, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
