TOWN OF NIAGARA — Duane M. "The Dude" Brandon, 65, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed from this life, unexpectedly, on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at his residence. Born on June 30, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Amos M. and Marilynn G. (Gunzelman) Brandon.

Mr. Brandon was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. Duane proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War, from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1971. Throughout his career, he was employed by Grief Brothers, Niagara Falls Railroad, Great Lakes Metals and SGL Carbon. In June of 2010, Mr. Brandon retired as a Laborer from Ontario Specialties Corporation. Duane was a member of the American Legion LaSalle Post #1142. He was known as "Uncle" to many.

Mr. Brandon is survived by two sons, Derek (Tara) Brandon of Houston, TX and Dwight (Jaime) Brandon of Parma, OH, and two granddaughters, Alexis and Kayla. Duane is also survived by nine siblings, Patricia (Salvatore) Spatorico of Niagara Falls, NY, Robert Brandon of Phoenix, AZ, Pamela (late Joseph) Toni of the Town of Niagara, NY, Debra (late Mark) Ezell of Niagara Falls, NY, Marilyn (Thomas) Snyder of Phoenix, AZ, Thomas (Tina) Brandon of Niagara Falls, NY, Clarice (late Alfonso) Pacitti of Niagara Falls, NY, Eugene (Kellee) Brandon of Wheatfield, NY, and John Brandon of Wilmington, DE; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Duane's life on Tuesday, January 14th, at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). BUFFALO — Dorothy M. (Lauzau) Ackerson, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013, at Buffalo General Hospital. She was 71. She was born in Niagara Falls on March 31, 1941, a daughter of the late Wilbur F. and Winifred (Burridge) Lauzau. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

Dorothy married Robert Ackerson in 1961 and they remained happily married for 51 years, until her passing. She was an avid Elvis Presley collector and fan, but her greatest joy was her time with her family, especially her five grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Debra (Daniel) Hinman, Robert (Janet) Ackerson, Jr., William Ackerson and Dennis (Kelly) Ackerson; five grandchildren, Amanda, Kayla, Christopher, Alexis and Kyle. She is also survived by six siblings, Wilbur (Patricia) Lauzau, Ronald (Marie) Lauzau, Joan (late Robert) McCarthy, John (Joan) Lauzau, Nancy (Herbert) Nelson, Mary (Ralph) Vescio; and 29 nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM, with Deacon David Slish officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston.

GASPORT — Judy L. Covert, age 54, of Akron, NY, entered into rest Saturday, January 12, 2013, in Absolut Care in Gasport, NY, following a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis.

Judy was born September 3, 1958, in Batavia, NY, the loving daughter of Naomi (Ewald) Covert of Akron and the late Wilbur Covert.

She was a graduate of Akron Central School, class of 1976. Following high school Judy continued her education at SUNY Brockport,earning a master's degree in history.

For several years Judy was employed in the health care industry as a nurse's aide for several nursing homes in the area. Before her illness forced her to stop working, she was employed at the Oakwood Nursing Home in Williamsville, NY.

Judy was a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville. She enjoyed reading, ceramics and was an avid Beatles fan, listening to their music all the time. She also enjoyed her cats she had over the years.

Besides her mother, Judy was the dear sister of Karen (late James) Keith of Akron and Kathy (Bob) Artico of Fredonia. Cherished aunt of Kristin and Jeremy Keith, Matthew Heppner and the late Rebecca "Becky" Spoonhour. Also surviving are several great-nieces and nephews; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, at 11 AM in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6369 Wolcottsville Rd., Akron. Rev. Rod Klindzing will officiate. Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy would be appreciated by the family in Judy's memory to the church.

NEWFANE — Douglas K. Gunby of Newfane, husband of Gail Blackley Gunby, entered into rest Sunday, January 12, 2014, at home. He was born in Lockport, NY, August 15, 1942.

Doug was a US Army Vietnam veteran who served his country from 1962-1964. He was a Marksman (Rifle M-14) for the Army. He worked at Harrison Radiator for 33 years, retiring in 1999. Doug enjoyed his garden, boating and was a Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Ruth Gunby. Father of Todd Gunby of Lockport, Brian (Angela) Gunby, Scott (Antoinette) Gunby and Tammy (Clark) Dunkelberger, all of Newfane. Loving Pa of Matthew, Noah, Connor, Luke, Sadie and Joseph Gunby, William and Jeanne Dunkelberger. Nephew of Helen (Merrill) Smith of Lockport. Brother-in-law of Mary Ann (Robert) Johnston, Sr. of Port Charlotte, FL and Debbie (Elliott) Miller of Tonawanda, NY. Also survived by his fourth son, Jeff (Laura) McDonough of Newfane.

Born in Tonawanda, NY to the late Lyle and Minnie (Gaeth) Andrews, she had been a resident of North Tonawanda for the greater part of her life, and had been a resident of Rock Hill, SC for the past three years. She was the wife of Richard E. Zobrist, who died in 1985; and was the sister of the late William Andrews, and sister-in-law of the late Marilyn Andrews. Nancy was a graduate of Tonawanda High School and had been employed by Durez in North Tonawanda, retiring after 27 years of service. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Tonawanda. Nancy loved to watch all kinds of sports, enjoyed old classic movies, loved animals, and was a great listener. She'll be remembered as always having a smile on her face and having a great sense of humor. She is survived by two sons, David (Janet Laganiak) Zobrist of Rock Hill, SC, and Michael (Susan) Zobrist of North Tonawanda, NY; one grandson, Vincent Zobrist of North Tonawanada; a sister, Carolyn (Daniel) Grobe of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and several nieces and nephews. NIAGARA FALLS — John J. Archbold, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on January 8, 1921, the son of the late George J. and Kathleen (Kinnahan) Archbold, Sr.

Mr. Archbold graduated from St Mary's High School and attended Niagara University. He served with the US Navy during World War II aboard PT boats in the Mediterranean Theater and was awarded the WW II Victory Medal. Mr. Archbold was an accountant with E.I. duPont, in Niagara Falls for over 38 years, before retiring in 1979. He had played baseball, football, ran track and bowled both in high school and as a amateur. Mr. Archbold was inducted into the Niagara Falls Bowling Association Hall of Fame, the Niagara Falls Umpires Association Hall of Fame and to the Niagara Falls Old Timers Sports Hall of Fame. In 1991, he served as the Grand Marshall in the St Patrick's Day Parade. He was a member the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Loyal Order of Moose, the Knights of Columbus council #247 and the P.T. Boaters, Inc. Mr. Archbold was the husband of 62 years to the late Mary C. (Boddecker) Archbold, she died in January of 2009.

He is survived by one son, John M. Archbold of Niagara Falls, NY; three daughters, Patricia (Carl) Schlomberg of Port St. Lucie, FL, Catherine Mitchell and Barbara (Keith) Swiatlowski, both of Essex Junction, VT; six grandchildren, Larry (Kimberly) Thompson, Brian, Eric (Charlene) and Patrick Mitchell, Jennifer (Kyle) and Jamie Swiatlowski; four great-grandchildren, Trey, Kurt, Liam and Sean; one sister, Kathleen Devine; a daughter, Jane Shultz; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Archbold was the father of the late James Archbold; brother of the late George J. Archbold, Jr., Margaret Netzer, Mary Whalen and Theresa Wolosin.

WILSON — L. Paul Vincent, of Wilson, NY, entered into rest on Friday, January 13, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane, NY. He was born in Newfane, NY, on January 2, 1930, the son of the late Leonard E. Vincent and Ethel Carmer Vincent.

Paul worked for General Motors at Harrison Radiator in departmental services for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He moved to Wilson in 1970 from Newfane, member of the UAW and enjoyed gardening and his dogs.

Father of Eric Seefeldt of Newfane, NY, Kelly Ann Vincent of Sanborn, NY, Russell P. (JoJo) Vincent, Brian Vincent, all of Wilson, NY and the late Leonard A. Vincent. Brother of Frances (the late Jim) Budnack of Newfane, NY, Donna (Dick) Wemple of Ohio, Madelon Hasenfelt of Hartland, NY and the late Patricia Melcher and Arlene Cogdill. Also survived by six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

LEWISTON — Elverna G. Catlin, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY.

She was born in the Town of Niagara, on February 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Hubert and Esther (DeVantier) Haseley.

Elverna was a sales associate with the Sample Dress Shop in the Mil-Pine Plaza for 22 years, and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Elverna got her greatest joy spending time with the family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

She was the wife of the late Howard W. Catlin, who died in May of 2002.

Elverna is survived by her beloved son, Gary W. (Carol) Catlin of Sanborn, NY; her dearest grandchildren, Cheryl (Robert) Steingasser, Lori Milleville and David (Anna) Catlin; and her much loved great-granddaughters, Kimberly Milleville and Natalie Catlin; one sister, Doris (William) Davis; a sister-in-law, Alice Haseley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond Haseley, Milton (late Doris) Haseley, Reuben (late Lois) Haseley and Glenn Haseley.

WILSON — Norman R. Kruzickie, of Wilson, January 13, 2013. Born in Buffalo, October 31, 1918, he was the son of the late Julian and Catherine (Kochenski) Kruzickie.

He grew up on the Hess Road Farm and enjoyed gardening, fiddle fadaling in the basement and loved his dogs.

Norman met Loraine Zastrow in Olcott 1945, and they were married September 7, 1946. He worked for NYSEG as a First Class Gas Fitter, retiring in 1980 after 35 years, and worked at the Hub Hotel for many years.

A lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church, he was also a member of the Quarter Century Club and the Gas Pipe Fitters Union.

Surviving him are his children, Joyce (Clyde) Hess, Lorie (Brian) Seefeldt, Robert (Reeny) Kruzickie, Rodney (Fran) Kruzickie, all of Wilson; and Roger (Peggy) Kruzickie of Arkport, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer (Burt), Clydie (Ellen), Steven (Tammy), Nicholas, Samantha and Michael; also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceasing him were his wife, Loraine (Zastrow) Kruzickie, May 5, 1995; and seven siblings.

Lauri A. DeMartino-Janese, 48, formally of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday November 8, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. She was the daughter of Michael R. Janese, Sr. of Lockport, NY and the late Patricia A. (Rawleigh) Janese.
Lauri was born in Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools where she graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1984. She relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 2004. Lauri loved spending time in Florida with her sister, brother-in-law and boyfriend, Joe, Jr. Her plans were to move to Florida which was the place that she loved to be. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, walking in the sand, sitting in the warm sun and dressing in odd colors. Lauri was always known to be the life of the party and would give you the shirt off of her back not asking for anything in return.
In addition to her father, Lauri is survived by her brother, Michael R. (Judith) Janese, Jr. of Lewiston, NY; a sister, Sherri S. (Joseph) Milone of Jacksonville, FL; her nieces and nephews, Laura E. (Joseph) Scarfone, Michael A. Janese, Christopher M. Smeal, Justin R. Dietz, Rachel A. Dietz; four great-nieces, three great-nephews. Lauri is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Norma Rose (nee Bevacqua) Nielsen, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2014 in Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL, after a brief illness. She was born on April 13, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Maria (nee Cariolana) and Peterangelo Bevacqua.
She was educated in the local schools and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On April 28, 1956, the former Norma Bevacqua married Harlan L. "Hal" Nielsen in St. Joseph Church. He passed away on January 10, 1996. For many years, Mrs. Nielsen worked as a secretary for Vanadium Corporation and the Alcohol Council of Niagara County retiring in the mid 1990's. Norma was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Power City Lodge. Her pastimes and hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Norma is survived by two sons, Mark P. (Beth) Nielsen of Longwood, FL and Harlan D. "Hal" (Amy) Nielsen of Orlando, FL; six loving grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; six brothers, late Anthony Bevacqua, late Burt Bevacqua, late Paul Bevacqua, late Ernest Bevacqua, late William Bevacqua, late Frank Bevacqua; and five sisters, late Antoinette Bevacqua, late Elizabeth Pantepinto, late Carrie Lago, late Margaret Riggi, and late Mary Guagenti.

ROCHESTER — Jean Grant Kelley, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on January 13, 2012, at St. John's Home in Rochester, NY. Born on October 14, 1917 in Elk Garden, WV, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary Grant. Jean moved to Niagara Falls with her parents and late sister, Mary Louise (Jagow) in 1930. She attended Pacific Avenue School and was a graduate of the former LaSalle Jr./Sr. High School. On August 10, 1940, Jean married her loving husband of 49 years, William J. Kelley. Bill predeceased her in 1989. She was employed by the Power City Bank and the Frontier Bronze Co. for several years. In 1979 Jean retired from the Niagara Falls School system after 22 years of service as secretary at Evershed and 60th Street Schools. She was a charter member of the LaSalle Mother's Club, a lifelong member of The Eastern Star and member of Riverside Presbyterian Church.

Jean is survived by her son, Paul (Margaret) Kelley of Rochester, NY.

Jean's family would like to thank the staff on Reservoir 2 at St. John's Home for the loving care Jean received during her stay there.

LEWISTON — Geraldine M. "Jerry" (nee Fink) Boyd, 89, of Grand Island, NY, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY, following a brief illness. Born on June 4, 1923, in Punxsutawney, PA, she was the daughter of the late Henry P. and Kate (Ball) Fink.

Mrs. Boyd came to Niagara Falls, NY as a child, with her family. Jerry, as she was known by family and friends, attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On March 25, 1949, she married John L. Boyd, Jr. in Niagara Falls, NY. He predeceased her on August 25, 2000. For many years, Mrs. Boyd worked for the former Jenss Department Store. Jerry was an active member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Grand Island, NY. Jerry enjoyed needle point and reading. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by two sons, John L. (Karen) Boyd III of Temple, TX and Thomas (Kathleen) Boyd of Wilson, NY; 13 grandchildren, Jamie, Joshua, Brendan, Rebekah, John Matthew, Krystal, Tatiana, Thomren, Trevor, Joseph, Tiffany, Richie and Paula and 12 great-grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by one sister, Jean (late Harold) McConnell of Lighthouse Point, FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving brothers and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one granddaughter, Laurie; one sister, Marjorie (late David) Young and one brother, Henry (late Evelyn) Fink.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 17th, at 10:00 AM which will be celebrated in St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island, NY. Siegman (Severance), age 83, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on January 14, 2014, while at the Northgate Health Care Facility, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on February 23, 1930 in Wilcox, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Jackson) Severance. Loretta was a long-time member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, and a member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Loretta was predeceased by her husband, Howard Siegman on May 2, 1995; and a son, Jeffrey Siegman on December 6, 2005.

Survivors include two children, Kathleen Greenland and Jay (Kim) Siegman, both of Wheatfield; four grandchildren, Laura, Sarah, Joseph and Nickolas; one great-grandson, Gavin; a sister, Eleanor Siegmann; and several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by seven brothers and sisters, Geraldine Severance, Betty Martin, Darla Herstek, Howard, Gerald, Jay and Franklin Severance.

MEDINA — Mary Jo Kwiatkowski, 82, of Medina, NY, passed away on January 15, 2014, at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home.

She was born in Utica, NY on March 16, 1913 to Salvatore and Domenica Lo Galbo. Mary Jo was a 1949 graduate of Albion High School and was a long-time employee of Harrison Radiator. Upon retirement, she moved to Wildwood, FL and returned to NY in 2003 to be closer to her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling and making crafts.

Mary Jo is survived by two sons, Thomas (Stella) Kwiatkowski of Albion and Anthony (Dawn) Kwiatkowski of New Port Richey, FL; five grandchildren, Sara (Pete) Kwiatkowski, Timothy (Sarah) Kwiatkowski and Joseph, Stephanie and Emily Kwiatkowski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony "Red" Kwiatkowski.

Her family wishes to thank Orchard Manor Nursing Home for all of their care, support and love, and especially thank Lori Seager who spent most of her days with Mary Jo.

BUFFALO — William G. Everest II, "Bill" of Niagara Falls, died Monday, January 13, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo. He was 72. He was born in Niagara Falls on December 10, 1941, the son of William and Bernice (Blandin) Everest. Bill was a graduate of Lewiston Porter High School, class of 1959, and was a US Army veteran.

He worked for Occidental Chemical Company, retiring in 2002 as supervisor. Following his retirement, he worked summers for the Maid of the Mist Corp and enjoyed volunteering at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's Endoscopy Unit. He also was an active member of his housing community, Wildwood Acres, serving as President of its Phase A Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Altimari (Pete) of Fayetteville, TN and Kathleen McCormick (Joe) of Lackawanna; his sister, Elizabeth Fusco (late Vincent) of the Town of Niagara; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Meagan and Gabe; six nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Voelker.

The family will be present Friday from 3-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be held Saturday 11 AM. LOCKPORT — Mark H. Mittelstaedt, of Lockport, passed away unexpectedly on his 61st birthday, January 15, 2013. Mr. Mittelstaedt was born in North Tonawanda on January 15, 1952, son of the late Harold and Virginia (nee Case) Mittelstaedt.

Mark graduated from Trott Vocational School in Niagara Falls and had a two-year degree in diesel mechanics from Alfred Tech. Mr. Mittelstaedt retired from Dole Ford after 28 years as an auto technician. He was a life-member of the Adams Fire Company and a lifelong member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. Mark was an avid hunter and enjoyed bowling.

Suzanne M. Neilson passed away after a lengthy illness in Absolut of Gasport. Born in North Tonawanda on July 12, 1932, she was the daughter of Clarence J. and Wilhelmina (Noeller) Green.
Suzanne was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clarence, where she was the Treasurer and also belonged to the Rapids Volunteer Ladies Auxiliary and the UAW Retirees Travel Club. Suzanne enjoyed playing cards, being social and going out to eat.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Howard S. Neilson of Lockport; daughter, Ellen (Rick) Wuesthoff of Waterport; grandchildren, Marcy (Daniel) Nelson of Winchester, VA and Craig Hartl of Buffalo; great-grandchildren, Noah, Joshua, Lillie, Laura, Zachary Nelson; siblings, Robert P. She was born February 19, 1923 to the late Frank and Julia Wilk; married the late Henry E. Helen Z. (Universal) Gorczynski, 93, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in the Health and Rehabilitation Center at Friendship Village in Dayton, OH. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 30, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia (Zauczkowski) Universal.
On September 8, 1945, she married William W. Gorczynski in Our Lady of the Rosary Church where Helen also attended Parochial School and later Gaskill Junior High School. William predeceased her on October 12, 2008. Helen worked at the International Paper Company for eight years and retired in 1984 from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where she worked as a Central Service Aid for 20 years. She was a former member of St. John de LaSalle R.C. Church.
She is survived by her son, William F. (Christine) Gorczynski of Englewood, OH; grandchildren, William J. (Madelynne) Gorczynski of Mason, OH, Mary C. (Michael) Porter of Vandalia, OH; great-grandchildren, Billy, Joshua and Jarrod Gorczynski, Justin, Derek, Morgan, Maryna, Madison and Lilyanne Porter, her great-great-grandson, Arlian Porter; and several nieces and nephews. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Delores (Gruppo) Brigante of Niagara Falls.
Mickey was married to Frank M. Alongi on June 15, 1957, and they have lived in Sylmar, CA since 1983. She was a nurse for few years, before becoming an amazing mother, one of the best Italian cooks a family could ever ask for and serving over 20 years supporting her son, Dr. Martin Alongi's practice as a Medical Transcriptionist.
She is survived by her husband of over 56 years, Frank M. Alongi of Sylmar, CA; three children, Frank, Jr. of Sylmar, CA, Martin (Mary) of Tarzana, CA and Greg (Karen) Alongi of Hamburg, NY; four grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, Kristin and Olivia Alongi; two brothers, James (Marie) Briganti, Neil Brigante; and one sister, Patricia (James) Silvaggi, all of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins in the Niagara Falls area.

Ella was born on January 30, 1919, in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of the late Harrison Jesse Wilcox, Sr., and Helen Beman Wilcox. She was active in the North Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and participated in most all other church activities. As a child, all weekends and summers were spent on her beloved family farm, the Wilcox Homestead Farm, in Smyrna, NY. Here she spent many hours riding her horse, Bessie, visiting relatives, and enjoying meals (including her favorite homemade ice cream) with her "Papa", her mother, and five brothers and sisters. Ella graduated from Binghamton Central High School and attended Syracuse University. For several years she taught kindergarten and first grade at Port Dickinson Elementary School.
She met and married Jack Oliver Munch in 1936 and spent their years together in Smyrna, Oswego, Hamburg, and Lewiston, NY. She was active with the local Bridge and Canasta Clubs, served as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and as a member of the Girl Scouts of America Governing Board for Niagara County. She was also a Rotary-Ann member of the Rotary Club of Niagara Falls, as well as a member of The Mayflower Society. Ella was a wonderful cook, especially known for her homemade strawberry jam. She was always there to help others, day or night, and traveled wherever and whenever she was needed. Most people who knew Ella remember her tremendous love of life and enthusiasm and interest in all things. She was also a collector of many things (including owls), always explaining the collections were for others to enjoy.
She is survived by her son, Robert W. Munch of Ithaca, NY; daughter, Margaret M. (Robert) Berds of Youngstown, NY; and sister-in-law, Nancy Wilcox of Binghamton, NY; her grandchildren, Robert W. Munch of Urbana, OH, Douglas D. (Karen) Munch of Chesterfield, VA, Deborah J. Munch of Stanford, CT, John C. (Ingrid Reymers) Munch of Colden, NY, Stephen C. Berds of Youngstown, NY, and Patina C. Berds of Rochester, NY; great-grandchildren, Courtney N. Munch and Matthew J. Munch; nieces and nephews, Bonnie Tanzini, Cherri O'Brian, Barbara Johnson, June (James) Roth, Amy (Robert) Cassidy, Thomas Thompson, and Dr. Mark (Desiree) Henderson. She is predeceased by her parents; her husband of 69 years, Jack O. Munch; her in-laws, Audrey and Elmer Knowles; daughter, Elizabeth Munch-Galas; brothers, Robert H. (Doris) Wilcox and Harrison J. (Nancy) Wilcox; sisters, Emily W. (John) Scovil, Mary W. (Clifford) Thompson, and Helen W. (George) Henderson; and nephew, Harrison David Wilcox. Ella is lovingly remembered by three very close friends who cared for her during her illness, Montana Goodsell and Mary Reynolds of Ithaca, NY, and Mary Messer of Niagara Falls, NY.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at 12 Noon, followed by a funeral service at 1 PM at William R. Chase and Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY, 13901. Marilyn J. Seger passed away January 2, 2008 in Inter-Community Memorial Hospital, Newfane. Born May 14, 1934 in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Gehardi and Clara (Dexhiemer) Zuch. Marilyn was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clarence Center, where she taught Sunday School and served as the Superintendent of Sunday School. She enjoyed being with her family, playing the piano and traveling with her husband. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Samuel E. LEWISTON — Daniel F. Meyers, age 60, of Lewiston, died on Saturday, December 31, 2011 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, after a brief illness. Daniel was born January 16, 1951 in Buffalo, the son of the late Frank and Betty (Joerg) Meyers, and was raised in North Tonawanda, where he graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1969. He married Joan M. Haungs on December 17, 1971.

A Veteran of the Vietnam War, Daniel served in the U.S. Air Force from 1970 to 1974. He entered the U.S. Army Reserves and was called to active duty for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He retired from the Army Reserves with the rank of Major.

Daniel graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and received his Masters Degree in Health Management from the University of Buffalo. Since 2005, he has been a Medical Computer Consultant for Max IT, Inc. Previous to that, Daniel had worked as a Laboratory Manager for several area Buffalo Hospitals. Daniel enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; his children, Jennifer (Eric) Hardman of Burke, VA, Jeffrey (Christina) Meyers and James Meyers, both of Niagara Falls, NY; his grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, and Seth Meyers, Kaylynn, Alaina, and Tyler Hardman; a brother, Thomas (Kathy) Meyers of Dublin, OH; a brother-in-law, John (Sally) Haungs of Rochester, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Scott and Kristen Haungs, Paige and Drew Meyers.

NIAGARA FALLS — Mary L. (Moskal) Scepanski, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Friday December 30, 2011. Mary was born on December 6, 1922, to Frank and Ursula (Bodzioch) Moskal.

Mary graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1940 and from the E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. She served in the United States Army Nurse Corps during World War II and was stationed at Fort Devens, Massachusetts and Lovell General Hospital. It was during this time that she met her husband, Alexander Scepanski, a former World War II POW, who predeceased her on October 9, 1994. Following their marriage on April 27, 1946, Al and Mary settled in Niagara Falls and raised their three daughters, Judith (Jerald) Caira of the Town of Wheatfield, Sally (Robert) Rycroft of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Karen (Neocles) Athanasiades of East Setauket, New York. Mary worked as a registered nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for many years retiring in 1974.

Mary survived cancer twice in the 1990's and went on to live a full and active life. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, the Mt. Carmel Seniors, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Our Lady of Lebanon Senior Group. She enjoyed luncheons and various events with her friends at the John Duke Senior Center. Mary was an expert knitter and made numerous afghans, many with intricate floral designs for family members. Most recently, she knitted and donated squares to Roswell Park Cancer Institute which were made into blankets for patients. Above all, Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose life revolved around her family.

In addition to her daughters, Mary is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Robinson of Fairport, NY, Mary Ellen Caira of Elkridge, MD, Sara Rycroft of Washington, DC, Adam Rycroft of Los Angeles, CA, Katherine Athanasiades and Christina Athanasiades, both of Washington, DC. Mary is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Summer Lynne Robinson; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Elizabeth (Michael) Parsnick, whom Mary thought of as her fourth daughter. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Lottie (late Anthony) Dobrasz, Stella (late John) Jesz, Sophie (late John) Peczkowski and Julia (late Zenon) Skurski.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 4th from 2-6 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th St. cor. Loretta Atwater passed away on December 31, 2012 at Good Shepherd Services in Seymour, WI. She was born on April 27, 1922 in Lyndonville, NY, the daughter of the late Fred and Vinona Voelker. She married the late Elwood Atwater April 25, 1942. He passed away on June 12, 2007.
Loretta is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Tarajos of Lockport, NY; her son, Jeffrey (Karen) Atwater of Appleton, WI; four grandchildren, Lisa (Ron) Bolt of East Amherst, NY, Deniale (Todd) Steffen of Merrill, WI, Ryan (Lisa) Atwater of Green Bay, WI and Tracy (John) Larson of Appleton, WI; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marcia (Paul) Kenyon of Lyndonville, NY. She was predeceased by her sister, Bernice (William) Balschmiter; and her brothers, Leland and Raymond Voelker.
Loretta and Elwood lived in Somerset, NY, for many years. Loretta retired from Harrison Radiator, General Motors, May 1977. After retiring, she and Elwood moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where they lived until 2000. They then moved to Appleton, WI. Loretta and Elwood enjoyed traveling and went on 22 cruises and drove cross-country many times.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 5, 1963, he was the son of the late Harold and Lavada (Adams) Dawson. He attended local schools. Paul was employed by North American Hoganas, working as a team leader.

A devoted and loving husband and father, Paul cherished family time. He was an avid football and Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed bowling with the Strasburg League at the former Beverly Lanes, and the occasional trips to OTB.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Tina M. (Harbeson) Dawson; three children, Lacie, Paul and Kyle Dawson; a sister, Beverly Dawson of Rochester; three nephews and four nieces.

BARKER — George H. Brigham, Sr. of Barker, NY, husband of the late Sharon M. Johnson Brigham, entered into rest Saturday, January 18, 2014, at home. He was born November 6, 1944, the son of the late Howard and Elvera Winkley Brigham.

George worked as a welder for Harrison Radiator in Lockport until his retirement in 1996. He married his wife, Sharon Johnson Brigham, August 21, 1968. She died June 27, 2012.

George was a member of the FASNY, Somerset Conservation Club, Life member of Barker Fire Company and an active member of West Somerset Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Father of Pauline (Bruce J.) Laubacker of Newfane, Mary (Joe) Burndt of Arkansas, George (Donna) Brigham, Jr. of Maine, and Amanda (Brian Hubert) Brigham of Lockport. YARMOUTHPORT, MA — William E. "Bill" Ganshaw, of Yarmouthport, MA, formerly of Wilson, NY, died on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the age of 96.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marjory F. (Lawler) Ganshaw and father of the late Terry F. Ganshaw. He was preceded in death by his seven brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his son, David W. Ganshaw and his wife, Peggy of Yarmouthport, MA; daughter, Mary Ellen Ganshaw of Niagara Falls and daughter in-law, Wini Ganshaw. Grandfather of Linda Inkley, Kit Ganshaw, Gretchen (Tim) Sheehan Dieter (Mary Sue) Ganshaw, Heidi Ganshaw and Gretchen Rose Ganshaw. Great-grandfather of Preston, Lexa and Taylor Inkley, Tom Sheehan V, Katarina and Josephine Ganshaw.

Mr. Ganshaw was born and raised in Wilson, NY, the son of the late Rose (Koeppen) and Herman Ganshaw. He graduated from Wilson Central School. He worked for Harrison Radiator, Lockport, NY, for 25 years and Nationwide Mutual Ins. Co. for 25 years, and he was Town Magistrate, Wilson, NY, during 12 of those years.

Mr. Ganshaw enjoyed all sports including golf, hunting, fishing and bowling. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, long-time member of the Lions Club, Chairman of the March of Dimes, active leader in the Girl Scouts, member of the B.P.O. Elks and a 60-year member of the Wilson Volunteer Fire Company, serving as Treasurer for 40 years. He was instrumental in the 1940's in brining ambulance service to Wilson.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at St. Brendan's on the Lake Church, Wilson, NY. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. NIAGARA FALLS — Constance "Connie" J. Piccirillo, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the loving daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Tedesco) Biamonte.

Connie attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1947. She later attended Niagara Community College and graduated in 1973 as a Registered Nurse. On June 3, 1950, she married Frank R. Piccirillo. She was employed as a nurse for 35 years at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY, until her retirement in 2007. She loved being a nurse and was known by others as being a very passionate, loving person.

In addition to her husband of 62 1/2 years, Mrs. Piccirillo is survived by three children, Kathy (Dominick) Terrana, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, Judy (Michael) Mann of Williamsville, NY, Janine Cacciatore of Niagara Falls, NY; a brother, Thomas Biamonte of Niagara Falls, NY. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Piccirillo.

NIAGARA FALLS — Joseph Kupka, formerly of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, under the care of Niagara Hospice.

He was born in Svrcinovec Cadca, Czechoslovakia, on October 28, 1927, the son of Matthew and Agnes (Garajova) Kupka.

Mr. Kupka came to the United States in 1939 and had lived in Curwensville, PA. He served with the US Navy, aboard the USS Repose, during World War II in the Pacific Theater and later with the US Army from 1948 until 1952 in Europe.

After his time in the service he moved to North Tonawanda in 1952. He was a Heat Treat Controlman with General Motors Forge Plant in Tonawanda for 38 years, before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in North Tonawanda, the Wheatfield American Legion Post and the AMVETS Post in North Tonawanda. Mr. Kupka enjoyed spending time with his family and gardening.

He was the husband of the late Alice M. (Liebeck) Kupka, who died in September of 2009.

Mr. Kupka is survived by two daughters, Karen M. (Randall) Bolam of Niagara Falls, NY and Judith A. Doran of Warners, NY; two granddaughters, Kristin (Jeffrey) Carroll and Jennifer Bolam; dear great-grandfather of Michael and Peter Joseph Carroll and his dearest care giver, April. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Thomas, Matthew and John Kupka.

The family will be present on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Joseph P. Robert C. Campbell, 77, of Youngstown, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Colver, PA, he was the son of the late Robert B. and Dorothy (Raymond) Campbell.
Robert was a 1954 graduate of Wilmore High School in Pennsylvania. Following high school, he moved to the Niagara Falls area and went on to serve in the United States Navy Reserves. On June 29, 1957, he married his wife of fifty-two years, Loretta F. (Simone) Campbell, who he met at the former Great Bear Market in Niagara Falls. Mrs. Campbell predeceased him on October 13, 2009. Bob began a long career as a pressman at Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls. He later worked at Graphic Controls in Buffalo, NY, RMF Printing Technologies in Alden, NY and at the time of his retirement was a Pressman Supervisor at Colorforms, Inc. in Tonawanda, NY.
Bob was a member and served as president of the Niagara Falls Groundhoggers Club. He was also a member of the American Legion LaSalle Post 1142. He was an avid football and Buffalo Bills fan. Robert also liked NASCAR racing, playing horse shoes, fishing, hunting and drawing. Above all, Bob was extremely proud of the family he and his wife created. He loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his three children, Adele (Richard) Previte of Niagara Falls, NY, Beverly (Mark) Boyer of Youngstown, NY and Robert (Elizabeth) Campbell of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by his daughter, Cathryn (Gregory of Niagara Falls, NY) Harris. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one sister, Cheryl (Kenneth) Glennon of South Bend, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one sister, Judith Pearson.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a prayer service will begin on Friday, January 24th at 9:15 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at Niagara Falls First Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Niagara Falls, NY with Pastor Jim Vigil officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Donations in memory of Robert's daughter, Cathryn G. Harris, may be made to Susan G. BUFFALO — Sandra K. King passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Lockport on September 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Kathryn Bluhm Felton. Sandra owned and operated her craft business, named the Rainbow Collection, for over 25 years, retiring in 2008. Aside from her crafts, she was very involved in 4-H and loved spending time with her family. Sandra was also very devoted to her older brother, Jimmy. Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Raymond King, who passed away October 2010.

Sandra is survived by her son, Lowell J. (Trisha) King of Blandon, PA. She was the sister of James (Patti) Felton of Lockport, Marcia (Roy) Bucolo of Lockport, Karen (James) Donner of Wilson, Sharon (Duane) Behm of Lockport and Robert (Nancy) Felton of Gasport. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sandra will be sadly missed by her grand-dog, Sage and her two dogs, Skylar and Sasha.

Friends may call Tuesday evening 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Jody R. (Walker) Siddall, age 52, of Lockport, entered into rest on Monday, January 21, 2013. Born on November 28, 1960 in Newfane, she is the daughter of Robert Walker and the late Hazel (Urtel) Walker.
Jody graduated from Newfane Central Schools in 1978 where she served as class president. She went on to graduate from Tobe-Coburn in NYC with a degree in fashion merchandising and also attended NCCC where she received her degree in Psychology. Jody was a volunteer at Niagara County Jail where she distributed items to the women. She enjoyed skiing, boating and bicycling.
Jody is survived by her son, Parker Siddall. She was predeceased by her daughter, Paige Siddall. Daughter of Robert Walker and the late Hazel Walker. Sister of Jayne (Doug) Lloyd and James Walker; and aunt to Barrett Lloyd. Jody is also survived by aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 3-6 PM. Lester Galas, age 94, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Lester was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. He retired from Buffalo Pumps and previously worked at Buffalo Bolt. Lester was consummate Grandpa. He loved being outdoors, fishing and being with his family. He was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Lester was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He served in North Africa and the European Theater and was at the Battle of Normandy. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Distinguished Unit Badge with Oak Leaf Cluster and European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal.
Loving husband of Stella (Maday) Galas of North Tonawanda. Dear father of Michael (Deborah) Galas, Kathleen (John) See, Lawrence Galas, Martin Galas, Robert Galas and Nancy (Brian) Stuff. Proud grandfather of Todd (Danielle) Galas, Matthew (Sarah) Galas, Rene See, Thomas See, Brian (Jocelyn) Galas, Danielle Galas, Jacqueline Galas, Cory, Robert and Chad Stuff. Great-grandfather of Olivia, Ella, Owen and Sydney. Brother of Helen Adams and Rose Mislin and predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Thomas P. Denn, 79, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at his home. Born on June 27, 1933 in Syracuse, NY, he was the loving son of Nicholas and Mary (Hanley) Denn. Tom moved with his family to Utica, NY, in 1940 and attended St. Francis de Sales High School, serving as Senior Class President.
In 1951, he enrolled at Niagara University and graduated Cum Laude in 1955, where he was President of Student Government and a member of the Sigma Alpha Sigma Honor Society. He married Nan (Urtel) at St. Mary's of the Cataract Church in Niagara Falls on June 18, 1966. Shortly after college graduation, Tom joined MarineMidland Bank (HSBC) as a Management Trainee and ascended to the role of Niagara District Vice President from 1973-1976. In 1976, he joined Lytle Associates serving as Vice President of Annuity Operations. He formed Thomas P. Denn Investments (Denn Financial Services) in 1987 and worked as consultant for his son, Steven, since 1996.
Thomas was a longtime member of the Niagara Falls Country Club and served as a member of the Board of Governors for 12 years and President in 1977. He was an active volunteer in the Porter Cup Tournament for over 40 years, chairing the event in 1982. Tom was a member of the Porter Cup Executive Committee for many years, was a 1st Tee Starter and announcer of the Annual Long-Drive Contest. He was an active member of St. Peter's R.C. Church where he volunteered as a lector. For over 20 years, he was Chairman of the Catholic Charities campaign soliciting Large Gifts and led St. Peters' $1.3 million Capital Fund Drive in 2000. Tom was awarded the St. Joseph The Worker Medal by Bishop Henry Mansell in 1999.
Tom was a member of the Niagara University Board of Advisor's and was a season-ticket holder of Niagara University basketball. Shortly after organizing the "Great Class of '55 Challenge" which produced the highest class percentage of givers in history, he received "Alumnus of the Year" recognition from the University on occasion of his 50th reunion. Tom served as Member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation from 1957 until 1975. He was a Member, President and Board Chairman of the University Club of Niagara Falls during which time he negotiated the purchase of the former Carborundum Guest House for the Club residence. He also was a past Member and President of the Lewiston-Porter Board of Education, Mount St. Mary's Hospital Board of Associates and was a former Chairman of the United Way Campaign. Tom was a proud member of the "Lunch Bunch", a group of friends who lunched daily at Gadawski's East Side Emporium.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, Thomas is survived by his son, Steven (Susan) Denn of Buffalo, NY; daughter, Sharon (Darren) Larkins of St. Paul, MN; two grandchildren, Julia and Tommy Larkins; two brothers, Edward Denn of St. Paul, MN, Rev. James Denn of Notre Dame, IN; three sisters, Sr. Maureen Denn of Utica, NY, Sheila (late Lynn) Beaton of Utica, NY and Mary Denn of Eagle Bay, NY; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William.
The family will be present on Friday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 12:00 PM at St. Peter's R.C. Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY. Interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery. LOCKPORT — Charles Victor Weinheimer of Lockport died at home January 21, 2014. He was born in Lockport on March 30, 1933 to the late Victor and Ella (Schultz) Weinheimer.

Charles was married to Marilyn Schneider who predeceased him in 1988. He served in the United States Army at the end of the Korean War. Charles was self-employed as a homebuilder and owner of many rental properties. He was a member of SCOL (Ski Club of Lockport). He loved skiing locally and traveled to find new challenges. He would never shy away from a difficult run.

Charles is survived by his children, Dave (Diane) Weinheimer of Amherst, Linda (John) Penergrass of Bristol, VA, Tom Weinheimer of Lockport, and James (Rocio) Weinheimer of East Amherst. He is also survived by grandchildren, Derek and Stephen Gregory; Matthew, Emily, Stephen, Heidi and Tom Weinheimer.

Friends may call on Friday, January 24, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Ross Funeral Home Gaul Chapel, 263 East Ave., Lockport, where the funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, January 25. Burial will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery.

SANBORN — Eugene A. Pfohl, age 64, of Sanborn, was called peacefully to his heavenly home on January 20, 2014, while under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Lewiston, NY on April 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Erwin and Elenora (DeVantier) Pfohl. Eugene was a 1967 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School. He was employed for 33 years at the former family business, Sanborn Milling Company, and 13 years as a truck driver with AT&A Trucking. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and attending classic car shows. Eugene spent countless hours working on his prized possession, a 1967 Dodge RT, of which he won several trophies and plaques. He was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church-LCMC in Walmore, spent many years and really enjoyed coaching the St. Peter's boys and girls high school basketball team, and greatly enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Scott (Joelle) Pfohl; grandchildren, Ryan and Nicholas Pfohl; a sister, Ann Kroening; niece, Lynn Hebeler; nephew, Lee (Lynette) Kroening; and great-nieces and nephews, Jarred and Brianne Hebeler, Ian, Colin and Ella Kroening. Also predeceased by a brother, Loren Pfohl.

BERGHOLZ — Colleen Ann Syruws, (Stange), age 61, of Bergholz, was called to her heavenly home on January 23, 2013, at her residence, under the care of her loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on March 12, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Ewald) Stange, Jr. Colleen was a 1969 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School and was previously employed as a clerk at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, and she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her devoted husband, William R. Syruws. They were united in marriage on August 24, 1974; two daughters, Lorrie (William) Weir and Lynn (Benjamin) Willis; two sisters, Nancy (Richard) Musall and Carol (Stanley) Woodcock; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Peyton, Charles and Adelaide.
