WOLCOTTSVILLE, NY — Dianna Tobin, age 73, of Wolcottsville, NY, entered into rest on Friday, January 6, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Salamanca, NY, on September 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Erma (Housler) Blakeslee.

For many years, Mrs. Tobin was employed as a Home Health Care Aide was doing care for private patients and a few nursing facilities. Diane was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville, NY. While her children at one time were involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Brownies, she served as a Den Mother and helped with many paper drives, selling pizzas, cookies and numerous other contributions she made to help make the organizations thrive. Diane's favorite things in life were sharing time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Precious memories she leaves with all of them.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William D. Tobin; loving and proud mother of Dennis (Amelia) Tobin, William II (Laurie) Tobin, Cynthia (Bryan) Shafer, Karen (Rick) Carey and Flavel (Luann) Tobin; cherished grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; dear sister of Meda (late Ralph) Seekings, Chloie (late Albert) Eddy, Otis (Mary Lou) Blakeslee, Vermont (Sally) Blakeslee, Leila (late Harold) Armstrong and Nina (Tom) Farris; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 PM in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Wolcottsville. Rev. Rodney Klincing will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the CHILDS FUNERAL HOME, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Flowers gratefully declined. NIAGARA FALLS — Diane D. (Dargis) Walck, 77, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY, following a brief illness. Born on December 10, 1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Ciurylo) Dargis.

Mrs. Walck was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. Diane attended local Catholic schools and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1953. On August 5, 1961, she married Allen P. Walck, Sr. in St. John de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Walck worked for Carborundum, Niagara County Community College and Hooker Chemical. Later, Diane was employed as a secretary for St. Peter's Lutheran Church, until her retirement in 1997. She was a communicant of the former St. Charles Roman Catholic Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Walck enjoyed gardening. Above all, Diane loved spending time with her family, who were the center of her life.

In addition to her beloved husband of 51 years, Mrs. Walck is survived by two sons, Allen P. (Audrey) Walck, Jr. of Avon, NY and Christopher Walck of the Town of Niagara, NY; and two grandsons, Zachary and Benjamin Walck. Diane is also survived by two brothers, Stanley W. (Cleo) Dargis of Mountain View, AK and Kenneth R. (Patricia) Dargis of Wilmington, DE; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant brother.

The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 10th, at 10:00 AM which will be celebrated in the historic Holy Trinity Church, 1419 Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Jacek Mazur serving as Celebrant. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

BUFFALO — George "Paul" Barger passed away January 6, 2013 in the VA Hospital of Buffalo. Born March 22, 1949, in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of Calvin and Betty (Salsgiver) Barger. Paul served in the US Marine Corps from 1968 to 1974 during Vietnam. He worked as a truck driver for Frontier Chemical, Niagara Falls, NY, for 20 years. Paul enjoyed working on genealogy and word searches.

Paul is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janet (Bedford) Barger of North Tonawanda; father of Kathy Stevens of Wrights Corners and Tina Kasperek of North Tonawanda; grandfather of Alissa, Frederick Stevens and Brendan, Collin Kasperek; brother of Calvin E. (Nancy) Barger, Jr. of Lockport, Thomas (Sally) Barger of Winburne, PA, Barbara Barger of Wilson, Dorothy Balcom, Sharon (Gary) Hassell, both of Dickson, TN, uanita Livergood of Pegram, TN, Philip (Patti) Barger of Newfane, and Michael (Carol) Barger of Lockport; also several nieces and nephews.

TOWN OF NIAGARA — Jean Ann Haseley, of the Town of Niagara, died on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at home while receiving care from Niagara Hospice. She was 82. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 21, 1930, she was the daughter of the late R. Leslie and Helen (Russell) Penman. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.

Mrs. Haseley was a secretary for the former Niagara Lutheran Junior/Senior High School and for several other local businesses. She also worked for the Town of Niagara Elections Board. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, she was also a very active member of the Town of Niagara Lions Club and the Sanbornite Seniors group.

Survived by her beloved husband, Gerald R. Haseley; two daughters, Bonnie Bolea (David Jr.) of Raleigh, NC; Deborah Busquet (Jose) of Las Vegas, NV; her sister, Mary Ellen (late Lawrence) Bell; six grandchildren, Hiede (Bolea) Erickson, Michelle McAnulty, Cheryl (Bolea) Maldonado, Steven McAnulty, David M. Bolea and Michael McAnulty; six great-grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013, at 11 AM in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY. Janice M. (Kriedemann) DeVantier, age 82 of Erlanger, KY, formerly of the Town of Niagara, was called to her heavenly home on January 2, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on March 3, 1931 she was the daughter of the late William and Jessie (Thompson) Kriedemann.
Janice was a graduate of Mount St. Mary Academy in Kenmore and a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Her interests included reading, assembling puzzles, Bible study, spending quality time with her family, working at the family business and was a devoted homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert A. DeVantier on May 7, 1995. They were united in marriage on September 3, 1955.
Survivors include two sons, Bert W. (Beth) DeVantier of Independence, KY and Lee G. (Maire) DeVantier of Falls Church, VA; a grandson, Aidan L. DeVantier; two sisters-in-law, Lillian DuBois and Edna Walck; and several nieces and nephews.

Althea E. (Walck) Haseley, age 86, of Wheatfield, was called peacefully in her sleep, to her heavenly home on Monday, January 7, 2013, while at the Northgate Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on August 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Erich and Eleanor (Stoelting) Walck.
Althea was a 1943 graduate of LaSalle High School, and later in life was employed at the Bon-Ton Department Store. She was a devoted Christian, wife and loving mother, raising five children. Althea was a life long member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, in Bergholz, where she served on the Altar Guild, spent time with the quilters and enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking.
Althea was predeceased by her husband, Albert H. Haseley on November 22, 2007. They were united in marriage on August 9, 1947; two sisters, Loraine (Winston) Moeller and Eleanor June (Marvin) Werth; and one brother, Gilbert (Shirley) Walck. Survivors include five children, Dale Haseley of Sanborn, Linda (Ron) Stevens of Wheatfield, Barbara (Vincent) Flow III of Kendall, NY, Janet Haseley of Brockport, NY and Joan (Stephen) Amico of Williamsville, NY; a brother, Albert (Helen) Walck; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Haseley and Lydia Stoelting; two brothers-in-law, Winston Moeller and Marvin Werth; loving grandmother of Laura (Christopher) Smith, Mark Stevens (Melissa Gerhardt), Katie (Adam) Godlove, Lisa (Brad) O'Connor and Vincent (Melissa) Flow IV; and great-grandchildren, Olivia Smith, Annette Smith, Alex Godlove and Sarah O'Connor; and several nieces and nephews.

Walter "Wally" Walas, age 63, formerly of Cambria Wilson Townline Rd. in Wilson died on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in the Absolut Care of Gasport after a lengthy illness. Wally was born on August 13, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Walter and Bernice (Zygmont) Walas.
He was a 1968 graduate of Wilson High School and had attended Niagara University. Wally worked for a number of years for Smith Sales in Amherst, NY. He was one of the founders of the Wilson-Ransomville Youth Football League and enjoyed socializing with his friends.
He is survived by a brother, Larry Walas; a nephew, Eric Siernacki; his friend, Bruce Charbonneau; two sons, and an adopted daughter. He was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Siernacki.

Judith (Jude) Ellcome (nee Orr), died on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at her home in Youngstown, NY under the care of Niagara Hospice and her loving family. Jude was born in Youngstown, NY, on July 14, 1948, and was the daughter of the late George (Bud) Orr, Esq. and Susan (Granny) Honeywell Orr.
Jude attended Lewiston-Porter and Cornell University. After marrying her husband, David on November 30, 1968, they lived in England for several years. Jude worked for Billings Agency, Warren-Hoffman, and recently retired from First Niagara Risk Management. She had also worked for many years at the Sailors Shop in Youngstown. Jude was an avid sailor on their boat, the "Little Limey", and a longtime member of the Youngstown Yacht Club. Friends will remember Jude for her welcoming smile, her positive attitude in the face of her illness, her quick wit, and most of all, her love for her family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, David Ellcome; her son, Benjamin (Jessica Walsh) Ellcome, of Exeter, Rhode Island; her granddaughter, Be; her sister and best friend, Anne Honeywell Orr; her brother, Thomas (Deana) Orr of Middletown, Rhode Island; and two nephews, Thomas and Nicholas. Jude has gone to join her beautiful daughter, Sarah; her brother, George (Buddy), and Granny and Bud.
A Celebration of Jude's life will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 2:00 PM at the Youngstown Yacht Club, Water Street, Youngstown. NIAGARA FALLS — Richard R. Mang, of Niagara Falls, died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at home. He was 88. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 13, 1932, the son of Raymond and Lillian (Ziehl) Mang. He attended schools here, including Kelly Business Institute.

Richard served in the US Army from 1952-1954, stationed in Germany. He, along with his dad, owned and operated Mang's Fish Market for many years, until his retirement in 1996. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed woodworking.

He was predeceased by his wife, Norma (Fuller) Mang on August 6, 1996.

Survivors include his step-daughter, Nancy Reid of Kenmore; four step-grandchildren, David and Scott Woolsoncroft, Jacqueline Plunkett and Tammy Kopack; several great-grandchildren and cousins, and a dear friend, John W. Willmott of Niagara Falls.

"Dell" moved to Florida over 34 years ago. An automotive technician, presently the vice president of the Boozefighter Motorcycle Club and formerly the president and charter holder.
Dell loved motorcycles, ATVs, mudding and was an avid hunter. Mostly, he adored his wife, Kristine, and being surrounded by family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of two years, Kristine; son, Joshua Dell of North Carolina; mother, Tracy (Ralph) Hand of Palm Coast; sister, Sheana Dell (fiance Martin Gatica) of Palm Coast; father, Keith Dell of New Smyrna Beach; maternal grandmother, Karen Cicero of Niagara Falls, NY; four nephews, Hunter, Jace, Ivan and Kingston. Jason was a Maintenance Mechanic at Sister's Hospital, in his spare time he enjoyed spending time with friends and family at camp. Jason was predeceased by his mother Linda (Heaps) Krull who died in 2016.

8064 Jason R. Strope Sr., 52, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, November 2, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Lewiston, NY on July 21, 1972, he was the son of Kathleen (Huryn) Strope and the late Dennis Strope.
Jason was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School. For many years he worked at Frank’s Mr. Plumber until his illness forced him to retire. As an avid fisherman, Jason enjoyed fishing with his friends at the pier of the Niagara Power Vista. He had a special bond with his brothers-in-law, John and Nick, and will be dearly missed by his loving family and countless friends. Jason will be remembered for his selflessness and generosity, always willing to help everyone and care for all.
In addition to his mom, Kathleen, he is survived by his children, Jason Strope Jr., Austin Strope, Mackenzie Lawrence; his step-daughter, Alyssa (Matt) Maio; his cherished cat, Bubba; his siblings, Christine Dickey, Shirley (Nicholas) Hanson, Denielle (Ron) Fees, Denise (John) Litz and Shannon (Lyn) Jones; his nieces and nephews, Christopher Carter, Asha Carter, Laurie (DeQwan) Hamilton, Larry (Tank Tank) Washington, Nicole (Josh) Hanson-Gilmore, Michael (Kira) Hanson, Ashlee (Kurtis) Peterson, Samantha Strope, Andrew Harvey, Jayson Parker, Julian Parker, Brayden Fees, John Litz Jr., Dylan Litz, Jase Litz and Christopher Falbo; 18 great-nieces and nephews who he loved immensely; his devoted boss, Frank DiMaria who he was very fond and appreciative of; as well as his uncles, Richard Huryn and Robert Huryn; his aunt, Debra Battaglia and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Born in Greenwood, June 4, 1926, a son of Clarence and Flossie Alden Brutsman,
he had
resided most of his life in Jasper. He had been employed for 36 years in the
Maintenance Of
Ways for the Erie, Erie Lackawanna Railroad as well as Conrail. He was a veteran
of the US
Navy having served during WWII.
Bob was predeceased by one brother, Clinton Brutsman, on Sept. 16, 2000.
On July 23, 1948, he married the former Leatrice Myhers who survives.

Jay was employed at Snyder Industries, as a machinist for 33 years, until his massive stroke in 2019. A life long member of St. John Lutheran Church, in Wheatfield, also a member of St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company for 39 years, the NYSVF Judging Association- Western Division, and enjoyed deer hunting.Survivors include his wife, Kimberly (Prantera) Siegman; two children, Nicholas Henneberger and Sarah Siegman; three fur children, Bear, Roxy, and Duke; a sister, Kathleen Greenland (Wally Rowell); uncle, Pete (Judy) Siegman; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws. 8067 Jean (Bockie) Beales, 96, of Niagara Falls, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2019, while residing at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.  A lifelong resident, she was born on December 26, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Peter and Clarice (Millar) Bockie.  
 
Jean attended local schools and upon graduation from Niagara Falls High School in 1940, she became employed, for several years, as a secretary/receptionist for the WHLD Radio Station first went on the air. Later Jean worked for the Runals Broderick Law Firm, where she remained for 37 years, until her retirement.
 
Jean was an active community volunteer for many organizations including the SPCA of Niagara, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Auxiliary, Niagara Arts and Cultural Center and The Operation Pride and Progress, whose mission was to “push, polish and promote the Niagara area in many ways. She was also on the Board of Directors of the Niagara oncology Association, aiding cancer patients and their families, sat on the advisory board of the HANCI Senior Companion Program and the producer of the Iney Wallens Radio Talk Show on WHLD.
 
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, United States Marine, William L. Beales and her brother, WWII Naval Air Force Flyer, Marvin James Bockie.  Survivors include, sister, Marian Dewey; niece, Janice (Thomas) Duebber; nephews, Lt. Col. Grant (Anne) Dewey and Blake Dewey.  She is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
 
Jean’s many friends speak in one voice to say she will be fondly remembered for her faith in God, her loving heart, willingness always to be of help, her kind and caring concern for animals and for what the American Flag represents.

8068 Jean (Hartfield) Earp entered into rest in Virginia on Tuesday September 23,2003. Born January 28,1941 she grew up in Lockport and spent most of her life in the area. She graduated from Lockport High School.
Jean is survived by three daughters: Gail (Haseley) Silversmith of Lockport, Susan (Haseley) Bond of Wellsville, and Deanna (DiRamio) Addison of Virginia. She is survived by 13 grandchildren: Jamey Haseley of Barker, Adam Haseley of Springville, RickyLee Smith, Terry Smith, Tyler Stansbury and Keysha Stansbury of Lockport, Bobbie Sue Bowen and Joseph Bond of Wellsville, Chester James ("CJ") Hayes III, Michael Addison, Anthony Addison, Austin Addison and Laura DiRamio of Virginia. 8069 Jean (nee Rech) Mago O’Connor, age 90, of Amherst, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Frances (nee Seguin) Rech. Mrs. O’Connor was a graduate of Tonawanda High School, Class of 1942. She was the co-owner and operator of Sloat’s Bakery in North Tonawanda, and then was the office manager for the Little White House Restaurant in Williamsville before retiring. A resident of Amherst for the past 35 years, she was a charter member of the Tan-Tara Golf Club and a past president of the Tan-Tara Women’s Golf Association. Mrs. O’Connor was a first year honoree by the Twin City Women’s Bowling Association in 2000, and was also a past-president of the DeGraff Hospital Auxiliary. She was the wife of the late Frank L. Mago, Jr. and the late William B. O’Connor, Sr., and sister of the late Walter R. Rech.

She is survived by her daughter, Lyn (Michael) Lozinsky of Elma; three step-sons, William (Sharon) O’Connor, Jr. of Florida, George (Susan) O’Connor of Florida and David (Mary) O’Connor of the Town of Tonawanda; three cherished grandsons, Michael (Kathryn) O’Connor, David (Ashley) O’Connor and William O’Connor; and three dear great-grandsons, Caleb, Quinton and David O’Connor.

8075 Jean C. Haseley, age 82 of the Town of Lewiston, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on July 27, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 28, 1938; daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Johnson) Young.
Jean was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Walmore. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Harold N. Haseley. They were married March 6, 1958, and both enjoyed photography and antiques. Jean was an avid shopper and finder of the best deals ever. Being surrounded by family was pure joy for Jean, making each child feel like they were the favorite, and she was loved by all.
Other survivors include four children, Catherine (Thomas) Sutton, Robert (Debra) Haseley, Melinda (Louis) Fazzolari, and Karen (Catherine) Cuddahee; grandchildren, Steven, Jonathan, Anthony, Shawn, Jason, Sara, Amanda, Daniel, Katelyn, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Vito, Gracie, Jack, Josephine, Sophia, Joshua, Scarlet, and Mila; and several brothers and sisters, Michael (Fran) Young, David (MaryPat) Young, Kathleen (Larry) Posey, William Young, Sue Ellen (Ted) Brigham, and Margaret Galko.

8079 Jean E. Richards (Carrigan) age 94,entered into rest on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Lockport Rehab & Health Care Facility. Born on July 25, 1924 the daughter of James and Pearl Carrigan. Jean was a graduate of Wilson Central Schools. She married the late Duane “Joe” Richards and together they were members of the Warrens Corners Methodist Church, The Road Runners and the Elks of Lockport. Jean worked at the Felt Mill in Newfane and later at the Newfane Nursing Home. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Together with Joe she enjoyed traveling all over the world, other interests include knitting, quilting and playing cards. She has a competitiveness about her, in which she enjoyed race walking with her friends. Jean was known for her elderberry pies, Texas sheet cake and suet pudding.
Jean is survived by her daughter Judy (late Ronald) Branch and her son Ronald (Catherine) Richards; grandmother of Jodie (Mike) Jeffery, Jeffrey (Andrea) Richards, Sandra (Rich) Williams the late Ronald Jr. (late Madhvi) Richards and Heather (Kevin) Zastrocky. Jean attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1967 and an Associate’s Degree from Niagara County Community College.  She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education from Fredonia State.  On June 26, 1971, she married David J. St. Onge.  Jean was employed as a Teacher for the Niagara Falls Board of Education.  Jean enjoyed playing Bingo and cards.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, Jean is survived by her son, David (Tracy) St. Onge, Jr; her grandchildren, Celsey (fiancé Chris Smith) St. Onge, Hailey St. Onge, Mackenzie St. Onge, and Ethan St. Onge; her siblings, Joseph (Janet) Bradigan and Sally (fiancé Robert Martin) Bradigan Litten Martin, as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her loving son, Scott W. Her marriage was to Norman Pearson on June 12, 1962, he survives. Jean worked at Indiana Ribbon for several years in Wolcott until her retirement. While at home, Jean enjoyed a good book to read.
Surviving along with her husband Norman are their children, Rex, Ryland, Ryan, Jennifer, and Jamie Pearson. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

8082 Jean L. (Cole) Bush, of Boynton Beach, passed away in Chicago on November 8, 2009 at age 82 and is survived by husband Dr. Kenneth H. Bush. In 1947 they were married in West Lafayette, Indiana where they raised four children: John (d. 1998), Thomas, Roger and Diana. In addition, she is survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Jean earned B.S., Masters and Ed.S. degrees in vocational education from Purdue University where she taught prior to being appointed member of the Indiana GovernorÌs Commission on Education. Upon moving to Florida in 1985 she served as employee development specialist for Palm Beach County. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active and volunteered as a reflection of her faith. Her hobbies included travel, genealogy, swimming, quilting, sewing, knitting and reading biographies. Most of all Jean was committed to her family -- she and her beautiful smile will be greatly missed. 8083 Jean L. Letourneau, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Harold and Viola (Lorenz) Smoyer.

Mrs. Letourneau moved to Sanborn in 1955 and was a cook at Niagara-Wheatfield School for 12 years, before retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Country Campers, Sanbornite Seniors and was a regular camper at Niagara Woodlands.
Mrs. Letourneau enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to the Casino and playing Bingo.

She was the wife of the late James G. Letourneau, who died in March of 2002.
Mrs. Letourneau is survived by a son,Timothy J. (Diane) Letourneau of the Town of Niagara, two daughters, Susan J. Letourneau of Sanborn and Sandra L. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY July 14, 1927, the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth Wagoner Swigert. Jean was a School Teacher in Wilson Central School then was co-founder and Teacher at Newfane United Methodist Church Nursery School where she impacted many children's lives. 8085 Jean M. Janese, 82, passed away on June 19, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Turner)  MacKay.
Jean attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School.  On December 5, 1956, she married Rudolph M. “Rudy” Janese.  Mr. Janese predeceased her on April 30, 2016 after 59 years of marriage.  Jean, along with her husband were longtime members of the Niagara Falls Moose Club.  She was an avid Sabres fan, and adored Rick Martin.  She enjoyed her daily mall walking at the Fashion Outlets with her friends. She also loved watching the band 90 West perform locally.  Above all, Jean cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jean is survived by three children, Rudolph M. (Amy) Janese, Jr., Jeffrey C. (Debra A.) Janese and Tina (Peter) Coppins, nine grandchildren, Rudolph (Kelly) Janese, III, Christopher (Wendy) Janese, Andrew Janese, Rochelle (Cody) Siezega, Jessica (Chris Carpio) Janese, Jeffrey Janese, Avery Coppins and Ryan Coppins; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Linda (Bill) Foy and Beverly (late Chuck) Dyson, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born in Buffalo, NY on October 27, 1927; daughter of the late John and Esther (Young) Moebius. Jean was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, in Bergholz. She was employed at Varsity Sporting Goods, McDonald's, and Invenex/Gibco on Grand Island. Jean was a dedicated homemaker, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Erwin Milleville on July 29, 1997. They were married May 28, 1949, and were blessed with three children, Larry Milleville of GA, Linda (Rodney) Haseley of Sanborn, and Paul Milleville of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Lisa (Wayne) Ohol, Jeffrey (Lori) Haseley, and Michael (Andrea) Haseley; great-grandchildren, Madison, Cassidy, Timothy, Julia, Joshua, and Evelyn; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are three sisters in law, Alice Lange, Emily Milleville, and Joanne Milleville. Preceding her in death included a brother, John (Edith) Moebius, and sister, Mildred (Harold) MaGinn.

Born on in Wilson, NY on November 2, 1930, the daughter of late Frank and Mabel (nee Seefeldt) Zahno.Jean was a graduate of Wilson High School class of 1948. She married Donald W. Pollow in the former North Ridge Lutheran Church (currently known as St. Peter's Lutheran Church) on April 28, 1951. Together they ran Zahno Vegetable Farms now known as Pollow Farms. If Jean was not working the farm, she enjoyed spending time with her family.Besides her parents, Jean is predeceased by her beloved husband of 42 years, Donald and dear brother Norman (late Barbara) Zahno. 8088 Jean N. Koenig, age 86, of Middleport, entered into rest on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born April 14, 1929 in Middleport, Jean is the daughter of the late William and Esther (Maass) Newman.
Jean attended school at Brockport State Teachers College and later received her Masters. Jean was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She married Herbert Koenig in 1959.
Jean worked at Royalton Hartland School District first as an Elementary School teacher and then as the school's Principal from 1959 - 1980. Jean loved to cooking and enjoyed playing cards, Sudoku puzzles, quilting and travel. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she chairman of their scholarship fund and participated in many activities and committees at the church.
She is survived by her husband: Herbert Koenig and sisters: Elva (the late James) Fritton and Marie (the late Dennis) Feldmann. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home 38 State Street, Middleport from 4-8 pm.

8089 Jean P. Coleman, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Residence, Lewiston, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on February 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Irving H. and Eleanor [Wendt] Pokelwaldt.

Mrs. Coleman grew up on the family farm and graduated from North Tonawanda High School. She was a banquet manager for various hotels in the area, before retiring from the Holiday Inn in Amherst in 1986. After her retirement she traveled across the United States and wintered in Mesa, AZ.

She was the wife of the late Ronald G. Coleman, they eloped on Christmas Eve, he passed away in August of 2000. Mrs. Coleman is survived by three sons William Coleman of Niagara Falls, NY, Richard (Brenda) Coleman of Sanborn and Douglas (Pam) Coleman of Niagara Falls, NY, five grandchildren Eric (Vanessa) Coleman, Devon (Steve) Ohol, Katie Coleman, Kelly (Adam) Serrano and Rachel Coleman, several great grandchildren, one brother of Neil (late Helen) Pokelwaldt, a brother-law Robert Wray, also several nieces and nephews. She was the great grandmother of the late Adriana Bradley and sister of the late Ruth Wray.

8090 Jean Ruth (Camann) Klettke, age 89, joined the Church Triumphant on July 7, 2019 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born April 27, 1930, to Franklin and Rosa (Jagow) Camann; she grew up in Bergholz (Town of Wheatfield) NY.
Jean was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, attended Holy Ghost School and graduated from LaSalle High School. She enjoyed English (German was spoken at home), home economics and bookkeeping. When she was 16, she began working at Kresge's Department Store in Niagara Falls.
Jean married Ivan "Corky" Klettke on July 12, 1952 in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, they lived in California and Rhode Island as Corky fulfilled his naval enlistment. They returned to purchase their family home on part of Jean's family's homestead. They celebrated holidays with extended family and friends, except for July 4, when they served the community at the Bergholz Fire Company Field Days.
Jean and Corky enjoyed Sunday outings at Camp Pioneer in Angola. They took semi-annual vacations to Rhode Island, enjoyed family camping trips, winter trips to Florida and driving to Alaska as retirees in 1994.
For most of her life, Jean was a homemaker and mother. In later years, she served as secretary and bookkeeper in the family land surveying business. She volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Parent Teacher League and the Ladies' Aide Society. She held offices in the Bergholz Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary and Historical Society of North German Settlements in Western NY, worked as elections inspector for the Niagara County Board of Elections, and was a member of the Valparaiso University Guild.
Jean is survived by her four sons, Neal (Sue), Russell, Bart (Gloria) and Matthew (Kareen); nine grandchildren, Lynette Boesken (Mark), Andy, Ted (Ariel, Erin, Cam, Joshua (engaged to Sarah Sorrentino), Kirsten, Noah and Amanda; two great-grandchildren, Stone and Pia Boesken; and three nieces, Gail Williamson (Rex), Elspeth Nevelson and Maria Nevelson. She is predeceased by her husband, Corky; and siblings, Edna McClenathan, Wilmer Camann and Marion Meitz.

8092 Jean Y. Baldwin, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, March 8th, 2019 at her residence.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Kathleen B. (Carmody) Phipps.
Jean attended local schools and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from the former Trott Vocational High School.  She married Richard H. Baldwin on April 2nd, 1949.  Mr. Baldwin predeceased her on May 3rd, !982.
Jean served the community as an LPN for over 30 years at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY and later at Beechwood Manor in Amherst, NY retiring in 1992.  Prior to becoming an LPN she worked at the Spirella Company and at Lindsay Photo both in Niagara Falls.  Jean loved animals, especially dogs and flower gardening.  Above all Jean centered her life around her family whom she loved spending time with.
Jean is survived by her children, Kathleen L. (nee Baldwin) (Mark S.) D’Elia and Richard K. Baldwin, 4 grandchildren, Mark A. D’Elia, Daniel K. (Molly) Baldwin, Richard L. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Fortunata “Fannie” (Conti) Scalzo; and the loving wife of the late Dominic F. Fera, whom she married on October 23, 1954 at St. Joseph's Church. 
Jeanette was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from D’Youville College, as well as her Master’s degree from Niagara University. She began her dedicated teaching career as a business teacher at Grand Island High School and LaSalle High School prior to retiring from Niagara Falls High School after many years.
She enjoyed going to the casino and spending the winter months at her residence in Las Vegas, NV. Above all, Jeanette enjoyed family gatherings and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Adam.
Mrs. Fera is survived by her children, Donald (Ann) Fera, Darlene (Bruce) Howarth, Mary Fera, and was predeceased by her cherished grandson, Adam Mulholland. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Chelsea Fera and Maria Fera; her siblings, Frank (late Barbara) Scalzo, Mary Ann (late Bruno) Mercurio and Patricia (Clifford “Kenny”) Calvello; and many nieces and nephews.

8095 Jeanette I. Cadille, 99, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 8, 2024 at Highlands at Brighton in Rochester, NY.  Born on September 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Savino and Maria (Gianotta) Nanula.
Jeanette attended local schools and was a 1943 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On April 9, 1947, she married Joseph J. Cadille at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mr. Cadille predeceased her on October 27, 2019 after 72 years of marriage.  Jeanette was employed from 1943 until 1949 as an X-Ray Technician for Dr. W. Scott and Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.  She later worked as a secretary for Bell Aerosystems for 2 years, and then worked at the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a secretary at Niagara Falls High School for 23 years until her retirement in 1987.  
Jeanette was a member of the Late-Late Club, the Retired Board of Education Breakfast Group, the Third Sunday Group, the Women’s Bocce League, and the Niagara Falls High School Alumni Lunch group where  she enjoyed working on class reunions.   Other interests were golfing, swimming, walking, making crafts, playing bocce, and following Major League Baseball.  She also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her circle of family and friends.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Richard (Christina) Cadille and David (Colleen) Cadille; her granddaughters Colette (Mario) Retrosi, Jennifer (Bradley) McKnight and Elisa (Jeremy) Kelly; her great-grandchildren, Julia, Andrew, and Braden McKnight, Luciano Retrosi, and Emmett Kelly; her brother, Richard (late Shirle) Nanula as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Frances (late Carmen) Mancuso, Anthony (late Violet) Nanula, and Savino ‘Nino’ (Virginia) Nanula.

Jeanette married her beloved husband, William C. Tickett, and spent over 50 loving years together until his passing in the early 1990’s. She was a talented sewer and also enjoyed crocheting and baking.

A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Jeanine graduated from Niagara Falls High School and earned her associate degree from Niagara County Community College. She previously worked at McDonald's on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls and later for the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.
Jeanine had a great interest in ducks and enjoyed playing bingo throughout the local halls. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her friends and family.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to her good friend, Belinda Pittman, for her friendship and help throughout the years.
Jeanine is survived by her brother, David (Lori) Foran; sister, Maria Foran; her niece, Kayla Foran; and nephew, Steven Foran, as well as many cousins.

8099 Jeanne (Holland) Ransom, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home, Schoellkopf Health Center. She was 94. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on March 29, 1922, the daughter of the late Herman and Amelia (Williams) Holland. She attended schools and graduated in Pennsylvania, moving to Niagara Falls in 1964.

Mrs. Ransom was employed as a key punch operator for the Niagara Falls Board of Education and later for Chisholm Ryder, retiring in 1988. Following her retirement, she volunteered for HANCI as a home companion until 2010. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, serving with its Altar Guild and was a member of the church choir.

As a young lady, she loved to play tennis and dance. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted family person, with a bright sense of humor and contagious smile.

Survivors include her two daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Ransom of Niagara Falls and Jean (Francis) DeMarco of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Megan (Philip) Gross; Jessica and Amanda Moore; Joseph (Kim) DeMarco; Dr. Emily (Dr. Michael) Polischuk; Elizabeth and Laura DeMarco; two great granddaughters, Grace Jean and Adeline; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan (Paul) Moore, and siblings, Theodore; Harold; Carl and Mark Holland; Jacqueline Schimpf and Theodora Roper.

Friends may call Friday after 3:30 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where a closing prayer will be held at 8 PM Friday. Funeral services Saturday 11 AM in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 616 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls. The interment will be private in the columbarium at her church. In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to Niagara Hospice, Inc., in her memory

8100 Jeanne A. Hromowyk (Schimschack) age 86, of North Tonawanda, November 2, 2016 in DeGraff Skilled Nursing after a brief illness. Jeanne was a life-long member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and was a member of the church choir. She was a jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, she loved camping and hunting and had a love of lighthouses. Jeanne was the only woman to have triplets born at DeGraff Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward Hromowyk. Beloved mother of David (Carol), Thomas (Deborah), Gerald (Joyce), Larry (Marcy) and the late Carol Moll. Grandmother of DJ, Christopher, Michael, Amy, Wesley (Kim), Andrea, Justin (Whitney), Sarah (Jacob) Merchant, Kristin Hromowyk, Bryan (Kristin) Leavoy, and Lori (Tim) Pierson. Great-grandmother of Grace Merchant, Montana Hromowyk, and Wyatt Hromowyk. Mother-in-Law of Harold Moll. Sister of Marilyn (late Gilbert) Frieling, Ruth (Bob) Maerten and the late Betty Walters. Sister-in-Law of Donald Walters, aunt of several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Monday from St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St., interment will be in St. Mark Cemetery.
