8351 Joyce Fern Hardison Campbell passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 30, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born November 6, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Dayton E. and Mabel I. (Benedict) Hardison. Joyce was a graduate of the Youngstown Red Brick School and the Rochester Business Institute. She began her secretarial career at Pittsburgh Met, then with the Lake Ontario Ordinance Works, followed by the Town of Porter Zoning and Planning Board. Joyce attained her most coveted position as Secretary to the Principal at Wilson High School and spent many years there before retiring in 1983. She loved the students and faculty and they loved her as well. The Class of 1980 honored her by dedicating the "Crest" yearbook to her , expressing their appreciation for all the hard work she did for them. It warmed her heart to be recognized by former student's years after her retirement.Joyce was a former member of St. John Episcopal Church in Youngstown and it was there that she married Roy L. Campbell, Sr. on November 23, 1946. After their retirement Joyce and Roy spent their winters in Florida with their son Keith and his family and close friends. Summers were spent gardening, with family, as well as summer vacations at Lake Missassagagon in Ontario, Canada. She treasured her time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joyce was an inspiration to all who knew her and she will be remembered for her smile and laughter.She was a 72 year member of the Ransomville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #374; a founding member of the Ransomville Garden Club; and a member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Joyce was also a co-founder of the first annual Lighting of the Wreaths in Ransomville. Roy predeceased her on October 12, 2002. She is survived by her children, Heather (Michael) Millis of Newfane, Keith (Michaelene) Campbell of Brooksville, FL, Brian Campbell (Grace Vona) and Roy L. Campbell, Jr. (Lisa Snyder) both of Ransomville; her grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Veronica and Dayton Campbell; her great grandchildren, Jonathon, Sean, Makayla, and Nolan Campbell; a brother, Denton E. (Esther) Hardison of Ransomville; her former daughter in law, Shirley Campbell of Ransomville; many special nieces and nephews and her feline pal, "Callie" She was predeceased by a grandson, Kaillen ; a brother, Gerald A. (Marion) Hardison, and her predeceased brother and sisters in law, Thomas and Josephine Campbell, Margaret (Campbell) and Vernon Slyster, and Doreen (Campbell) and Ernest Whiteford. 8352 Joyce Loretta (Toenniessen) Bull, 91, died peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018.  Born February 15, 1927 to Norman Toenniessen and Loretta (Merz) Toenniessen.  She graduated from Lockport High School in 1944.  September 1944 she entered Deaconess School of Nursing in Buffalo, graduating in 1947.  She was especially proud of becoming a Registered Nurse under the US Army Cadet Nurse Corps (which was established to prevent a nursing shortage during WW II).  She worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1987.
 
Devoted wife of Gerald E. Bull, married June 19, 1948, First English Lutheran Church, Lockport.  This June would have been their 70th Anniversary.
 
Survived by husband, Gerald Bull; and four children Linda Stevens, Donna Macaluso both of Lockport, Richard (Sheila) Bull of Middleport, and Gary (Diane) Bull of Alleghany; also six beloved grandchildren, five great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren.  Also sister-in-law Geraldine Luckman, nieces, nephews, and dear cousins.
 
Having attended the one room Cobblestone School House, corner of Hamm and Transit Roads, Town of Lockport, she remained active in its annual reunions, hosting many at her home.  Past member of the Town of Lockport Historical Society, Niagara County Historical Society, and active in Toenniessen Family Reunions.  She taught Sunday School at First English Lutheran Church.

8353 Joyce M. Lindhurst (Baker) age 78, of the Town of Lockport, formerly of North Tonawanda, peacefully went of Heaven of October 7, 2022. Joyce loved sewing, cooking, and baking, she loved bird watching, and most of all loved spending time at home with family. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Marge Baker. 8354 Joyce M. Soluri, 82, of Grand Island, NY, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2019, at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Betty (Allen) Soluri.
Joyce attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1953. She began working at Moore Business Forms and was also employed by Alox Corp and Airco Alloys. She later retired from the Carbide and Graphite Group in 2000 after many years.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who she especially enjoyed spending time with.
Joyce is survived by her siblings, Mary Lou (Mike) Ventry, Judy (Jim) Capolupo, Ron (Lucy) Soluri, and was predeceased by one sister, Eleanor (late Carmen) Piro. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Rene (Rick) Penale, Gina Pasquantino, Michael (Caroline) Ventry, Mark Ventry, Kathy Leckey, Maria Capolupo, Chris (Tori) Capolupo, Ron (Amy) Soluri and Theresa (Michael) Schuey, as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 9th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Stephen’s Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island, NY. Age 88 of the City of Tonawanda. Wife of 49 years to the late Clement M. Joyce, Sr. who died in 2004, mother of Clement (Marcia) Joyce, Jr. and Leonard (Wendy) Joyce and grandmother of Christina Joyce, sister of Florence (late Larry) Noker. Predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was a long time active member of St. Francis of Assisi RC Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and also assisting the Homebound for many years. She was also an avid quilter and an active volunteer for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday April 5, 2024 at 11:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St. in the City of Tonawanda. Everyone welcome to attend. 8356 Judith A. "Judie" Smith, age 74 of Youngstown, and wife of David P. Smith, entered into rest on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Judith was born October 13, 1946 in Lackawanna, NY. She is the daughter of the late Edmund and the late Josephine (Bonarek) Tylock.
Judie was a graduate of Lackawanna High School and Doyle Beauty School. She married David P. Smith on November 19, 1966.
She retired from Ransomville Bus Lines for the Lewiston-Porter School District as a bus driver in 2000 after 25 years. She was instrumental in organizing the fundraiser, along with her husband, for the Youngstown Vol. Fire Co.
She is survived by her husband, David P. Smith; her son, Timothy E. (Dawn) Smith; a sister, Deborah (Richard) Kazmierczak; her grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas, Paige and Victoria Smith; and a great-grandchild, Aiden Smith; also several nieces and nephews; and granddog, Maximus. Judie is predeceased by her son, Michael D. Smith, on Sept. 11, 2015.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, N. Fourth and Ridge Sts., Lewiston, NY. A service of committal for family and close friends will be held on Wednesday, February 10th at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Entombment will be in All-Saints Mausoleum.

8357 Judith A. (nee Paterniti) Letourneau, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Friday, June 30, 2017.  Born on January 7, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY, Judy, as she was known to family and friends, was the daughter of Ruth Mary (Birmingham) Paterniti and the late Francis Paterniti.
Judy was a lifelong Niagara Falls resident.  She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and earned her Associates Degree in Business from Niagara County Community College. Judy was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education and later retired from the City of Niagara Falls, where she worked in various departments at Niagara Falls City Hall.  She was an animal lover and always cherished her pet dogs and cats.  Judy enjoyed reading John Grisham books.
In addition to her mother, Judy is survived by three children, Patrick J. (Amy House) Letourneau, II, Noel (Kelly) Letourneau and Christopher (Kim) Letourneau; two granddaughters, Victoria and Elizabeth and several cousins.  In addition to her father, Judy was predeceased by her sister, Lynn and former spouse, Patrick J. Letourneau.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, July 7th from 6-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. 8358 Judith A. Condino, 78, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on August 5, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Oneida, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Winifred (Wendt) Walton.
Judy came to the area as a child with her family. She was a 1963 graduate of Orchard Park High School. She went on to earn a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Valparaiso University in 1967, then continued on to earn a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from University of Buffalo in 1972, and later another Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Niagara University in 1994. On August 16, 1969, she married James A. Condino.
Judy was employed as a Stewardess for Pan American World Airways in the late 1960’s and later worked as a third-grade teacher in Phoenix, AZ. She then worked as a Special Education Teacher at Orleans Niagara BOCES for 25 years. Judy also served as the Director of Special Education and Intermediate School Principal at Newfane Central School District for 4 years. In 1998, she became the Director of Special Education and Instructional Services until 2007. Most recently, she was employed as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the Education Department at Niagara University for 10 years until her retirement in 2017. 
Judy was heavily involved with Rivershore Inc., for 23 years, serving 20 years as a Member of the Board of Directors, including a stint as the Chairwoman of the Board, and 3 years as a member of their Advisory Council. Judy was very active at her church, the Lutheran Church of The Messiah. She loved reading, and had a great passion for travelling.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, Judith is survived by her children, Lisa M. Condino, PhD., James R. (Amy) Condino and Joseph N. (Monica) Condino; her grandchildren, Ava, Anabella, Anthony and Andrew; her siblings, Roberta (late Larry) Krizan, Bradley (Debbie) Walton, Esq., Tim (Kelly) Walton, Esq. and Skip (Gayle) Walton, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 11 at 11 AM at the Lutheran Church of The Messiah, 915 Oneida Street, Lewiston, NY 14092. Private entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Wright passed away February 27, 2023 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  Born September 30, 1940 in Lockport she was the daughter Evan and Gladys (Kugler) Crane.  Judith worked for Albion Correctional Facility where she was a corrections officer.  She enjoyed being with her family, attending their sporting events, and gardening.  Judith was predeceased by her husband Henry J. Wright, Jr., and siblings Paul Crane, Evan Crane, Carla Crane, and Sandra (late John) Hinton.
Judith is survived by her children Henry (Michelle) Wright III, Jeanine (Peter) Denes, Matthew (Sheila) Wright, Patrick (Christina) Wright Sr., John (Sabrina) Wright, Douglas Wright, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Waters, and Derek (Jessica Breunig) Wright; twenty-two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren with three more on the way; siblings Kathy (late Joseph) Rucci, Paula (Paul) Mayers, and Carl (Donna) Crane; also several nieces and nephews.

8361 Judith Ann Prentice of Appleton, NY wife of the late Robert M Prentice passed away on 12/4/21 after a brief illness. Judith was born to Paul and Sarah Strickland of oil city PA. Judy retired from Harrison Radiator in the late 90s. 
She enjoyed her time most while she was crafting, crocheting, painting, reading and watching hallmark movies. She loved spending time outside watching the birds and playing cards with her family. But most of all loved spending time with her grandkids. 
Judith survived by her children Tammy Wheeler, Traci Troy and Robert Prentice Jr and honorary son Gary Weidel. Also survived by grandchildren Sarah (Andrew) Moore, Brooke (Sara) Troy, Jason (Amber) Troy, Shayla Jefferson, Debbie Cory and Tara Prentice. Judith had her great grandchildren Ethan Moore and predeceased by Dakota Moore. 
Judy was lucky enough to have so many siblings. Survived by James (Cynthia) Strickland and Sandra (Michael) DiPastena. Siblings predeceased by Paula Torres, Thomas Strickland Sr and Dorothy Drelick. 
Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 
Judith lived a beautiful life with the people who loved her.

8362 Judith Arlene Webb Cruickshank, of Siler City, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
 
The daughter of the late James Arthur Webb and Elsie E. Webb, Judith was born June 12th, 1940, in Niagara Falls, New York.  A graduate of LaSalle High School, she attended Buffalo State University and then worked at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital for more than 20 years. Judith met and married the love of her life, the late Duncan Sinclair Cruickshank III, and they were married for 48 years.
 
She is survived by her brother Timothy Webb of Flint, Michigan, sister Nancy Brenske of Winston Salem, North Carolina, and sister Rosemary Trapasso of Youngstown, New York. She leaves behind a legacy of four surviving children and their families: Duncan Sinclair Cruickshank IV of Siler City, North Carolina; Bruce Cruickshank and his wife Elizabeth of Chesapeake, Virginia, and their children Duncan, John, Rachel, and Elizabeth; Sharon Guariglia and her husband Richard of Silk Hope, North Carolina, and their children Michael and Nicholas; and Brenda Stecher and her husband Joseph of Siler City, North Carolina, and their children David and Emily.
 
A celebration of Judith’s life will be held on Friday, December 1st at 10:30am at St. Julia’s Church in Siler City, followed by a short reception in the church hall.

8365 Judith F. (Jehrio) Ponzi of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was 74. She was born in Buffalo, New York on August 10, 1941, a daughter of the late Francis and Jean (Lukasik) Jehrio. She graduated from North Tonawanda High School and then worked in the insurance industry for many years.
Mrs. Ponzi was involved in several Town of Wheatfield Committees, including organizing the town picnic and founding the farmers’ market, she was a member of the Wheatfield Republican Club, served as a Girl Scout leader, was involved with the Buffalo Skating Club and served as a Buffalo Ambassador, bringing skating competitions to WNY. She was a member of the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW) and was a longtime parishioner of Saint Christopher’s Church in Tonawanda, but her greatest joy in her life was her time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Mrs. Ponzi is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Richard A. Ponzi, two daughters, Susan L. (Alan) Zamorski and Sharon M. (William) Jennings. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Jillian and Aidan Zamorski and Benjamin and Anna Jennings, three siblings: Francis “Butch” Jehrio, Kathleen “Bonnie” Jehrio and Peter Jehrio and one niece and four nephews.

8366 Judith L. Blakelock, age 83 of the Town of Niagara, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on November 9, 2024 while at the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Born in Sugar Hill, PA on August 22, 1941; she was the daughter of the late Arden and Elsie (Wingove) VanNorman. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1960, and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, on Military Road in the Town of Niagara. Judith had been employed at Marsh's General Store, and the former Myla's Fabrics. 8367 Judith Schrecengost, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Safire Rehabilitation of Northtowns in Tonawanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hilda (Deeter) Marshanke.
Judy married her beloved husband, William A. Schrecengost on December 23, 1989 at the former Niagara Falls Wintergarden. In 1996, they moved to North Carolina where they spent over 25 years together prior to returning to Niagara Falls to be closer to their family. Mr. Schrecengost sadly predeceased her on May 22, 2020.
Judy enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid fan of Jeff Gordon. She was also a 35-year member of AA and took great pride in helping others with alcohol addiction. Above all, Judy cherished the times she spent with her loving family who will miss her greatly.
Judy is survived by her children, Tina (late Duane) Delgrolice, Jeff (Paula) Norton, Peggy (Ken) Paul and was predeceased by her daughter, Linda (Ken) Cooper. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jenny (Donny) Ames, Nicole Falcone, Adam Paul, Bryan Paul, Cody Paul, Kate Stoneback and Anthony Falcone; four great-grandchildren, Kaylee Ames, Logan Stoneback, Cora Paul and Hailey Paul, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, a daughter to the late Herbert Carl Schuler and the late Mary Buhr Schuler, she was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and was a cherished member of Saint Matthias Lutheran Church in Easley, SC, where she was active in WELCA, the Altar Guild and the church choir. She loved reading, cooking and pottery.
Surviving are a son, Joshua James Farrell (Amie) of Columbia, SC; daughters, Kelly Andrews Moran (Brian) of Buffalo, NY, Kyle Andrews Smith (Ronald) of Piedmont, SC, Jennifer Andrews Letourneau (Paul) of Piedmont, SC, and Amy Beth Ciccarelli (Chris) of Lancaster, NY; a brother, Gerald Carl Schuler (Jeanne) of Stewart, FL; grandchildren, Jeremy Kubanek, Patrick Kubanek, Matthew Oberg, Zachary Alessi, Jacob Alessi, John Letourneau, Sarah Hotel, Sammy Hotel and Jacob Hotel. He was a avid motorcyclist, enjoyed being a part of the Goldwing Club of West Palm each, FL., and went on many trips with his wife & good friends Otto & Shirley Newhart. He also enjoyed bowling in West Palm Beach & worked part-time at the Fiesta Bowling center as well as being a part of many leagues here in The Villages. Jud was a Christian, who believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior & took to heart the saying, "love one another & treat everyone as you would want to be treated". He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and Ephipany Lutheran Church of Lake Worth FL where he served as an Elder, Vice-President been on the Finance committee also served as an usher, greeter, fellowship committee & Alter Guild, and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Summerfield FL. Schultz, 72, went to be with our Lord December 6, 2022.  She was born October 17, 1950 in Medina the daughter of the late Elmer G and Emily Ann (Schilling) Schultz.  Judy graduated from Royalton Hartland Central School and then graduated from Genesee State College and Brockport State with her Teacher Certificate.  She was a beloved Kindergarten teacher at Barker Elementary School for 31 years. Judy was a member and played the organ at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Lyndonville Busy Buddies and Johnson Creek Seniors and the NYS Retired Teachers Association.  After retirement Judy volunteered at the Dale Center in Lockport.  Judy loved spending time with her family, traveling, dogs and keeping up on her former students lives. Judy is survived by her sisters, Donna (Dennis) Besco of Gasport, Nina (Patrick) Smith of Naples; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Robert) McAndrew, Jason, (Sue Porter) Besco, Colleen (Jon) Betrus and Justin Smith; great-nieces & nephews, Emily Branch, Allison Branch, Jacob Betrus, Connor Betrus and Robert McAndrew; several cousins and lifelong friends. 8373 Julia A. (nee Hyla) Alongi, 72, of Lewiston, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her residence, following a brief illness. Born on November 27, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor Hyla.

Mrs. Alongi attended local schools. Following her marriage to her husband, Louis R. Alongi, she briefly resided in the Town of Niagara and for the past 22 years, in Lewiston. Julia was employed as a bartender for many local restaurants and for the past 20 years for Apple Granny in Lewiston. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish where she attended the St. Leo's worship site. Mrs. Alongi served as a volunteer at the St. Jude Shrine on Ridge Road. Julia loved to cook and entertain guests.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Alongi is survived by nieces and nephews, Bruce (Cynthia) Wojick and their son, Vito, Frank M. Alongi, Dr. Martin (Mary) Alongi, Greg (Karen) Alongi, Joanne Kirkpatrick, Joseph Perri, Vince C. Perri and Julia Perri; her brother-in-law, Vince Perri and several cousins. In addition to her parents, Julia was predeceased by her step-sister, Shelia Perri; one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Olscamp graduated from St. Mary's High School.    She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church where she worked on the Church's Bereavement Committee.     She also belonged to the prayer group at St. George's Catholic Church and the First Saturday Club, she later became a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in North Tonawanda.     Mrs. Olscamp loved spending time with her family and had a deep devotion to her church and her faith. She is survived by her husband John K. Olscamp, four sons Vincent (Bonnie),  Michael (Linda), John (Marie) and  Francis (Moira) Olscamp, two daughters, Anne (Philip) Cafarella and Maria (Chip) Taylor, her late son's fiancee' Amy Griffin, seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. 8377 Julian E. Tomaszewski, 98, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, following a brief illness. Born in Ransomville, he was the son of the late Leon and Mary (Szelep) Tomaszewski.
Mr. Tomaszewski attended Niagara Falls schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School. He was inducted in the U.S. Army in 1941 and rose to the rank of First Sergeant in 1944. He was honorably discharged in November 1945 after more than four years of service at Fort Niagara in Youngstown; Camp Croft in South Carolina; and Camp Blanding in Florida.
Mr. Tomaszewski retired as a supervisor after a 43-year career with Niagara Alkali Co., Hooker Chemical Co. and Occidental Chemical Corp. in Niagara Falls.
Mr. Tomaszewski was a longtime member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, until its closing in 2008. He then attended Divine Mercy parish. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Society of St. Vincent de Paul for more than 50 years, and was particularly active with its Food Pantry. He also was very active in Sacred Heart's Holy Name Society, bereavement committee and as an usher. Additionally, he volunteered at St. Mary's Manor and was a member of the American Legion Post 1465 and Woodmen of the World.
He was well-known for his storytelling and excellent memory, always remembering to send his fellow St. Vincent de Paul members birthday cards. For many decades, he and his wife, Sophie (Adamczyk), enjoyed their summer home in Long Beach, Ontario.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Tomaszewski is survived by his daughter, Barbara; grandson Jeff (Melissa) Cain and granddaughter, Laurie (Bruce) Elliott; two great-grandsons, Collin and Evan Elliott and great-granddaughter, Abigail Cain; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose (Cancemi), who passed away in 1968. He was also predeceased by three brothers: John (the late Josephine) Tomaszewski of Farmington, Maine; Casmier (the late Irene) Tomaszewski of Niagara Falls; and Stanley (the late Irene) Tomaszewski of Niagara Falls; and a sister, Bernice (the late Joseph) Donaldson of Niagara Falls.

8378 Julie M. Brierley, 54, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 28, 2023 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Sandra (Reubens) Scarfone.
Julie was previously employed as a server at Mike’s Marketside Restaurant.  She also worked in construction for various local firms.  Most recently, Julie was self-employed as a Home Health Care Aide.  She also was a Licensed Beautician. Julie loved the outdoors, especially camping, adventuring and walking the gorge.  She will be remembered for her supporting and genuine nature, her outspokenness, and always had a lot of love to give.  Above all, she loved being a mother and a grandmother – she fought until the end and found the strength to continue because of her grandchildren.
Julie is survived by her children, Dominique Scarfone (Qumane Dykes) and Felicia Scarfone; her grandchildren, Nahshayla Scarfone-Dykes, Audumn Scarfone-Dykes, Kameron Scarfone-Dykes, and Aubriella Scarfone-Dykes; her husband, Michael Brierley; her sister, Gina (Robert) Mollosky, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Ronald ‘Ron’ Scarfone, Lorraine Buchman, and Tina (Jim) Salhany.

8379 Juliet M. Naccarato, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 16, 2020, at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gasper and Ida (Bonnacorso) Aceti.
Juliet attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1955. In 1958, she married Rocco Naccarato in St. Joseph Church. Mr. Naccarato predeceased her on April 3, 2020 after 62 years of marriage.
She was employed at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in the kitchen and later at the Century Club in housekeeping in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a former officer and longtime member of the ISDA Volare Lodge #269. She loved watching Notre Dame football and Lifetime movies. Juliet was an excellent cook and baker who loved to prepare foods to please others. Juliet's recipes will truly be treasured and carried on by her family and friends. Juliet was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, nani and great friend to many and will truly be missed by all.
Juliet is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Anthony) Schipani; her grandson, Michael Rocco Schipani; and her brother, John (Carol) Aceti; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Juliet was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph (Marie) Aceti and Sam Aceti.

Florence V. (Costanzo) Rotella, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Fiore and Olga (Sawma) Costanzo.
Florence was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School in 1941. On September 21, 1968, she married Louis A. Rotella in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Rotella predeceased her on August 6, 2008. For thirty years, Florence worked at Bell Aerospace in Niagara Falls, NY as an insurance adjuster until her retirement in the late 1980's. In her leisure time, Florence enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and watching her favorite television show Wheel of Fortune. But Florence's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially family dinners and outings as well as short road trips with her daughter, Jean, and son-in-law, Gary. In her later years, playing cards with her grandchildren on Sunday afternoon at her daughter Anne's home became a ritual.
Grandma would like to thank Nicole for her nightly care which was always done with love.

TOWN OF NIAGARA — Robert P. "Zeke" LePosa, 74, of the Town of Niagara, NY, died on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on March 7, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Ladislaw and Ruth (Gumbert) LePosa.

Mr. LePosa was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. On June 12, 1965, he married the former Arlene F. Thompson. She predeceased him on January 4, 2003. Zeke, as he was known by family and friends, worked for Slipko Brothers as a meat cutter, the New York State Power Authority, the Laborers Local #91, Quality Markets and Niagara Produce. Mr. LePosa was a member of Niagara Presbyterian Church, in the Town of Niagara, where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #838 and the 7-Clan Bowmens Club. Zeke enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing, cooking, taking trips to Canada and spending the winter months at Orange Acres in Sarasota, FL.

Mr. LePosa is survived by his loving companion, Patricia Lenahan of the Town of Niagara, NY; three sons, Robert P. LePosa, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, Anthony (Susan) Quarcini of Niagara Falls, NY and Enrico (Mary Ann) Quarcini of Canton, OH; four grandchildren, Stephen (Jennifer) Quarcini, David Quarcini, Michael Quarcini and Anthony Quarcini and five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Onalee, Jacob, Julia and Kyle. Zeke is also survived by five siblings, Richard (Donna) LePosa of Texas, David (Linda) LePosa of Ohio, Jeanne (David) LePosa Samsel of Nevada, Albert (Shirley) LePosa of Pennsylvania and Joseph (Rose Marie) LePosa of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one grandson, Matthew Quarcini.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, July 13th at 10:00 AM in Niagara Presbyterian Church, 3712 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Justin Marple officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. LOCKPORT — Timothy W. Zapp passed away, unexpectedly, into eternal rest July 9, 2011. Born on December 13, 1953 in Lockport, he was the son of Bernard Zapp and the late Eleanor (Spade) Zapp. Tim worked as a laborer for Stedman Old Farm Nurseries.

Besides his father, Bernard Zapp he is survived by his wife, Karyn Zapp; step-sons, Kenneth D. and Paul S. Aikin, both of Newfane; and was the brother of Terry (Fukumi) Zapp of Arizona and Michael (Christine) Zapp of Lockport.

A native of Tonawanda, she was the wife of Stuart Ludwig, who died in 1970, and Warren Henrich, who died in 1975; and was the grandmother of the late William Ludwig and great-grandmother of the late Lucas Ludwig. A 1940 graduate of Tonawanda High School and a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild. Rhoda was secretary to the principal at Tonawanda Junior High School for 24 years, retiring in 1983. She is survived by two sons, David (Kathy) Ludwig of Cowlesville, NY and Wayne (Lynne) Ludwig of Ocala, FL; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two plus great-great-grand- children; her sister, Marilynn (Walter) Eising of East Amherst and was the sister of the late William (the late Marge) Sommerfeldt. Ruth D. Myers, of Sanborn, NY, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2014, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on May 10, 1915, the daughter of Chester and Maude (Subbera) Dean.
Mrs. Myers graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1933. Her first employment was with The Niagara Searchlight Company in Niagara Falls, NY. After her marriage in 1942 and her husband's return from WWII, she became a homemaker and mother. She later went on to work as a bookkeeper in the Food Services Department of the Niagara-Wheatfield Central School District, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Myers obtained her real estate license and worked in the Lockport business office of Paul Robshaw Gallery of Homes until 1981. A very special part of her career was to join the Foster Grandparent Program at BOCES in Sanborn, NY, where she loved and helped many children and made many wonderful friends from 1981 to 1993. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Pekin.
She was the wife of the late Herbert C. Myers who died in March of 1963. She is survived by four children, Nancy (Dennis) Davidson of Punta Gorda, FL, Robert (Nancy Diegelman) Myers of North Port, FL, Richard (Carol Buerger) Myers of Sanborn, NY, and Roger (Julie Pringle) Myers of Sanborn, NY; eight grandchildren, Brandon and Ryan Davidson, Cortney, Jennifer, Rick, Jason, Jeremy and Kaylie Myers and Ashley Pringle; five great-grandchildren, Shila Myers, Kalie Rae and Joshlyn Zoladz and Mason and Jake Davidson.
The family will be present on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be on Monday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. MOBILE, AL — Shirley Jean Alcorn Strasburg, 78, of Mobile AL, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010, following a long illness. Shirley was the daughter of the late Halvin and Gertrude Alcorn, also of Niagara Falls, NY, and was the beloved wife of the late William Harold Strasburg. Bill died in 2008 in Mobile AL. They had been happily married 55 years. After leaving Niagara Falls in 1971, they lived in Mobile, AL, Charleston, SC and then returned to live near family in Mobile, AL.

Shirley was a laboratory chemist by trade and worked at Oldbury, Hooker Chemical and Union Carbide. She was also an expert seamstress and worked at Piece Goods in Charleston, SC.

Shirley, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, is survived by her four children (Kathy Gresh, Maryland; Karen McNeal, Georgia; William Strasburg, South Carolina; and Charles Strasburg, Alabama); 12 grandchildren; one sister, (Betty Dugan, Texas). Her oldest sister, Verna Alcorn, died the day after her death on July 10, 2010 in Lewiston. She was predeceased by her brother, Phillip.

Shirley was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was always there to listen to stories, dry your tears and take pride in your achievements. She was an excellent cook and you could count on your “favorite” dish being served when you visited. Her love for her children and her grandchildren was unconditional.

A private Memorial Service was held on July 11, 2010 in Mobile, AL. In lieu of flowers, family members ask that donations be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.

LEWISTON — (Lewiston) - Verna E. Alcorn, age 89, long time resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Fairchild Manor Nursing Home, in Lewiston, following a long illness. Verna was born March 19, 1921, in Niagara Falls, NY, the beloved daughter of the late Halvin and Gertrude (Bechtel) Alcorn, also of Niagara Falls, NY.

During the war, Verna worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Memorial Hospital. Soon after, Verna traveled to New York City to work for American Airlines and then later Levitt and Sons. When she returned to Niagara Falls in the 1950s, she worked as an Executive Secretary at Pittsburgh Metallurgical (later called Airco Alloys). She ended her career at Lindy.

She enjoyed her membership in the Quota Club for many years and contributed her time working at the Attic Shop run by the Ladies Auxiliary of Zion Lutheran Church.

Verna, a loving sister, cousin and aunt, is survived by her sister, Betty Dugan (Texas); cousin, Vera Caldwell (Niagara Falls); nieces, Kathy Strasburg Gresh (Maryland), Karen Strasburg McNeal (Georgia); and nephews, Kent Dugan (Texas), Kirk Dugan (Texas), William Strasburg (South Carolina), Charles Strasburg (Alabama). She was predeceased by her brother, Phillip (as a child); and then her sister, Shirley Alcorn Strasburg, who died Friday, July 9, 2010 in Mobile, AL.

Verna was an extremely generous and loving person. She gave selflessly to family and friends all of her life. She was an adventurous spirit who loved to try new things. She loved gardening and her pets.

Funeral services will be held at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Wednesday, July 14th at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas Mason officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Lewiston. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Humane Society or the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Gloria attended Holy Name Catholic School in Brooklyn, NY. She enjoyed watching old movies, listening to music and playing cards with her family. Gloria loved hosting family gatherings. She and Cliff enjoyed going to church dinners.

HOT SPRINGS, AR - Mr. Melvin Kenneth Baldwin, age 80, of Oden, AR, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in Hot Springs.

He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 1, 1933, the son of the late Frederick George Baldwin and the late Georgina Shook Baldwin. He was married for many happy years to Barbara Lindsey. Melvin retired from the United States Air Force as a TSGT. He gave 22 years of service as a Master EOD Technician, serving in both Korea and Vietnam. He was of the Episcopal faith and was a member of the VFW, the DAV and the NRA. Melvin was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was much loved and will be remembered always by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lindsey Baldwin of the home; sons, Kenneth Baldwin of Randolph, ME, Charles Reese Baldwin of Monroe, ME; step-daughter, Phyllis Joan Keith and husband, Kenneth, of Tuttle, OK; step-son, Ray Kwok and wife, Fatma, of Harvest, AL; sister, Anita Leo of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.

Memorial services were held Friday, July 11, 2014, at 10:00 AM in the Beasley-Wood Chapel. Interment will be at a later date at the National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, AR, with full military honors rendered by the United States Air Force.

LOCKPORT - Roger L. Goodman, 85, passed away Sunday evening, July 6, 2014, at Newfane Rehabilitation Center. Roger was born on April 8, 1929 in North Tonawanda, son of the late Wallace E. and Gladys (Heidenfeldt) Goodman. He married Betty Lou Dunigan on June 3, 1950. She died August 7, 2006. Roger worked for the U.S. Army in Niagara Falls on the Nike missile sites for 17 years, and then with his wife; they operated Goodman's Delicatessen in N. Tonawanda. They sold the store in 1981 and he went to work for Mobil Oil in Buffalo, transferred to Wichita, KS then to Ferndale, WA, retiring from British Petroleum. After his retirement he moved to Winthrop, NY, then to Lockport. During his working years, he was always motivated to better himself by attending classes and studying independently. Industrious by nature, Roger built his first home, rebuilt and repaired automobiles and had a creative way to renovate closets. He was an avid boater, fishing in Lake Whatcom and Bellingham Bay in WA and on the St. Lawrence River, and enjoyed hunting, golf, bowling and traveling. He is survived by two children, Michael and Patti Goodman of Winthrop and Tammy Jo Goodman and friend John of Lockport; two grandchildren, Julia Goodman and her fiance, Michael O'Brien of Brasher Falls, and Jonathan Goodman of Winthrop; one sister, Carol Forth of Lockport; one brother, Richard and Ann Goodman of Tonawanda; his Aunt Florence Taylor of Wheatfield; several nieces and nephews. Roger was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, Ernest Forth and several aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 18th at Noon, at White Chapel Memorial Park, 3210 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst, with Rev. Kevin R. NEWFANE — Mary Lou (Prue) Douglas passed away peacefully on July 11, 2011 in St. Augustine, Florida. She was born on January 6, 1927 in Newfane, New York, and married to Malcolm L. (Red) Douglas on June 10, 1950.

She lived most of her life in Newfane, having wintered for many years in Florida. Mary was a seamstress, first mate to her husband on their charter boat, and an avid bingo player who lived life to its fullest.

She is predeceased by her husband; parents, Eva and Joseph Prue; brothers, Roy and Norman; and sister, Ruth Zedick. She is survived by her son, Robert Douglas and his partner, Ellie Ferraro, of Buffalo; brother and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Prue of Garden Grove, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Herbert Blake of Dayton, NV; and sister-in-law, Shirley Prue, of Lockport. She also was loved by many nieces and nephews, great- nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Born on October 4, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Evelyn (Brydges) Cowling.

Mrs. Briggs was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On June 25, 1960, Edith married George F. Briggs in Niagara Falls, NY. He predeceased her on April 10, 2004. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her dog, Tiny.

Mrs. Briggs is survived by two children, George F. (Barbara Amantia) Briggs, Jr. and Cindy S. (Timothy) LaGamba, both of Niagara Falls, NY; two grandsons, Keith F. Briggs and Nicholas D. LaGamba, both of Niagara Falls, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was predeceased by one daughter, Bonnie Briggs and two brothers, Thomas and Cecil Cowling.

Dorothy Jackson, loving wife of the late Albert Jackson, Jr., caring mother, sister and grandmother, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice after a battle with cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 27, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Luella Burridge.
She graduated from the former LaSalle Jr./ Sr. High School. Mrs. Jackson was employed by the Hooker Chemical Company and retired from the Lewiston Porter Central School District in 1996, working 15 years in the guidance office. Dorothy was a longtime member of Riverside Presbyterian Church. She was an active volunteer for many years at Mount Saint Mary's Hospital and was the queen mother of the local Red Hatters Society. She was also very active organizing her high school reunions and other various social events. When she wasn't busy working or organizing social events, she enjoyed garage sales, playing cards, gathering with friends and visiting family. Touching many hearts, she was outgoing, always wearing smile and had a positive attitude which was very contagious.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Bauer; three children, Linda Kreps, Brian Jackson and Carol (Dave) Hall; four grandchildren which she had an active role in caring for; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ira M. Poole of Newfane, NY, husband of the late Eleanor Belschner Poole, entered into rest on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility. He was born in Wilson, NY on November 3, 1925, the son of the late Lawrence and Naomi Poole.
He owned and operated Poole Farm and Trucking in Newfane, NY for many years. His wife, Eleanor, died on January 4, 2013. Ira moved to Newfane in 1950 and enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing.
Father of Gerald (Bonnie) Poole of Newfane, NY, Ira Eugene (Marie) Poole of Newfane, NY and Barbara Herring of Wilson, NY. Brother of Beatrice (Hugh) Mackey of Arizona and James Poole of California. SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Jennifer Audentia Strassburg, 61, longtime resident of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away on July 4, 2014, being cared for by her three sisters in Puyallup, WA, having suffered many months with the effects of cancer. She was the daughter of Hope Forster Strassburg and the late Everen Strassburg. She was born in Niagara Falls on November 27, 1952.

Jennifer was a graduate (1970) of Niagara-Wheatfield HS, excelling in music, academics and sports. She worked for the Town of Niagara for many years supervising the park at Nevada Avenue School. Jennie was a fine trumpeter who was a member of the Niagara Falls Concert Band. Her undergraduate degree in education and music is from Brigham Young University (1974). She was a member of the BYU Marching Band which performed at the presidential inauguration of Richard Nixon. Her graduate degree in school curriculum and administration is from University of Phoenix.

Jennifer's career as an honored music teacher spanned almost three decades. She taught, coached and directed countless choirs and musicals at West Lake Jr. High School in Salt Lake City, UT. In 1988-89, she was named Granite District Education Foundation Teacher of the Year, and served as a Foundation Board Member until retirement. In 1995-96, she was awarded Teacher of the Year for the Granite District. She was her district's teachers union president for two years and a Teacher Mentor from 1996-2002.

After her retirement from teaching, Jennifer kept active with other employment managing a law firm, serving as interim chair for the "Belle S. Spafford Endowment" in Social Work at the University of Utah, working as the director of curriculum for 22 campuses at the Center for Excellence in Higher Education, and helping to develop an online business with her sister, Heather. Jennifer was an avid audiophile, loving recorded and live musical performances. During her life, she played tennis at a very high level helping to develop and administer Stanford University's youth program, "Tennis 'N Tutoring," in Salt Lake City. She held many stake and ward positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was especially involved as a music director, gospel doctrine teacher and a Relief Society leader. She was also an avid genealogist.

Jennifer is survived by her mother, Hope; and her five siblings with their spouses, Bruce and Denise (Lacey) Strassburg of Wilson, NY, Heather and H. Cal Squires of Sarasota, FL, Chris and Sheila (Smith) Strassburg of Lewiston, NY, Valorie and Kevin Marrott of St. Louis, MO, and Layne and Larry O'Bryant of Puyallup, WA. She has twenty-four nieces and nephews, and seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews, all who were the "lights of her life." The Jennifer A. Linda D. (Minna) Spaulding-Waterson, of Lockport, NY, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Buffalo General. Linda was born in Buffalo, NY on May 6, 1955, a daughter of the late James D. and Diane D. (Valley) Spaulding.
Linda is survived by her loving companion, Herb Mendez; daughter, Tonya (Willie) Fair; sons, Jason Laffosse, Nicholas Ribbeck; sister of Cindy Spaulding, Pam (Doug) Ribbeck; grandchildren, Kalen, Shai'Asia, Jaylynn, Kaya, Jared, Tanya, Alaya, Willie III, Shaniqua, Mike, Nick Jr., Jada and her great-grandchild, McKenna. She was the sister of the late Dodie Spaulding. Linda is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Linda loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed vacations to Florida and playing bingo with her niece, Jennifer Ribbeck.

LOCKPORT — Helene M. Duwe passed away July 13, 2011 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born March 8, 1918 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Joseph and Edith (Drier) Steblein. Helene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Trinity Lutheran Guild and Ladies Aide. She was also a member of the Barker Senior Citizens.

She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Duwe, on November 19, 1989. Helene is survived by her children, Daniel E. (Linda) Duwe of Barker and Linda Duwe-Bobzien of Lockport; grandmother of Kristine (Robert) Hamilton, Jeffrey (Teresa) Bobzien, Curtis Bobzien, Thomas (Carrie) Duwe, Taney Duwe and the late Kimberly Bobzien; great- grandmother of Seth, Kimberlee, Bret, Morgan, Taylor, Jordyn, Jacob and Samantha; sister of the late Dorothy (late Floyd) Heatherly, Ruth (late Robert) Woodcock, Margaret “Peggy” Smith and Joseph Steblein, Jr.; sister-in-law of William Smith of Florida, Carol Steblein and Hilda Dewey, both of Lockport; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

NIAGARA FALLS — Elizabeth "Betty" (Miller) LaFreniere, 65, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 31, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Cecelia (Godlewski) Miller and attended local schools. On November 13, 1968, she married Lawrence "Larry" LaFreniere. She was a member of Potters House, loved fishing, doing yard work, read her bible daily and loved taking care of her animals.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" LaFreniere of Niagara Falls, NY; son, Douglas (Lori) Miller; daughter, Tammy Lynn LaFreniere, both of Niagara Falls, NY; step-daughter, Judy (Vic) Muto of Lewiston, NY; grandchildren, Brandon and Douglas; her sister, Carol (Gary) Tickett and brother, Richard (Marie) Miller, both of Niagara Falls, NY; also several nieces and nephews.

NORTH TONAWANDA — Norma L. (nee Mielke) Stolzenburg, age 90, of North Tonawanda, NY, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Born in the Town of Cambria, NY to the late Elmer and Amanda (Gombert) Mielke, she was the wife of Franklin F. Jagow, who entered into rest in 1966; the wife of David Stolzenburg, who predeceased her in 1997; and was the sister of the late Donald Mielke, Marian Ellman and Phyllis Stoelting. Norma attended LaSalle Jr. and Sr. High Schools. She had been employed as an assembler at Radatron in North Tonawanda for over 20 years. Norma was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Wilson. Her joy was her family and their time together. She enjoyed collecting recipes and was well-known for her delicious pies and homemade baked goods.

She is survived by three sons, Rev. Wayne F. (Maureen) Jagow of the Town of Lockport, NY, Daniel J. (Maria) Jagow of Coppell, TX, and Robert G. (Laura) Jagow of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren, Rev. Andrew W. (Kathy) Jagow, Erin Jagow, Bethany Moulden, Sean (Jessie) Jagow, Amanda (Kevin) Nevels and Nikole Jagow; seven great-grandchildren, Christian DiRamio, Lily and Claire Jagow, Amira and twins, Cooper and Brady Jagow, and Claire Nevels; three step-grandchildren, Lisa, James (Alissa) and Jason Hodgson; four step-great-grandchildren, Alissa, Alexx and Sidney Boerhinger, and Kennedy Hodgson; a sister-in-law, Norma Lewis of Sanborn, NY; a brother-in-law, Marvin (late Phyllis) Stoelting of Pekin, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

CHEEKTOWAGA — Arline G. (nee Mayne) Whetham, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, Lewiston, NY and Grand Island, NY, passed from this life on Friday, July 12, 2013 in Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, NY, following a brief illness. Born on December 17, 1921 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Gertrude (Saunders) Mayne.

Mrs. Whetham attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1939. On June 30, 1943, Arline married William L. Whetham in Norfolk, VA. He predeceased her on October 28, 1999. She was employed by E.I. DuPont, as well as Dr. Perez, Sweeney & Green. Mrs. Whetham was a member of First Baptist Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

Mrs. Whetham is survived by one daughter, Cheryl A. (Amil) Slaiman of Grand Island, NY; one grandson, Justin W. Slaiman of Grand Island, NY, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Arline was predeceased by one brother, Frank Earl Mayne.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, July 15th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where a funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM. Thelma I. (McHenry) Rawleigh, 96, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Wednesday, July 10th at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Alfred Station, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Viva (Walldorff) McHenry.
Thelma graduated from Alfred High School in Alfred, NY and in 1936 she married Hugh Rawleigh in Dansville, NY. In 1941, she and her husband came to Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Rawleigh predeceased her on December 10, 1981. Thelma was employed as a clerk in the Central Service Department at N.F. Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls for twenty years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting and traveling. But most of all, Thelma loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Rawleigh is survived by three daughters, Phyllis (Arthur) Horton of Alfred, NY, Anita (late John) Skrzypek of Niagara Falls, NY, Marcia (Dale) Burley of Canisteo, NY and was predeceased by two children, Jack (late Minta) Rawleigh and Patricia Janese. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Michael (Judy) Janese, Kelly (Arthur) Roberts, Jack (Tina) Rawleigh, Sherri (Joe) Milone, Joseph (Roseanne) Rawleigh, Laurri Janese, Lisa (late Jim) (Mike Jones) Robins, Tammy (Richard) Lamarr, Stephanie Skrzypek and Tina Gonzalez; twenty-two great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandson, Dale E. Burley, Jr.; one great-grandson, Michael G. Maye, Jr.; two sisters, Marjorie (late Alvin) David and Pauline (late Basil) Perry.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 22nd from 5-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, concluding with a funeral service at 8 PM.
