The former Lizzie Pfohl was born in the Town of Lewiston on September 23, 1915, she was the daughter of John and Eleonore [ Fahrenwald ] Pfohl, and was a lifelong resident of Sanborn where she attended local schools. Mrs. Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the church choir for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid and other Circles within the church, visiting and sending cards to the sick and shut-ins, and making quilts for Lutheran World relief. She worked for J.J. Haseley & Sons, and accompanied her husband Marcus to the Niagara Falls Farmer's Market for over 40 years. She also had worked at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Rectory, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY for 19 years. Survivors include her husband of 70 years Marcus A., sons Rev. Ronald M. [ Joanne] of Greensburg, IN; Frederick W. [ Christy] of Roseville, CA; and Mark J. [ Marilyn ] of Ransomville, sister-in law, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. 9085 | Lloyd R. Cadwallader, 98, formally of the Town of Niagara, passed away on November 20, 2020 at Greenfield Health Center, Lancaster, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late George E. and Rose (Conrad) Cadwallader. Mr. Cadwallader was an extremely proud and dedicated veteran of the Army of the United States. He enlisted on November 6, 1942 where he served as an electrician. He departed for the European Theater on October 21, 1943 and served in Europe until he returned to the United States on October 23, 1945. While stationed in Europe, he participated in the Ardennes, Normandy, Central Europe, Northern France and Rhineland battles and campaigns. For his military service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. Upon returning home, he received his Honorable Discharge. Mr. Cadwallader was the loving husband of the late Pauline T. (Sostarich) Cadwallader whom he married on March 2, 1946 in her hometown of Chicago. They remained happily married for sixty-eight years until her death on September 9, 2014. Upon returning to Niagara Falls, Lloyd centered his life around his wife and children while working as an electrician for 35 years for the E.I. Dupont Company in Niagara Falls before retiring. While not working and raising his family, Lloyd enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lloyd is survived by his children Lloyd R. (Ruling) Cadwallader, Marie (late William) Eckert, Dennis P. (Haeng Cha) Cadwallader, Joseph (Cindy) Cadwallader, and James J. (Beverly Hess) Cadwallader. He also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Anne (late Clarence) Wright and was predeceased by 4 siblings. Private funeral services were held for the family. 9087 | LOCKPORT Robert Fink, of Lockport, died Sunday, Dec. 17 at Veterans Hospital in Buffalo. He was bom Nov. 24, 1917 in Wolcottsville, the son of the late John and Anna Eick Fink. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre from 1940-45. Mr. Fink worked at the J.C. Fink and Son Store in Wolcottsville which he later purchased and then sold in 1960. He then worked at Akron Oil Co. for several years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, life member of the Akron VFW Post #3180, member of Akron American Legion Post #0900 and a life mem-ber of the DAV of Akron. He was also an exempt fireman in Wolcottsville Fire Co. and had play-ed in the Wolcottsville band for many years. Mr. Fink was formerly on the Democratic Committee and was Democratic custodian in the Town of Royal ton. He is survived by his wife, Mar-garet; daughters, Carol Stevens, of Lockport, and Donna Bruning, of Gasport; five grandchildren, Kristin Jamieson, of Newfane, Brian Hubert, of Lockport, and Eric Bruning, of Gasport, Aaron Bruning, of Gasport, and Heather Hubert, of Lockport; one great-granddaughter, Chelsey Jamieson, of Newfane; brother-in-law, Francis (Joanne) Schilling, of Buffalo; one nephew, Ronald (Gerri) Lindke, of Wolcottsville; several grand-nieces, -nephews and cousins. She was born Monday, July 17, 1950 in Indiana, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Ronald J. Gibson Sr. and Rebecca Jean Moore Gibson. Family was the important thing in her life especially having her grandchildren by her side. The matriarch of her family and "leader" of her siblings, she will be remembered as kind and selfless. She loved giraffes and traveled to the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville. She enjoyed trips to the casino, crocheting doilies and bathrobes for her grandchildren. Prior to working at Lockport Memorial Hospital, she worked for many years at P.W. Minor in Batavia. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Niagara Hospice especially Melissa, Cheryl and Judy for their kindness and compassionate care they provided. Jo was born November 18, 1928 in the Town of Cambria, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Ella (Kneeppel) Hillman. She was a graduate of Lockport High School and the Millard Fillmore School of Nursing. Jo married Carl "Kelly" F. Ganshaw on July 7, 1952 in Tracey, MN. She was a Registered Nurse, employed by Inter-Community Memorial Hospital in Newfane, from which she retired in 1974. Jo had also worked as an RN at Lockport Memorial Hospital, the former Ransomville General Hospital, and as a Niagara County Public Health Nurse. She was a former member of the Cambria Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary where she booked events, weddings, etc. She was a member of the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, and a member of the Millard Fillmore School of Nursing Alumni Association. Jo accompanied her Husband to the Clinton Bailey Market in Buffalo where they sold their vegetables from their family farm. During the 70's and 80's, Jo made and sold pies, chili sauce and other baked goods as well. She was very proud of the fact that she quit smoking after 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Carl; her children, Eric M. Ganshaw of the Town of Cambria, Grant C. (Deborah) Ganshaw of Tracey, CA, and Gail (Mark) Mittelstaedt, also of the Town of Cambria; her beloved grandchildren, Kevin (Jennifer), Alan, and John Cobb, Dean, Nicholas, and Steven Ganshaw, and Tristen (Randy) Seal; her great-granddaughters, Alexis Seal and Krista Cobb; two sisters, Marian Warlinski of Lockport, and Florence Will of Chelmsford, MA; and many nieces and nephews. 9098 | Lockport NY Daily Journal - 11/13/1883 One of the occasions to be long remembered took place on the 8th of November at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. F. Bobzien, ou the east road, town of Wilton. About half-past 1 P. M. numerous carriages arrived, and at 2 o'clock the house Was tilled with friends and relatives of the groom and bride to witness the marriage of Mr. Lanson Biglow to Miss Emma Bobzien. At 2 o'clock the sound of appropriate music from the organ brought all to order. The groom and bride being lu-althy and strong, marched without assistance to an evergreen arch- where a white rose horseshoe hung over their heads. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr, Bickly, of Wilson village, after which the relatives and friends offered them hearty congratulations. All then resorted tothedining-room. when the tables, laden with abundance of rich goodies, loaned under overhanging evergreens made it seem as though no frost" had been, save that which sparkled over the rich cakes. After partaking to our full capacity, each family representative was provided with a package, containing all kinds of cake, to carry home for another feast. The happy pair took an early start to visit distant "friends, aud the company returned home, feeling that another happy home had beeu begun. The preseuts were rich, beautiful aud useful. Clark, an elegant ebony trained mirror; Miss Ruby Gaylord and Miss Hattie Maynard, a pair of china vases; Miss Mary Uayiord, a tidy; Mrs. E. Nicholls, a pair of pickle casters; Mr. aud Mrs J. G. The marriage of Miss Hannah Werth of Bergholtz to Mr. Frank Berg, a successful young carpenter and builder of this city, takes place at the German Evangelical Lutheran Trinity church, corner Saxton and Lagrange streets, the Rev. A. H. Michael, pastor, officiating,, this afternoon at 5 o'clock. 9100 | Lockport NY Daily Journal - 12/14/1897 A very pleasant weddiig occured at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Brick of Cambria, N. Y , on Thursday, Dec. 9, 1897. Their daughter, Miss Jennie S., was united in marriage to Mr. Emmett Clancy of Niagara Falls, N Y., at 2 p. m, The groom accompanied by the (filiating clergyman. Rev. J. B Dare of North Ridge, N. Y.t advanced to the bridal arch of evergreen, followed by the bride leaning on the arm of her father, while a wedding march was finely rendered by a sister of the bride After the address by the minister the friends assembled, the father of the bride gave his daughter away by joining the bride's right hand to that of the groom. Very cordial congratulations were tendered tbem from relatives and near friends. After which a delicious supper was served. The bride carried a handsome Jbunch of white ehrlsan them urns and both bride and groom were becoming y and charmingly attired. Many and rich presents were received. The newly married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Clancy, took the evening train from Lockport on their wedding trip.
