9451 | Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 11/19/1964 A church guild president, Mrs. Colleen Nichols Bossart, 37, of 4329 Sunset Drive, died Wednesday (Nov. 18, 1964) in Lockport Memorial Hospital, after a short Illness. She was the wife of Earl L. Bossart. Mrs. Bossart was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, sang in the choir, and was currently president of the Mary Hunt Guild of the cTiurch. She also was a member of Angelus Chapter 559, Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Bossart was born June 4, 1927 in Niagara Falls, the daughter of Colin and Ethel Steivenson Nichols. She was a graduate of Wilson High School and Syracuse University with a major in home economics. Upon graduation, she worked as a buyer for a Syracuse department store and later worked in the office of the Great Lakes Carbon Co., Niagara Falls. She •was employed as an accountant by Holman O'Connor until about six yeans ago, and had lived in Lockport for the past seven years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Mark C, and Paul C; her mother, Mrs. Ethel Nichols; three brothers, Arthur Nichols of Salem, N. J., Andrew J. Nichols of Falls Church, Va., and Cameron E. Nichols of Lewiston; also several nieces and nephews. Beyer, Million Dollar Highway, Lockport, Saturday, Nov. 9, at 3 o'clock in First Baptist Church, Trenton, the Rev. Lewis officiating at a double-ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Claude Grady, wore a slipper satin gown with sweetheart neckline, lace trimmed pephun and long train. Her fingertip veil of marquisette fell from a tiara of seed pearls and she carried a Colonial bouquet of white carnations cantered with an orchid. Miss Madeleine Myers of Morrisville, Pa., who served as maid of honor wore an aqua taffeta gown with sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice. Her matching half hat was of sweetheart design and she carried a Colonial bouquet of Autumn colored chrysanthemums. Miss Eva Boners of Trenton, bridesmaid, wore a peach .taffeta gown and hat and carried a bouquet similar to that of the maid of honor. June Copeland, flower girl, wore an orchid taffeta fulllength dress trimmed with sequins and an old-fashioned hat of matching color and material. She earned a basket of assorted flowers. Joseph E. Grady, brother of the bride, was best man and Edward Wysockl of Trenton was usher. Mrs Grady was attired in a gown of black velvet with black accessories and Mrs. Beyer wore a black gown trimmed in blue, with black accessories. Both wore gardenia corsages. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the social hall of the Colonial Fire House. The bride's traveling suit was of pearl gray with navy accessories and she wore an orchid corsage. After a wedding trip to New York, Pfc. and Mrs. Beyer will reside in Trenton. At present, Pfc. Beyer is in the U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Dix. He was born Jan. 8, 1907 in Brooklyn, the son of Louis and Lulu White Belfield. He had liv- ed at the present address for the past 12 years. For the past 10 years, Mr. Belfield had been employed as a bridge operator by the New York State Department of Pub- lic Works, Canal Division. He was assigned to the Middleport lift bridge. Before that, he worked for 30 years at Simonds Saw & Steel Co., as foreman on the electric furnace. He was an exampt fireman of the Terry's Corners Fire Co., and a member of the New York State Employees Council 50, AFL-CIO. He served in the U. S. Army in the Philippines in 1925. Mr. Belfield has been mar- ried for 39 years to the former Gertrude Hogenmiller, who sur- vives. 9481 | Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 11/23/1963 It was just 50 years ago today, Nov. 23, 1913, when Miss Delia Corriere exchanged nuptial vows with Anthony Bucolo. It was a typically beautiful Fall day when the couple were married at St. Joseph's Church, Lockport, by Father Lava. At 10 this morning, 50 years alter, the couple once again entered St. Joseph's Church where they renewed the vows made so many years ago. Both natives of Italy, Mrs. Bucolo came to this country when she was but 9 years of age. Mr. Bucolo arrived here when he was 18. The couple met in Lockport and after a courtship of nearly three years, they married. FARMING Having been a son of farming people, Mr. Bucolo naturally returned to the soil for his living. Having farmed at 6597 Slayton-Settlement Road for the past 43 years, he is still active in his chosen life's work. The couple belongs to the St. Joseph's Church where Mrs. Bucolo* is a member of the Immaculate Conception Society. They have three daughters and five sons, Mrs. La Verne (Frances) Nagel; Mrs. Louis (Rose) Torriere and Mrs. Melvin (Micki) Beecher, all of Lockport; Anthony, Jerome and Joseph, also of Lockport; and James and Michael of Gasport. They also have 21 grandchildren and a great-grandson, Anthony Parete Jr. of Lockport. CELEBRATION For her open house and reception from 6 until 9 this evening, at the Wright's Corners Fire Hall, Mrs. Bucolo will wear a dusty rose lame sheath accented with a white orchid. Bullock, 75, of 100 Massachusetts Ave., died Sunday (Nov. 22, 1964) at Lock- port Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for six weeks. The son of Edwin and Mary Rowell Bullock, he was born Jan. 11, 1889 in the Town of Royalton and had lived in Lock- port for the past 60 years. He was a member of Lock- port Lodge 73, F&AM; the First Presbyterian Church and Lock- port Post 2535, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in World War 1 in the 303rd Engi- neers, 78th Division, U. S. Army, and went to France in June 1918 with the American Expeditionary Force. He retired in 1959 after 30 years with the Niagara County Fruit Co., where he was fore- man. His wife, the former Clara Smith, died in March 1962. Survivors are a son, F. Gor- don Bullock and a brother, George Bullock, both of Lock- port. England, on Jan. 28, 1888, he was the son of George and Harriet Carver Goldsmith. He came to the United States in 1910 and settled to the Town of Yates. He owned ed and operated his farm for several years and later was employed by the Highway Department of the Town of Yates. He retired about six years ago. He was married to the former Nellie Grimes of Albion to March 1923. Yunk performed the ceremony before the altar graced with vases of white Chrysanthemums. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bisher Jr. of Newfane are the parents of the bride, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Irving Yousett of Sanborn and the late Mr. Yousett. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her bridal gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves ending in points at the wrists. The floor-length bouffant skirt had a nylon tulle overskirt with a lace insert over tiers of tulle. A doronet of sequins and pearls held her fingertip veil of silk illusion, and she carries a colonial bouquet of white roses surrounded by carnations. BRIDE'S ATTENDANTS As her maid of honor, the bride chose Miss Mary Katherine Jeffords. A sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves detailed the, bodice of her coral organza gown and the ballerina - length skirt was enhanced with a ruffle of sheer nylon. A picture hat in matching color completed her attire and she carried a colonial bouquet of coral roses and carnations. Miss Gracia Yousett of Sanborn , sister of the groom, and Mrs. Joyce Yousett, the groom's sister-in-law, wore gowns like that of the matron of honor in cotillion blue. They wore clip headpieces of horsehair and pearls with short veils, and carried bouquets identical to that of the maid of honor. Marilyn Bisher, sister of the bride, was flower girl. Her blue dress and flowers were like that of the maid of honor. The bride's brother, Keith Daniel Bisher was ring bearer. Russell Whitehead was best man. Leonard Yousett, brother of the groom, Robert Snyder of Newfane and LeRoy Bisher of Newfane, brother of the bride, seated the guests. Mrs. Norbert Fritton played the wedding music. GRANDMOTHER ATTENDS A powder blue silk dress over taffeta with matching accessories were the choice of the bride's mother. The groom's mother wore a turquoise brocaded taffeta dress with bolero jacket and black accessories. Sweetheart rose corsages completed their attire. Mrs. Theodore Thrall, grandmother of the bride, favored a dark blue dress, blue accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. A buffet luncheon was served to 250 guests at the home of the bride where the table was centered with a wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom. When the newlyweds return from a trip through New York State, they will make their home in Shadigee Road, Newfane.
