Mrs. Carmela Granieri. 807 Sixteenth
street, announces the engagement
of her daughter, Ida, to George
A Tirabassi, H. N.. Great Lakes
Naval hospital, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Santo Tirabassi, 2451 LaSalle avenue,
Miss Granieri is a graduate of Ni-
afeara Falls high school and at pres-
ent is employed at the J. C. Penney
Company,- Inc.
Mr. Tirabassi also is a graduate
of Niagara Falls high school and is
now serving in the US Navy. He
will continue his training for eight
weeks at Camp Pembleton, Ocean-
side, Calif.

The choir of St. Joseph's church,
with Mrs. Florence Demorest as
. accompanist, provided the musical
background at, the wedding this
morning of Miss Ida Ann Granieri,
daughter of Mrs. Carmcla Granieri,
Sixteenth street, and Mr. George A.
Tirabassi, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Santo Tirabassi, LaSalle avenue.
"Ave Maria" was sung by Mrs.
Gtaria, Tonetti, while Mr. James
Fabiano sang the "Panis Angelicus."
White gladioli and lilies decorated
the altar and sanctuary of St,
Joseph's for the 8:30 o'clock ceremony
which was followed by a
Solemn High Nuptial Mass.
Given in marriage by her brother,
Mr. Joseph Granieri, the bride
was attended by her cousin, Miss
Martha A. Granieri, as maid of
honor, and Miss Lucy Mastromatteo
as bridesmaid.
Mr. Stephen H. Jarlenski served
as best man. The usher was Mr.
Samuel T. Granieri, cousin of the
bride.
A silk veil of illusion, which
cascaded from a queen's crown of
lace-trimmed with sequins, enhanced
the nylon tulle and lace wedding
gown of the bride. The lace
bodice was styled with a V neckline
and long sleeves and rose above
a nylon tulle skirt, banded with
rosepoint lace, and extending into a
cathedral-length train. Her white
ros«s-- and stephanoti cascade bouquet
was centered with a white orchid.
Similar strapless net gowns with
stoles and matching ponpom headpieces
were worn by the bridal 'attendants.
Miss Granieri, in yellow,
carried a cascade bouquet of pink
roses and blue flowers, while the
bridesmaid in blue, carried a cascade
bouquet of yellow roses and
blue flowers.
White accessories were chosen
by the mother of the bride to accent
her navy blue shantung dress. The
mother of the bridegroom selected a
navy blue net dress with pink accessories.
For traveling to the Hidden Valley
ranch in the Adirondack mountains,
where the couple will honeymoon,
the bride chose a two-piece
blue silk dress with "white accessories
and an orchid corsage. Upon
returning, Mr. and Mrs. Tirabassi
will make their home at 807 Sixteenth
street.
