Thiele - Hartman
A pretty November wedding was
solemnized Saturday. November 9,
at 4 o'clock, In the Zion Evangelical
Lutheran church, Michigan avenue
and Tenth street, when Miss
Eileen H. Hartman. daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hartman, of
460 Twenty-sixth street, became the
bride of Henry C. Thiele. son of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thiele. Sr„ of
Shawnee road. North Tonawanda.
the Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer performing
the ceremony. The church
was beautifully decorated with
palms and tall tapered baskets ot
yellow mums and pom-poms. The
pews for the guests' were Attractively
marked with white crepe
paper bows.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a white satin
gown, with a long train. She wore
a beaded halo with a three-quarter
length veil and a long white lace
veil She wore white satin slip-
pers and carried a bouquet with a
detachable corsage of white roses
and showered with lilies-of-thevalley.
Miss Jeanette Thiele, sister of the
groom, maid of honor, wore a deep
rose satin gown with accessories to
match and wore a hat covered with
deep rose-colored plumes. Her bouquet
was of pink mums and pompoms.
Miss Hildegard Snyder, of Reno,
Pa., cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid,
being attired in a deep aqua
satin gown with matching accessories
and wore a small hat covered
with aqua-colored plumes. Her
bouquet was of yellow mums and
pompoms.
Douglas Hartman. cousin of the
bride, was best man, with Harold
Mittelstaedt and Raymond Hartman
as attendants. Eugene Thiele
I sang two solos, "O. Promise Me,'
with Christian words and "Entreat
Me Not To Leave Thee." Ada Evald
accompanied Mr. Thiele at the organ
and Mrs. Steigerwalt played
the processional.
Mrs. Hartman. the bride's mother,
wore a Burgundy velvet gown
with black accessories and Mrs.
Thiele, the groom's mother, wore a
plum-colored velvet gown with
black accessories. Each wore a
shoulder corsage of yellow roses a nd
sweet peas.
A wedding supper followed the
ceremony at the groom's home,
with a hundred guests present. The
rooms were nicely decorated with a
white color scheme and baskets of
yellow mums and chrysanthemums.
The bride's table, with covers laid
for 17, was decorated with baskets
of chrysanthemums and centered
with a tiered wedding cake, adorned
with a miniature bride and
groom and an arch with a bell
suspended. Later a reception was
held, with 150 guests present.
Mr. and Mrs. Thiele have left for
a two weeks wedding trip through
the Southern states and will be at
home when they return at Shawnee
road.
Among the out - of - town guests
were Mrs. Frank Ford and Miss Ellen
Ford, both of Trono. California:
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Snyder and
Earl Snyder, of Reno. Pa., and
guests from Lockport. N. Y.
Pre-nuptial showers were given
by Miss Barbara Lanigan. of this
city, glass: Miss Jeanette Thiele.
personal; Miss Margaret Boeskin. of
this city, variety; Miss Evelyn
Oandt. of this city, linen, and Mrs.
Earl Johnson, of North Tonawanda,
variety.
