SANBORN. May 14.-A lovely
spring wedding will take place this
afternoon at 5 o'clock in St. Peter's
Lutheran church in Walmore road,
when Miss Martha Williams, young-
est daughter of Edward H. Williams,
of Lockport road and Alfred A. De
Vantier, son of Albert F. DeVantier,
of Niagara Falls boulevard, will be
united in marriage by the Rev. Ed-
ward Grabau. The church will be
decorated with white narcissis and
snapdragons. The bride will enter
the church on the arm of her father,
to the strains of Lohengrin's wed-
ding march, played by her cousin,
Mrs. Paul Viegt.
The bride will be gowned in white
bridal satin trimmed with chantilly
lace at the shoulder and top of the
sleeves, the sleeves coming to a point
at the wrists. The long train is also
trimmed with insertions of lace and
her veil of illusion will fall from a
headdress of orange blossoms, which
were worn by the bride's mother at
her wedding. She will carry a bou-
quet of calla lilies, tied with a white
satin ribbon.
Miss Esther Williams will be her
sister's maid of honor and will be
gowned in peach taffeta with a net
skirt. She will wear a taffeta rosette
cap from which will hang a scallloped
circular face veil. She will carry
bronze snapdragons.
The two bridesmands, Miss Mar-
ion Pearce and Miss Mildred DeVan-
tier, will be dressed alike in aqua
taffeta made like that of the maid
of honor. They will carry yellow
snapdragons.
Miss Lorraine Buerger and Miss
Jeannette Beutel. nieces of the bride,
will act as Junior bridesmaids and
will be dressed alike in floor-length
peach net, with a blue sash. They
will carry bronze snapdragons.
John Voelker, nephew of the
groom will attend the groom as best
man and the ushers will be Melvin
Williams and John DeVantier.
Immediately following the ceremony
a dinner for members of the
Immediate families will be served at
the home of the groom. Mr. and
Mrs. De Vantler will leave on a trip
to the Thousand Islands and on
their return will make their home
in Franklin street, Sanborn.
Several parties have been given ln
honor- of the bride. Miss Dorothy
Warner. Miss Dorothy Hoover and
Mrs. Watson Eggleston, Jr., entertained
at a variety shower. A kitchen
shower was given by Mrs. Edwin
Beutel and Mrs. William Buerger.
Mrs. John Voelker entertained
at a shower at which the bride
was presented with an aluminum
set. Mrs. Arthur Williams and Mrs.
Melvin Williams gave a bathroom
shower. Mrs. Walter Williams entertained
at a supper party and a
person shower and Mrs. Siglmund
Pfohl gave a variety shower.
