A pretty June wedding was solemnized
Saturday, June 20 at 4.30
o'clock in St. Matthews Evangelical
church, Wheatfield street, when
Miss Alice Loretta Behm daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Behm of
50 Sixteenth avenue became the
bride of Christ Hoffmeister, Jr., ,of
Monroe street, the Rev. Carl
Frankenstein performing the caremony.
The church was beautifully
decorated with palms and baskets
of cut flowers. A large arch covered
with white carnations and
ferns was suspended immediately
in front of the altar.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father wore a gownof white
satin trimmed with a chantilly lace
yoke adorned with satin rose
petals and small pearl beads, and
having a long train. Her veil was
of silk net with chantilly lace
arranged in cap shape. she wore
white satin slippers and carried a
shower bouquet of white roses and
gypsophila. Mrs. Walter Stenzel,
sister of the bride, acted as matron
of honor, her gown being of yellow
mousseline de sole with matching
accessories and she carried a bou-
quet of yellow roses.
Miss Ruth Feb, maid of honor
wore pink mousseline de soie,
matching accessories and carried a
bouquet of pink roses. Miss Nora
Behm, was bridesmaid, wearing
apple green mosseline de sole, with
green accessories and carried bou-
quet of yellow roses. All wore lily
of the valley head bands in their
hair. Little Marilyn Hoffmeister
was flower girl, wearing blue or-
gandie and she carried a basket of
mixed flowers.
John Hoffmeister was his brother's
best man, and the ushers were
Bernhardt Hoffmeister and Herbert
Behm. Miss Ruth Fischle
played the organ and Mrs. Elsa
Fischle sand "O Promise Me".
mrs. Behm, the bride's mother
wore a blue crepe dress with lace
cape and Mrs. Hoffmeister, the
groom's mother, a blue flowered
crepe. Both wore corsages of pink
roses and sweet peas.
A wedding supper in the church
basement followed the ceremony
with seventy guests present. The
tables were decorated with roses
and yellow and white tapers. The
bride's table with covers laid
for eight, was centered with a
tiered wedding cake adorned with
a miniature bride and groom.
Later, a reception was held at
the bride's home, which was deco-
rated in a yellow and white color
scheme, with large baskets of cut
flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Hoffmeister
have left for a short wedding trip.
The out of town guests include
Miss Minnie Hoffmeister, Mr. and
Mrs. John Klumpp of Buffalo,
Miss June Baehr of Medina, 7d-
ward Bartz, Raymond Bartz and
Ruth Bartz of Newfane, Virginia
Werth, Elton Behm of Lockport,
Libby Caprio and Edith Brierly
of Niagara Falls.
