Mr. and Mrs. Philip Werth of
Lockport Road, Cambria,
observed their 50th wedding
anniversary at a reception in
St. Matthew Lutheran Church,
North Tonawanda.
The couple was married on
New Year's Day, 1925, by the
late Rev. Herman Meier in
Trinity Lutheran Church,
Lockport.
They are parents of three
children: Claude Werth, Leo
Werth and Mrs. Donald
Daigler, all of Lockport Road,
Cambria. They also have four
grandchildren.
Guests included the
attendents at their wedding,
Mrs. Reuben Human of
Sanborn and Edward Witkop of
North Tonawanda. Also
included in the 60 guests were
Mrs. Werth's four sisters: Mrs.
Glen Hall of North Tonawanda,
Mrs. Agnes Breitenbach of
Sanborn and Mrs. Eleanor
Kiekbush and Mrs. Paul
Lambert of Lockport. Mrs.
Beatrice Freck of Florida,
another sister of Mrs. Werth,
was unable to attend. Mr.
Werth's brother, Paul Werth of
Florida, also was unable to
attend.
Mrs. Werth has lived on the
farm all her life and her
husband has lived there for 54
years.
