 Winter Wedding
 Held at Lockport
 SANBORN, Jan 16-A lovely wed-
 ding was solemnized at 3:30 p.m. on
 January 11 at St. Peter's Evangelical
 Lutheran church, Lockport, when
 Miss Alma Strasburg, daughter of
 Mr. and Mrs. John A Strasburg of
 Ward road, Sanborn, became the
 bride of Mr. Elmore K. Herbst, son
 of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herbst, of
 Route No. 1, Lockport.  The Rev.
 Herbert L. Segnier officiated at the
 double ring cememony.
 The bride was lovely in traditional
 white satin gown with a short train
 It had a sweetheart neckline and
 sleeves coming to a point at the
 wrist.  Her finger-tip veil with lace
 edging fell from a headdress of or-
 ange blossoms.  The only jewelry
 worn by the bride was a locket,
 present of the groom.  Her bridal
 bouquet was of large white gladioli,
 with an archid center, tied with
 white satin ribbons.
 The matron of honor, Mrs. Elena,
 sister of the bride, wore a beautiful
 blue gown with a brocaded satin
 bodice and a net skirt over satin.
 She carried a cascade of pink car-
 nations, tied with matching satin
 ribbons.
 The bridesmaids, Mrs. Lucille Gas-
 kill, sister of the groom, and Mrs.
 Ida Schworm, sister of the bride,
 were attired in pink gowns fashioned
 the same as that of the matron of
 honor.  They carried cascades of
 blue carnations tied with blue satin
 ribbons.
 The bridegroom had as his best
 man Mr. Burnet Strasburg. brother
 of the bride. He was also attended
 by Mr. Ward Gasklll, brother-in-law
 of the groom, and Mr; Lewis H.
 Schworm. brother-in-law ot the
 bride. They acted as ushers.
 The mother of the bride wore a
 black crepe dress with a corsage of
 red roses.  The mother of the groom
 wore a becoming light gray suit with
 a corsage of red roses and white
 carnations, and black accessories.
 Mr. Ronald Gotts sand "Oh Prom-
 ise Me" and "I Love You Truly" be-
 fore the wedding ceremony.
 After the wedding, dinner was
 served to the bridal party and im-
 mediate families at the home of the
 bride's parents.  The reception was
 held at the American Legion hall
 in Sanborn at 8 p.m.  The bride and
 bridegroom are on their honeymoon
 in the south.
 Pre-nuptials were given by Mrs.
 Hilda Hermanson, Mrs. Elena Read,
 Mrs. Ida Schworm, Mrs. Lucille
 Gaskilll, Mrs. Ida Herbst, Mrs. Ivan
 Dickson, Mrs. Norman LeVan and
 Mrs. Maurice LeVan.
 Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs.
 Elmore Herbst will make their home
 at Molyneaux Corners, Route 1,
 Lockport.
