The marriage of Miss Evelyn
Wendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Wendt of Ohio avenue to
Mr. Harold Boehnke, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Boehnke, of
East Thompson street, was solemnized
at 6 o'clock Saturday evening,
May 4th. The double ring
ceremony took place at St. Paul's
Lutheran church before a candle
lit altar. The Rev. Frederick A.
Hinners officiating.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a Grecian styled
gown of white brocaded satin.
Her fingertip veil of illusion was
topped with a cluster of orange
blossoms, and she carried a shower
bouquet of white roses, sweet
peas and baby bream.
The maid of honor, Miss Geraldine
Proefrock, and the brides,
maids. Miss Corrine Fehrman and
Miss Eleanor Exner. were gowned
alike in aquamarine dotted
damask. Their bracelet - length
sleeved gowns had sweetheart
necklines, light bodices and ruffled
skirts. They wore matching
headdresses and carried bouquets
of red carnations.
Warren Reich was best man and
the ushers were Martin Wendt
and Gene Smith.
Robert Krull sang "The Lord's
Prayer" oreceding the ceremony
and "O Promise Me" during the
ceremony accompanied by Mi
Arnold Nuoffer at the organ.
Mrs. Wendt, mother of th
bride, chose a black and white all
Jersey dress with black accessor-
ies. Mrs. Boehnke, mother of the
groom, wore a navy blue print
crepe dress with matching acces
sories. Both wore corsages of
mixed flowers.
Following the wedding cere
mony, a reception for family and
friends was held at the Johns
burgh hall. After the reception
the couple left on a wedding trip
to the Adirondacks and Canadian
For traveling the bride selected
a light blue suit with brown ac
cessories. After May 19th, they
will live at 379 Niagara street.
The pre-nuptials parties''give

and Miss Eleanor Exner, a var
