Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Shields, of
Sixty-eighth street, announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Kathryn L„ to F. Hugh Shipston.
son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shipston,
of Spruce avenue. The wedding
will take place in April.

Shlpston-Shlelds
A very pretty wedding was solemnized
Friday evening when Miss
Katherine Shields, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs: J. E. Shields, of Sixtyeighth
street, was married to Hugh
8hipston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Shipston, of Spruce avenue. The
Rev. S. W. Michell, uncle of the
bride, officiated at the ceremony,
which was at the home of trie
bride's parents.
The bride wore a coral floorlength
gown and her flowers consisted
of a corsage of gardenias and
HUes-of-the-valley.
Miss Marion Clifton, her attendant,
chose a frock of beige and her
corsage was of gardenias.
The bride's mother wore a gown
of navy blue, with a corsage of gardenias
as did the mother of the
groom.
After a short motor trip, Mr. and
Mrs. Shipston will make their home
in Eighty-fifth street.
Entertaining for the bride were
Miss Marion Clifton and Mlss»Henrletta
Macey, at a personal and
kitchen shower, and Mrs. Ben Light,
with a crystal shower.
