Miss Marian Johnson, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson,
of Sanborn, N. Y., whose
engagement to Mr. Donald E.
Beecher, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Clair Beecher of Sanborn, has
been announced. The wedding
will be solemnized on November 9.

SANBORN -The Sanborn Methodist
church was the scene of a
lovely fall wedding on Saturday,
November 9. at 4 p. m. when
Marian Irene Johnson/ e l d e st
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William
Johnson, of Peal street, was united
In marriage to Donald E. Beecher,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Claire Beecher,
of Maple street. The Rev. P. L.
Harbura officiated assisted by the
Rev. Frank N. Taft.
The altar was effeclvery decorated
with large baskets of white and
yelow chrysanthemums, ferns and
cathedral candles. Miss Eva Balcom
played the wedding music and, preceedlng
the ceremony, Miss Laura
Perchen sang, "Because,- and "O
Promise Me."
The bride, who entered the
church on the arm of her father,
was beautifully gowned in white
satin made on princess lines with
swetheart neckline. Her finger-tip
veil of illusion was held in place
by a coronet of pearsl. She carried
a waterfall bouquet of Klllarney
tea roses. The maid of honor Miss
Helen Johnson sister of the bride
was dressed In pale blue taffeta and
carried pink premiere tea roses.
Miss Dorothy Johnson, sister of
the bride, was bridesmaind and
wore pale pink taffeta and carried
pink premiere tea roses. Daniel
Beecher twin, brother of the groom,
was the best man and Ross Johnson,
brother of the bride, and Mark
Beecher, brother of the groom, were
the ushers.
Mrs. William Johnson, mother of
the bride, and Mrs. Claire Beecher,
mother of the groom, were both
dressed in wine crepe with matching
accessories and wore corsages
of Talisman roses.
A reception was held in the
church dining room immediately
following the Ceremony. Quests
were present from Caistor Center
and Hamilton, Ont„ Buffalo, Niagara
Palls and Sanborn.
Mr. and Mrs. Beecher left on a
wedding trip to New York City and
Washington, D. O. The bride's going-
away outfit was a brown and
beige dress with a wine coat and
accessories. On their return the
couple will reside in Sanborn.

kitchen shower, sponsored by the
Birthday club, given by Mrs. Lyle
Borver, Mrs.. Robert Ooir, Mrs.

at the home of the formers; linen
and cotton shower, by Mrs. John
Pearson and Miss Pearsaon, grandmother
and aunt of the bride in
Hamilton, Ont.
A one-gift shower, by the S.W.T.
Sunday school class at the home
of Miss Norine Treichler; bathroom
shower by Mrs. Pearl Middlestadt;
variety shoer, by Sanborn Rebekah
Lodge, No. 668; one gift shower, by
the Queen Esther Circle at the
home of Mrs. Roy Wethy; one-gift
shower by Mr. and Mrs. Robert

of the Methodist Sunday
