Mrs. Harry Schlyer Announces the
engagement of her sister Miss Lilly
Scheffler of Sanborn. formerly of
Wilson, to Alfred Wendt. of Sanborn.

SANBORN, June 18.-The marriage
of Alfred A. Wendt, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward A. Wendt, of Town Line
road, and Lily May Scheffler of Wilson,
was solemnized on June 12 at
3:30 p. m. at the parsonage of St.
Peter's Lutheran church at North
Ridge. N. Y. The Rev. C. Oldach officiated.
The bride wore a beautiful dress of
white taffeta and lace. Miss Mabel
Scheffler, of Lockport, sister of the
bride, was bridesmaid, and Miss Madeline
Horacek, of Rochester, N. Y.,
was maid of honor. Both were gowned
in rose colored chiffon.
The groom's attendants were his
brother. Norman Wendt. of Town
Line road, and Charles Van Evera, of
Lockport.
A reception, attended by 75 guests,
was held at 6 o'clock at Pekin Fire
hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Wendt have returned
from a short trip and are at home in
Towo Line road.
