Miss Ruth Elizabeth Woodcock was married to Kenneth R. Wendt in a candlelight ceremony at 7 o'clock, March 1, 1958.
The Rev. Frank Brocker united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Woodcock, 15th St., with the son of the late Herbert C. Wendt, in a double ring ceremony at the Christian Missionary Alliance.
Her father escorted the bride to the altar, which was
banked with chrysanthemums, snapdragons and carnations.
She selected a floor length gown of imported French lace, worn over ruffled nylon tulle. The sabrina neckline was trimmed with sequins and seed pearls. Her matching headpiece held a double veil of pure silk illusion. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids and lilies of the valley.
Mrs. Marjorie Dempster was matron of honor. She wore a ballerina length frock of pink chiffon, with a shirred bodice, trimmed with satin. Her picture hat and mitts were in matching pink. Her flowers were a cascade ar-rangement of pink baby orchids and lilies of the valley.
Wilbert Maule was the best man.
Mrs. Evelyn Timblin played the traditional wedding
music and Mr. and Mrs. Marin Jansen were the soloists.
The bride's mother wore a two-tone blue chifton dress with a corsage of red roses for the dinner for the bridal party immediately following the ceremony.
The bride selected a beige suit with a mink collar and dark accessories to wear when she left on her honeymoon
to Miami, Florida.
