NEWFANE -Miss Thelma Ira
Winkley. of Maple avenue and Edward
Winters, son of Mr. and Mrs
Frank Winters, of Niagara street
Lockport. were united in marriage
Saturday at 2:30 o'clock in the local
Methodist church by the Rev. James
S. Wilson, pastor. The ring cere-
mony was used. The attendants
were the groom's sister, Mrs. Julius
Class, of Lockport, and the bride's
cousin, Robert Winkley, of Newfane.
The bride wore a robin's blue
silk crepe dress with taffy hat and
brown accessories, while the maid
wore rose silk crepe, blue hat and
black accessories. A reception to the
immediate families was held at the
home of the bride's parents.
Pre-nuptial events include a red
and white kitchen shower by Miss
Dorothy Wilkins of Beebe road, a
variety shower by Mrs. Florence
Ozard of West avenue, a bathroom
shower by Miss Marriotte Stedman,
of Euclid avenue and a variety
shower by Mrs. Roger Schweigert,
of Dutton place.
