of her daughter, Lillian G.,

to Martin E. Witkop, son of Mr.
Albert Witkop of 73 East Felton
street The wedding will take

The marriage of Miss Lillian
G. Browning, daughter of Mrs.
Irene Browning of 221 Masten
street, Buffalo, to Martin E. Witkop,
son of Albert H. Witkop of
72 East Felton street was solemnized
on Wednesday evening,
February 16, at 6 o'clock in St.
Mark's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, the Rev. Paul H. Fretthold
performing the double ring
ceremony in the presence of 200
relatives and friends. The church
decorations were palms and baskets
of mixed flowers.
Given in marriage by her uncle,
Mr. Amos Eaton, the bride wore
a gown of white satin having long
sleeves coming to points at the
wrftts, princess neckline outlined
with tiny white pearls, tiny buttons
down the back to the waist
and a long train. Her finger tip
veil fell from a Juliet crown of
orange blossoms. She wore a
string of pearls, the gift of the
groom, and carried an arm bouquet
of calla lilies.
Miss Gladys Gable was maid of
honor wearing a yellow gown of
marquisette princess style, with
roses and freesia in her hair and
carried talisman roses. The
bridesmaids were Miss Pearl Witkop,
sister of the groom, wearing
blue marquisette, Mrs. Gilbert
Fritzke in aqua marquisette and
Miss Betty Goetz of Buffalo in
pink marquisette all similar in
style to the maid of honor. AH
wore floral headdresses to and
carried bouquets of roses in pastel
colors to correspond with their
gowns.
The flower girls were Miss
Nancy Browning wearing a long
frock of blue organdy and Miss
Janet Martin, niece of the bride,
a pink organdy. Each carried a
colonial bouquet.
Mr. Gilbert Fritzke was best
man, and the ushers were Messrs.
Levant Vorpahl, Glen Kramer
and Maynard Seal.
The bride's mother wore a
garnet red crepe gown with brown
accessories and a corsage of gardenias
and freesia.
Following the ceremony a dinner,
with covers for seventy, was
given at Fanger's where the
bride's table was centered with
a beautiful tiered wedding cake.
Later a buffet luncheon was
served. Out of town guests were
present from Buffalo, Olean,
Jamestown and Lockport. Mr.
and Mrs. Witkop left for a wedding
trip to New York City for
the week-end, and upon their
return will make their home in
254 Kohler street. For travelling
the bride wore a cherry pink
suit, with brown accessories and
an orchid corsage.
Pre-nuptial parties in complement
to the bride were given by
Mrs. Lloyd Long, Mrs. Amos
Eaton, Mrs. Gilbert Fritzke, Miss
Betty Goetz, Miss Carol and Mrs.
Howard Witkop, and Mrs. Addison
Martin.
