:-At the home of the bride's parents
Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Smith, Wednesday,
March 29th, occurred the marriage of
their daughter, Mayme, and Henry
Zahno, of Niagara Falls, in the presence
of only the immediate relatives and a
few personal friends. At 8;30 the
couple took their places beneath an evergreen
arch, banked with potted plants
and; flowers. The_ceremony. was performed
by Rev G. O. Meyer, pastor of
the Evangelical church. The bride was
gowned in cream nunsveiling trimmed
with applique. The bridesmaid, Miss
Sarah' Smith, sister of bride, wore a
white silk waist with tuff skirt. The
groom and best man, John Smith, wore
black. The ring was carried by the little
niece of the bride, Lucile Wakefield.
The presents were numerous and mostly
useful, including linen,silver and money.
After congratulations the company of about
thirty sat down to a wedding supper,
following which.the little daughter
of Mr. and Mrs Edward Smith, of Carthage,
-was-baptized Majorie E. Smith.
The happy couple left on the 8:15; train
for their home at Niagara Falls. Mrs.
Zahno has many friends here who very
much regret that she must leave here
but who will join in wishing her a long
life.of prosperity and happiness. Mr.
Zahno is a young man with bright prospects'for
the future.
