The home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob
Zobrist, of Shawmut, Pa., was the
scene of a Golden Wedding Annilor
versary party, held in their honor,
on Saturday, June 18. The
celebration was enthusiastically
enjoyed by everyone in attendi
ance, all members of the family
being present with the exception
of two of the grandsons, Kenneth
Malchow, of Tonawanda, N. Y.
and Paul H. Zobrist, who is with
the A.A.F. in Tucson, Arizona.
Mr. and Mrs. Zobrist were
married fifty years ago in Brians,
Switzerland. They came to America
in 1912 to make their home
and have lived in Shawmut, Pa.,
up to the present time.
° They have eight children, as
follows: Jacob Zobrist of North
Tonawanda; Paul Zobrist, Shaw-
mut; Arnold Zobrist, North Tonawanda;
Mrs, Raymond Malchow
of Tonawanda; Ernest Zobrist of
North Tonawanda; Mrs. John Mc
Cully of North Tonawanda; John
Zobrist of Niagara Falls, N. Y. and
Fred Zobrist of North Tonawanda.
Grandchildren and one greatgrandchild
in attendance include.
Jack Zobrist, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
L. Grand and son, Timmy, of
Akron, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis
Zobrist: Donald and Neal Malchow;
Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Kruse;
Virginia, Richard and Jean Zobrist;
John and Jacqueline Mc
Cutly; Michael and William Zobrist
Celebrating with Mr. and Mrs.
Zobrist and family were Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob Moser, of LeRoy, Minnesota
and daughter Ruth Moser
of Bu|falo. N. Y. Also Mr. Fred
Kohler of Niagara Falls, N. Y,
Mr. Zobrist, who, for the past
five months has been on the sick
list, is steadily improving, and it
is sincerely hoped by their many
friends and relatives that he will
enjoy complete recovery soon.
