Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Zobrist,
1400B Nash Road, North
Tonawanda, will observe their
50th wedding anniversary Sept.
1.
An anniversary tea scheduled
in Payne Avenue Christian
Church Sunday has been
postponed due to the
hospitalization of Mr. Zobrist.
Mr. Zobrist, a native of
Brienz, Switzerland, and the
former Twila Fay Smith of Mt.
Pleasant, Pa., were married
Sept. 1,1925, in First Methodist
Church, North Tonawanda.
They are active members of
-Payne Avenue Christian
Church and Rosedale Rebekah
Lodge. Mr. Zobrist also belongs
to Electric City Lodge, IOOF.
They have three children,
Mrs. Robert (Verda Ann)
Grand of Fremont, Calif., Jack
Zobrist of North Tonawanda
and Paul Zobrist of Las Vegas.
Nev. They also have eight
grandchildren, Timothy and
Laura Grand and Mrs. Michael
(Pamela) Quier, all of
Fremont; Randy, Paula and
Carla Zobrist, all of Las Vegas;
Mrs. David (Brenda) Long of
Lockport and Lorna Zobrist of
North Tonawanda. In addition,
they are the greatgrandparents
of five, Arianne
and Jason Grand, Jerilyn and
Cindy Quier and Brian Long.
