Miss Sadie McVea daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John McVea of Oakfleld, was united
in marriage last evening to Joseph Peard
of East Pembroke hy the Rev. K. C. Thompson
of Oakfleld. The ceremony occurred at
8:30 o'clock at the home of the bride's sister,
Mrs. Edward Wicks of No. 28 Liberty,
street, Batavia.- About forty guests were
present. The bride was attired in a' traveling
dress of greeti material and stood with
the groom under a handsome floral horseshoe.
The home was handsomely trimmed
with flowers and palms, _
After supper had been served Mr. and
Mrs. Peard were driven to the Central station,
where they took The 10:25 o'clock train
for a short wedding trip. They will reside
in Oakfleld. The wedding presents were
beautiful and valuable.
