The marriage of Miss Violet L.
Stahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank E. Stahl of 39 Hill place, to
Edward J. Smith, son of Mr. and
Mrs. William E. Smith of 82 Minerva
street, took place Saturday
afternoon at 3 o'clock in Salem
Evangelical church, the Rev. Walter
F. Hetzel officiating in the
presence of the immediate families.
The bride wore a gown of white
organza with a spray of matching
flowers in her hair, and carried a
shower bouquet of white roses.
Miss Norma Smith, sister of the
groom, was maid of honor, wearing
peach color mousseline de soie
with matching flowers in her haid,
and she carried talisman roses.
William Foels attended the groom
as best man.
Following the ceremony, a dinner
was given at Mary Burns tearoom
in Snyder. The bride's table
was centered with a large
wedding cake, and the other
guests were seated at a large Tshaped
table. Later a reception
was given at the home of the
bride's parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith have left
for a wedding trip to the Adirondacks,
and will be at home after
July 18 in 39 Hill place.
