Miss Mildred Ackerman of Keil
street delightfully entertained
Tuesday evening at a personal
shower in complement to her sis-
ter, Miss Adeline Ackerman, whose
marriage to Rev. C. L. Braun will
take place next month. The
house was attractively decorated
in a color scheme of blue and
orange, numerous bouquets of
autumn flowers being effectively
used. Cards were enjoyed, the
prizes being won by Mrs. Mark
Loveland, Mrs. Alfred Schoelles,
Mrs. Alfred Lorenz and Mrs. Theo-
dore Goldpenny, and a guest prize
was presented to Miss Ackerman.
A delicious luncheon was served
following cards, covers being laid
for eighteen at one long table
centered with a low blue bowl of
calendulas, on either side of which
were tall orange tapers in blue
holders.

The marriage of Miss Adeline
Sophia Ackerman, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Churles Ackerman, to the
Rev. Clarence Ludwig Braun of North
Tonawanda, N. Y., took place on November
11 tn at the Grace Evangelioal
Lutheran Church, the Rev. Herman
Brezing officiating. The bride, who
was given in marriage by her father,
wore a white transparent velvet gown
and her veil was caught in cap effect.
She carried a white Morroco bound
Bible. The bridesmaids were Miss
Nora Babel, who wore a light capucine
velvet gown and slippers to match.
Miss Louise A. Braun wore a deeper
capucine velvet gown and Miss Myra
E. Ackerman was attired in a Claro
brown velvet gown. They all carried
arm bouquets of chrysanthemums.
Artha M. Luck was flower girl and
wore a pink flat crepe frock. Edgar
O. Braun was ringbearer. The Rev.
Edward J. Fisher attended the groom
and the ushers were the Rev Hugo L.
Bressler and the Rev. Herbert L.
Slegner. Among the out-of-town
guests were: Valentine Braun. Garden*,
Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. William
Lashner. Wilson. N. Y.; The. Rev. and
Mrs. Frank F. Welkner, Farnham. N.
Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar G. Braun and
