LYNDONVILLE - At a ceremony
performed Fridat a 5:30 p.m. at
the parsonage of the Trinity Evan-
gelical Lutheran church in Medina,
Miss Marian Tompkins, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Hartwell Tompkins,
Brockport, became the bride of
Carl Balschmiter, son of Mr. and
Mrs. William Balschmiter, of Lyn-
donville.
The witnesses to the service,
which was performed by the Rev.
Malte, was the groom's sister,
Miss Gertrude Balschmiter and the
bride's brother, Edward Tompkins,
Brockport.
The bride wore a street dress of
white and pink silk print with navy
accessories. Her corsage was pink
roses.
The maid of honor wore a plain
crepe with black accessories
and a corsage of bronze rorses.
After a delightful dinner was served
the two couples after which the
bride and groom left on a short
trip.
Mrs. Balschmiter, a graduate of
Brockport Normal school, before
her marriage taught in Lyndonville
Central school district.
Upon their return the couple will
be at home at Yates Center.
The groom is employed by Fred
Langdon's trucking concern in
Lyndonville.
