Following a New York City honeymoon, Mr. and
Mrs. Philip Martin O'Rourke, who were married Saturday
morning at 11 in St. Patrick's Church Lockport,
will make their home at 461 Walnut St., Lockport
The Rev. Leo F. Reddy officiated at the ceremony before
the altar graced with baskets of white mixed
flowers.
The bride, the former Brenda
Grace Barron, is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Barron
of Burt. The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Philip F.
O'Rourke of 11 Grosvenor St.,
Lockport.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride's gown of silk
bambazine was fashioned with a
bustle back falling to a chapel
length train. The scoop neckline
featured alencon lace reembroid-
ered with pearls and sequins. She
wore a lace pillbow headpiece, re-
embroidered with pearls and se-
quins, which held a double illu-
sion fingertip veil. A diamond pen-
dant was a gift of the groom. She
carried a cascade bouquet of
white carnations and mums.
GROOM'S SISTER
Mrs. Robert Waas, sister of
the groom, acted as matron of
honor. Her emerald green velvet
street-length dress was fashioned
with a scoop neckline and caps
sleeves. A small white fur hat
and white fur muff, centered with
a red poinsettia and holly, completed
her attire.
The bridesmaids, the Misses
Sally Carpenter, Lockport, Jean
Morey, Newfane, and Kirs Karsten,
Wilson, cousin of the bride,
were identically attired to that of
the matron of honor except that
their muffs were centered with
red poinsettia and white streamers.
wore a floor-length dress of red
velvet fashioned like that of the
other attendants. She wore a holly
headpiece and her white fur muff
was centered with holly.
Robert Waas of Lockport was
best man. Ushering duties were
performed by Terry Brown of
Newfane, Robert Molnar of Middleport
and David Barron of Burt,
brother of the bride.
Miss Mary Lou Eaton of Newfane,
soloist, was accompanied by
Mrs. Carl Kilroy of Lockport.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Barron favored a willow
green sheath dress of wool lace
and jersey with beige accessories
and a corsage of yellow baby orchids-
The groom's mother chose
a light green brocade sheath dress
with matching Jacket, green accessories
and a corsage of yellow
baby orchids.
250 GUESTS
The wedding breakfast was
served at the Elks Club, Lockport,
for the bridal party end members
of the immediate families.
A reception from 2 to 5 for 250
guests was held in the same hall.
A three-tiered wedding cake,
topped with a miniature bride
arid groom under a wedding bell,
was encircled with the attendants'
muffs.
When the bride left with the
groom, she was wearing a black
wool two-piece dress, white accessories
and a white orchid corsage.
Guests attended from Olcott,
Burt, Barker, Newfane and Middleport
The bride was graduated from
Newfane Central High School and
Central Technical School. The
groom is a Barker High School
graduate.
The bride was entertained at
a variety shower given by Mrs.
Albert Barron, an aunt, of 124
Spalding St., a kitchen shower by
Mrs. L. M. Douglas of Newfane;
a linen shower by Mitt Sally Carpenter
of Lockport, and a personal
shower by Miss Jean Morey of
Newfane.
