Mr. And Mrs. W. A. Bayne, of
LaSalle avenue, announce the marriage
of their younger daughter,
Vernette, to Sergeant Raymond
Gentner, U. S. Marine Corps. Sergeant
Gentner, who is stationed at
Camp Le Jeune, North Carolina,
is the son of Mrs. William A.
Smith, of Waverly, New York.
The ceremony was performed on
September 29, in the rectory of St.
Michael's church, Silver Sprlrigs,
Maryland, by the Rev. Leo J. Mccormick.
The bride was attired in
a powder blue Wool frock with
fuchsia accessories. She wore a
dainty corsage of rosebuds.
Miss Blanche Green, of Washington.
D. C, was the bride's only
attendant. The best man was
Corporal Stanley Decker, U. S. Ma-
rine Corps, also of Washington,
D. C.
After s hort honeymoon in
Washington, D. C., Sergeant Gent-
ner resumed his duties in North
Carolina and Mrs. Genter re-
turned to Niagara Falls, where she
will reside with her parents.
