Mrs. Helen Rathgeber of 234 Niagara
street announces the engagement
of her daughter, Frances Catherine,
to Mr. Edward Robert Hemple
of North Tonawanda.

Nuptial high mass was solemnized
this morning at 9 o'clock in the Ascension
Church in Robinson street,
when Miss Frances Catherine Rathgeber,
daughter of Mrs. Helen Rathge
ber of 234 Niagara street, was
united in marriage to Mr. Edward
Robert Hemple of North Tonawanda.
The church was beautifully decorated
with white and pink peonies, snowballs
and carnations. The altar was
banked with palms and flowers. Mrs.
Anna Forton. organist, at Ascension
church played the Lohengrin wedding
march, and also accompanied the
choir for the wedding music which
included the Ave Maria. The Rev. ML E.
Colligan performed the ceremony.
The bride was gowned in white crepe-de-
chine fashioned entraine, with
pearl trimming and shadow lace. Her
veil was prettily arranged in a Juliet
rap and caught with orange blossoms.
She carried a shower bouquet of
Bride roses. Miss Lillian Margaret
Rathgeber, who was her sister's maid
of-honor wore a gown of pale blue
crepe-de-ehine with pearl trimming
and shadow lace. She wore a blue
Juliet cap with shadow lace and car-
ried an arm bouquet of pink roses.
Mr. Albert L. Greno was the best man.
The ushers were Messrs. George and
William Rathgeber, the two brothers
of the bride. A large number of
guests were present at the church including
guests from Buffalo. After
the ceremony the wedding breakfast
was served at the home of the bride's
mother, only the immediate families
being present.
Mr. and Mrs. Hemple left for a wedding
journey to Detroit, Mich., and
other western cities- and upon their
return will be at home in 119 Miller
street, after July 1st.
